Matthew 10
1 And he called to him his twelve disciples, and gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every sickness and every disease.
੧ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਲ ਬੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਆਤਮਾਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਢਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਮਾਂਦਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ।
2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
੨ਬਾਰਾਂ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਹਨ, ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਤਰਸ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਅੰਦ੍ਰਿਯਾਸ, ਜ਼ਬਦੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ,
3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus;
੩ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ, ਬਰਥੁਲਮਈ, ਥੋਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੱਤੀ ਚੂੰਗੀ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਹਲਫ਼ਈ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਅਤੇ ਥੱਦਈ,
4 Simon of Cana, and Judas Iscariot, he who betrayed him.
੪ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਕਨਾਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾ ਇਸਕਰਿਯੋਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਫੜਵਾ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, when he had charged them, saying, Go not away to gentiles, and enter not any city of the Samaritans;
੫ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ: “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਨਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਵੜਨਾ”।
6 but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
੬ਸਗੋਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੁਆਚੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਓ।
7 And, as ye go, proclaim, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
੭ਅਤੇ ਜਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਇਹ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਖੋ, ਕਿ ਸਵਰਗ ਰਾਜ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ।
8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons; freely ye received, freely give.
੮ਰੋਗੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਕਰੋ, ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਕਰੋ, ਕੋੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਕਰੋ, ਭੂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਢੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਹੀ ਦਿਓ।
9 Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass, in your girdles;
੯ਸੋਨਾ, ਚਾਂਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਂਬਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਮਰ ਕੱਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਲਓ।
10 nor bag for the journey, nor two coats, nor sandals, nor a staff. For the laborer is worthy of his living.
੧੦ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਰਾਹ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਝੋਲਾ ਨਾ ਦੋ ਕੁੜਤੇ ਨਾ ਜੁੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਲਾਠੀ ਲਓ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਦਾ ਹੱਕਦਾਰ ਹੈ।
11 And into whatever city or town ye enter, inquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye leave the place.
੧੧ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਗਰ ਜਾਂ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੜੋ ਪੁੱਛੋ ਕਿ ਇੱਥੇ ਕੌਣ ਯੋਗ ਹੈ, ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਚਿਰ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਨਾ ਤੁਰੋ, ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਠਹਿਰੇ ਰਹੋ ।
12 And as ye enter the house, salute it.
੧੨ਅਤੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੜਦਿਆਂ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਸੁੱਖ ਮੰਗੋ।
13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it; but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
੧੩ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਘਰ ਯੋਗ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੇ, ਪਰ ਜੇ ਯੋਗ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਆਵੇ।
14 And whoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye go out of that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.
੧੪ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ ਨਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣੇ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਘਰ ਜਾਂ ਨਗਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਝਾੜ ਸੁੱਟੋ।
15 Truly do I say to you, It will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.
੧੫ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਨਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਉਸ ਨਗਰ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਸਦੂਮ ਅਤੇ ਅਮੂਰਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਦਾ ਹਾਲ ਝੱਲਣ ਯੋਗ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
16 Lo! I send you forth as sheep into the midst of wolves. Be therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
੧੬ਵੇਖੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਬਘਿਆੜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਪਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਬੂਤਰਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਭੋਲੇ ਹੋਵੋ।
17 But beware of men. For they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;
੧੭ਪਰ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਚੌਕਸ ਰਹੋ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਦਾਲਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕੋਰੜੇ ਮਾਰਨਗੇ।
18 and ye will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, that ye may bear testimony to them and to the gentiles.
੧੮ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਹਾਕਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਓਗੇ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਹੋਵੇ।
19 But when they deliver you up, be not anxious as to how or What ye shall speak; for it will be given you in that hour what ye shall speak.
੧੯ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਫੜਵਾਉਣ ਤਾਂ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਜਾਂ ਕੀ ਬੋਲੀਏ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਗੱਲ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬੋਲਣੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father that speaketh in you.
