Mark 5
1 And they came to the other side of the lake, into the country of the Gerasenes.
| پس به آن کناره دریا تا به‌سرزمین جدریان آمدند. | ۱ |
2 And when he had come out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
| و چون از کشتی بیرون آمد، فی الفور شخصی که روحی پلید داشت از قبوربیرون شده، بدو برخورد. | ۲ |
3 who had his dwelling in the tombs; and not even with a chain could any one bind him any longer;
| که در قبور ساکن می‌بود و هیچ‌کس به زنجیرها هم نمی توانست اورا بند نماید، | ۳ |
4 because he had often been bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been snapped asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces; and no one could master him;
| زیرا که بارها او را به کنده‌ها وزنجیرها بسته بودند و زنجیرها را گسیخته وکنده‌ها را شکسته بود و احدی نمی توانست او رارام نماید، | ۴ |
5 and continually, night and day, in the tombs and in the mountains, he was crying out, and cutting himself, with stones.
| و پیوسته شب وروز در کوهها وقبرها فریا می‌زد و خود را به سنگها مجروح می‌ساخت. | ۵ |
6 And seeing Jesus afar off, he ran and bowed down before him,
| چون عیسی را از دور دید، دوان دوان آمده، او را سجده کرد، | ۶ |
7 and cried out with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, do not torment me.
| و به آواز بلندصیحه زده، گفت: «ای عیسی، پسر خدای تعالی، مرا با تو چه‌کار است؟ تو را به خدا قسم می‌دهم که مرا معذب نسازی.» | ۷ |
8 For he was saying to him, Unclean spirit, come out from the man.
| زیرا بدو گفته بود: «ای روح پلید از این شخص بیرون بیا!» | ۸ |
9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he saith to him, Legion is my name; for we are many.
| پس از اوپرسید: «اسم تو چیست؟» «به وی گفت: «نام من لجئون است زیرا که بسیاریم.» | ۹ |
10 And he besought him much not to send them out of the country.
| پس بدوالتماس بسیار نمود که ایشان را از آن سرزمین بیرون نکند. | ۱۰ |
11 Now there was there, by the mountain, a great herd of swine feeding.
| و در حوالی آن کوهها، گله گرازبسیاری می‌چرید. | ۱۱ |
12 And they besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
| و همه دیوها از وی خواهش نموده، گفتند: «ما را به گرازها بفرست تادر آنها داخل شویم.» | ۱۲ |
13 And he gave them leave. And the unclean spirits coming out, entered into the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep into the lake, about two thousand, and were drowned in the lake.
| فور عیسی ایشان رااجازت داد. پس آن ارواح خبیث بیرون شده، به گرازان داخل گشتند و آن گله از بلندی به دریاجست و قریب بدو هزار بودند که در آب خفه شدند. | ۱۳ |
14 And they that fed them fled, and told the news in the city and in the country. And they came to see what had been done.
| و خوک با نان فرار کرده، در شهر ومزرعه‌ها خبر می‌دادند و مردم بجهت دیدن آن ماجرا بیرون شتافتند. | ۱۴ |
15 And they come to Jesus, and see him who had been possessed by demons, sitting, clothed, and in his right mind, —him who had had the legion; and they were afraid.
| و چون نزد عیسی رسیده، آن دیوانه را که لجئون داشته بود دیدند که نشسته و لباس پوشیده و عاقل گشته است، بترسیدند. | ۱۵ |
16 And they who saw it told them how it befell him that was possessed by the demons, and concerning the swine.
| و آنانی که دیده بودند، سرگذشت دیوانه و گرازان را بدیشان بازگفتند. | ۱۶ |
17 And they began to beseech him to depart from their borders.
| پس شروع به التماس نمودند که از حدود ایشان روانه شود. | ۱۷ |
18 And when he was going on board the boat, he that had been possessed by the demons besought him that be might be with him.
| و چون به کشتی سوار شد، آنکه دیوانه بود ازوی استدعا نمود که با وی باشد. | ۱۸ |
19 And he did not permit him, but said to him, Go to thy house to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and that he hath had compassion on thee.
| اما عیسی وی را اجازت نداد بلکه بدو گفت: «به خانه نزدخویشان خود برو و ایشان را خبر ده از آنچه خداوند با تو کرده است و چگونه به تو رحم نموده است.» | ۱۹ |
20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him; and all wondered.
| پس روانه شده، در دیکاپولس به آنچه عیسی با وی کرده، موعظه کردن آغاز نمودکه همه مردم متعجب شدند. | ۲۰ |
21 And when Jesus had crossed again in the boat to the ether side, a great multitude gathered about him; and he was by the lake.
| و چون عیسی باز به آنطرف، در کشتی عبور نمود، مردم بسیار بر وی جمع گشتند و برکناره دریا بود. | ۲۱ |
22 And there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and seeing him, he fell at his feet,
| که ناگاه یکی از روسای کنیسه، یایرس نام آمد و چون او را بدید بر پایهایش افتاده، | ۲۲ |
23 and besought him much, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death; I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be saved and live.
