Mark 5
1 And they came to the other side of the lake, into the country of the Gerasenes.
௧பின்பு அவர்கள் கடலுக்கு அக்கரையில் உள்ள கதரேனருடைய நாட்டிற்கு வந்தார்கள்.
2 And when he had come out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
௨அவர் படகில் இருந்து இறங்கினவுடனே, அசுத்தஆவியுள்ள ஒரு மனிதன் கல்லறைகளில் இருந்து அவருக்கு எதிராகவந்தான்.
3 who had his dwelling in the tombs; and not even with a chain could any one bind him any longer;
௩அவன் கல்லறைகளிலே குடியிருந்து வந்தான்; அவனைச் சங்கிலிகளினால் கட்டவும் ஒருவனுக்கும் முடியவில்லை.
4 because he had often been bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been snapped asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces; and no one could master him;
௪அவன் பலமுறை விலங்குகளினாலும் சங்கிலிகளினாலும் கட்டப்பட்டும், சங்கிலிகளைத் தகர்த்து, விலங்குகளை உடைத்துப்போடுவான்; அவனை அடக்க ஒருவனுக்கும் முடியவில்லை.
5 and continually, night and day, in the tombs and in the mountains, he was crying out, and cutting himself, with stones.
௫அவன் எப்பொழுதும் இரவும் பகலும், மலைகளிலும் கல்லறைகளிலும் இருந்து, சத்தம்போட்டு, கல்லுகளினால் தன்னைத்தானே காயப்படுத்திக்கொண்டிருந்தான்.
6 And seeing Jesus afar off, he ran and bowed down before him,
௬அவன் இயேசுவைத் தூரத்திலே பார்த்தபோது, ஓடிவந்து, அவரைப் பணிந்துகொண்டு:
7 and cried out with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, do not torment me.
௭இயேசுவே, உன்னதமான தேவனுடைய குமாரனே, எனக்கும் உமக்கும் என்ன? என்னை வேதனைப்படுத்தவேண்டாம் என்று தேவனுடைய பெயரில் உம்மைக் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுகிறேன் என்று அதிக சத்தமிட்டுச் சொன்னான்.
8 For he was saying to him, Unclean spirit, come out from the man.
௮ஏனென்றால், அவர் அவனைப் பார்த்து: அசுத்தஆவியே, இந்த மனிதனைவிட்டு வெளியே போ என்று சொல்லியிருந்தார்.
9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he saith to him, Legion is my name; for we are many.
௯அப்பொழுது அவர் அவனைப் பார்த்து: உன் பெயர் என்ன என்று கேட்டார். அதற்கு அவன்: நாங்கள் அநேகர் இருப்பதினால் என் பெயர் லேகியோன் என்று சொல்லி,
10 And he besought him much not to send them out of the country.
௧0தங்களை அந்தத் திசையிலிருந்து துரத்திவிடவேண்டாம் என்று அவரை அதிகமாக வேண்டிக்கொண்டான்.
11 Now there was there, by the mountain, a great herd of swine feeding.
௧௧அப்பொழுது, அந்த இடத்தில் மலையின் அருகில் அநேக பன்றிகள் கூட்டமாக மேய்ந்துகொண்டிருந்தது.
12 And they besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
௧௨அந்தப் பிசாசுகள் அவரைப் பார்த்து: பன்றிகளுக்குள்ளே போக, அவைகளுக்குள் எங்களை அனுப்பும் என்று அவரை வேண்டிக்கொண்டன.
13 And he gave them leave. And the unclean spirits coming out, entered into the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep into the lake, about two thousand, and were drowned in the lake.
௧௩இயேசு அவைகளுக்கு உத்தரவு கொடுத்தவுடனே, அசுத்தஆவிகள் புறப்பட்டுப் பன்றிகளுக்குள் போனது; உடனே ஏறக்குறைய இரண்டாயிரம் பன்றிகளுள்ள அந்தக்கூட்டம் உயர்ந்த மேட்டிலிருந்து ஓடி, கடலிலே பாய்ந்து, கடலில் அமிழ்ந்துபோனது.
14 And they that fed them fled, and told the news in the city and in the country. And they came to see what had been done.
௧௪பன்றிகளை மேய்த்தவர்கள் ஓடி, இதைப் பட்டணத்திலும் சுற்றுப்புறங்களிலும் அறிவித்தார்கள். அப்பொழுது நடந்தவைகளைப் பார்ப்பதற்காக மக்கள் புறப்பட்டு;
15 And they come to Jesus, and see him who had been possessed by demons, sitting, clothed, and in his right mind, —him who had had the legion; and they were afraid.
