Mark 5
1 And they came to the other side of the lake, into the country of the Gerasenes.
Eles vieram para o outro lado do mar, para o país dos gadarenos.
2 And when he had come out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
Quando ele saiu do barco, imediatamente um homem com um espírito impuro o encontrou fora dos túmulos.
3 who had his dwelling in the tombs; and not even with a chain could any one bind him any longer;
Ele vivia nos túmulos. Ninguém mais podia amarrá-lo, nem mesmo com correntes,
4 because he had often been bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been snapped asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces; and no one could master him;
porque ele havia sido frequentemente amarrado com grilhões e correntes, e as correntes haviam sido rasgadas por ele, e os grilhões quebrados em pedaços. Ninguém tinha a força para domá-lo.
5 and continually, night and day, in the tombs and in the mountains, he was crying out, and cutting himself, with stones.
Sempre, noite e dia, nos túmulos e nas montanhas, ele gritava, e se cortava com pedras.
6 And seeing Jesus afar off, he ran and bowed down before him,
Quando viu Jesus de longe, ele correu e se curvou diante dele,
7 and cried out with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, do not torment me.
e gritando com voz alta, disse: “O que tenho a ver com você, Jesus, seu Filho do Deus Altíssimo? Eu te conjuro por Deus, não me atormentes”.
8 For he was saying to him, Unclean spirit, come out from the man.
Pois ele lhe disse: “Saia do homem, seu espírito impuro!”
9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he saith to him, Legion is my name; for we are many.
Ele lhe perguntou: “Qual é o seu nome?” Ele lhe disse: “Meu nome é Legião, pois somos muitos”.
10 And he besought him much not to send them out of the country.
Ele lhe implorou muito que não os mandasse para fora do país.
11 Now there was there, by the mountain, a great herd of swine feeding.
Agora na encosta da montanha havia um grande rebanho de porcos alimentando-se.
12 And they besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
Todos os demônios lhe imploraram, dizendo: “Mande-nos para os porcos, para que possamos entrar neles”.
13 And he gave them leave. And the unclean spirits coming out, entered into the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep into the lake, about two thousand, and were drowned in the lake.
Imediatamente Jesus lhes deu permissão. Os espíritos impuros saíram e entraram nos porcos. O rebanho de cerca de dois mil pessoas apressou-se a descer a margem íngreme para o mar, e eles foram afogados no mar.
14 And they that fed them fled, and told the news in the city and in the country. And they came to see what had been done.
Aqueles que alimentaram os porcos fugiram e o contaram na cidade e no campo. As pessoas vieram para ver o que tinha acontecido.
15 And they come to Jesus, and see him who had been possessed by demons, sitting, clothed, and in his right mind, —him who had had the legion; and they were afraid.
Eles vieram a Jesus, e viram aquele que tinha sido possuído por demônios sentados, vestidos e em seu juízo perfeito, até mesmo aquele que tinha a legião; e ficaram com medo.
16 And they who saw it told them how it befell him that was possessed by the demons, and concerning the swine.
Aqueles que o viram declararam-lhes o que aconteceu com ele que estava possuído por demônios, e sobre os porcos.
17 And they began to beseech him to depart from their borders.
Eles começaram a implorar para que ele saísse de sua região.
18 And when he was going on board the boat, he that had been possessed by the demons besought him that be might be with him.
Ao entrar no barco, aquele que tinha sido possuído por demônios implorou-lhe que pudesse estar com ele.
19 And he did not permit him, but said to him, Go to thy house to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and that he hath had compassion on thee.
Ele não o permitiu, mas lhe disse: “Vá a sua casa, a seus amigos, e diga-lhes que grandes coisas o Senhor fez por você e como ele teve misericórdia de você”.
20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him; and all wondered.
Ele seguiu seu caminho, e começou a proclamar na Decápolis como Jesus havia feito grandes coisas por ele, e todos se maravilharam.
21 And when Jesus had crossed again in the boat to the ether side, a great multitude gathered about him; and he was by the lake.
Quando Jesus atravessou de volta no barco para o outro lado, uma grande multidão foi reunida a ele; e ele estava junto ao mar.
22 And there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and seeing him, he fell at his feet,
Eis que veio um dos chefes da sinagoga, Jairo pelo nome; e vendo-o, caiu a seus pés
23 and besought him much, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death; I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be saved and live.
e implorou-lhe muito, dizendo: “Minha filhinha está a ponto de morrer”. Por favor, venha e ponha suas mãos sobre ela, para que ela se torne saudável, e viva”.
