Matthew 26
1 And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, that he said to his disciples,
යීශුරේතාන් ප්‍රස්තාවාන් සමාප්‍ය ශිෂ්‍යානූචේ,
2 Ye know that after two days cometh the passover; and the Son of man is delivered up to be crucified.
යුෂ්මාභි ර්ඥාතං දිනද්වයාත් පරං නිස්තාරමහ උපස්ථාස්‍යති, තත්‍ර මනුජසුතඃ ක්‍රුශේන හන්තුං පරකරේෂු සමර්පිෂ්‍යතේ|
3 Then the chief priests and the elders of the people assembled in the court of the palace of the high-priest, named Caiaphas;
තතඃ පරං ප්‍රධානයාජකාධ්‍යාපකප්‍රාඤ්චඃ කියඵානාම්නෝ මහායාජකස්‍යාට්ටාලිකායාං මිලිත්වා
4 and took counsel together that they might seize Jesus by craft, and put him to death.
කේනෝපායේන යීශුං ධෘත්වා හන්තුං ශක්නුයුරිති මන්ත්‍රයාඤ්චක්‍රුඃ|
5 But they said, Not at the feast, lest there be an uproar among the people.
කින්තු තෛරුක්තං මහකාලේ න ධර්ත්තව්‍යඃ, ධෘතේ ප්‍රජානාං කලහේන භවිතුං ශක්‍යතේ|
6 Now when Jesus was at Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,
තතෝ බෛථනියාපුරේ ශිමෝනාඛ්‍යස්‍ය කුෂ්ඨිනෝ වේශ්මනි යීශෞ තිෂ්ඨති
7 there came to him a woman having an alabaster bottle of very costly ointment, and poured it on his head while he was reclining at table.
කාචන යෝෂා ශ්වේතෝපලභාජනේන මහාර්ඝ්‍යං සුගන්ධි තෛලමානීය භෝජනායෝපවිශතස්තස්‍ය ශිරෝභ්‍යෂේචත්|
8 But the disciples seeing it, were much displeased, saying, To what purpose is this waste?
කින්තු තදාලෝක්‍ය තච්ඡිෂ්‍යෛඃ කුපිතෛරුක්තං, කුත ඉත්ථමපව්‍යයතේ?
9 For this might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.
චේදිදං ව්‍යක්‍රේෂ්‍යත, තර්හි භූරිමූල්‍යං ප්‍රාප්‍ය දරිද්‍රේභ්‍යෝ ව්‍යතාරිෂ්‍යත|
10 And Jesus, perceiving it, said to them, Why do ye trouble the woman? For she hath done a good deed to me.
යීශුනා තදවගත්‍ය තේ සමුදිතාඃ, යෝෂාමේනාං කුතෝ දුඃඛිනීං කුරුථ, සා මාං ප්‍රති සාධු කර්ම්මාකාර්ෂීත්|
11 For the poor ye have always with you; but me ye have not always.
යුෂ්මාකමං සමීපේ දරිද්‍රාඃ සතතමේවාසතේ, කින්තු යුෂ්මාකමන්තිකේහං නාසේ සතතං|
12 For she, in pouring this ointment on my body, hath done it to prepare me for burial.
සා මම කායෝපරි සුගන්ධිතෛලං සික්ත්වා මම ශ්මශානදානකර්ම්මාකාර්ෂීත්|
13 Truly do I say to you, Wherever these glad tidings shall be published in the whole world, this too which she hath done will be told for a memorial of her.
අතෝහං යුෂ්මාන් තථ්‍යං වදාමි සර්ව්වස්මින් ජගති යත්‍ර යත්‍රෛෂ සුසමාචාරඃ ප්‍රචාරිෂ්‍යතේ, තත්‍ර තත්‍රෛතස්‍යා නාර‍්‍ය්‍යාඃ ස්මරණාර්ථම් කර්ම්මේදං ප්‍රචාරිෂ්‍යතේ|
14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests,
තතෝ ද්වාදශශිෂ්‍යාණාම් ඊෂ්කරියෝතීයයිහූදානාමක ඒකඃ ශිෂ්‍යඃ ප්‍රධානයාජකානාමන්තිකං ගත්වා කථිතවාන්,
15 and said, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him up to you? And they paid him thirty pieces of silver.
