Mark 9
1 And he said to them, Truly do I say to you, There are some of those standing here who will not taste of death, till they have seen that the kingdom of God hath come with power.
Und er sprach zu ihnen: Wahrlich, ich sage euch, es sind etliche der hier Stehenden, die den Tod nicht schmecken werden, bis sie sehen die Gottesherrschaft gekommen in Kraft. -
2 And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter and James and John, and leadeth them up into a high mountain apart by themselves; and he was transfigured before them.
Und nach sechs Tagen nimmt Jesus mit sich Petrus und Jakobus und Johannes, und führt sie auf einen hohen Berg, besonders allein, und er ward vor ihnen verwandelt.
3 And his garments became glistening, very white, so as no fuller on earth can whiten.
Und seine Kleider wurden glänzend und sehr weiß, wie der Schnee, daß kein Bleicher auf Erden sie so weiß machen kann.
4 And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses; and they were talking with Jesus.
Und es erschien ihnen Elias, mit Mose, und sie beredeten sich mit Jesus.
5 And Peter answering saith to Jesus, Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tents, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.
Und Petrus antwortete, und spricht zu Jesus: Rabbi, es ist gut, daß wir hier sind; und wir wollen drei Hütten machen; dir eine, und Moses eine, und Elias eine.
6 For he knew not what to answer; for they were struck with terror.
Denn er wußte nicht, was er redete, denn sie waren bestürzt.
7 And there came a cloud overshadowing them; and a voice came out of the cloud, This is my beloved Son; hear him.
Und es kam eine Wolke, die überschattete sie, und es kam eine Stimme aus der Wolke: Dieser ist mein geliebter Sohn; ihn höret!
8 And suddenly looking round, they no longer saw any one but Jesus alone with themselves.
Und auf einmal, da sie umherblickten, sahen sie niemand mehr, außer Jesus allein bei ihnen.
9 And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them to give no account of what they had seen to any one, till the Son of man should have risen from the dead.
Und als sie vom Berge herabstiegen, verbot er ihnen, daß sie niemand erzählen sollten, was sie gesehen, außer dann, wann der Menschensohn von den Toten auferstanden wäre.
10 And they kept these words in mind, questioning one another what rising from the dead might mean.
Und sie behielten das Wort bei sich, und befrugen sich untereinander: Was ist doch "das Auferstehen von den Toten?"
11 And they asked him, saying, How is it that the Pharisees and scribes say that Elijah must come first?
Und frugen ihn, und sprachen: Wie sagen doch die Schriftgelehrten, daß Elias zuvor kommen müsse?
12 And he said to them, Elijah cometh first, and restoreth all things. And how hath it been written of the Son of man? that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.
Er aber antwortete, und sprach zu ihnen: Elias kommt zuerst, und stellt alles wieder her; und wie steht geschrieben von dem Menschensohn? Daß er viel leiden und für nichts geachtet werden muß.
13 But I say to you that Elijah hath come, and they have done to him whatever they would; as it hath been written concerning him.
Aber ich sage euch: Elias ist auch gekommen, und sie haben ihm getan, was sie wollten, so wie von ihm geschrieben steht.
14 And coming to the disciples, they saw a great multitude about them, and scribes debating with them.
Und er kam zu seinen Jüngern, und sah viel Volk um sie, und die Schriftgelehrten, die sich mit ihnen stritten.
15 And immediately the whole multitude on seeing him was struck with awe, and running to him, saluted him.
Und alsbald, da alles Volk ihn sah, waren sie erstaunt, liefen hinzu, und grüßten ihn.
16 And he asked them, About what are ye debating with them?
Und er frug sie: Was streitet ihr mit ihnen?
17 And one of the multitude answered him, Teacher, I have brought to thee my son, who hath a dumb spirit.
Und es antwortete einer aus dem Volkshaufen: Lehrer, ich habe meinen Sohn zu dir gebracht, der einen sprachlosen Geist hat.
18 And wherever it seizeth hold of him, it throweth him down; and he foameth and gnasheth his teeth; and he pineth away. And I spoke to thy disciples to cast it out, and they were not able.
Und wo er ihn packt, reißt er ihn; und er schäumt, und knirscht die Zähne, und verdorret. Und ich habe deinen Jüngern gesagt, daß sie ihn austreiben, und sie vermochten´s nicht.
19 He answereth and saith to them, O unbelieving generation! How long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to me.
Er aber antwortete ihnen, und sagt: O ungläubiges Geschlecht! wie lange soll ich bei euch sein? wie lange soll ich euch ertragen? Bringet ihn zu mir!
20 And they brought him to him. And as soon as he saw him, the spirit convulsed him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed, foaming.
Und sie brachten ihn zu ihm. Und als er ihn sah, riß ihn der Geist alsbald, und er fiel auf die Erde, und wälzte sich, und schäumte.
21 And he asked his father, How long hath it been thus with him? And he said, From a child;
Und er frug seinem Vater: Wie lange Zeit ist es, daß ihm dies widerfahren ist? Er aber sprach: Von Kind auf.
22 and it hath often cast him both into fire, and into water, to destroy him; but if thou art able to do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
Und oftmals hat er ihn ins Feuer und ins Wasser geworfen, daß er ihn umbrächte. Kannst du aber etwas, so erbarme dich unser, und hilf uns.
23 Jesus said to him, If thou art able? All things are possible for him that believeth.
Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Das (ist die Frage), ob du glauben kannst? Alles ist möglich für den, der da glaubt.
24 The father of the child immediately cried out and said, I believe; help thou my unbelief.
Und alsbald schrie der Vater des Kindes mit Tränen, und sprach: Ich glaube, hilf meinem Unglauben!
