Matthew 5
1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into the mountain; and when he had sat down, his disciples came to him.
ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖି ଯୀଶୁ ପାହାଡ ଉପରକୁ ଚଢ଼ିଲେ, ପୁଣି, ବସିବା ପରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସିଲେ।
2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying: —
ସେଥିରେ ସେ ମୁଖ ଫିଟାଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଇ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ,
3 Blessed are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
“ଆତ୍ମାରେ ଦୀନହୀନ ଲୋକେ ଧନ୍ୟ, କାରଣ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କର।
4 Blessed are they who mourn; for they will be comforted.
ଶୋକାର୍ତ୍ତ ଲୋକେ ଧନ୍ୟ, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ସାନ୍ତ୍ୱନାପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେବେ।
5 Blessed are the meek; for they will inherit the earth.
ନମ୍ର ଲୋକେ ଧନ୍ୟ, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ପୃଥିବୀର ଅଧିକାରୀ ହେବେ।
6 Blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness; for they will be filled.
ଧାର୍ମିକତା ନିମନ୍ତେ କ୍ଷୁଧିତ ଓ ତୃଷିତ ଲୋକେ ଧନ୍ୟ, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ପରିତୃପ୍ତ ହେବେ।
7 Blessed are the merciful; for they will obtain mercy.
ଦୟାଳୁ ଲୋକେ ଧନ୍ୟ, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଦୟା ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେବେ।
8 Blessed are the pure in heart; for they will see God.
ଶୁଦ୍ଧଚିତ୍ତ ଲୋକେ ଧନ୍ୟ, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଦର୍ଶନ ପାଇବେ।
9 Blessed are the peace-makers; for they will be called sons of God.
ଶାନ୍ତିକାରକ ଲୋକେ ଧନ୍ୟ, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ ଭାବରେ ପରିଚିତ ହେବେ।
10 Blessed are they who are persecuted for righteousness' sake; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
ଧାର୍ମିକତା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାଡ଼ନାପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ଲୋକେ ଧନ୍ୟ, କାରଣ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କର।
11 Blessed are ye, when men revile you, and persecute you, and say every thing that is bad against you, falsely, for my sake.
ଲୋକେ ଯେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ମୋʼ ସକାଶେ ନିନ୍ଦା ଓ ତାଡ଼ନା କରନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି, ମିଥ୍ୟାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରକାର ମନ୍ଦ କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଧନ୍ୟ।
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad; for great is your reward in heaven; for so did they persecute the prophets that were before you.
ଆନନ୍ଦ କର ଓ ଉଲ୍ଲସିତ ହୁଅ, କାରଣ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପୁରସ୍କାର ପ୍ରଚୁର; ସେହିପରି ତ ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଆସିଥିବା ଭାବବାଦୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାଡ଼ନା କରିଥିଲେ।
13 Ye are the salt of the earth. But if the salt have lost its savor, wherewith shall itself be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot by men.
ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପୃଥିବୀର ଲବଣ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଲବଣ ଯଦି ସ୍ୱାଦବିହୀନ, ତେବେ ତାହା କାହିଁରେ ଲବଣାକ୍ତ ହେବ? ତାହା ଆଉ କୌଣସି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟଯୋଗ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ, କେବଳ ବାହାରେ ପକାଯାଇ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ପାଦ ତଳେ ଦଳିତ ହେବାର ଯୋଗ୍ୟ।
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid;
ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜଗତର ଜ୍ୟୋତିଃ। ପର୍ବତ ଉପରେ ସ୍ଥାପିତ ନଗର ଗୁପ୍ତ ହୋଇ ରହି ନ ପାରେ;
15 nor do men light a lamp, and put it under the bushel, but on the lamp-stand; and it giveth light to all that are in the house.