යදි යුෂ්මාකං කරේෂු යීශුං සමර්පයාමි, තර්හි කිං දාස්‍යථ? තදානීං තේ තස්මෛ ත්‍රිංශන්මුද්‍රා දාතුං ස්ථිරීකෘතවන්තඃ|
16 And from that time he sought an opportunity to deliver him up.
ස තදාරභ්‍ය තං පරකරේෂු සමර්පයිතුං සුයෝගං චේෂ්ටිතවාන්|
17 And on the first of the days of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Where wilt thou that we make ready for thee to eat the passover?
අනන්තරං කිණ්වශූන්‍යපූපපර්ව්වණඃ ප්‍රථමේහ්නි ශිෂ්‍යා යීශුම් උපගත්‍ය පප්‍රච්ඡුඃ භවත්කෘතේ කුත්‍ර වයං නිස්තාරමහභෝජ්‍යම් ආයෝජයිෂ්‍යාමඃ? භවතඃ කේච්ඡා?
18 And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say to him, The Teacher saith, My time is at hand; I keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.
තදා ස ගදිතවාන්, මධ්‍යේනගරමමුකපුංසඃ සමීපං ව්‍රජිත්වා වදත, ගුරු ර්ගදිතවාන්, මත්කාලඃ සවිධඃ, සහ ශිෂ්‍යෛස්ත්වදාලයේ නිස්තාරමහභෝජ්‍යං භෝක්‍ෂ්‍යේ|
19 And the disciples did as Jesus directed them, and made ready the passover.
තදා ශිෂ්‍යා යීශෝස්තාදෘශනිදේශානුරූපකර්ම්ම විධාය තත්‍ර නිස්තාරමහභෝජ්‍යමාසාදයාමාසුඃ|
20 And when evening came, he took his place at table with the twelve disciples.
තතඃ සන්ධ්‍යායාං සත්‍යාං ද්වාදශභිඃ ශිෂ්‍යෛඃ සාකං ස න්‍යවිශත්|
21 And as they were eating, he said, Truly do I say to you, that one of you will betray me.
අපරං භුඤ්ජාන උක්තවාන් යුෂ්මාන් තථ්‍යං වදාමි, යුෂ්මාකමේකෝ මාං පරකරේෂු සමර්පයිෂ්‍යති|
22 And they were exceedingly sorrowful, and began every one to say to him, Is it I, Lord?
තදා තේ(අ)තීව දුඃඛිතා ඒකෛකශෝ වක්තුමාරේභිරේ, හේ ප්‍රභෝ, ස කිමහං?
23 And he answering said, He that hath dipped his hand with me in the dish, he will betray me.
තතඃ ස ජගාද, මයා සාකං යෝ ජනෝ භෝජනපාත්‍රේ කරං සංක්‍ෂිපති, ස ඒව මාං පරකරේෂු සමර්පයිෂ්‍යති|
24 The Son of man indeed goeth away, as it hath been written concerning him; but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! Well were it for that man if he had not been born.
මනුජසුතමධි යාදෘශං ලිඛිතමාස්තේ, තදනුරූපා තද්ගති ර්භවිෂ්‍යති; කින්තු යේන පුංසා ස පරකරේෂු සමර්පයිෂ්‍යතේ, හා හා චේත් ස නාජනිෂ්‍යත, තදා තස්‍ය ක්‍ෂේමමභවිෂ්‍යත්|
25 Then Judas, his betrayer, answering said, Is it I, Rabbi? He saith to him, It is.
තදා යිහූදානාමා යෝ ජනස්තං පරකරේෂු සමර්පයිෂ්‍යති, ස උක්තවාන්, හේ ගුරෝ, ස කිමහං? තතඃ ස ප්‍රත්‍යුක්තවාන්, ත්වයා සත්‍යං ගදිතම්|
26 And, as they were eating, Jesus took a loaf, and having blessed, broke it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
අනන්තරං තේෂාමශනකාලේ යීශුඃ පූපමාදායේශ්වරීයගුණානනූද්‍ය භංක්ත්වා ශිෂ්‍යේභ්‍යඃ ප්‍රදාය ජගාද, මද්වපුඃස්වරූපමිමං ගෘහීත්වා ඛාදත|
27 And he took a cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
පශ්චාත් ස කංසං ගෘහ්ලන් ඊශ්වරීයගුණානනූද්‍ය තේභ්‍යඃ ප්‍රදාය කථිතවාන්, සර්ව්වෛ ර‍්‍යුෂ්මාභිරනේන පාතව්‍යං,
28 for this is my blood of the covenant, which is shed for many for remission of sins.
