Mark 1
1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ;
Tanrı'nın Oğlu İsa Mesih'le ilgili Müjde'nin başlangıcı.
2 as it is written in Isaiah the prophet: “Lo! I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way;”

3 “The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths!”

4 John the Baptizer appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
Böylece Vaftizci Yahya çölde ortaya çıktı. İnsanları, günahlarının bağışlanması için tövbe edip vaftiz olmaya çağırıyordu.
5 And there went out to him all the country of Judaea, and all they of Jerusalem and were baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.
Bütün Yahudiye halkı ve Yeruşalimliler'in hepsi ona geliyor, günahlarını itiraf ediyor, onun tarafından Şeria Irmağı'nda vaftiz ediliyordu.
6 And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a leathern girdle about his loins, and he ate locusts and wild honey.
Yahya'nın deve tüyünden giysisi, belinde deri kuşağı vardı. Çekirge ve yaban balı yerdi.
7 And he preached, saying, There cometh after me one mightier than I, the latchet of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and loose.
Şu haberi yayıyordu: “Benden sonra benden daha güçlü olan geliyor. Eğilip O'nun çarıklarının bağını çözmeye bile layık değilim.
8 I have baptized you with water; but he will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.
Ben sizi suyla vaftiz ettim, ama O sizi Kutsal Ruh'la vaftiz edecektir.”
9 And it came to pass that in those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
O günlerde Celile'nin Nasıra Kenti'nden çıkıp gelen İsa, Yahya tarafından Şeria Irmağı'nda vaftiz edildi.
10 And immediately on coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens parted, and the Spirit descending as a dove upon him.
Tam sudan çıkarken, göklerin yarıldığını ve Ruh'un güvercin gibi üzerine indiğini gördü.
11 And there was a voice from the heavens, “Thou art my beloved Son; with thee I am well pleased.”
Göklerden, “Sen benim sevgili Oğlum'sun, senden hoşnudum” diyen bir ses duyuldu.
12 And immediately the Spirit driveth him forth into the wilderness.
O an Ruh, İsa'yı çöle gönderdi.
13 And he was in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to him.
İsa çölde kaldığı kırk gün boyunca Şeytan tarafından denendi. Yabanıl hayvanlar arasındaydı, melekler O'na hizmet ediyordu.
14 But after John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the glad tidings of God,
Yahya'nın tutuklanmasından sonra İsa, Tanrı'nın Müjdesi'ni duyura duyura Celile'ye gitti.
15 [[saying, ]] The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe the glad tidings.