କିବା ଲୋକମାନେ ଦୀପ ଜାଳି ମାଣ ତଳେ ରଖନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ଦୀପରୁଖା ଉପରେ ରଖନ୍ତି, ସେଥିରେ ତାହା ଗୃହରେ ଥିବା ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକକୁ ଆଲୋକ ଦିଏ।
16 In like manner let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
ସେପ୍ରକାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଆଲୋକ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଉ, ଯେପରି ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସତ୍କର୍ମ ଦେଖି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗସ୍ଥ ପିତାଙ୍କର ମହିମା କୀର୍ତ୍ତନ କରିବେ।
17 Think not that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets: I came not to destroy, but to fulfill.
ମୁଁ ଯେ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା କି ଭାବବାଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ର ଲୋପ କରିବାକୁ ଆସିଅଛି, ଏପରି ଭାବ ନାହିଁ; ଲୋପ କରିବାକୁ ଆସି ନାହିଁ ବରଂ ସଫଳ କରିବାକୁ ଆସିଅଛି।
18 For truly do I say to you, Not till heaven and earth pass away, shall one jot or one tittle pass from the Law, till all be fulfilled.
କାରଣ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, ଯେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆକାଶମଣ୍ଡଳ ଓ ପୃଥିବୀ ଲୋପ ନ ପାଇବ, ସେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସମସ୍ତ ନ ଘଟିବା ଯାଏ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାରୁ ଏକ ମାତ୍ରା କି ଏକ ବିନ୍ଦୁ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରକାରେ ଲୋପ ପାଇବ ନାହିଁ।
19 Whoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, will be called the least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever shall do and teach them, he will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
ଅତଏବ ଯେ କେହି ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ରତମ ଆଜ୍ଞା ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କୌଣସି ଗୋଟିଏ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଅମାନ୍ୟ କରେ ଓ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ସେହି ପ୍ରକାରେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଏ, ସେ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟରେ କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ରତମ ବୋଲି ପରିଚିତ ହେବ; କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେକେହି ସେହି ସମସ୍ତ ପାଳନ କରେ ଓ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଏ, ସେ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟରେ ମହାନ ବୋଲି ପରିଚିତ ହେବ।
20 For I say to you, Unless your righteousness shall exceed that of the scribes and Pharisees, ye will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
କାରଣ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଧାର୍ମିକତା ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଓ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନଙ୍କ ଧାର୍ମିକତା ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଅଧିକ ନ ହେଲେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରକାରେ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
21 Ye have heard that it was said to them of old time, “Thou shalt not kill; and whoever shall kill, shall be in danger of the Judges.”
ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶୁଣିଅଛ ଯେ, ପୁରାତନ କାଳର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହାଯାଇଥିଲା, ‘ନରହତ୍ୟା କର ନାହିଁ, ଆଉ ଯେ କେହି ନରହତ୍ୟା କରେ ସେ ବିଚାରସ୍ଥାନରେ ଦଣ୍ଡନୀୟ ହେବ।’
22 But I say to you, that whoever is angry with his brother shall be in danger of the Judges; and whoever shall say to his brother, Simpleton! shall be in danger of the Council; and whoever shall say, Fool! shall be in danger of hell-fire. (Geenna g1067)
କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ଯେ କେହି ଆପଣା ଭାଇ ଉପରେ କ୍ରୋଧ କରେ, ସେ ବିଚାରସ୍ଥାନରେ ଦଣ୍ଡନୀୟ ହେବ। ପୁଣି, ଯେ କେହି ଆପଣା ଭାଇ କି ‘ମୂର୍ଖ’ ବୋଲି କହେ, ସେ ମହାସଭାରେ ଦଣ୍ଡିତ ହେବ; ଆଉ ଯେ କେହି ‘ପାଷାଣ୍ଡ’ ବୋଲି କହେ, ସେ ଅଗ୍ନିମୟ ନର୍କରେ ଦଣ୍ଡନୀୟ ହେବ। (Geenna g1067)
23 Therefore, if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there remember that thy brother hath aught against thee,
ଅତଏବ ଯଦି ବେଦି ନିକଟକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଜର ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ଆଣୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଭାଇର କୌଣସି କଥା ଅଛି ବୋଲି ସେଠାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ମନେ ପଡ଼େ,
24 leave there thy gift before the altar, and go away; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
ତାହାହେଲେ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ବେଦି ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ଥୋଇଦେଇ ଚାଲିଯାଅ, ଆଗେ ନିଜ ଭାଇ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ମିଳିତ ହୁଅ, ଆଉ ତାହା ପରେ ଆସି ତୁମ୍ଭର ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କର।
25 Agree with thine adversary at law quickly, while thou art on the road with him; lest the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିବାଦୀ ସହିତ ବାଟରେ ଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଶୀଘ୍ର ତାହା ପ୍ରତି ମିଳନର ଭାବ ଦେଖାଅ, କାଳେ ବିବାଦୀ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବିଚାରକର୍ତ୍ତାଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବ, ପୁଣି, ବିଚାରକର୍ତ୍ତା ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପଦାତିକ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବେ, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାରାଗାରରେ ନିକ୍ଷିପ୍ତ ହେବ।
