Mark 5
1 And they came to the other side of the lake, into the country of the Gerasenes.
Und sie kamen jenseits des Meeres in die Gegend der Gadarener.
2 And when he had come out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
Und als Er aus dem Fahrzeug herauskam, begegnete Ihm alsbald aus den Grüften ein Mensch mit einem unreinen Geiste.
3 who had his dwelling in the tombs; and not even with a chain could any one bind him any longer;
Der hatte seinen Aufenthalt in den Grüften, und niemand konnte ihn binden, auch nicht mit Ketten;
4 because he had often been bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been snapped asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces; and no one could master him;
Denn er war oft mit Fußeisen und Ketten gebunden; und hatte die Ketten zerrissen und die Fußeisen zerrieben; und niemand vermochte ihn zu bändigen.
5 and continually, night and day, in the tombs and in the mountains, he was crying out, and cutting himself, with stones.
Und allezeit, Nacht und Tag, war er in den Grüften und auf den Bergen, schrie, und zerschlug sich mit Steinen.
6 And seeing Jesus afar off, he ran and bowed down before him,
Als er aber Jesus sah von weitem, lief er und fiel vor Ihm nieder,
7 and cried out with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, do not torment me.
Und schrie mit großer Stimme und sagte: Was habe ich mit Dir zu schaffen, Jesus, Du Sohn Gottes, des Allerhöchsten? Ich beschwöre dich bei Gott, daß Du mich nicht quälst.
8 For he was saying to him, Unclean spirit, come out from the man.
Denn Er sprach zu ihm: Fahre aus, unreiner Geist, von dem Menschen!
9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he saith to him, Legion is my name; for we are many.
Und Er fragte ihn: Was ist dein Name? Und er antwortete und sprach: Legion ist mein Name; denn unser sind viele.
10 And he besought him much not to send them out of the country.
Und er bat Ihn sehr, Er möchte sie nicht aus der Gegend aussenden.
11 Now there was there, by the mountain, a great herd of swine feeding.
Es war aber dort am Berg ein großer Trieb Schweine auf der Weide;
12 And they besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
Und alle die Dämonen baten Ihn und sagten: Schicke uns in die Schweine, daß wir in sie eingehen.
13 And he gave them leave. And the unclean spirits coming out, entered into the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep into the lake, about two thousand, and were drowned in the lake.
Und alsbald gestattete es ihnen Jesus. Und die unreinen Geister gingen aus und gingen ein in die Schweine, und der Trieb stürzte von der Anhöhe ins Meer und sie ertranken im Meer.
14 And they that fed them fled, and told the news in the city and in the country. And they came to see what had been done.
Die sie aber hüteten, flohen und sagten es an in der Stadt und auf den Feldern. Und sie kamen heraus, um zu sehen, was da geschehen war;
15 And they come to Jesus, and see him who had been possessed by demons, sitting, clothed, and in his right mind, —him who had had the legion; and they were afraid.
Und sie kamen zu Jesus und schauten den Besessenen, der die Legion gehabt hatte, da sitzen bekleidet und vernünftig, und sie fürchteten sich.
16 And they who saw it told them how it befell him that was possessed by the demons, and concerning the swine.
Und die es gesehen hatten, erzählten ihnen, wie es mit dem Besessenen und bei den Schweinen geschehen war.
17 And they began to beseech him to depart from their borders.
Und sie fingen an, Ihn zu bitten, Er möchte aus ihren Grenzen weggehen.
18 And when he was going on board the boat, he that had been possessed by the demons besought him that be might be with him.
Und da Er in das Schifflein einstieg, bat Ihn der Besessene, daß er dürfte bei Ihm sein.
19 And he did not permit him, but said to him, Go to thy house to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and that he hath had compassion on thee.
Jesus aber ließ es ihm nicht zu, sondern sprach zu ihm: Gehe hin in dein Haus zu den Deinen und sage ihnen an, was der Herr an dir getan, und daß Er Sich deiner erbarmt hat.
20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him; and all wondered.
Und Er ging hin und fing an zu verkündigen in den zehn Städten, was Jesus an ihm getan hatte, und alle verwunderten sich.
21 And when Jesus had crossed again in the boat to the ether side, a great multitude gathered about him; and he was by the lake.
Und als Jesus wieder in dem Schifflein ans jenseitige Ufer hinübergefahren war, versammelte sich viel Gedränge zu Ihm, und Er war an dem Meere.
22 And there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and seeing him, he fell at his feet,
Und siehe, da kommt einer von den Obersten der Synagoge mit Namen Jairus, und da er Ihn sieht, fällt er Ihm zu Füßen.
23 and besought him much, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death; I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be saved and live.