੨੦ਬੋਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਹੀਂ, ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
21 And brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child; and children will rise up against their parent, and put them to death;
੨੧ਅਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਲਈ ਫੜਵਾਏਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਉੱਠ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਰਵਾ ਸੁੱਟਣਗੇ।
22 and ye will be hated by all on account of my name. But he that endureth to the end will be saved.
੨੨ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਭ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰ ਰੱਖਣਗੇ, ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਅੰਤ ਤੱਕ ਸਹੇਗਾ ਉਹੀ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
23 And when they persecute you in one city, flee to another. For truly do I say to you, Ye will not have gone over the cities of Israel till the Son of man hath come.
੨੩ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਤਾਉਣ ਫਿਰ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਭੱਜ ਜਾਓ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨਗਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਫਿਰ ਲਵੋ, ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆ ਜਾਵੇ।
24 A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his lord.
੨੪ਚੇਲਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਨਾ ਨੌਕਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨਾਲੋਂ।
25 It is enough for the disciple to be as his teacher, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they so call those of his household!
੨੫ਇਹ ਹੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਚੇਲਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਕਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ (ਮੂਲ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਲਜਬੂਲ) ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਕਿੰਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣਗੇ।
26 Fear them not therefore. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed; and hid, that will not be known.
੨੬ਸੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਨਾ ਡਰੋ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਚੀਜ਼ ਲੁਕੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਨਾ ਕੁਝ ਗੁਪਤ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
27 What I say to you in darkness, speak ye in the light; and what ye hear in the ear, proclaim ye upon the housetops.
੨੭ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹਨ੍ਹੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਨਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖੋ, ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਕੋਠਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰੋ।
28 And fear not those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Geenna g1067)
੨੮ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਨਾ ਡਰੋ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਾਰ ਸਕਦੇ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਡਰੋ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। (Geenna g1067)
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? and not one of them shall fall to the ground without your Father.
੨੯ਕੀ, ਇੱਕ ਪੈਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਚਿੜੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਕਦੀਆਂ? ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਡਿੱਗਦੀ।
30 But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.
੩੦ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਿਰ ਦੇ ਵਾਲ਼ ਵੀ ਗਿਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
31 Fear not therefore; ye are of more value than many sparrows.
੩੧ਇਸ ਲਈ ਨਾ ਡਰੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚਿੜੀਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਉੱਤਮ ਹੋ।
32 Every one therefore who shall acknowledge me before men, him will I also acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven.
੩੨ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
33 But whoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven.
੩੩ਪਰ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦਾ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
34 Think not that I came to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
੩੪ਇਹ ਨਾ ਸਮਝੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੇਲ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਮੇਲ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ।
35 For I came to set a man at variance with his father, and a daughter with her mother, and a bride with her mother-in-law;
੩੫ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਤੋਂ, ਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਨੂੰਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਸੱਸ ਤੋਂ ਅਲੱਗ ਕਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ।
36 and they of a man's own household will be his foes.
੩੬ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੀ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me, is not worthy of me;
੩੭ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਪਿਤਾ ਜਾਂ ਮਾਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ।
38 and he that doth not take his cross, and follow me, is not worthy of me.
੩੮ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਲੀਬ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਗਰ ਨਾ ਚੱਲੇ, ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ।
39 He that findeth his life will lose it; and he that loseth his life for my sake will find it.
੩੯ਜਿਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਲੱਭ ਲਈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਆਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਗੁਆਈ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲਵੇਗਾ।
40 He that receiveth you, receiveth me; and he that receiveth me, receiveth him that sent me.
੪੦ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰੇ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰੇ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਭੇਜਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
41 He that receiveth a prophet because he is a prophet, will receive a prophet's reward, and he that receiveth a righteous man because he is a righteous man, will receive a righteous man's reward.
੪੧ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਬੀ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰੇ, ਉਹ ਨਬੀ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਮੀ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰੇ ਉਹ ਧਰਮੀ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਪਾਵੇਗਾ।
42 And whoever shall give to drink only a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is a disciple, truly do I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.
