Mark 7
1 And there come together to him the Pharisees, and some of the scribes, who came from Jerusalem;
१काही परूशी आणि नियमशास्त्राचे शिक्षक जे यरूशलेम शहराहून आले होते, ते येशूभोवती जमले.
2 and seeing some of his disciples eating bread with defiled, that is, unwashed hands,
२आणि त्यांनी त्याच्या काही शिष्यांना अशुद्ध, म्हणजे विधीग्रंथ हात न धुता जेवताना पाहिले.
3 (for the Pharisees, and all the Jews, unless they wash their hands often, do not eat, holding fast the tradition of the elders;
३कारण परूशी व इतर सर्व यहूदी वाडवडिलांचे नियम पाळून विशिष्ट रीतीने नीट हात धुतल्याशिवाय जेवत नाहीत.
4 and on coming from the marketplace, unless they bathe, they do not eat; and there are many other things which they have received to hold, the dipping of cups, and pitchers, and brazen vessels; )
४बाजारातून आणलेली कुठलीही वस्तू धुतल्याशिवाय ते खात नाहीत. त्यांच्या पूर्वजांच्या इतर अनेक चालारीती ते पाळतात आणि प्याले, घागरी, तांब्याची भांडी धुणे अशा दुसरे इतर नियमही पाळतात.
5 then the Pharisees and scribes ask him, Why do not thy disciples walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with defiled hands?
५मग परूशी व नियमशास्त्राचे शिक्षक यांनी येशूला विचारले, “तुझे शिष्य वाडवडिलांच्या नियम प्रमाणे का जगत नाहीत? हात न धुता का जेवतात?”
6 And he said to them, Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, “This people honoreth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
६येशू त्यांना म्हणाला, “यशयाने जेव्हा तुम्हा ढोंगी लोकांविषयी भविष्य केले तेव्हा त्याचे बरोबरच होते. यशया लिहितो, ‘हे लोक ओठांनी माझा सन्मान करतात परंतु त्याची अंतःकरणे माझ्यापासून दूर आहेत.
7 But in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.”
७ते व्यर्थ माझी उपासना करतात कारण ते लोकांस शास्त्र म्हणून जे शिकवतात ते मनुष्यांनी केलेले नियम असतात.’
8 Laying aside, the commandment of God, ye hold fast the tradition of men.
८तुम्ही देवाच्या आज्ञांचा त्याग केला असून, आता तुम्ही मनुष्याची परंपरा पाळत आहात.”
9 And he said to them, Full well do ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your tradition!
९आणखी तो त्यांना म्हणाला, “तुम्ही आपल्या परंपरा पाळण्याकरता देवाची आज्ञा मोडण्यासाठी सोयीस्कर पद्धत शोधून काढली आहे.
10 For Moses said, “Honor thy father and thy mother;” and, “He that curseth father or mother, let him surely die.”
१०मोशेने सांगितले आहे की, ‘तू आपल्या आई-वडीलांचा सन्मान कर आणि जो मनुष्य आपल्या वडिलांबद्दल किंवा आईबद्दल वाईट बोलतो, त्यास ठार मारलेच पाहिजे.’
11 But ye say, If a man say to his father or mother, Whatever thou mightst receive in aid from me is Corban, that is, a gift to God, [[he is not bound by the command. Thus]]
११परंतु तुम्ही शिकविता, एखादा मनुष्य आपल्या वडिलांना व आईला असे म्हणू शकतो की, ‘तुम्हास मदत करण्यासाठी माझ्याकडे थोडे फार आहे, परंतु तुम्हास मदत करण्यासाठी मी ते वापरणार नाही, मी ते देवाला अर्पण करण्याचे ठरवले आहे.’
12 ye suffer him no longer to do anything for his father or his mother;
१२तर तुम्ही त्यास त्याच्या वडिलांसाठी किंवा आईसाठी पुढे काहीच करू देत नाही.
13 making void the word of God by your tradition, which ye have handed down; and many such things ye do.
१३अशाप्रकारे तुम्ही आपला संप्रदाय चालू ठेवून देवाचे वचन रद्द करता आणि यासारख्या पुष्कळ गोष्टी करता.”
14 And again calling the multitude to him, he said to them, Hearken to me all of you, and understand.
१४तेव्हा येशूने लोकसमुदायाला पुन्हा बोलावून म्हटले, “प्रत्येकाने माझे ऐका व हे समजून घ्या.
15 Nothing that entereth into a man from without can defile him; but the things that come out of him are what defile a man.
१५बाहेरून मनुष्याच्या आत जाऊन त्यास अपवित्र करील असे काही नाही, तर मनुष्याच्या आतून जे निघते तेच त्यास अपवित्र करते. ज्या कोणाला ऐकण्यास कान आहेत तो ऐको.”

17 And when he had gone into the house from the crowd, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
१७लोकसमुदायाला सोडून येशू घरात गेला तेव्हा शिष्यांनी त्यास या दाखल्याविषयी विचारले,
18 And he saith to them, Are ye too so without discernment? Do ye not understand that whatever thing from without entereth into a man, cannot defile him?
