< Matthew 17 >
1 And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John his brother, and leadeth them up into a high mountain apart.
Gakapiteje mobha shita, a Yeshu gubhaatolilenje a Petili na a Yakobho na a Yowana apwabho, gubhajombokenje ku shitumbi shashileu.
2 And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone as the sun; and his garments became white as the light.
Kweneko, a Yeshu gubhapindikwishe lubhombo pa meyo gabhonji, kumeyo kwabho kwashinkung'anyima malinga lyubha na nngubho yabho puyaliji yanawe malinga shilangaya.
3 And lo! there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with him.
A Musha na a Eliya gubhaakoposhelenje, gubhalinginji nkubheleketa na a Yeshu.
4 And Peter answering said to Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here; if thou wilt, I will make here three tents; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.
Penepo a Petili gubhaalugulile a Yeshu, “Mmakulungwa, shankonja uwe kubha apano! Mpingaga shinjenje mabhanda gatatu, limo lyenu na lina lya a Musha na lina lya a Eliya.”
5 While he was yet speaking, lo! a bright cloud overshadowed them; and lo! a voice out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; hear him.”
Pubhaliji nkubheleketa nneyo, liunde lya nawe likwaaunishilangaga, lilobhe gulipilkanishe koposhela nniundemo, “Jweneju ni mwanangu jungumpinga, anonyela, mumpilikanilanje.”
6 And the disciples hearing it, fell on their face, and were exceedingly afraid.
Bhaajiganywa bhakapilikananjeje nneyo gubhagwilenje namanguku, gubhajogopenje kaje.
7 And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.
A Yeshu gubhaajendelenje, nikwaakwayanga, gubhashite, “Nnjimangane, nnajogopanje!”
8 And lifting up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.
Bhakalolanjeje kunani bhangammonanga mundu juna, ikabhe a Yeshu jikape.
9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell what hath been seen to no one, until the Son of man hath risen from the dead.
Bhai, pubhalinginji bhalielelanga kopoka kushitumbi, a Yeshu gubhaalimbiyenje bhalinkuti, “Nnannugulilanje mundu indu imwiibhweninji, mpaka Mwana juka Mundu pashayuywe.”
10 And the disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elijah must first come?
Kungai bhaajiganywa bhabho gubhaabhushiyenje, “Pakuti bhaajiganya bha Shalia bhakutinji inapinjikwa bhatandubhe kuika a Eliya?”
11 And he answering said, Elijah indeed cometh, and will restore all things.
A Yeshu gubhaajangwilenje, “Kweli, a Eliya shibhaishe kualaya indu yowe.
12 But I say to you, that Elijah hath already come, and they knew him not, but did with him whatever they would. So also is the Son of man to suffer by them.
Ikabheje ngunakummalanjilanga, a Eliya bhaaishe bhanganyabho bhangaamanyanga, ikabhe bhashinkwaatendelanga mwaapinjilenje. Nneyo peyo mwana juka Mundu apinga potekwa mmakono gabhonji.”
13 Then the disciples understood that he spoke to them of John the Baptist.
Penepo bhaajiganywa bhala gubhamumanyinji kuti bhatendaga kwaabhalanjilanga ga a Yowana Bhabhatisha.
14 And when they had come to the multitude, there came to him a man, kneeling down to him, and saying,
Bhakaikangananjeje ku bhandu bhagumbelenje bhala, bhandu bhamo gubhaajendele a Yeshu, nikwaatindibhalila,
15 Lord, have compassion on my son; for he is a lunatic, and is sorely afflicted; for he often falleth into the fire, and often into the water.
gubhashite, “Mmakulungwa, mummonele shiya mwanangu ashikola shialala, numbe analaga kaje, papagwinji anagwila pa moto eu mmashi.
16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
Nashinkumpeleka kubhaajiganywa bhenu ikabheje bhangakombolanga kunshoya.”
17 Then Jesus answering said, Unbelieving and perverse generation! How long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him hither to me.
A Yeshu gubhajangwile, “Alu lubheleko lwangali ngulupai na lwa puganika! Shindame na mmanganya mpaka shakani? Shinikakatimile na mmanganya mpaka shakani? Munnjiyenajonji akuno mwanajo,”
18 And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon went out of him; and the boy was cured from that hour.
Bhai, a Yeshu gubhankalipile liokajo, nigwanshoshile mwana jula, gwalamile malanga gala.
19 Then the disciples came to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast it out?
Kungai bhaajiganywa gubhaajendelenje a Yeshu shintemela, gubhaabhushiyenje, “Pakuti uwe twangakombola kunshoya lioka jula?”
20 And he said to them, Because of your want of faith. For truly do I say to you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard, ye shall say to this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it will remove; and nothing will be impossible to you.
A Yeshu gubhaajangwilenje, “Kwa ligongo lya ungakulupalila gwenunji. Kweli ngunakummalanjilanga, ibhaga shinkolanje ngulupai, nkali jajishoko malinga mbeju ja aladali, shinkombolanje kushilugulila nkali ashi shitumbishi, ‘Shokapa ujende akula,’ shishijende. Shakwa shoshowe shikaakomboleka kungwenunji.”
Ikabheje lioka jwa nnei akashoka ila kwa tabha na juga.
22 And while they were together in Galilee, Jesus said to them, The Son of man is about to be delivered up into the hands of men,
Pubhalinginji pamo ku Galilaya, a Yeshu gubhaalugulilenje, “Mwana juka Mundu apinga kamuywa ku bhandunji.
23 and they will put him to death; and on the third day he will rise again. And they were greatly grieved.
Bhapinga kummulaganga, ikabheje lyubha lya tatu shayuywe.” Bhaajiganywa gubhainjikenje kaje.
24 And when they had come to Capernaum, those who received the half-shekel came to Peter, and said, Doth not your teacher pay the half-shekel?
A Yeshu na bhaajiganywa bhabho bhakaikanganeje ku Kapalanaumu, bhakamula koli ja liekalu bhala gubhaajendelenje a Petili, gubhaabhushiyenje, “Bhuli, bhaajiganya bhenunji bhalilipa koli ja Liekalu?”
25 He saith, Yes. And when he had come into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? Of whom do the kings of the earth take customs or taxes? Of their own sons, or of strangers?
A Petili gubhajangwile, “Elo, bhalilipa.” Bhai a Petili bhakajinjileje nnyumba, bhakanabhe bheleketa lilobhe, a Yeshu gubhaabhushiye, “A Shimoni, mmwe nkubhona bhuli? Ashimpalume bha shilambolyo bhanalonganga koli kwa ashigani? Kwa ashaayene shilambo eu ku bhajeninji?”
26 And when he said, Of strangers, Jesus said to him, Then are the sons free.
A Petili gubhajangwile, “Kopoka ku bhajeninji.” A Yeshu gubhaalugulile, “Bhai monaga nneyo, bhashilambo bhakaalipanga koli.
27 But that we may not give them offence, go to the lake, and cast a hook, and take the fish that first cometh up; and on opening his mouth, thou wilt find a shekel; take that, and give it to them for me and thee.
Ikabheje tunaatumbayanje, nnjende kulitanda nkatambishe ndowana, shamaki shatandubhe tanjilajo muntole, munng'unukule kang'wa, nkatimo shimwiimane mmbiya ya koli. Ntole nkaapanganje pangunne na mmayene.”
