1 And they came to the other side of the lake, into the country of the Gerasenes.

2 And when he had come out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
Yesuusi wogoluwappe wodhdhiya wode tuna ayyaanay oykkida issi uray duufoppe keyidi iyara gahettis.
3 who had his dwelling in the tombs; and not even with a chain could any one bind him any longer;
He uray duufuwan aqi pee7idi de7ees. Iya oonikka santhalaatan qachchanaw dandda7enna.
4 because he had often been bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been snapped asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces; and no one could master him;
I daro toho duthaninne santhalaatan qashettidi de7ees. Shin santhalaata duuserethees, duthaa mentherethees. Iya teqqanaw dandda7iya oonikka baawa.
5 and continually, night and day, in the tombs and in the mountains, he was crying out, and cutting himself, with stones.
I qammanne gallas he duufuwaninne dere bolla waasses, ba bollaaka shuchchan gaarees.
6 And seeing Jesus afar off, he ran and bowed down before him,
Yesuusa haahon be7ida wode woxxi bidi iya sinthan gulbbatis.
7 and cried out with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, do not torment me.
He uray ba qaala dhoqqu oothidi, “Ubbaafe Bolla Xoossaa Na7aw Yesuusa, nenanne tana aybe gathey? Tana dhayssona mela taani nena Xoossaa sunthan woossays” yaagis.
8 For he was saying to him, Unclean spirit, come out from the man.
I hessa giday Yesuusi iya, “La ha tuna ayyaanaw, ha addiyafe keya” yaagida gishossa.
9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he saith to him, Legion is my name; for we are many.
Yesuusi iyaakko, “Ne sunthay oonee?” yaagidi oychchis. I, “Nuuni daro gidiya gisho, ta sunthay Leegiyona” yaagis.
10 And he besought him much not to send them out of the country.
Tuna ayyaanati bantana he biittaafe kessi yeddonna mela Yesuusa minthidi woossidosona.
11 Now there was there, by the mountain, a great herd of swine feeding.
He deriya bolla daro guduntho wudey hamuttees.
12 And they besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
Tuna ayyaanati Yesuusakko, “Nuna hini guduntho wudiyakko yeddarkki, enttan bidi geloos” yaagidi woossidosona.
13 And he gave them leave. And the unclean spirits coming out, entered into the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep into the lake, about two thousand, and were drowned in the lake.
Yesuusi enttako, “Biite” yaagis. Yaatin tuna ayyaanati addiyafe keyidi gudunthotan gelidosona. Nam77u mukulu gidiya guduntho wudey aafo doonara dirggidi bidi abban gelidi mitettidosona.
14 And they that fed them fled, and told the news in the city and in the country. And they came to see what had been done.
Guduntho wudiya heemmeyssati baqati bidi hanidabaa katamaaninne gaxariyan odidosona. Yaatin asay hanidabaa be7anaw keyidosona.
15 And they come to Jesus, and see him who had been possessed by demons, sitting, clothed, and in his right mind, —him who had had the legion; and they were afraid.
Asay Yesuusakko yaa wode tuna ayyaanan oykettida uraa be7idosona. I ba wozanaakko simmidi, ma7o ma7idi, yan uttidayssa be7ida wode ubbay yayyidosona.
16 And they who saw it told them how it befell him that was possessed by the demons, and concerning the swine.
Hessa be7ida asati tuna ayyaanati oykkida uraa bollanne gudunthota bolla hanidabaa ubbaa asaas odidosona.
17 And they began to beseech him to depart from their borders.
Hessa gisho, asay bantta biittaafe Yesuusi baana mela woossidosona.
18 And when he was going on board the boat, he that had been possessed by the demons besought him that be might be with him.
Yesuusi wogoluwan geliya wode kase tuna ayyaanati oykkidi yeddida uray, Yesuusa kaallanaw iya woossis.
19 And he did not permit him, but said to him, Go to thy house to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and that he hath had compassion on thee.
Shin Yesuusi ixxidi iyaakko, “Ne soo simmada, Goday new ay mela gitabaa oothidakkonne new ay mela keehidakko ne soo asaas oda” yaagis.
20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him; and all wondered.
Uray bidi Tammu Katamata giyason yuuyidi, Yesuusi baw ay mela gitabaa oothidaakko odis. I odidayssa si7ida asa ubbay malaalettidosona.
21 And when Jesus had crossed again in the boat to the ether side, a great multitude gathered about him; and he was by the lake.
Yesuusi simmidi, wogoluwan gelidi, abbaa pinnidaappe guye daro asay abbaa gaxan iya yuushuwan shiiqidosona.