25 And Jesus seeing that the multitude came running together, rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, Dumb and deaf spirit, I command thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
Da nun Jesus sah, daß das Volk zulief, bedrohte er den unsauberen Geist, und spricht zu ihm: Sprachloser und stummer Geist! ich gebiete dir, daß du ausfahrest von ihm, und nicht mehr in ihn fahrest!
26 And uttering a cry, and convulsing him much, it came out of him. And he became as one dead; so that very many said, He is dead.
Da schrie er, und riß ihn sehr, und fuhr aus, und er wurde wie tot, so daß viele sagten: er ist gestorben.
27 But Jesus, taking hold of his hand, raised him, and he stood up.
Jesus aber ergriff ihn bei der Hand, und richtete ihn auf, und er stund auf.
28 And when he had come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast it out?
Und da er heim kam, frugen ihn seine Jünger besonders: Warum konnten wir ihn nicht austreiben?
29 And he said to them, This kind can go out by nothing, except by prayer.
Und er sprach zu ihnen: Diese Art kann durch nichts sonst ausfahren, als durch Gebet.
30 And departing thence, they passed through Galilee; and he would not that any one should know it.
Und sie gingen von dannen hinweg, und zogen durch Galiläa, und er wollte nicht, daß es jemand wisse.
31 For he taught his disciples, and said to them, The Son of man is about to be delivered up into the hands of men, and they will put him to death; and when he hath been put to death, after three days he will rise again.
Denn er lehrte seine Jünger, und sprach zu ihnen: Der Menschensohn wird überliefert werden in die Hände der Menschen, und sie werden ihn töten, und wenn er getötet ist, wird er am dritten Tage auferstehen.
32 But they understood not what he said, and were afraid to ask him.
Sie aber verstanden die Rede nicht und fürchteten sich ihn zu fragen.
33 And they came to Capernaum; and having come into the house, he asked them, About what were ye disputing on the road?
Und er kam nach Kapernaum, und da sie zu Hause waren, frug er sie: Was habt ihr auf dem Weg miteinander gestritten?
34 But they were silent; for on the road they had been disputing with one another, who was greatest.
Sie aber schwiegen, denn sie hatten untereinander auf dem Weg verhandelt, wer der Größere wäre.
35 And sitting down, he called the twelve, and saith to them, If any one desire to be first, he will be last of all, and servant of all.
Und er setzte sich, rief die Zwölfe, und spricht zu ihnen: Wenn jemand der Erste sein will, der sei der Letzte von allen und aller Diener.
36 And he took a child, and placed him in the midst of them, and taking him in his arms, he said to them,
Und er nahm ein Kindlein, und stellte es in ihre Mitte, und indem er es in seine Arme schloß, sprach er zu ihnen:
37 Whoever receiveth one of these children in my name, receiveth me; and whoever receiveth me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.
Wer ein solches Kindlein aufnimmt in meinem Namen, der nimmt mich auf; und wer mich aufnimmt, der nimmt nicht mich auf, sondern den, der mich gesandt hat.
38 John said to him, Teacher, we saw one casting out demons in thy name who followeth not us; and we forbade him, because he did not follow us.
Johannes aber antwortete ihm, und sprach: Lehrer, wir sahen jemanden in deinem Namen Dämonen ausgetrieben, der uns nicht nachfolgt.
39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not. For no one, who shall do a miracle in my name, can readily speak evil of me.
Jesus aber sprach: Wehret ihm nicht! denn es ist niemand der eine Krafttat tut in meinem Namen, und könnte bald übel von mir reden.
40 For he that is not against us is for us.
Denn wer nicht wider uns ist, der ist für uns.
41 For whoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, truly do I say to you, he will not lose his reward.
Denn wer euch einen Becher Wasser zu trinken gibt in meinem Namen, weil ihr des Messias seid, wahrlich, ich sage euch, daß er seinen Lohn nicht verlieren wird.
42 And whoever shall cause one of these little ones that believe to fall away, it would be better for him to have a great millstone hung round his neck, and be cast into the sea.
Und wer Anstoß zum Falle eines der Kleinen gibt, die an mich glauben, dem wäre es viel besser, wenn ein Mühlstein um seinen Hals gehängt, und er in das Meer geworfen würde.
43 And if thy hand cause thee to fall away, cut it off. It is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having the two hands to go away into hell, into the fire that is unquenchable. (Geenna g1067)
Und wenn diene Hand dir Anstoß gibt, so haue sie ab, Es ist dir besser, verstümmelt ins Leben einzugehen, als mit zwei Händen ins Tal Hinnom abzugehen, in das unausgelöschte Feuer. (Geenna g1067)
45 And if thy foot is causing thee to fall away, cut it off; it is better for thee to enter into life lame, than having the two feet to be cast into hell. (Geenna g1067)
Und wenn dein Fuß dir Anstoß gibt, so haue ihn ab; Es ist dir besser lahm ins Leben einzugehen, als mit zwei Füßen ins Tal Hinnom geworfen zu werden, in das unausgelöschte Feuer. (Geenna g1067)
47 And if thine eye is causing thee to fall away, pluck it out; it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell, (Geenna g1067)
Und wenn dein Auge dir Anstoß gibt, so reiß es aus; es ist dir besser einäugig in die Gottesherrschaft einzugehen, als mit zwei Augen ins Tal Hinnom geworfen zu werden, (Geenna g1067)
48 where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
Wo ihr Wurm kein Ende nimmt und das Feuer nicht ausgelöscht wird.
49 For every one will be salted with fire.
Denn jeder wird mit Feuer gesalzen werden, und jedes Opfer wird mit Salz gesalzen werden.
50 Salt is good; but if the salt have lost its saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.
Gut ist das Salz; wenn aber das Salz salzlos wird, womit wollt ihr es würzen? Habt Salz in euch, und habt Frieden untereinander!