| بدو التماس بسیار نموده، گفت: «نفس دخترک من به آخر رسیده. بیا و بر او دست گذار تاشفا یافته، زیست کند.» | ۲۳ |
24 And he went with him; and a great multitude followed him, and pressed upon him.
| پس با او روانه شده، خلق بسیاری نیز از پی او افتاده، بر وی ازدحام می‌نمودند. | ۲۴ |
25 And a woman, who had had an issue of blood twelve years,
| آنگاه زنی که مدت دوازده سال به استحاضه مبتلا می‌بود، | ۲۵ |
26 and had undergone much at the hands of many physicians, and spent all that she had, and was not at all benefited, but rather grew worse,
| و زحمت بسیار ازاطبای متعدد دیده و آنچه داشت صرف نموده، فایده‌ای نیافت بلکه بدتر می‌شد، | ۲۶ |
27 having heard about Jesus, came in the crowd behind, and touched his garment.
| چون خبرعیسی را بشنید، میان آن گروه از عقب وی آمده ردای او را لمس نمود، | ۲۷ |
28 For she said, If I touch even his garments, I shall be made well.
| زیرا گفته بود: «اگرلباس وی را هم لمس کنم، هرآینه شفا یابم.» | ۲۸ |
29 And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she perceived in her body that she was cured of her plague.
| در ساعت چشمه خون او خشک شده، در تن خود فهمید که از آن بلا صحت یافته است. | ۲۹ |
30 And Jesus immediately perceiving in himself that power had gone out from him, turned round in the crowed, and said, Who touched my garments?
| فی الفور عیسی از خود دانست که قوتی از اوصادر گشته. پس در آن جماعت روی برگردانیده، گفت: «کیست که لباس مرا لمس نمود؟» | ۳۰ |
31 And his disciples said to him, Thou seest the multitude pressing on thee, and dost thou say, Who touched me?
| شاگردانش بدو گفتند: «می‌بینی که مردم بر توازدحام می‌نمایند! و می‌گویی کیست که مرا لمس نمود؟!» | ۳۱ |
32 And he looked round to see her who had done this.
| پس به اطراف خود می‌نگریست تا آن زن را که این کار کرده، ببیند. | ۳۲ |
33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
| آن زن چون دانست که به وی چه واقع شده، ترسان و لرزان آمد و نزد او به روی در‌افتاده، حقیقت امر رابالتمام به وی باز‌گفت. | ۳۳ |
34 And he said to her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee well; go in peace, and be recovered from thy plague.
| او وی را گفت: «ای دختر، ایمانت تو را شفا داده است. به سلامتی بروو از بلای خویش رستگار باش.» | ۳۴ |
35 While he was yet speaking, there came from the house I of the ruler of the synagogue some who said, Thy daughter is dead; why dost thou trouble the Teacher any further?
| او هنوز سخن می‌گفت که بعضی از خانه رئیس کنیسه آمده، گفتند: «دخترت فوت شده؛ دیگر برای چه استاد را زحمت می‌دهی؟» | ۳۵ |
36 And Jesus, overhearing those words, saith to the ruler of the synagogue, Fear not; only believe.
| عیسی چون سخنی را که گفته بودند شنید، درساعت به رئیس کنیسه گفت: «مترس ایمان آور وبس!» | ۳۶ |
37 And he suffered no one to follow him except Peter and James, and John the brother of James.
| و جز پطرس و یعقوب و یوحنا برادریعقوب، هیچ‌کس را اجازت نداد که از عقب اوبیایند. | ۳۷ |
38 And they come to the house of the ruler of the synagogue; and he seeth a tumult, and people weeping and wailing greatly.
| پس چون به خانه رئیس کنیسه رسیدند، جمعی شوریده دید که گریه و نوحه بسیار می‌نمودند. | ۳۸ |
39 And going in, he saith to them, Why do ye make this confusion and weeping? The child is not dead, but is sleeping.
| پس داخل شده، بدیشان گفت: «چرا غوغا و گریه می‌کنید؟ دختر نمرده بلکه در خواب است.» | ۳۹ |
40 And they laughed him to scorn. But putting them all out, he taketh the father of the child, and the mother, and those who were with him, and entereth where the child was.
| ایشان بر وی سخریه کردند لیکن او همه را بیرون کرده، پدر و مادردختر را با رفیقان خویش برداشته، به‌جایی که دختر خوابیده بود، داخل شد. | ۴۰ |
41 And taking hold of the hand of the child, he saith to her, Talitha, kum; which is, when interpreted, Damsel, I say to thee, arise!
| پس دست دختر را گرفته، به وی گفت: «طلیتا قومی.» که معنی آن این است: «ای دختر، تو را می‌گویم برخیز.» | ۴۱ |
42 And immediately the damsel arose and walked; for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were greatly astonished.
| در ساعت دختر برخاسته، خرامید زیرا که دوازده ساله بود. ایشان بینهایت متعجب شدند. | ۴۲ |
43 And he charged them strictly that no one should know it, and bade that something should be given her to eat.
| پس ایشان را به تاکید بسیار فرمود: «کسی از این امر مطلع نشود.» و گفت تا خوراکی بدو دهند. | ۴۳ |