24 And he went with him; and a great multitude followed him, and pressed upon him.
Ele foi com ele, e uma grande multidão o seguiu, e eles o pressionaram de todos os lados.
25 And a woman, who had had an issue of blood twelve years,
Uma certa mulher que teve uma descarga de sangue durante doze anos,
26 and had undergone much at the hands of many physicians, and spent all that she had, and was not at all benefited, but rather grew worse,
e que tinha sofrido muitas coisas por muitos médicos, e tinha gasto tudo o que tinha, e não era melhor, mas sim piorou,
27 having heard about Jesus, came in the crowd behind, and touched his garment.
having ouviu as coisas relativas a Jesus, veio atrás dele na multidão e tocou suas roupas.
28 For she said, If I touch even his garments, I shall be made well.
Pois ela disse: “Se eu apenas tocar suas roupas, eu ficarei bem”.
29 And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she perceived in her body that she was cured of her plague.
Imediatamente o fluxo de seu sangue secou, e ela sentiu em seu corpo que estava curada de sua aflição.
30 And Jesus immediately perceiving in himself that power had gone out from him, turned round in the crowed, and said, Who touched my garments?
Imediatamente Jesus, percebendo em si mesmo que o poder havia saído dele, virou-se na multidão e perguntou: “Quem tocou minhas roupas?
31 And his disciples said to him, Thou seest the multitude pressing on thee, and dost thou say, Who touched me?
Seus discípulos lhe disseram: “Você vê a multidão pressionando contra você, e você diz: 'Quem me tocou?
32 And he looked round to see her who had done this.
Ele olhou à sua volta para ver quem tinha feito isto.
33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
Mas a mulher, temendo e tremendo, sabendo o que havia sido feito com ela, veio e caiu diante dele, e lhe disse toda a verdade.
34 And he said to her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee well; go in peace, and be recovered from thy plague.
Ele disse a ela: “Filha, sua fé a fez bem. Vá em paz, e seja curada de sua doença”.
35 While he was yet speaking, there came from the house I of the ruler of the synagogue some who said, Thy daughter is dead; why dost thou trouble the Teacher any further?
Enquanto ele ainda falava, as pessoas vinham da casa do dirigente da sinagoga, dizendo: “Sua filha está morta”. Por que incomodar mais o Professor”?
36 And Jesus, overhearing those words, saith to the ruler of the synagogue, Fear not; only believe.
Mas Jesus, ao ouvir a mensagem, disse imediatamente ao dirigente da sinagoga: “Não tenha medo, apenas acredite”.
37 And he suffered no one to follow him except Peter and James, and John the brother of James.
Ele não permitiu que ninguém o seguisse, exceto Pedro, Tiago e João, o irmão de Tiago.
38 And they come to the house of the ruler of the synagogue; and he seeth a tumult, and people weeping and wailing greatly.
Ele veio à casa do regente da sinagoga, e viu um alvoroço, choroço e grande pranto.
39 And going in, he saith to them, Why do ye make this confusion and weeping? The child is not dead, but is sleeping.
Quando ele entrou, disse-lhes: “Por que vocês fazem um alvoroço e choram? A criança não está morta, mas está dormindo”.
40 And they laughed him to scorn. But putting them all out, he taketh the father of the child, and the mother, and those who were with him, and entereth where the child was.
Eles o ridicularizaram. Mas ele, depois de expulsá-los a todos, levou o pai da criança, sua mãe e aqueles que estavam com ele, e entrou onde a criança estava deitada.
41 And taking hold of the hand of the child, he saith to her, Talitha, kum; which is, when interpreted, Damsel, I say to thee, arise!
Tomando a criança pela mão, ele lhe disse: “Talitha cumi!” que significa, sendo interpretado: “Menina, eu lhe digo, levante-se!”
42 And immediately the damsel arose and walked; for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were greatly astonished.
Imediatamente a menina se levantou e caminhou, pois tinha doze anos de idade. Eles ficaram maravilhados com grande espanto.
43 And he charged them strictly that no one should know it, and bade that something should be given her to eat.
Ele lhes ordenou estritamente que ninguém soubesse disso e ordenou que algo fosse dado a ela para comer.