Und bat Ihn sehr und sprach: Mein Töchterlein ist in den letzten Zügen! Komm doch und lege die Hände auf sie, auf daß sie gerettet werde, und lebe.
24 And he went with him; and a great multitude followed him, and pressed upon him.
Und Er ging hin mit ihm; und vieles Gedränge folgte Ihm nach, und sie drängten Ihn.
25 And a woman, who had had an issue of blood twelve years,
Und ein Weib war da, die hatte zwölf Jahre den Blutfluß,
26 and had undergone much at the hands of many physicians, and spent all that she had, and was not at all benefited, but rather grew worse,
Und hatte viel von vielen Ärzten erlitten, und all das Ihre ausgegeben, ohne daß es ihr etwas genützt hätte; ja es war eher noch schlimmer mit ihr geworden.
27 having heard about Jesus, came in the crowd behind, and touched his garment.
Da sie von Jesus hörte, kam sie im Gedränge von hinten zu und berührte Sein Kleid;
28 For she said, If I touch even his garments, I shall be made well.
Denn sie sprach: Wenn ich nur Seine Kleider berühre, so werde ich gerettet.
29 And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she perceived in her body that she was cured of her plague.
Und alsbald vertrocknete der Brunn ihres Blutes, und sie erkannte an ihrem Leibe, daß sie von ihrer Plage gesund war.
30 And Jesus immediately perceiving in himself that power had gone out from him, turned round in the crowed, and said, Who touched my garments?
Und Jesus erkannte alsbald an Sich die Kraft, die von Ihm ausgegangen war, wandte Sich um im Gedränge und sprach: Wer hat Meine Kleider berührt?
31 And his disciples said to him, Thou seest the multitude pressing on thee, and dost thou say, Who touched me?
Und Seine Jünger sagten zu Ihm: Siehst Du nicht, wie das Gedränge auf Dich zudrängt, und Du sagst: Wer hat Mich berührt?
32 And he looked round to see her who had done this.
Er aber blickte um Sich, die zu sehen, die dies getan hatte.
33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
Das Weib aber, welches wußte, was an ihr geschehen war, fürchtete sich und zitterte, kam und fiel vor Ihm nieder und sagte Ihm die ganze Wahrheit.
34 And he said to her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee well; go in peace, and be recovered from thy plague.
Er aber sprach zu ihr: Tochter, dein Glaube hat dich gerettet! Gehe hin im Frieden und sei gesund von deiner Plage!
35 While he was yet speaking, there came from the house I of the ruler of the synagogue some who said, Thy daughter is dead; why dost thou trouble the Teacher any further?
Da Er noch redete, kamen etliche vom Obersten der Synagoge und sagten: Deine Tochter ist gestorben. Was bemühst du noch den Lehrer?
36 And Jesus, overhearing those words, saith to the ruler of the synagogue, Fear not; only believe.
Jesus aber hörte alsbald das Wort, das geredet worden, und sprach zu dem Obersten der Synagoge: Fürchte nicht, glaube nur!
37 And he suffered no one to follow him except Peter and James, and John the brother of James.
Und Er ließ niemand Ihm zugleich nachfolgen außer Petrus und Jakobus und Johannes, den Bruder des Jakobus.
38 And they come to the house of the ruler of the synagogue; and he seeth a tumult, and people weeping and wailing greatly.
Und Er kommt in das Haus des Obersten der Synagoge und schaut das Getümmel und die da viel weinten und klagten.
39 And going in, he saith to them, Why do ye make this confusion and weeping? The child is not dead, but is sleeping.
Und Er geht hinein und spricht zu ihnen: Was lärmet und weinet ihr? Das Kindlein ist nicht gestorben, sondern es schlummert.
40 And they laughed him to scorn. But putting them all out, he taketh the father of the child, and the mother, and those who were with him, and entereth where the child was.
Und sie verlachten Ihn. Er aber treibt sie alle hinaus, nimmt zu Sich den Vater des Kindleins und die Mutter und die mit Ihm waren, und tritt hinein, da das Kindlein lag;
41 And taking hold of the hand of the child, he saith to her, Talitha, kum; which is, when interpreted, Damsel, I say to thee, arise!
Und ergreift das Kindlein bei der Hand und spricht zu ihm: Talitha, kumi! das ist verdolmetscht: Mägdlein,
42 And immediately the damsel arose and walked; for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were greatly astonished.
Und alsbald stand das Mägdlein auf und wandelte; denn es war zwölf Jahre alt. Und sie entsetzten sich mit großem Entsetzen.
43 And he charged them strictly that no one should know it, and bade that something should be given her to eat.
Und Er verbot ihnen streng, daß niemand es erfahren solle, und sagte, sie sollten ihr zu essen geben.
