< Mark 5 >
1 And they came to the other side of the lake, into the country of the Gerasenes.
Vakasvika mhiri kwegungwa, kunyika yeVaGadharini.
2 And when he had come out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
Zvino wakati abuda muchikepe, pakarepo munhu akamuchingamidza achibva kumarinda ane mweya wetsvina,
3 who had his dwelling in the tombs; and not even with a chain could any one bind him any longer;
uyo wakange ane ugaro kumarinda, uye kwakange kusina wakange achigona kumusunga kunyange nemaketani,
4 because he had often been bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been snapped asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces; and no one could master him;
nokuti kazhinji waisungwa nezvisungo zvemakumbo nemaketani, asi maketani aigurwa nepakati naye, nezvisungo zvemakumbo zvaigurwa kuita zvidimbu; uye kwakange kusina waigona kumupingudza.
5 and continually, night and day, in the tombs and in the mountains, he was crying out, and cutting himself, with stones.
Zvino nguva dzese, usiku nemasikati, waiva mumakomo nemumarinda achidanidzira, achizvicheka nemabwe.
6 And seeing Jesus afar off, he ran and bowed down before him,
Zvino wakati achiona Jesu ari kure, akamhanya ndokumunamata;
7 and cried out with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, do not torment me.
akadanidzira nenzwi guru akati: Ndinei nemwi Jesu, Mwanakomana waMwari Wekumusoro-soro? Ndinokupikirai naMwari, murege kundirwadzisa.
8 For he was saying to him, Unclean spirit, come out from the man.
Nokuti wakati kwaari: Buda mumunhu, mweya wetsvina.
9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he saith to him, Legion is my name; for we are many.
Ndokumubvunza akati: Zita rako ndiani? Akapindura achiti: Zita rangu rinonzi Regiyoni, nokuti tiri vazhinji.
10 And he besought him much not to send them out of the country.
Akamukumbirisa zvikuru kuti arege kuvaendesa kunze kwenyika.
11 Now there was there, by the mountain, a great herd of swine feeding.
Zvino kwakange kuripo pedo nemakomo boka guru renguruve dzichifura.
12 And they besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
Nemadhimoni ese akamukumbira zvikuru achiti: Titumirei kunguruve kuti tipinde madziri.
13 And he gave them leave. And the unclean spirits coming out, entered into the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep into the lake, about two thousand, and were drowned in the lake.
Pakarepo Jesu akaatendera. Mweya yetsvina ikabuda ikapinda munguruve; boka rikapitirikira kumawere kuenda kugungwa, dzinenge dzaiva zvuru zviviri, dzikabitirirwa mugungwa.
14 And they that fed them fled, and told the news in the city and in the country. And they came to see what had been done.
Zvino vaifudza nguruve vakatiza, vakanoreva muguta neparuwa. Vakabuda kuzoona kuti chii chainge chaitwa.
15 And they come to Jesus, and see him who had been possessed by demons, sitting, clothed, and in his right mind, —him who had had the legion; and they were afraid.
Vakasvika kuna Jesu, vakaona wakange ane madhimoni, iye waiva neRegiyoni agere, akapfeka ari munhu kwaye; vakatya.
16 And they who saw it told them how it befell him that was possessed by the demons, and concerning the swine.
Uye avo vakange vazviona, vakavarondedzera kuti zvakaitika sei kune wakange ane madhimoni nepamusoro penguruve.
17 And they began to beseech him to depart from their borders.
Vakatanga kumukumbirisa kuti abve mudunhu mavo.
18 And when he was going on board the boat, he that had been possessed by the demons besought him that be might be with him.
Zvino wakati achipinda muchikepe, iye waiva nemadhimoni akamukumbirisa kuti ave naye.
19 And he did not permit him, but said to him, Go to thy house to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and that he hath had compassion on thee.
Asi Jesu haana kumutendera, asi wakati kwaari: Enda kumba kwako, kune vekwako, unovaudza kuti zvikuru sei Ishe zvaakuitira, nekukuitira tsitsi.
20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him; and all wondered.
Akabva ndokuenda akatanga kuparidza muDhekapori kukura kwezvinhu Jesu zvaakamuitira; vese vakashamisika.
21 And when Jesus had crossed again in the boat to the ether side, a great multitude gathered about him; and he was by the lake.
Jesu wakati ayambukazve nechikepe kune rimwe divi, chaunga chikuru chikaunganira kwaari, uye wakange ava parutivi rwegungwa.
22 And there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and seeing him, he fell at his feet,

