< Mark 4 >
1 And again he began to teach by the shore of the lake; and there was gathered to him a very great multitude, so that he went into a boat, and sat down in it upon the lake; and all the multitude was by the lake on the land.
Jesu sì tún bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí ń kọ́ni létí Òkun, àwọn ìjọ ènìyàn tí ó yí i ká pọ̀ jọjọ tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí ó fi bọ́ sínú ọkọ̀ ojú omi, tí ó sì jókòó nínú rẹ̀ lẹ́gbẹ̀ẹ́ Òkun, nígbà tí àwọn ènìyàn sì wà ní ilẹ̀ létí Òkun.
2 And he taught them many things in parables, and said to them in his teaching,
Ó bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí í fi òwe bá wọn sọ̀rọ̀ nínú ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ̀ pé,
3 Hearken: Behold, a sower went forth to sow.
“Ẹ fi etí sílẹ̀! Ní ọjọ́ kan, afúnrúgbìn kan jáde lọ láti lọ fúnrúgbìn rẹ̀.
4 And it came to pass, as he sowed some seeds fell by the way-side; and the birds came and devoured them.
Bí ó ti ń fúnrúgbìn, díẹ̀ bọ́ sí ẹ̀bá ọ̀nà, àwọn ẹyẹ sì wá, wọ́n sì ṣà á jẹ.
5 And others fell on rocky ground, where they had not much earth; and they sprung up immediately, because they had no depth of earth.
Díẹ̀ bọ́ sórí ilẹ̀ àpáta, níbi tí erùpẹ̀ ko sí púpọ̀. Láìpẹ́ ọjọ́, ó hu jáde.
6 But when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí oòrùn mú gangan, ó jóná, nítorí tí kò ní gbòǹgbò, ó gbẹ.
7 And others fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up, and choked them, and they yielded no fruit.
Àwọn irúgbìn mìíràn sì bọ́ sáàrín ẹ̀gún, nígbà tí ẹ̀gún sì dàgbàsókè, ó fún wọn pa, tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí àwọn irúgbìn náà kò le so èso.
8 And others fell on good ground, and shooting up and growing yielded fruit; and bore as much as thirty, and sixty, and a hundred fold.
Ṣùgbọ́n òmíràn bọ́ sí ilẹ̀ ọlọ́ràá, o sì so èso lọ́pọ̀lọ́pọ̀, òmíràn ọgbọọgbọ̀n, òmíràn ọgọọgọ́ta, àti òmíràn ọgọọgọ́rùn-ún.”
9 And he said, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Jesu sì wí pé, “Ẹni tí ó bá ní etí láti fi gbọ́, kí ó gbọ́.”
10 And when he was in private, they who were about him, with the twelve, asked him about the parables.
Nígbà tí ó ku òun nìkan pẹ̀lú àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn méjìlá àti àwọn mìíràn, wọ́n bi í léèrè wí pé, “Kí ni ìtumọ̀ òwe rẹ̀?”
11 And he said to them, To you hath been given the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to them, who are without, all things are done in parables; t
Ó sì dá wọn lóhùn pé, “Ẹ̀yin ni a gbà láààyè láti mọ ohun ìjìnlẹ̀ nípa ìjọba Ọlọ́run. Èyí tí ó pamọ́ sí àwọn tí ó wà lẹ́yìn agbo ìjọba náà.
12 hat seeing they may see, and not perceive, and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest they should turn, and be forgiven.
Bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ wí pé, “‘wọn yóò rí i, wọn yóò sì gbọ́, kì yóò yé wọn, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni wọn kì yóò sì yípadà sí Ọlọ́run. Tàbí kí a dárí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ jì wọ́n!’”
13 And he saith to them, Know ye not this parable? and how will ye know all the parables?
Ṣùgbọ́n Jesu wí fún wọn pé, “Bí òwe tí ó rọrùn yìí kò bá yé e yín? Báwo ni ẹ̀yin yóò ṣe mọ ìtumọ̀ àwọn mìíràn tí mo ń sọ fún un yín?
14 The sower soweth the word.
Afúnrúgbìn ń fúnrúgbìn ọ̀rọ̀ náà.
15 And these are they by the wayside, those where the word is sown, and when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in them.
Àwọn èso tó bọ́ sí ojú ọ̀nà, ni àwọn ọlọ́kàn líle tí wọ́n gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọ́run, lójúkan náà èṣù wá ó sì mú kí wọn gbàgbé ohun tí wọ́n ti gbọ́.