යස්මාදනේකේෂාං පාපමර්ෂණාය පාතිතං යන්මන්නූත්නනියමරූපශෝණිතං තදේතත්|
29 And I say to you, I shall not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in the kingdom of my Father.
අපරමහං නූත්නගෝස්තනීරසං න පාස්‍යාමි, තාවත් ගෝස්තනීඵලරසං පුනඃ කදාපි න පාස්‍යාමි|
30 And having sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
පශ්චාත් තේ ගීතමේකං සංගීය ජෛතුනාඛ්‍යගිරිං ගතවන්තඃ|
31 Then Jesus saith to them, This night will all of you fall away from me; for it is written, “I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.”
තදානීං යීශුස්තානවෝචත්, අස්‍යාං රජන්‍යාමහං යුෂ්මාකං සර්ව්වේෂාං විඝ්නරූපෝ භවිෂ්‍යාමි, යතෝ ලිඛිතමාස්තේ, "මේෂාණාං රක්‍ෂකෝ යස්තං ප්‍රහරිෂ්‍යාම්‍යහං තතඃ| මේෂාණාං නිවහෝ නූනං ප්‍රවිකීර්ණෝ භවිෂ්‍යති"||
32 But after I have risen, I will go before you into Galilee.
කින්තු ශ්මශානාත් සමුත්ථාය යුෂ්මාකමග්‍රේ(අ)හං ගාලීලං ගමිෂ්‍යාමි|
33 Peter answering said to him, Though all should fall away from thee, yet will I never fall away.
පිතරස්තං ප්‍රෝවාච, භවාංශ්චේත් සර්ව්වේෂාං විඝ්නරූපෝ භවති, තථාපි මම න භවිෂ්‍යති|
34 Jesus said to him, Truly do I say to thee, that this night, before a cock crows, thou wilt thrice deny me.
තතෝ යීශුනා ස උක්තඃ, තුභ්‍යමහං තථ්‍යං කථයාමි, යාමින්‍යාමස්‍යාං චරණායුධස්‍ය රවාත් පූර්ව්වං ත්වං මාං ත්‍රි ර්නාඞ්ගීකරිෂ්‍යසි|
35 Peter saith to him, Even if I must die with thee, I will not deny thee. And so said all the disciples.
තතඃ පිතර උදිතවාන්, යද්‍යපි ත්වයා සමං මර්ත්තව්‍යං, තථාපි කදාපි ත්වාං න නාඞ්ගීකරිෂ්‍යාමි; තථෛව සර්ව්වේ ශිෂ්‍යාශ්චෝචුඃ|
36 Then Jesus cometh with them to a place called Gethsemane, and saith to the disciples, Sit here, while I go yonder and pray.
අනන්තරං යීශුඃ ශිෂ්‍යෛඃ සාකං ගේත්ශිමානීනාමකං ස්ථානං ප්‍රස්ථාය තේභ්‍යඃ කථිතවාන්, අදඃ ස්ථානං ගත්වා යාවදහං ප්‍රාර්ථයිෂ්‍යේ තාවද් යූයමත්‍රෝපවිශත|
37 And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to he sorrowful and full of anguish.
පශ්චාත් ස පිතරං සිවදියසුතෞ ච සඞ්ගිනඃ කෘත්වා ගතවාන්, ශෝකාකුලෝ(අ)තීව ව්‍යථිතශ්ච බභූව|
38 Then he saith to them, My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me.
තානවාදීච්ච මෘතියාතනේව මත්ප්‍රාණානාං යාතනා ජායතේ, යූයමත්‍ර මයා සාර්ද්ධං ජාගෘත|
39 And he came a little nearer, and fell on his face, praying and saying, Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me! nevertheless, not as I will, but as Thou wilt.
