Mark 5
1 And they came to the other side of the lake, into the country of the Gerasenes.
Und sie kamen jenseits des Sees, ins Land der Gardarener.
2 And when he had come out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
Und als er aus dem Boot trat, lief ihm alsblad aus den Gräbern ein Mensch entgegen in einem unsaubern Geist,
3 who had his dwelling in the tombs; and not even with a chain could any one bind him any longer;
Der seine Wohnung in den Gräbern hatte; und niemand konnte ihn binden, auch nicht mit Ketten.
4 because he had often been bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been snapped asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces; and no one could master him;
Denn er war oft mit Fußschellen und Ketten gebunden gewesen, und die Ketten waren von ihm abgerissen worden, und die Fußschellen zerrieben, und niemand konnte ihn zähmen.
5 and continually, night and day, in the tombs and in the mountains, he was crying out, and cutting himself, with stones.
Und er war allezeit, Nacht und Tag bei den Gräbern und in dem Gebirge, schrie, und schlug sich mit Steinen.
6 And seeing Jesus afar off, he ran and bowed down before him,
Da er aber Jesus von ferne sah, lief er herzu, und viel vor ihm nieder,
7 and cried out with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, do not torment me.
Und schrie mit lauter Stimme und sprach: Was hast Du mit mir zu schaffen? Jesus, Sohn des Höchsten! Ich beschwöre dich bei Gott; daß Du mich nicht quälest.
8 For he was saying to him, Unclean spirit, come out from the man.
Denn er hatte ihm gesagt: Fahre aus, unsauberer Geist, von dem Menschen!
9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he saith to him, Legion is my name; for we are many.
Und er fragte ihn: Was ist dein Name? Und er sagt ihm: Legion ist mein Name, denn wir sind viele.
10 And he besought him much not to send them out of the country.
Und er bat ihn sehr, daß er sie nicht aus der Gegend triebe.
11 Now there was there, by the mountain, a great herd of swine feeding.
Es war aber daselbst am Berge eine große Herde Säue, welche weidete,
12 And they besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
Und es baten ihn die Dämonen, und sprachen: Sende uns in die Säue, daß wir in sie fahren.
13 And he gave them leave. And the unclean spirits coming out, entered into the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep into the lake, about two thousand, and were drowned in the lake.
Und alsbald erlaubte Jesus es ihnen. Und die unsaubern Geister fuhren aus, und fuhren in die Säue. Und die Herde stürzte sich den Abhang hinunter in den See, - es waren aber bei zweitausend, - und sie ertranken im See.
14 And they that fed them fled, and told the news in the city and in the country. And they came to see what had been done.
Die sie aber gehütet hatten, flohen, und berichteten es in der Stadt und auf dem Gefilde. Und sie gingen hinaus, um zu sehen, was da geschehen war,
15 And they come to Jesus, and see him who had been possessed by demons, sitting, clothed, and in his right mind, —him who had had the legion; and they were afraid.
Und kamen zu Jesus, und sahen den Besessenen, der die Legion gehabt hatte, dasitzend und bekleidet, und vernünftig, und fürchteten sich.
16 And they who saw it told them how it befell him that was possessed by the demons, and concerning the swine.
Und die es gesehen hatten, erzählten ihnen, wie es mit dem Besessenen gegangen war, und von den Säuen.
17 And they began to beseech him to depart from their borders.
Und sie fingen an ihn zu bitten, daß er von ihren Grenzen wegginge.
18 And when he was going on board the boat, he that had been possessed by the demons besought him that be might be with him.
Und da er in das Schiff trat, bittet ihn der besessen Gewesene, daß er bei ihm bleiben dürfe,
19 And he did not permit him, but said to him, Go to thy house to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and that he hath had compassion on thee.
Und er ließ es ihm nicht zu, sondern sagt ihm: Gehe hin in dein Haus, zu den Deinigen, und verkünde ihnen, was der Herr dir getan, und wie er sich deiner erbarmt hat.
20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him; and all wondered.
Und er ging hin, und fing an zu verkündigen im Zehnstädteland, was ihm Jesus getan hatte, und alle verwunderten sich.
21 And when Jesus had crossed again in the boat to the ether side, a great multitude gathered about him; and he was by the lake.
Und nachdem Jesus im Boot wiederum hinübergefahren war ans jenseitige Ufer, versammelte sich viel Volk zu ihm, und war dem See entlang.
22 And there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and seeing him, he fell at his feet,
Und siehe, es kommt einer, der Synagogenvorsteher, mit Namen Jairus, und als er ihn sieht, fällt er ihm zu Füßen,
23 and besought him much, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death; I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be saved and live.