१८तो त्यांना म्हणाला, “तुम्हास देखील हे समजत नाही काय? जे बाहेरून मनुष्याच्या आत जाते ते त्यास अपवित्र करीत नाही हे तुम्हास समजत नाही का?
19 because it entereth not into his heart, but into the stomach; and goeth out into the drain, which cleanseth all kinds of food.
१९कारण ते त्याच्या अंतःकरणात जात नाही तर त्याच्या पोटात जाते नंतर ते विष्ठेद्वारे शरीराबाहेर पडते.” असे सांगून सर्वप्रकारचे अन्न त्याने शुद्ध घोषित केले.
20 And he said, That which cometh out of a man, that defileth a man.
२०आणखी तो म्हणाला, “जे मनुष्याच्या अंतःकरणातून बाहेर पडते ते मनुष्यास अपवित्र करते.
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, come forth evil thoughts, fornications,
२१कारण आतून म्हणजे अंतःकरणातून वाईट विचार बाहेर पडतात. जारकर्म, चोरी, खून,
22 thefts, murders, adulteries, covetousness, iniquities, deceit, wantonness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.
२२व्यभिचार, लोभ, वाईटपणा, कपट, असभ्यता, मत्सर, शिव्यागाळी, अहंकार आणि मूर्खपणा,
23 All these evil things come from within, and defile a man.
२३या सर्व वाईट गोष्टी आतून बाहेर पडतात आणि मनुष्यास अपवित्र करतात.”
24 And rising up, he departed thence into the borders of Tyre; and entering into a house, he desired that no one should know it; but he could not escape notice.
२४येशू त्या ठिकाणाहून निघून सोर आणि सिदोन प्रांतात गेला. तेथे तो एका घरात गेला व हे कोणाला कळू नये अशी त्याची इच्छा होती. तरी त्यास गुप्त राहणे शक्य नव्हते.
25 But a woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, immediately hearing of him, came in, and fell at his feet.
२५पण जिच्या लहान मुलीला अशुद्ध आत्मा लागला होता अशा एका स्त्रीने त्याच्याविषयी लगेच ऐकले व ती येऊन त्याच्या पाया पडली.
26 The woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast out the demon from her daughter.
२६ती स्त्री ग्रीक होती व सिरीयातील फिनीशिया येथे जन्मली होती. तिने येशूला आपल्या मुलीतून भूत काढण्याची विनंती केली.
27 And he said to her, Let the children be filled first; for it is not well to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs.
२७तो तिला म्हणाला, “प्रथम मुलांना तृप्त होऊ दे कारण मुलांची भाकरी घेऊन कुत्र्याला टाकणे योग्य नव्हे.”
28 But she answered, and saith to him, Yea, Lord; even the little dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.
२८परंतु ती त्यास म्हणाली, “प्रभू, कुत्रीसुद्धा मुलांच्या हातून मेजाखाली पडलेला चुरा खातात.”
29 And he said to her, For this saying go thy way; the demon hath gone out of thy daughter.
२९तो त्या स्त्रीला म्हणाला, “तुझ्या या बोलण्यामुळे जा, तुझ्या मुलीतून भूत निघून गेले आहे.”
30 And going away to her house, she found the child laid upon the bed, and the demon gone out.
३०मग ती घरी आली तेव्हा तिची मुलगी अंथरूणावर पडली आहे व तिच्यातून भूत निघून गेले आहे. असे तिने पाहिले.
31 And again leaving the borders of Tyre, he came through Sidon to the lake of Galilee, through the midst of the borders of Decapolis.
३१येशू सोर भोवतालच्या प्रदेशातून परतला आणि सिदोनाहून दकापलीसच्या वाटेने गालीलच्या सरोवराकडे आला.
32 And they bring to him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech, and beseech him to lay his hand upon him.
३२तेथे काही लोकांनी एका बहिऱ्या-तोतऱ्या मनुष्यास येशूकडे आणले व आपण त्याच्यावर हात ठेवावा अशी विनंती केली.
33 And taking him aside from the multitude, he put his fingers into his ears, and having spit, touched his tongue;
३३येशूने त्यास लोकांपासून एका बाजूस घेऊन त्याच्या कानात आपली बोटे घातली व थुंकून त्याच्या जीभेला स्पर्श केला.
34 and looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith to him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
३४त्याने स्वर्गाकडे पाहून उसासा टाकला व तो म्हणाला, “इफ्फाथा.” म्हणजे, “मोकळा हो.”
35 And his ears were opened; and the string of his tongue was immediately loosed, and he spoke plain.
३५आणि त्याच क्षणी त्याचे कान मोकळे झाले आणि जीभेचा बंद सुटला व त्यास बोलता येऊ लागले.
36 And he charged them to tell no one; but the more he charged them, the more did they publish it.
३६तेव्हा हे कोणाला सांगू नका असे त्याने त्यांना निक्षून सांगितले. परंतु तो त्यांना जसजसे सांगत गेला, तसतसे ते अधिकच जाहीर करत गेले.
37 And they were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well; he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
३७ते लोक फारच आश्चर्यचकित झाले व म्हणाले, “त्याने सर्वकाही चांगले केले आहे. तो बहिऱ्यांना ऐकण्यास आणि मुक्यांना बोलावयास लावतो.”