23 and besought him much, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death; I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be saved and live.
Akamukumbirisa zvikuru achiti: Mukunda wangu mudiki wotandadza, dai mauya muise maoko pamusoro pake kuti aponeswe uye achararama.
24 And he went with him; and a great multitude followed him, and pressed upon him.
Akaenda naye; chaunga chikuru chikamutevera, chikamutsimbirira.
25 And a woman, who had had an issue of blood twelve years,
Zvino umwe mukadzi waiva nekubuda ropa makore gumi nemaviri,
26 and had undergone much at the hands of many physicians, and spent all that she had, and was not at all benefited, but rather grew worse,

28 For she said, If I touch even his garments, I shall be made well.
Nokuti wakati: Kana ndikabata nguvo dzake chete, ndichaponeswa.
29 And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she perceived in her body that she was cured of her plague.
Zvino pakarepo chitubu cheropa rake chikapwa, akanzwa mumuviri kuti waporeswa pachifo.
30 And Jesus immediately perceiving in himself that power had gone out from him, turned round in the crowed, and said, Who touched my garments?
Zvino pakarepo Jesu achiziva mukati make kuti simba rabuda maari, akatendeuka pachaunga akati: Ndiani wabata nguvo dzangu?
31 And his disciples said to him, Thou seest the multitude pressing on thee, and dost thou say, Who touched me?
Vadzidzi vake vakati kwaari: Munoona chaunga chinokutsimbirirai, zvino moti: Ndiani wandibata?
32 And he looked round to see her who had done this.
Zvino wakaringa-ringa kuona uyo wakange aita ichi.
33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
Asi mukadzi achitya, nekubvunda, achiziva zvakange zvaitika maari, akauya ndokuwira pamberi pake, ndokumuudza chokwadi chese.
34 And he said to her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee well; go in peace, and be recovered from thy plague.
Ndokuti kwaari: Mukunda, rutendo rwako rwakuponesa, enda nerugare, poreswa pachifo chako.
35 While he was yet speaking, there came from the house I of the ruler of the synagogue some who said, Thy daughter is dead; why dost thou trouble the Teacher any further?
Wakati achataura, kwakasvika vamwe vemukuru wesinagoge vakati: Mukunda wenyu wafa, muchiri kutambudzirei Mudzidzisi?
36 And Jesus, overhearing those words, saith to the ruler of the synagogue, Fear not; only believe.
Pakarepo Jesu achinzwa shoko rakataurwa akati kumukuru wesinagoge: Usatya, tenda chete.
37 And he suffered no one to follow him except Peter and James, and John the brother of James.
Akasatendera munhu kumutevera, kunze kwaPetro, naJakobho, naJohwani munin'ina waJakobho.

Zvino wakati apinda akati kwavari: Munoitirei mhere-mhere muchichema? Mwana haana kufa, asi arere.
40 And they laughed him to scorn. But putting them all out, he taketh the father of the child, and the mother, and those who were with him, and entereth where the child was.
Vakamuseka. Asi iye wakati avabudisa vese panze, akatora baba vemwana namai nevakange vanaye, akapinda makange murere mwana.
41 And taking hold of the hand of the child, he saith to her, Talitha, kum; which is, when interpreted, Damsel, I say to thee, arise!
Akabata ruoko rwemwana, akati kwaari: "Tarita kumi"; ndokuti kana zvichishandurwa: Musikana mudiki, ndinoti kwauri, muka.
42 And immediately the damsel arose and walked; for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were greatly astonished.