16 And these in like manner are they that are sown on the rocky places, those, who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with joy,
Bákan náà, àwọn tí ó bọ́ sórí àpáta, ni àwọn ènìyàn tí wọ́n fi ayọ̀ gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọ́run.
17 and have no root in themselves, but endure only for a time; then, when affliction or persecution ariseth on account of the word, they immediately fall away.
Ṣùgbọ́n kò ni gbòǹgbò tí ó jinlẹ̀ ní ọkàn wọn. Ṣùgbọ́n wọ́n á wà fún ìgbà díẹ̀, lẹ́yìn náà nígbà ti wàhálà tàbí inúnibíni bá dìde nítorí ọ̀rọ̀ náà, lójúkan náà, wọ́n á kọsẹ̀.
18 And others are they that are sown among the thorns; these are they who hear the word,
Àwọn tí ó bọ́ sáàrín ẹ̀gún ni àwọn tí ó gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ náà, tí wọn sì gbà á.
19 but the cares of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. (aiōn )
Ṣùgbọ́n láìpẹ́ jọjọ, àwọn adùn ayé àti inú dídùn, ọrọ̀ àti ìjàkadì fún àṣeyọrí àti ìfẹ́ àwọn ohun mèremère ayé, gba ọkàn wọn, wọ́n sì fún ọ̀rọ̀ náà pa ní ọkàn wọn. Ọ̀rọ̀ náà sì jẹ́ aláìléso. (aiōn )
20 And these are they who are sown on the good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it; and bear fruit, thirty, sixty, and a hundred fold.
Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn tí ó bọ́ sí ilẹ̀ ọlọ́ràá, ní àwọn tí ó gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọ́run tí wọ́n sì gbà á lóòtítọ́, wọ́n sì mú èso púpọ̀ jáde fún Ọlọ́run ní ọgbọọgbọ̀n, ọgọọgọ́ta, àti òmíràn ọgọọgọ́rùn-ún, gẹ́gẹ́ bí a ti gbìn ín sí ọkàn wọn.”
21 And he said to them, Is a lamp brought to be put under the bushel, or under the bed, and not to be set on the lamp-stand?
Ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “A ha lè gbé fìtílà wá láti fi sábẹ́ òsùwọ̀n tàbí sábẹ́ àkéte? Rárá o, ki a ṣe pe a o gbé e ka orí ọ̀pá fìtílà?
22 For there is nothing secret, unless to be made known; nor was any thing hidden, but that it should come to light.
Gbogbo ohun tí ó pamọ́ nísinsin yìí yóò hàn ní gbangba ní ọjọ́ kan, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kò sí ohun tí ó wà ní ìkọ̀kọ̀, bí kò ṣe pé kí ó le yọ sí gbangba.
23 If any one hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Bí ẹnikẹ́ni bá ní etí láti fi gbọ́, kí ó gbọ́.”
24 And he said to them, Take heed what ye hear. With what measure ye mete, it will be measured to you, and more will be added to you.
Ó sì tún tẹ̀síwájú pé, “Ẹ máa kíyèsi ohun tí ẹ bà gbọ́ dáradára, nítorí òsùwọ̀n tí ẹ̀yin bá fi wọ́n náà ni a ó fi wọ́n fún un yín àti jù bẹ́ẹ̀ lọ.
25 For he that hath, to him will be given; and he that hath not, from him will be taken away even what he hath.
Nítorí ẹni tí ó bá ní, òun ni a ó tún fi fún sí i àti lọ́wọ́ ẹni tí kò bá ní, ni a ó ti gba èyí náà tí ó ní.”
26 And he said, Thus is the kingdom of God, as when a man has cast seed upon the ground,
Ó sì tún sọ èyí pé, “Èyí ni a lè fi ìjọba Ọlọ́run wé. Ọkùnrin kan ń fúnrúgbìn sí ilẹ̀.
27 and sleeps and rises night and day, and the seed springs and grows up, he knows not how.
Lóru àti ní ọ̀sán, bóyá ó sùn tàbí ó dìde, irúgbìn náà hu jáde, ó sì dàgbà, òun kò sì mọ̀ bí ó ti ṣẹlẹ̀.