26 Truly do I say to thee, Thou wilt not come out thence, till thou hast paid the last farthing.
ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଶେଷ ପାହୁଲାଟି ନ ଶୁଝିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସେ ସ୍ଥାନରୁ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରକାରେ ବାହାରି ଆସିପାରିବ ନାହିଁ।
27 Ye have heard that it was said, “Thou shalt not commit adultery.”
ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶୁଣିଅଛ, ଉକ୍ତ ଅଛି, ‘ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କର ନାହିଁ।’
28 But I say to you, that whoever looketh on a woman to lust after her, hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ଯେ କେହି କୌଣସି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପ୍ରତି କାମ-ଭାବରେ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିପାତ କରେ, ସେ ତାହା ସଙ୍ଗରେ ମନେ ମନେ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କଲାଣି।
29 And if thy right eye cause thee to offend, pluck it out, and cast it from thee; for it is better for thee that one of thy members should perish, than that thy whole body should be cast into hell. (Geenna g1067)
ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଯେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିଘ୍ନର କାରଣ ହୁଏ, ତେବେ ତାହା ଉପାଡ଼ି ଫୋପାଡ଼ି ଦିଅ, କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସମସ୍ତ ଶରୀର ନର୍କରେ ପଡ଼ିବା ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଗୋଟିଏ ଅଙ୍ଗ ନଷ୍ଟ ହେବା ତୁମ୍ଭ ପକ୍ଷରେ ଲାଭଜନକ। (Geenna g1067)
30 And if thy right hand cause thee to offend, cut it off, and cast it from thee; for it is better for thee that one of thy members should perish, than that thy whole body should go away into hell. (Geenna g1067)
ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ହସ୍ତ ଯେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିଘ୍ନର କାରଣ ହୁଏ, ତେବେ ତାହା କାଟି ଫୋପାଡ଼ିଦିଅ, କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସମସ୍ତ ଶରୀର ନର୍କରେ ପଡ଼ିବା ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଗୋଟିଏ ଅଙ୍ଗ ନଷ୍ଟ ହେବା ତୁମ୍ଭ ପକ୍ଷରେ ଲାଭଜନକ। (Geenna g1067)
31 And it was said, “Whoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement.”
ଆହୁରି ଉକ୍ତ ଅଛି, ‘ଯେ କେହି ଆପଣା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରେ, ସେ ତାହାକୁ ଛାଡ଼ପତ୍ର ଦେଉ।’
32 But I say to you, that whoever putteth away his wife, unless it be on account of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery; and whoever shall marry her when put away, committeth adultery.
କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ଯେ କେହି ଆପଣା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର ଦୋଷ ବିନା ଅନ୍ୟ କାରଣରୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରେ, ସେ ତାହାକୁ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାରିଣୀ କରାଏ; ଆଉ ଯେ କେହି ପରିତ୍ୟକ୍ତା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ବିବାହ କରେ, ସେ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କରେ।
33 Again ye have heard that it was said to them of old time, “Thou shalt not swear falsely, but shalt perform to the Lord thine oaths.”
ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶୁଣିଅଛ ଯେ, ପୁରାତନ କାଳର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହାଯାଇଥିଲା, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମିଥ୍ୟା ଶପଥ କର ନାହିଁ ମାତ୍ର ଆପଣା ଶପଥସବୁ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ପାଳନ କରିବ।’
34 But I say to you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God;
କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ଆଦୌ ଶପଥ କର ନାହିଁ; ସ୍ୱର୍ଗର ଶପଥ କର ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ତାହା ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସିଂହାସନ;
35 nor by the earth, for it is his footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King;
କିମ୍ବା ପୃଥିବୀର ଶପଥ କର ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ତାହା ତାହାଙ୍କର ପାଦପୀଠ; ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରର ଶପଥ କର ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ତାହା ମହାରାଜାଙ୍କ ନଗରୀ;
36 nor shalt thou swear by thy head, for thou canst not make one hair white or black.
ଆପଣା ମସ୍ତକର ଶପଥ କର ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ତାହାର ଗୋଟିଏ କେଶ ଧଳା ବା କଳା କରିବାକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶକ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
37 But let your language be, Yea, yea; Nay; nay; for whatever is more than these cometh of evil.
କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ହଁ କଥା ‘ହଁ’ ହେଉ, ନା କଥା ‘ନା’ ହେଉ; ଏଥିରୁ ଯାହା ଅଧିକ, ତାହା ମନ୍ଦରୁ ଜନ୍ମେ।
38 Ye have heard that it was said, “An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.”
ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶୁଣିଅଛ, ଉକ୍ତ ଅଛି, ‘ଚକ୍ଷୁର ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତେ ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଓ ଦନ୍ତର ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତେ ଦନ୍ତ;’
39 But I say to you, that ye resist not the evil-doer; but whoever smiteth thee on the right cheek, turn to him the other also;
କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ପ୍ରତିରୋଧ କର ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ଯେ କେହି ତୁମ୍ଭର ଡାହାଣ ଗାଲରେ ଚାପୁଡ଼ା ମାରେ, ତାହାକୁ ଅନ୍ୟ ଗାଲ ମଧ୍ୟ ଦେଖାଇଦିଅ।
40 and if any one intends to sue thee at the law, and take thy coat, give up to him thy cloak also;
ଆଉ କେହି ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ବିଚାରସ୍ଥାନରେ ବିବାଦ କରି ତୁମ୍ଭର ଅଙ୍ଗରଖା ନେବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ, ତାହାକୁ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ମଧ୍ୟ ଦେଇଦିଅ।
41 and whoever shall compel thee to go one mile, go with him two.
ପୁଣି, ଯେ କେହି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କୋଶେ ଯିବା ପାଇଁ ବାଧ୍ୟ କରେ, ତାହା ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଦୁଇ କୋଶ ଯାଅ।
42 Give to him that asketh of thee; and from him that would borrow of thee, turn not away.
ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ମାଗେ, ତାହାକୁ ଦିଅ, ପୁଣି, ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭଠାରୁ ଋଣ ନେବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ, ତାହା ପ୍ରତି ବିମୁଖ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ।
43 Ye have heard that it was said, “Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy.”
ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶୁଣିଅଛ, ଉକ୍ତ ଅଛି, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରତିବାସୀକୁ ପ୍ରେମ କର ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶତ୍ରୁକୁ ଘୃଣା କର।’
44 But I say to you, Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you;
କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କର, ପୁଣି, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାଡ଼ନା କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କର,
45 that ye may become sons of your Father who is in heaven; for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗସ୍ଥ ପିତାଙ୍କର ସନ୍ତାନ ହେବ; ସେ ତ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଓ ସନ୍ଥ ଉଭୟଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଆପଣା ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଉଦୟ କରାନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି, ଧାର୍ମିକ ଓ ଅଧାର୍ମିକମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ବୃଷ୍ଟି ବର୍ଷାନ୍ତି।
46 For if ye love those who love you, what reward have ye? Do not even the publicans the same?
ଆଉ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କଲେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର କି ପୁରସ୍କାର? କରଗ୍ରାହୀମାନେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା କଅଣ ତାହା କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye that excelleth? Do not even the heathen the same?
ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯଦି କେବଳ ନିଜ ନିଜ ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କୁ ନମସ୍କାର କର, ତେବେ ଅଧିକ କଅଣ କର? ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା କଅଣ ତାହା କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
ଅତଏବ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗସ୍ଥ ପିତା ଯେପରି ସିଦ୍ଧ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେହିପରି ସିଦ୍ଧ ହୁଅ।