තතඃ ස කිඤ්චිද්දූරං ගත්වාධෝමුඛඃ පතන් ප්‍රාර්ථයාඤ්චක්‍රේ, හේ මත්පිතර‍්‍යදි භවිතුං ශක්නෝති, තර්හි කංසෝ(අ)යං මත්තෝ දූරං යාතු; කින්තු මදිච්ඡාවත් න භවතු, ත්වදිච්ඡාවද් භවතු|
40 And he cometh to the disciples, and findeth them sleeping, and saith to Peter, Is it so that ye could not watch with me one hour?
තතඃ ස ශිෂ්‍යානුපේත්‍ය තාන් නිද්‍රතෝ නිරීක්‍ෂ්‍ය පිතරාය කථයාමාස, යූයං මයා සාකං දණ්ඩමේකමපි ජාගරිතුං නාශන්කුත?
41 Watch, and pray that ye enter not into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
පරීක්‍ෂායාං න පතිතුං ජාගෘත ප්‍රාර්ථයධ්වඤ්ච; ආත්මා සමුද්‍යතෝස්ති, කින්තු වපු ර්දුර්බ්බලං|
42 Again he went away a second time, and prayed, saying, My Father, if this [[cup]] cannot pass away from me, but I must drink it, thy will be done!
ස ද්විතීයවාරං ප්‍රාර්ථයාඤ්චක්‍රේ, හේ මත්තාත, න පීතේ යදි කංසමිදං මත්තෝ දූරං යාතුං න ශක්නෝති, තර්හි ත්වදිච්ඡාවද් භවතු|
43 And coming again he found them sleeping; for their eyes were heavy.
ස පුනරේත්‍ය තාන් නිද්‍රතෝ දදර්ශ, යතස්තේෂාං නේත්‍රාණි නිද්‍රයා පූර්ණාන්‍යාසන්|
44 And leaving them, he went away again, and prayed the third time, saying again the same words.
පශ්චාත් ස තාන් විහාය ව්‍රජිත්වා තෘතීයවාරං පූර්ව්වවත් කථයන් ප්‍රාර්ථිතවාන්|
45 Then he cometh to the disciples, and saith to them, Sleep on, and take your rest! Lo! the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is delivered up into the hands of sinners.
තතඃ ශිෂ්‍යානුපාගත්‍ය ගදිතවාන්, සාම්ප්‍රතං ශයානාඃ කිං විශ්‍රාම්‍යථ? පශ්‍යත, සමය උපාස්ථාත්, මනුජසුතඃ පාපිනාං කරේෂු සමර්ප්‍යතේ|
46 Rise, let us be going; lo! he is at hand that delivereth me up.
උත්තිෂ්ඨත, වයං යාමඃ, යෝ මාං පරකරේෂු මසර්පයිෂ්‍යති, පශ්‍යත, ස සමීපමායාති|
47 And while he was yet speaking, lo! Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and elders of the people.
ඒතත්කථාකථනකාලේ ද්වාදශශිෂ්‍යාණාමේකෝ යිහූදානාමකෝ මුඛ්‍යයාජකලෝකප්‍රාචීනෛඃ ප්‍රහිතාන් අසිධාරියෂ්ටිධාරිණෝ මනුජාන් ගෘහීත්වා තත්සමීපමුපතස්ථෞ|
48 And his betrayer had given them a sign, saying, Whomever I shall kiss, he is the man; seize him.
අසෞ පරකරේෂ්වර්පයිතා පූර්ව්වං තාන් ඉත්ථං සඞ්කේතයාමාස, යමහං චුම්බිෂ්‍යේ, සෝ(අ)සෞ මනුජඃ, සඒව යුෂ්මාභි ර්ධාර‍්‍ය්‍යතාං|
49 And immediately going up to Jesus, he said, Hail, Rabbi! and kissed him.
තදා ස සපදි යීශුමුපාගත්‍ය හේ ගුරෝ, ප්‍රණමාමීත්‍යුක්ත්වා තං චුචුම්බේ|
50 And Jesus said to him, Friend, for what hast thou come! Then they came and laid hands on Jesus, and seized him.
තදා යීශුස්තමුවාච, හේ මිත්‍රං කිමර්ථමාගතෝසි? තදා තෛරාගත්‍ය යීශුරාක්‍රම්‍ය දඝ්‍රේ|
51 And, lo! one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck the servant of the high-priest, and cut off his ear.