22 And there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and seeing him, he fell at his feet,
Iyaroosa giya Ayhude Woosa Keetha halaqatappe issoy, Yesuusa be7ida wode iyaakko yidi iya tohuwa bolla
23 and besought him much, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death; I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be saved and live.
kunddidi, “Ta na7iya harggada hayqqana hanawsu. Iya paxada de7ana mela yada ne kushiya I bolla wotharkkii” yaagidi Yesuusa minthidi woossis.
24 And he went with him; and a great multitude followed him, and pressed upon him.
Yesuusi Iyaroosara bis. I bishin daro asay iya kaallidi un77ethidosona.
25 And a woman, who had had an issue of blood twelve years,
Tammanne nam77u laythi I bollaafe suuthi goggiya issi maccasiya de7awusu.
26 and had undergone much at the hands of many physicians, and spent all that she had, and was not at all benefited, but rather grew worse,
Daro aakimeti iyo aakimidosona, shin iya paxa kaa7ettasu. Iya ba miishiya ubbaa wurssinkka iw haa iitisppe attin aykkoka maaddibeenna.
27 having heard about Jesus, came in the crowd behind, and touched his garment.
He maccasiya Yesuusabaa si7ada, asaa kanthada Yesuusa guyera yada iya ma7uwa bochchasu.
28 For she said, If I touch even his garments, I shall be made well.
Iya, “Taani hari attoshin iya ma7uwa bochchiyakko paxana” gada qoppasu.
29 And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she perceived in her body that she was cured of her plague.
Iippe goggiya suuthay sohuwara eqi aggis. Iya ba waayappe paxidayssa ba asatethan erasu.
30 And Jesus immediately perceiving in himself that power had gone out from him, turned round in the crowed, and said, Who touched my garments?
Yesuusi baappe wolqqi keyidayssa ba huu7en eridi, ellesidi daro asa giddon guye simmidi, “Ta ma7uwa bochchiday oonee?” yaagis.
31 And his disciples said to him, Thou seest the multitude pressing on thee, and dost thou say, Who touched me?
Iya tamaareti, “Asay nena sugeyssa be7ashe, ‘Woygada tana oone bochchiday yaagay?’” yaagidosona.
32 And he looked round to see her who had done this.
Yesuusi hessa ooni oothidaakko be7anaw yuushshi aathi xeellis.
33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
Shin maccasiya baw hanidabaa erada, yashshan kokkorashe yada Yesuusa sinthan gufannasu; qassi hanidabaa ubbaa tumaa iyaw odasu.
34 And he said to her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee well; go in peace, and be recovered from thy plague.
Yaanin, Yesuusi iikko, “Ta naatte, nena ne ammanoy pathis, saron ba, ne waayiyappeka paxa” yaagis.
35 While he was yet speaking, there came from the house I of the ruler of the synagogue some who said, Thy daughter is dead; why dost thou trouble the Teacher any further?
Yesuusi buroo hessa odishin, Ayhude Woosa Keetha halaqaa sooppe kiitettida asati yidi, “Ne na7iya hayqqasu, asttamaariya ays daaburissay?” yaagidosona.
36 And Jesus, overhearing those words, saith to the ruler of the synagogue, Fear not; only believe.
Shin Yesuusi entti geyssa si7idi, Ayhude Woosa Keetha halaqaakko, “Ammano xalaala ammanappe attin babbofa” yaagis.
37 And he suffered no one to follow him except Peter and James, and John the brother of James.
Yesuusi Phexiroosappe, Yayqoobappenne Yayqooba ishaa Yohaannisappe hari oonikka bana kaallonna mela diggis.
38 And they come to the house of the ruler of the synagogue; and he seeth a tumult, and people weeping and wailing greatly.
Entti Ayhude Woosa Keetha halaqaa soo gakkiya wode Yesuusi asay kaha dhayidi yeekkeyssanne zeeleleyssa be7is.
39 And going in, he saith to them, Why do ye make this confusion and weeping? The child is not dead, but is sleeping.
Gelidi asaakko, “Ays kaha dhayidi yeekketii? Na7iya dhiskkasuppe attin hayqqabuukku” yaagis.
40 And they laughed him to scorn. But putting them all out, he taketh the father of the child, and the mother, and those who were with him, and entereth where the child was.

41 And taking hold of the hand of the child, he saith to her, Talitha, kum; which is, when interpreted, Damsel, I say to thee, arise!
Yesuusi na7ee kushiya oykkidi, “Xaalita, quumi” (Guutha naatte, nena gays dendda) yaagis.
42 And immediately the damsel arose and walked; for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were greatly astonished.
Na7iya sohuwara dendda eqqada hamuttasu. Iya tammanne nam77u laytha na7a. Hessan asay daro malaalettidosona.
43 And he charged them strictly that no one should know it, and bade that something should be given her to eat.
Yesuusi hessa entti oodeskka odonna mela entta minthi kiittis. Entti iw miyabaa immana mela odis.