16 And as he was passing along by the lake of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon dragging a net in the lake; for they were fishers.
İsa, Celile Gölü'nün kıyısından geçerken, göle ağ atmakta olan Simun ile kardeşi Andreas'ı gördü. Bu adamlar balıkçıydı.
17 And Jesus said to them, Come after me, and I will cause you to become fishers of men.
İsa onlara, “Ardımdan gelin” dedi, “Sizleri insan tutan balıkçılar yapacağım.”
18 And immediately they left their nets, and followed him.
Onlar da hemen ağlarını bırakıp O'nun ardından gittiler.
19 And going on a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending the nets;
İsa biraz ileri gidince Zebedi'nin oğulları Yakup'la Yuhanna'yı gördü. Teknede ağlarını onarıyorlardı.
20 and immediately he called them. And leaving their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men, they went after him.
Hemen onları çağırdı. Onlar da babaları Zebedi'yi işçilerle birlikte teknede bırakıp İsa'nın ardından gittiler.
21 And they enter Capernaum; and immediately on the sabbath he was teaching in the synagogue.
Kefarnahum'a girdiler. Şabat Günü İsa havraya gidip öğretmeye başladı.
22 And they were astonished at his teaching; for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes.
Halk O'nun öğretişine şaşıp kaldı. Çünkü onlara din bilginleri gibi değil, yetkili biri gibi öğretiyordu.
23 And immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,
Tam o sırada havrada bulunan ve kötü ruha tutulmuş bir adam, “Ey Nasıralı İsa, bizden ne istiyorsun?” diye bağırdı. “Bizi mahvetmeye mi geldin? Senin kim olduğunu biliyorum, Tanrı'nın Kutsalı'sın sen!”
24 saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus of Nazareth? Thou hast come to destroy us; we know who thou art, the Holy One of God.
25 And Jesus rebuked him, [[saying, ]] Be silent, and come out of him.
İsa, “Sus, çık adamdan!” diyerek kötü ruhu azarladı.
26 And the unclean spirit convulsing him, and crying out with a loud voice, came out of him.
Kötü ruh adamı sarstı ve büyük bir çığlık atarak içinden çıktı.
27 And they were all amazed, so that they questioned each other, saying, What is this? New teaching with authority; even the unclean spirits doth he command, and they obey him!
Herkes şaşıp kaldı. Birbirlerine, “Bu nasıl şey?” diye sormaya başladılar. “Yepyeni bir öğreti! Kötü ruhlara bile yetkiyle buyruk veriyor, onlar da sözünü dinliyor.”
28 And immediately his fame spread abroad everywhere through the whole surrounding country of Galilee.
Böylece İsa'yla ilgili haber, Celile bölgesinin her yerine hızla yayıldı.
29 And having come out of the synagogue, they immediately entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
İsa havradan çıkar çıkmaz, Yakup ve Yuhanna ile birlikte Simun ve Andreas'ın evine gitti.
30 And Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever; and they immediately speak to him about her.
Simun'un kaynanası ateşler içinde yatıyordu. Durumu hemen İsa'ya bildirdiler.
31 And he went to her, and took her by the hand, and raised her up; and the fever left her, and she waited on them.
O da hastaya yaklaştı, elinden tutup kaldırdı. Kadının ateşi düştü, onlara hizmet etmeye başladı.
32 And in the evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all that were sick, and those who were possessed by demons;
Akşam olup güneş batınca, bütün hastaları ve cinlileri İsa'ya getirdiler.
33 and the whole city was assembled at the door.
Bütün kent halkı kapıya toplanmıştı.
34 And he healed many that were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and he suffered not the demons to speak, because they knew him.
İsa, çeşitli hastalıklara yakalanmış birçok kişiyi iyileştirdi, birçok cini kovdu. Cinlerin konuşmasına izin vermiyordu. Çünkü onlar kendisinin kim olduğunu biliyorlardı.
35 And rising early, long before day, he went out, and withdrew into a desert place, and there prayed.
Sabah çok erkenden, ortalık henüz ağarmadan İsa kalktı, evden çıkıp ıssız bir yere gitti, orada dua etmeye başladı.
36 And Simon and those with him went in search of him,
Simun ile yanındakiler İsa'yı aramaya çıktılar.
37 and found him. And they say to him, All people are in search of thee.
O'nu bulunca, “Herkes seni arıyor!” dediler.
38 And he saith to them, Let us go elsewhere into the neighboring towns, that I may preach there also; for, for this I came forth.
İsa onlara, “Başka yerlere, yakın kasabalara gidelim” dedi. “Oralarda da Tanrı sözünü duyurayım. Bunun için çıkıp geldim.”
39 And he went, preaching in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and casting out the demons.
Böylece havralarında Tanrı sözünü duyurarak ve cinleri kovarak bütün Celile bölgesini dolaştı.
40 And there cometh a leper to him beseeching him, and kneeling down, saying to him, If thou wilt, thou canst cleanse me.
İsa'ya cüzamlı biri geldi, diz çökerek, “İstersen beni temiz kılabilirsin” diye yalvardı.
41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith, I will; be thou cleansed.
İsa'nın yüreği sızladı, elini uzatıp adama dokundu, “İsterim, temiz ol!” dedi.
42 And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.
Adam anında cüzamdan kurtulup tertemiz oldu.
43 And sternly charging him, he immediately sent him away,
İsa onu sıkıca uyararak hemen yanından uzaklaştırdı.
44 saying to him, See that thou say nothing to any one; but go, show thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing what Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.
“Sakın kimseye bir şey söyleme!” dedi. “Git, kâhine görün ve cüzamdan temizlendiğini herkese kanıtlamak için Musa'nın buyurduğu sunuları sun.”
45 But he went away, and began to publish it constantly, and to spread the matter abroad, so that Jesus could no more enter a city openly, but was without in desert places; and they came to him from every quarter.
Ne var ki, adam çıkıp gitti, olayla ilgili haberi her tarafa yayıp duyurmaya başladı. Öyle ki, İsa artık hiçbir kente açıkça giremez oldu. Ancak dışarıda, ıssız yerlerde kalıyordu. Ve halk her yerden O'na akın ediyordu.