තතෝ යීශෝඃ සඞ්ගිනාමේකඃ කරං ප්‍රසාර‍්‍ය්‍ය කෝෂාදසිං බහිෂ්කෘත්‍ය මහායාජකස්‍ය දාසමේකමාහත්‍ය තස්‍ය කර්ණං චිච්ඡේද|
52 Then Jesus saith to him, Put back thy sword into its place; for all they that take the sword will perish by the sword.
තතෝ යීශුස්තං ජගාද, ඛඩ්ගං ස්වස්ථානේ නිධේහි යතෝ යේ යේ ජනා අසිං ධාරයන්ති, තඒවාසිනා විනශ්‍යන්ති|
53 Dost thou think that I cannot pray to my Father, and he will now give me more than twelve legions of angels?
අපරං පිතා යථා මදන්තිකං ස්වර්ගීයදූතානාං ද්වාදශවාහිනීතෝ(අ)ධිකං ප්‍රහිණුයාත් මයා තමුද්දිශ්‍යේදානීමේව තථා ප්‍රාර්ථයිතුං න ශක්‍යතේ, ත්වයා කිමිත්ථං ඥායතේ?
54 But how then shall the Scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
තථා සතීත්ථං ඝටිෂ්‍යතේ ධර්ම්මපුස්තකස්‍ය යදිදං වාක්‍යං තත් කථං සිධ්‍යේත්?
55 In that hour Jesus said to the multitudes, Ye have come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to take me; I sat daily teaching in the temple, and ye did not lay hands on me.
තදානීං යීශු ර්ජනනිවහං ජගාද, යූයං ඛඩ්ගයෂ්ටීන් ආදාය මාං කිං චෞරං ධර්ත්තුමායාතාඃ? අහං ප්‍රත්‍යහං යුෂ්මාභිඃ සාකමුපවිශ්‍ය සමුපාදිශං, තදා මාං නාධරත;
56 But all this hath been done, that the Scriptures of the prophets may be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.
කින්තු භවිෂ්‍යද්වාදිනාං වාක්‍යානාං සංසිද්ධයේ සර්ව්වමේතදභූත්| තදා සර්ව්වේ ශිෂ්‍යාස්තං විහාය පලායන්ත|
57 And they who seized Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high-priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.
අනන්තරං තේ මනුජා යීශුං ධෘත්වා යත්‍රාධ්‍යාපකප්‍රාඤ්චඃ පරිෂදං කුර්ව්වන්ත උපාවිශන් තත්‍ර කියඵානාමකමහායාජකස්‍යාන්තිකං නින්‍යුඃ|
58 But Peter followed him at a distance, as far as to the court of the high-priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the officers to see the end.
කින්තු ශේෂේ කිං භවිෂ්‍යතීති වේත්තුං පිතරෝ දූරේ තත්පශ්චාද් ව්‍රජිත්වා මහායාජකස්‍යාට්ටාලිකාං ප්‍රවිශ්‍ය දාසෛඃ සහිත උපාවිශත්|
59 And the chief priests and the whole council sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;
තදානීං ප්‍රධානයාජකප්‍රාචීනමන්ත්‍රිණඃ සර්ව්වේ යීශුං හන්තුං මෘෂාසාක්‍ෂ්‍යම් අලිප්සන්ත,
60 and they found none, though many false witnesses came forward. But at last came two,
කින්තු න ලේභිරේ| අනේකේෂු මෘෂාසාක්‍ෂිෂ්වාගතේෂ්වපි තන්න ප්‍රාපුඃ|
61 and said, This man affirmed, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it within three days.
ශේෂේ ද්වෞ මෘෂාසාක්‍ෂිණාවාගත්‍ය ජගදතුඃ, පුමානයමකථයත්, අහමීශ්වරමන්දිරං භංක්ත්වා දිනත්‍රයමධ්‍යේ තන්නිර්ම්මාතුං ශක්නෝමි|
62 And the high-priest arose, and said to him, Dost thou make no answer to what these men testify against thee?
තදා මහායාජක උත්ථාය යීශුම් අවාදීත්| ත්වං කිමපි න ප්‍රතිවදසි? ත්වාමධි කිමේතේ සාක්‍ෂ්‍යං වදන්ති?
63 But Jesus was silent. And the high-priest answering said to him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou art the Christ, the Son of God.