Und bittet ihn sehr, und spricht: Mein Töchterlein liegt in den letzten Zügen; (ich bitte, ) daß du kommest und legest ihr die Hände auf, damit sie gerettet werde, und lebe.
24 And he went with him; and a great multitude followed him, and pressed upon him.
Und er ging hin mit ihm; und es folgte ihm viel Volk, und drängten ihn.
25 And a woman, who had had an issue of blood twelve years,
Und ein gewisses Weib, die mit Blutfluß behaftet war zwölf Jahre,
26 and had undergone much at the hands of many physicians, and spent all that she had, and was not at all benefited, but rather grew worse,
Und viel gelitten hatte von vielen Ärzten, und alles, was sie besaß, aufgewendet, und war doch nicht besser, sondern vielmehr schlimmer mit ihr geworden,
27 having heard about Jesus, came in the crowd behind, and touched his garment.
Als die von Jesus hörte, kam sie im Volkshaufen von hinten her, und rührte sein Kleid an,
28 For she said, If I touch even his garments, I shall be made well.
Denn sie sprach, wenn ich auch nur seine Kleider anrührte, so würde mir geholfen.
29 And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she perceived in her body that she was cured of her plague.
Und alsbald vertrocknete die Quelle ihres Blutes, und sie fühlte am Leibe, daß sie von ihrer Plage geheilt war.
30 And Jesus immediately perceiving in himself that power had gone out from him, turned round in the crowed, and said, Who touched my garments?
Und alsbald fühlte Jesus an ihm selbst die Kraft, die von ihm ausgegangen war, wandte sich um im Volkshaufen, und sprach: Wer hat meine Kleider angerührt?
31 And his disciples said to him, Thou seest the multitude pressing on thee, and dost thou say, Who touched me?
Und seine Jünger sagten ihm: Du siehst, wie der Haufe dich drängt, und sagst: Wer hat mich angerührt?
32 And he looked round to see her who had done this.
Und er blickte umher, zu sehen, die das getan hatte.
33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
Das Weib aber fürchtete sich und zitterte, und wohl wissend, was ihr geschehen war, kam sie, fiel vor ihm nieder, und sagte ihm die ganze Wahrheit.
34 And he said to her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee well; go in peace, and be recovered from thy plague.
Er aber sprach zu ihr: Tochter, dein Glaube hat dir geholfen; gehe hin im Frieden, und sei gesund von deiner Plage.
35 While he was yet speaking, there came from the house I of the ruler of the synagogue some who said, Thy daughter is dead; why dost thou trouble the Teacher any further?
Als er noch redete, kommen einige von dem Synagogenvorsteher, die sagen: Deine Tochter ist gestorben; was bemühst du noch den Lehrer?
36 And Jesus, overhearing those words, saith to the ruler of the synagogue, Fear not; only believe.
Jesus aber, sobald er das gesagt Wort hörte, sagte zu dem Synagogenvorsteher: Fürchte dich nicht, glaube nur!
37 And he suffered no one to follow him except Peter and James, and John the brother of James.
Und er ließ niemand ihm nachfolgen, außer Petrus und Jakobus und Johannes, den Bruder des Jakobus.
38 And they come to the house of the ruler of the synagogue; and he seeth a tumult, and people weeping and wailing greatly.
Und sie kommen in das Haus des Synagogenvorstehers, und er seiht das Getümmel und die Weinenden und sehr Heulenden.
39 And going in, he saith to them, Why do ye make this confusion and weeping? The child is not dead, but is sleeping.
Und er geht hinein, und spricht zu ihnen: Was macht ihr ein Getümmel, und weinet? Das Kind ist nicht gestorben, sondern schläft.
40 And they laughed him to scorn. But putting them all out, he taketh the father of the child, and the mother, and those who were with him, and entereth where the child was.
Und sie verlachten ihn. Er aber trieb sie alle hinaus und nimmt zu sich den Vater des Kindes, und die Mutter, und die mit ihm waren, und geht hinein, wo das Kind lag.
41 And taking hold of the hand of the child, he saith to her, Talitha, kum; which is, when interpreted, Damsel, I say to thee, arise!
Und er erfaßte die Hand des Kindes, und sagt zu ihm: Talihta kumi, das heißt übersetzt: Mägdelein, ich sage dir, stehe auf!
42 And immediately the damsel arose and walked; for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were greatly astonished.
Und alsbald stund das Mägdelein auf, und ging umher; denn es war zwölf Jahre alt. Und sie kamen außer sich vor großer Verwunderung.
43 And he charged them strictly that no one should know it, and bade that something should be given her to eat.
Und er verbot ihnen sehr, daß es niemand erfahre, und sagte, daß ihr zu essen gegeben werde.