௧௫இயேசுவிடம் வந்து, லேகியோனாகிய பிசாசுகள் பிடித்திருந்தவன் புத்தி தெளிந்து, உடை அணிந்து, உட்கார்ந்திருப்பதைப் பார்த்து, பயந்தார்கள்.
16 And they who saw it told them how it befell him that was possessed by the demons, and concerning the swine.
௧௬பிசாசுகள் பிடித்திருந்தவனுக்கும் பன்றிகளுக்கும் நடந்தவைகளைப் பார்த்தவர்களும் அவர்களுக்கு விளக்கமாகச் சொன்னார்கள்.
17 And they began to beseech him to depart from their borders.
௧௭அப்பொழுது தங்களுடைய எல்லைகளைவிட்டுப் போகவேண்டும் என்று அவரை வேண்டிக்கொண்டார்கள்.
18 And when he was going on board the boat, he that had been possessed by the demons besought him that be might be with him.
௧௮அப்படியே அவர் படகில் ஏறும்பொழுது, பிசாசு பிடித்திருந்தவன், இயேசுவோடு வருவதற்கு தனக்கு அனுமதி கொடுக்கவேண்டும் என்று அவரை வேண்டிக்கொண்டான்.
19 And he did not permit him, but said to him, Go to thy house to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and that he hath had compassion on thee.
௧௯இயேசு அவனுக்கு அனுமதி கொடுக்காமல்: நீ உன் குடும்பத்தாரிடம் உன் வீட்டிற்குப்போய், கர்த்தர் உனக்கு மனமிறங்கி, உனக்குச் செய்தவைகளை எல்லாம் அவர்களுக்குச் சொல் என்று சொன்னார்.
20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him; and all wondered.
௨0அப்படியே அவன்போய், இயேசு தனக்குச் செய்தவைகளை எல்லாம் தெக்கப்போலி என்னும் நாட்டில் பிரசித்தப்படுத்தினான்; எல்லோரும் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டார்கள்.
21 And when Jesus had crossed again in the boat to the ether side, a great multitude gathered about him; and he was by the lake.
௨௧இயேசு படகில் ஏறி மறுபடியும் இக்கரைக்கு வந்து, கடலோரத்தில் இருந்தபோது, அநேக மக்கள் அவரிடம் கூடிவந்தார்கள்.
22 And there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and seeing him, he fell at his feet,
௨௨அப்பொழுது, ஜெப ஆலயத்தலைவரில் ஒருவனாகிய யவீரு என்பவன் வந்து, அவரைப் பார்த்தவுடனே, அவர் பாதத்தில் விழுந்து:
23 and besought him much, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death; I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be saved and live.
௨௩என் மகள் மரணவேதனைப்படுகிறாள், அவள் சுகமடைய, நீர் வந்து, அவள்மேல் உமது கரங்களை வையும், அப்பொழுது பிழைப்பாள் என்று அவரை அதிகமாக வேண்டிக்கொண்டான்.
24 And he went with him; and a great multitude followed him, and pressed upon him.
௨௪அவர் அவனோடுகூட போனார். அநேக மக்கள் அவருக்குப் பின்னேசென்று, அவரை நெருக்கினார்கள்.
25 And a woman, who had had an issue of blood twelve years,
௨௫அப்பொழுது பன்னிரண்டு வருடங்களாக இரத்தப்போக்கினாலே அவதிப்பட்ட ஒரு பெண்,
26 and had undergone much at the hands of many physicians, and spent all that she had, and was not at all benefited, but rather grew worse,
௨௬அநேக வைத்தியர்களால் அதிகமாக வருத்தப்பட்டு, தன்னிடம் இருந்த எல்லாவற்றையும் செலவு செய்தும், கொஞ்சம்கூட குணமாகாமல் அதிகமாக வருத்தப்படுகிறபொழுது,
27 having heard about Jesus, came in the crowd behind, and touched his garment.
௨௭இயேசுவைப்பற்றிக் கேள்விப்பட்டு: நான் அவருடைய ஆடையையாவது தொட்டால் சுகம் பெறுவேன் என்று சொல்லி;
28 For she said, If I touch even his garments, I shall be made well.
௨௮மக்கள் கூட்டத்தின் உள்ளே அவருக்குப் பின்பக்கத்தில் வந்து, அவருடைய ஆடையைத் தொட்டாள்.
29 And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she perceived in her body that she was cured of her plague.
௨௯உடனே அவளுடைய இரத்தப்போக்கு நின்றுபோனது; அந்த வேதனை நீங்கி சுகம் பெற்றதை அவள் தன் சரீரத்தில் உணர்ந்தாள்.
30 And Jesus immediately perceiving in himself that power had gone out from him, turned round in the crowed, and said, Who touched my garments?