කින්තු යීශු ර්මෞනීභූය තස්‍යෞ| තතෝ මහායාජක උක්තවාන්, ත්වාම් අමරේශ්වරනාම්නා ශපයාමි, ත්වමීශ්වරස්‍ය පුත්‍රෝ(අ)භිෂික්තෝ භවසි නවේති වද|
64 Jesus saith to him, I am. Moreover I say to you, Henceforth ye will see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.
යීශුඃ ප්‍රත්‍යවදත්, ත්වං සත්‍යමුක්තවාන්; අහං යුෂ්මාන් තථ්‍යං වදාමි, ඉතඃපරං මනුජසුතං සර්ව්වශක්තිමතෝ දක්‍ෂිණපාර්ශ්වේ ස්ථාතුං ගගණස්ථං ජලධරානාරුහ්‍යායාන්තං වීක්‍ෂධ්වේ|
65 Then the high-priest rent his garments, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? See! ye have now heard the blasphemy.
තදා මහායාජකෝ නිජවසනං ඡිත්ත්වා ජගාද, ඒෂ ඊශ්වරං නින්දිතවාන්, අස්මාකමපරසාක්‍ෂ්‍යේණ කිං ප්‍රයෝජනං? පශ්‍යත, යූයමේවාස්‍යාස්‍යාද් ඊශ්වරනින්දාං ශ්‍රුතවන්තඃ,
66 What think ye? They answered and said, He should be punished with death.
යුෂ්මාභිඃ කිං විවිච්‍යතේ? තේ ප්‍රත්‍යූචුඃ, වධාර්හෝ(අ)යං|
67 Then they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and some smote him with the palms of their hands,
තතෝ ලෝකෛස්තදාස්‍යේ නිෂ්ඨීවිතං කේචිත් ප්‍රතලමාහත්‍ය කේචිච්ච චපේටමාහත්‍ය බභාෂිරේ,
68 saying, Prophesy to us, O Messiah! who it was that struck thee.
හේ ඛ්‍රීෂ්ට ත්වාං කශ්චපේටමාහතවාන්? ඉති ගණයිත්වා වදාස්මාන්|
69 Now Peter was sitting outside in the court. And a maid-servant came to him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus the Galilaean.
පිතරෝ බහිරඞ්ගන උපවිශති, තදානීමේකා දාසී තමුපාගත්‍ය බභාෂේ, ත්වං ගාලීලීයයීශෝඃ සහචරඒකඃ|
70 But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.
කින්තු ස සර්ව්වේෂාං සමක්‍ෂම් අනඞ්ගීකෘත්‍යාවාදීත්, ත්වයා යදුච්‍යතේ, තදර්ථමහං න වේද්මි|
71 And when he had gone out into the porch, another woman saw him, and said to those who were there, This man was with Jesus the Nazarene.
තදා තස්මින් බහිර්ද්වාරං ගතේ (අ)න්‍යා දාසී තං නිරීක්‍ෂ්‍ය තත්‍රත්‍යජනානවදත්, අයමපි නාසරතීයයීශුනා සාර්ද්ධම් ආසීත්|
72 And again he denied with an oath; I do not know the man.
තතඃ ස ශපථේන පුනරනඞ්ගීකෘත්‍ය කථිතවාන්, තං නරං න පරිචිනෝමි|
73 And shortly after, they who were standing by came and said to Peter, Surely thou too art one of them; for thy speech betrayeth thee.
ක්‍ෂණාත් පරං තිෂ්ඨන්තෝ ජනා ඒත්‍ය පිතරම් අවදන්, ත්වමවශ්‍යං තේෂාමේක ඉති ත්වදුච්චාරණමේව ද්‍යෝතයති|
74 Then he began to curse and to swear, saying, I do not know the man. And immediately a cock crew.
කින්තු සෝ(අ)භිශප්‍ය කථිතවාන්, තං ජනං නාහං පරිචිනෝමි, තදා සපදි කුක්කුටෝ රුරාව|
75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, who had said, Before a cock crows, thou wilt thrice deny me. And he went out, and wept bitterly.
කුක්කුටරවාත් ප්‍රාක් ත්වං මාං ත්‍රිරපාහ්නෝෂ්‍යසේ, යෛෂා වාග් යීශුනාවාදි තාං පිතරඃ සංස්මෘත්‍ය බහිරිත්වා ඛේදාද් භෘශං චක්‍රන්ද|
