Matthew 22
1 Jesus answered and spoke to them again in parables, and said,
耶稣又讲述了一个比喻：
2 The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king, who made a marriage-feast for his son,
“天国好比一个王，为儿子摆设婚筵。
3 and sent forth his servants to call to the feast those who had been invited; and they would not come.
他派仆人去请受邀之人来参加婚筵。但他们不肯来。
4 Again, he sent other servants, saying, Tell those who have been invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready; come to the feast.
他再派另一些仆人去，对他们说：‘告诉那些受邀之人，我已经预备好了筵席，宰杀了公牛和肥畜，一切都预备妥当。来参加婚筵吧！’
5 But they made light of it, and went away; one to his farm, another to his merchandise.
但那些人却不理会这番邀请，掉头走开，有的去耕田，有的去做买卖，
6 And the rest seized his servants, and ill-treated and slew them.
还有些人抓住王的仆人，凌辱他们，把他们杀了。
7 And the king was enraged; and sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.
王怒火中烧，派兵消灭那些凶手，焚毁他们的城。
8 Then saith he to his servants, The feast is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.
然后对仆人说：‘婚筵已经预备好了，只是受邀之人不配来此。
9 Go therefore into the thoroughfares, and as many as ye find, invite to the feast.
你们去大路口站着，邀请所有遇见之人来参加婚筵。’
10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all, as many as they found, both bad and good; and the bride-chamber was fully furnished with guests.
那些仆人走到街上，把所有遇见之人，无论好坏，都招聚而来，很快婚筵就满座了。
11 And the king, coming in to view the guests, saw there a man who had not on a wedding garment;
王进来与赴筵之人见面，发现一人没有穿着婚筵的礼服，
12 and he saith to him, Friend, how camest thou in here, not having a wedding garment? And he was struck dumb.
于是王就对他说：‘朋友，你没有婚筵礼服，怎能进入这里？’那人无话可说。
13 Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and cast him out into the outer darkness; there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
于是王对侍从说：‘把他的手脚都绑起来，丢到黑暗中，在那里必有哀哭切齿。’
14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
因为受邀人很多，但很少是他选择之人。”
15 Then the Pharisees went and consulted together how l they might ensnare him in speech.
法利赛人离开了，聚在一起商量，怎样通过耶稣所说的话来陷害他。
16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, and thou carest for no one; for thou regardest not the person of men.
他们派了自己的门徒和希律党的门徒一同去问耶稣：“老师，我们知道你为人诚实，你所传授上帝之道皆为真理。你不允许任何人影响你，不在乎头衔或地位。
17 Tell us, therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
那么请说说你的看法：纳税给凯撒，可不可以？”
18 But Jesus, perceiving their wickedness, said, Why are ye trying me, hypocrites?
耶稣看出他们的恶意，就说：“虚伪的人，为什么试探我？
19 Show me the tribute money. And they brought to him a denary.
把纳税的钱币给我看看。”他们拿了一个银币递给耶稣。
20 And Jesus saith to them, Whose is this image and inscription?
耶稣问他们：“这上面是谁的头像，谁的名号？”
21 They say, Caesar's. Then saith he to them, Render then to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.
他们回答：“这是凯撒。” 他就对他们说：“凯撒的就应当归于凯撒，上帝的就应当归于上帝。”
22 And hearing this, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
这话让他们分外震惊，于是就离开他走了。
23 The same day there came to him Sadducees, saying that there is no resurrection; and they asked him,
撒都该人从来不相信复活。那天晚些时候，他们前来问耶稣：
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, “If a man die having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed to his brother.”
“老师，摩西说如果一个已婚男人死了，没有儿女，他的弟弟就应该娶他的妻子，为哥哥留后。
25 Now there were with us seven brothers; and the first married and died; and, having no offspring, left his wife to his brother.
以前我们这里有兄弟七人，老大结了婚，没有孩子就死了，留下妻子给他的弟弟。嫁给老二后，老二死了，嫁给老三，老三死了，
26 And so also the second, and the third, even to the seventh.
直到最后同样的事情又发生在老七身上。
27 And last of all the woman died.
最后那女人也死了。
28 In the resurrection, then, of which of the seven will she be the wife? For they all had her.
那么复活的时候，她会是这七兄弟中哪人的妻子呢？因为他们都娶过她。”
29 Jesus answered and said to them, Ye err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.
耶稣回答：“你们错在不明白圣经，也不知道上帝的能力。
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
复活之后，人们不娶也不嫁，就像天堂的天使一样。
31 But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,
关于逝者复活之事，难道你们没读过上帝所说：
32 “I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob”? He is not a God of the dead, but of the living.
‘我是亚伯拉罕的上帝，以撒的上帝，雅各的上帝’，上帝并非死人之上帝，而是活人之上帝。”
33 And when the multitudes heard this, they were astonished at his teaching.
民众听了他所说的，对其教义感到很惊异。
34 And the Pharisees, hearing that he had put the Sadducees to silence, assembled together;
听说耶稣让撒都该人无言以对，一群法利赛人便跑来提出更多问题。
35 and one of them, a lawyer, asked, trying him,
其中有一个研究法律的专家，试探耶稣说：
36 Teacher, which commandment is great in the Law?
“老师，律法中哪一条诫命最重要？”
37 And he said to him, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”
耶稣回答：“‘你要全心、全性、全意爱你的主，你的上帝。’
38 This is the great and first commandment.
这是最重要的受要诫命。
39 There is a second like it: “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”
第二条与它相似，那就是：‘要爱人如己。’
40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.
全部律法和先知之书，均以这两条诫命为根据。”
41 And while the Pharisees were assembled, Jesus asked them,
法利赛人聚在一起之时，耶稣问他们：
42 saying, What think ye concerning the Christ? whose son is he? They say to him, David's.
“你们对基督的看法如何？他是谁的子孙？”他们回答：“大卫的子孙。”
43 He saith to them, How then doth David in the Spirit call him lord? saying,
耶稣又问：“但受到感召后的大卫为何称他为主？他说
44 “The Lord said to my lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I put thine enemies under thy feet.”
‘主对我主说：你坐在我的右边，待我击败你所有敌人。’
45 If David then calleth him lord, how is he his son?
大卫既然称他为主，他怎么又是大卫的子孙呢？”
46 And no one was able to answer him a word; nor durst any one from that day question him any more.
无人能够回答。此后再也没有人敢向他提问。