௩0உடனே இயேசு தம்மிடம் இருந்து வல்லமை புறப்பட்டுப் போனதைத் தமக்குள் அறிந்து, மக்கள்கூட்டத்தில் திரும்பி: என் ஆடைகளைத் தொட்டது யார் என்று கேட்டார்.
31 And his disciples said to him, Thou seest the multitude pressing on thee, and dost thou say, Who touched me?
௩௧அவருடைய சீடர்கள் அவரைப் பார்த்து: அநேக மக்கள் உம்மை நெருக்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறதை நீர் பார்த்தும், என்னைத் தொட்டது யார் என்று கேட்கிறீரே என்றார்கள்.
32 And he looked round to see her who had done this.
௩௨இதைச் செய்தவளைப் பார்க்க அவர் சுற்றிலும் பார்த்தார்.
33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
௩௩தன்னிடம் நடந்ததை அறிந்த அந்தப் பெண் பயந்து, நடுங்கி, அவர் முன்பாக வந்து விழுந்து, உண்மைகளை எல்லாம் அவருக்குச் சொன்னாள்.
34 And he said to her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee well; go in peace, and be recovered from thy plague.
௩௪அவர் அவளைப் பார்த்து: மகளே, உன் விசுவாசம் உன்னை இரட்சித்தது, நீ சமாதானத்தோடு போய், உன் வேதனை நீங்கி, சுகமாக இரு என்றார்.
35 While he was yet speaking, there came from the house I of the ruler of the synagogue some who said, Thy daughter is dead; why dost thou trouble the Teacher any further?
௩௫அவர் இப்படிப் பேசிக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது, ஜெப ஆலயத்தலைவனுடைய வீட்டிலிருந்து சிலர் வந்து: உம்முடைய மகள் மரித்துப்போனாள், இனி ஏன் போதகரை வருத்தப்படுத்துகிறாய் என்றார்கள்.
36 And Jesus, overhearing those words, saith to the ruler of the synagogue, Fear not; only believe.
௩௬அவர்கள் சொன்ன வார்த்தையை இயேசு கேட்டவுடனே, ஜெப ஆலயத்தலைவனைப் பார்த்து: பயப்படாதே, விசுவாசம் உள்ளவனாக இரு என்று சொல்லி;
37 And he suffered no one to follow him except Peter and James, and John the brother of James.
௩௭வேறுயாரையும் தம்மோடு சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளாமல், பேதுருவையும், யாக்கோபையும், யாக்கோபின் சகோதரன் யோவானையும் தம்மோடு கூட்டிக்கொண்டுபோனார்;
38 And they come to the house of the ruler of the synagogue; and he seeth a tumult, and people weeping and wailing greatly.
௩௮ஜெப ஆலயத்தலைவனுடைய வீட்டிற்கு வந்து, அங்கே சத்தமிடுகிற மக்களையும் மிகவும் அழுது புலம்புகிறவர்களையும் கண்டு,
39 And going in, he saith to them, Why do ye make this confusion and weeping? The child is not dead, but is sleeping.
௩௯உள்ளே சென்று: நீங்கள் சத்தமிட்டு அழுகிறது ஏன்? பிள்ளை மரிக்கவில்லை, தூங்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறாள் என்றார்.
40 And they laughed him to scorn. But putting them all out, he taketh the father of the child, and the mother, and those who were with him, and entereth where the child was.
௪0அதற்காக அவரைப் பார்த்து சிரித்தார்கள். எல்லோரையும் அவர் வெளியே அனுப்பிவிட்டு, பிள்ளையின் தகப்பனையும் தாயையும் தம்மோடு வந்தவர்களையும் அழைத்துக்கொண்டு, பிள்ளை இருந்த அறைக்குள் சென்று,
41 And taking hold of the hand of the child, he saith to her, Talitha, kum; which is, when interpreted, Damsel, I say to thee, arise!
௪௧பிள்ளையின் கையைப் பிடித்து: தலீத்தாகூமி என்றார்; அதற்கு; சிறுபெண்ணே எழுந்திரு என்று உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்று அர்த்தம்.
42 And immediately the damsel arose and walked; for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were greatly astonished.
௪௨உடனே சிறுபெண் எழுந்து நடந்தாள்; அவள் பன்னிரண்டு வயதுள்ளவளாக இருந்தாள். அவர்கள் அனைவரும் மிகுந்த ஆச்சரியப்பட்டுப் பிரமித்தார்கள்.
43 And he charged them strictly that no one should know it, and bade that something should be given her to eat.
௪௩அதை ஒருவருக்கும் சொல்லவேண்டாம் என்று அவர்களுக்கு உறுதியாகக் கட்டளையிட்டு, அவளுக்குச் சாப்பிடுவதற்கு ஏதாவது கொடுங்கள் என்று சொன்னார்.
