Mark 5
1 And they came to the other side of the lake, into the country of the Gerasenes.
Und sie kamen an das andere Ufer des Sees in das Land der Gerasener.
2 And when he had come out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
Und als er aus dem Schiffe ausstieg, trat ihm alsbald von den Gräbern her ein Mensch entgegen mit einem unreinen Geist,
3 who had his dwelling in the tombs; and not even with a chain could any one bind him any longer;
der seinen Aufenthalt unter den Gräbern hatte, und den niemand selbst mit Fesseln zu binden vermochte,
4 because he had often been bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been snapped asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces; and no one could master him;
denn oft war er mit Fuß- und Handfesseln gebunden worden, und hatte die Handfesseln zerrissen und die Fußfesseln zerbrochen, und Niemand vermochte ihn zu bändigen;
5 and continually, night and day, in the tombs and in the mountains, he was crying out, and cutting himself, with stones.
und allezeit bei Nacht und Tag war er unter den Gräbern und in den Bergen, und schrie und zerschlug sich selbst mit Steinen.
6 And seeing Jesus afar off, he ran and bowed down before him,
Und da er Jesus von weitem sah, lief er und warf sich vor ihm nieder,
7 and cried out with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, do not torment me.
und schrie laut: was willst du von mir, Jesus, du Sohn des höchsten Gottes? Ich beschwöre dich bei Gott, quäle mich nicht.
8 For he was saying to him, Unclean spirit, come out from the man.
Er sagte nämlich zu ihm: gehe aus, du unreiner Geist, von dem Menschen.
9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he saith to him, Legion is my name; for we are many.
Und er fragte ihn: wie heißt du? und er sagt zu ihm: Legion heiße ich, denn wir sind viele.
10 And he besought him much not to send them out of the country.
Und er bat ihn dringend, daß er sie nicht aus dem Lande schicke.
11 Now there was there, by the mountain, a great herd of swine feeding.
Es war aber daselbst am Berge eine große Schweineherde auf der Weide,
12 And they besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
und sie baten ihn: sende uns in die Schweine, daß wir in sie fahren.
13 And he gave them leave. And the unclean spirits coming out, entered into the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep into the lake, about two thousand, and were drowned in the lake.
Und er gestattete es ihnen, und die unreinen Geister fuhren aus und fuhren in die Schweine, und die Herde stürzte sich den Abhang hinab in den See, wohl zweitausend, und sie ertranken im See.
14 And they that fed them fled, and told the news in the city and in the country. And they came to see what had been done.
Und ihre Hirten flohen und berichteten es in der Stadt und in den Höfen, und sie kamen zu sehen, was geschehen war.
15 And they come to Jesus, and see him who had been possessed by demons, sitting, clothed, and in his right mind, —him who had had the legion; and they were afraid.
Und sie kommen zu Jesus und schauen den Dämonischen dasitzen, bekleidet und vernünftig, der die Legion gehabt hatte, und sie fürchteten sich.
16 And they who saw it told them how it befell him that was possessed by the demons, and concerning the swine.
Und die, welche zugesehen hatten, erzählten ihnen, was dem Dämonischen begegnet war, und das von den Schweinen.
17 And they began to beseech him to depart from their borders.
Und sie fiengen an ihn zu bitten, daß er ihr Gebiet verlasse.
18 And when he was going on board the boat, he that had been possessed by the demons besought him that be might be with him.
Und da er in das Schiff stieg, bat ihn, der dämonisch gewesen war, daß er ihn begleiten dürfe.
19 And he did not permit him, but said to him, Go to thy house to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and that he hath had compassion on thee.
Und er ließ ihn nicht zu, sondern sagt zu ihm: gehe heim zu den Deinen und verkünde ihnen, wie großes der Herr an dir gethan und sich deiner erbarmt hat.
20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him; and all wondered.
Und er gieng hin, und fieng an in der Dekapolis zu verkünden, wie großes ihm Jesus gethan, und alles verwunderte sich.
21 And when Jesus had crossed again in the boat to the ether side, a great multitude gathered about him; and he was by the lake.
Und als Jesus wieder zu Schiff auf das andere Ufer gekommen war, versammelte sich eine große Menge zu ihm, und er war am See.
22 And there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and seeing him, he fell at his feet,
Und es kommt einer von den Synagogenvorstehern, mit Namen Jairus, und wie er ihn erblickte, fällt er ihm zu Füßen
23 and besought him much, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death; I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be saved and live.
und bittet ihn mit vielen Worten: mein Töchterlein liegt in den letzten Zügen, komm doch und lege ihr die Hände auf, daß sie gerettet werde und lebe.