28 For the earth brings forth fruit of itself, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.
Nítorí tí ilẹ̀ kọ́kọ́ hù èso jáde fún ara rẹ̀, ó mú èéhù ewé jáde, èyí tí ó tẹ̀lé e ní orí ọkà, ní ìparí, ọkà náà gbó.
29 But when the fruit puts itself forth, immediately he sends out the sickle, because the harvest is come.
Nígbà tí èso bá gbó tán, lẹ́sẹ̀kẹsẹ̀, òun a tẹ dòjé bọ inú ọkà náà, ó sì kórè rẹ̀.”
30 And he said, To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? or under what comparison shall we set it forth?
Jesu sì tún wí pé, “Kí ni kí èmi fi ìjọba Ọlọ́run wé? Òwe wo ni kí èmi fi ṣe àkàwé rẹ̀?
31 It is like a grain of mustard, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that are in the earth;
Ó dàbí èso hóró musitadi kan, lóòótọ́, ó jọ ọ̀kan nínú àwọn èso tí ó kéré jùlọ ti a gbìn sínú ilẹ̀.
32 and when it is sown, it grows up, and becomes greater than all the herbs, and puts forth great branches, so that the birds of the air can lodge under its shade.
Síbẹ̀, nígbà tí a gbìn ín, ó dàgbàsókè, ó gbilẹ̀, ó sì di títóbi ju gbogbo ewéko inú ọgbà yòókù lọ. Ó sì yọ ẹ̀ka ńlá níbi tí àwọn ẹyẹ ọ̀run lè kọ́ ìtẹ́ wọn sí, kí wọn sì rí ìdáàbòbò.”
33 And with many such parables he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear.
Òun lo ọ̀pọ̀ irú òwe wọ̀nyí láti fi kọ́ àwọn ènìyàn, gẹ́gẹ́ bí wọ́n bá ti ń fẹ́ láti ní òye tó.
34 But without a parable he did not speak to them; but in private he explained all things to his own disciples.
Kìkì òwe ni Jesu fi ń kọ́ àwọn ènìyàn ní ẹ̀kọ́ ìta gbangba rẹ̀. Ṣùgbọ́n lẹ́yìn èyí, nígbà tí ó bá sì wà pẹ̀lú àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀, òun a sì sọ ìtumọ̀ ohun gbogbo.
35 And on the same day, when the evening was come, he saith to them, Let us pass over to the other side.
Nígbà tí alẹ́ lẹ́, Jesu wí fún àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ pé, “Ẹ jẹ́ kí a rékọjá sí apá kejì.”
36 And leaving the multitude, they take him with them, as he was, in the boat; and there were also other boats with him.
Nígbà tí wọn ti tú ìjọ ká, wọ́n sì gbà á sínú ọkọ̀ ojú omi gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti wà. Àwọn ọkọ̀ ojú omi kékeré mìíràn sì wà lọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀.
37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves heat into the boat, so that it was already filling.
Ìjì líle ńlá kan sì dìde, omi sì ń bù sínú ọkọ̀, tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí ọkọ̀ fi bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí í kún fún omi, ó sì fẹ́rẹ rì.
38 And he was in the stern, asleep on the pillow; and they awake him, and say to him, Teacher, carest thou not that we are perishing?
Jesu ti sùn lọ lẹ́yìn ọkọ̀, ó gbé orí lé ìrọ̀rí. Wọ́n sì jí i lóhùn rara wí pé, “Olùkọ́ni, tàbí ìwọ kò tilẹ̀ bìkítà pé gbogbo wa fẹ́ rì?”
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said to the waves, Peace! be still! And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Ó dìde, ó bá ìjì líle náà wí, ó sì wí fún òkun pé, “Dákẹ́! Jẹ́ẹ́!” Ìjì náà sì dá, ìparọ́rọ́ ńlá sì wà.
40 And he said to them, Why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have not faith?
Lẹ́yìn náà, ó béèrè lọ́wọ́ àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ pé, “Èéṣe tí ẹ̀yin fi ń ṣojo bẹ́ẹ̀? Tàbí ẹ̀yin kò ì tí ì ní ìgbàgbọ́ síbẹ̀síbẹ̀?”
41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, Who then is this, that even the wind and the waves obey him?
Ẹ̀rù bà wọ́n gidigidi, wọ́n sì wí fún ara wọn pé, “Irú ọkùnrin wo ni èyí, tí ìjì àti Òkun ń gbọ́ tirẹ̀!”