24 And he went with him; and a great multitude followed him, and pressed upon him.
Und er gieng mit ihm hin, und es folgte ihm eine große Menge, und sie drängten ihn.
25 And a woman, who had had an issue of blood twelve years,
Und eine Frau, die zwölf Jahre den Blutfluß hatte,
26 and had undergone much at the hands of many physicians, and spent all that she had, and was not at all benefited, but rather grew worse,
und vieles von vielen Aerzten erlitten und ihr ganzes Vermögen darangewendet hatte, ohne einen Nutzen zu haben - vielmehr war es nur schlechter mit ihr geworden -
27 having heard about Jesus, came in the crowd behind, and touched his garment.
da sie von Jesus gehört, kam sie unter der Menge und berührte ihn von hinten am Kleid;
28 For she said, If I touch even his garments, I shall be made well.
denn sie sagte: wenn ich nur seine Kleider anrühre, werde ich gesund werden.
29 And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she perceived in her body that she was cured of her plague.
Und alsbald vertrocknete ihre Blutquelle, und sie fühlte im Körper, daß sie von ihrer Plage geheilt war.
30 And Jesus immediately perceiving in himself that power had gone out from him, turned round in the crowed, and said, Who touched my garments?
Und alsbald nahm Jesus an sich wahr, daß die Kraft von ihm ausgegangen, und wendete sich um in der Menge und sagte: wer hat meine Kleider angerührt?
31 And his disciples said to him, Thou seest the multitude pressing on thee, and dost thou say, Who touched me?
Und seine Jünger sagten zu ihm: du siehst ja, wie das Volk dich drängt, und sagst: wer hat mich angerührt?
32 And he looked round to see her who had done this.
Und er sah sich um nach der, die es gethan.
33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
Die Frau aber, erschrocken und zitternd, im Bewußtsein dessen, was ihr widerfahren, kam und fiel vor ihm nieder und sagte ihm die volle Wahrheit.
34 And he said to her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee well; go in peace, and be recovered from thy plague.
Er aber sagte zu ihr: Tochter, dein Glaube hat dir geholfen; gehe hin im Frieden und sei genesen von deiner Plage.
35 While he was yet speaking, there came from the house I of the ruler of the synagogue some who said, Thy daughter is dead; why dost thou trouble the Teacher any further?
Wie er noch sprach, kommen sie von dem Synagogenvorsteher mit der Botschaft: deine Tochter ist gestorben. Was bemühst du noch den Meister?
36 And Jesus, overhearing those words, saith to the ruler of the synagogue, Fear not; only believe.
Jesus aber achtete nicht auf die Rede, und sagte zu dem Synagogenvorsteher: fürchte dich nicht, glaube nur.
37 And he suffered no one to follow him except Peter and James, and John the brother of James.
Und er ließ niemand mit sich hineingehen außer Petrus und Jakobus und Johannes, den Bruder des Jakobus.
38 And they come to the house of the ruler of the synagogue; and he seeth a tumult, and people weeping and wailing greatly.
Und sie kommen in das Haus des Synagogenvorstehers, und er vernimmt den Lärm und ihr Weinen und lautes Wehklagen.
39 And going in, he saith to them, Why do ye make this confusion and weeping? The child is not dead, but is sleeping.
Und er trat ein und sagt zu ihnen: was lärmt und weint ihr? das Kind ist nicht gestorben, sondern es schläft.
40 And they laughed him to scorn. But putting them all out, he taketh the father of the child, and the mother, and those who were with him, and entereth where the child was.
Und sie verlachten ihn. Er aber nachdem er alle herausgetrieben, nimmt den Vater des Kindes und die Mutter und seine Begleiter und geht hinein, wo das Kind war.
41 And taking hold of the hand of the child, he saith to her, Talitha, kum; which is, when interpreted, Damsel, I say to thee, arise!
Und er faßte das Kind an der Hand und sagt zu ihr: Talitha kumi, das heißt übersetzt: Mädchen, ich sage dir, wache auf,
42 And immediately the damsel arose and walked; for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were greatly astonished.
und alsbald stand das Mädchen auf und wandelte; denn sie war zwölf Jahre alt. Und alsbald wurden sie hoch bestürzt.
43 And he charged them strictly that no one should know it, and bade that something should be given her to eat.
Und er befahl ihnen dringend an, daß es niemand erfahren solle, und sagte, man solle ihr zu essen geben.
