Mark 4
1 And again he began to teach by the shore of the lake; and there was gathered to him a very great multitude, so that he went into a boat, and sat down in it upon the lake; and all the multitude was by the lake on the land.
అనన్తరం స సముద్రతటే పునరుపదేష్టుం ప్రారేభే, తతస్తత్ర బహుజనానాం సమాగమాత్ స సాగరోపరి నౌకామారుహ్య సముపవిష్టః; సర్వ్వే లోకాః సముద్రకూలే తస్థుః|
2 And he taught them many things in parables, and said to them in his teaching,
తదా స దృష్టాన్తకథాభి ర్బహూపదిష్టవాన్ ఉపదిశంశ్చ కథితవాన్,
3 Hearken: Behold, a sower went forth to sow.
అవధానం కురుత, ఏకో బీజవప్తా బీజాని వప్తుం గతః;
4 And it came to pass, as he sowed some seeds fell by the way-side; and the birds came and devoured them.
వపనకాలే కియన్తి బీజాని మార్గపాశ్వే పతితాని, తత ఆకాశీయపక్షిణ ఏత్య తాని చఖాదుః|
5 And others fell on rocky ground, where they had not much earth; and they sprung up immediately, because they had no depth of earth.
కియన్తి బీజాని స్వల్పమృత్తికావత్పాషాణభూమౌ పతితాని తాని మృదోల్పత్వాత్ శీఘ్రమఙ్కురితాని;
6 But when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
కిన్తూదితే సూర్య్యే దగ్ధాని తథా మూలానో నాధోగతత్వాత్ శుష్కాణి చ|
7 And others fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up, and choked them, and they yielded no fruit.
కియన్తి బీజాని కణ్టకివనమధ్యే పతితాని తతః కణ్టకాని సంవృద్వ్య తాని జగ్రసుస్తాని న చ ఫలితాని|
8 And others fell on good ground, and shooting up and growing yielded fruit; and bore as much as thirty, and sixty, and a hundred fold.
తథా కియన్తి బీజాన్యుత్తమభూమౌ పతితాని తాని సంవృద్వ్య ఫలాన్యుత్పాదితాని కియన్తి బీజాని త్రింశద్గుణాని కియన్తి షష్టిగుణాని కియన్తి శతగుణాని ఫలాని ఫలితవన్తి|
9 And he said, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
అథ స తానవదత్ యస్య శ్రోతుం కర్ణౌ స్తః స శృణోతు|
10 And when he was in private, they who were about him, with the twelve, asked him about the parables.
తదనన్తరం నిర్జనసమయే తత్సఙ్గినో ద్వాదశశిష్యాశ్చ తం తద్దృష్టాన్తవాక్యస్యార్థం పప్రచ్ఛుః|
11 And he said to them, To you hath been given the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to them, who are without, all things are done in parables; t
తదా స తానుదితవాన్ ఈశ్వరరాజ్యస్య నిగూఢవాక్యం బోద్ధుం యుష్మాకమధికారోఽస్తి;
12 hat seeing they may see, and not perceive, and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest they should turn, and be forgiven.
కిన్తు యే వహిర్భూతాః "తే పశ్యన్తః పశ్యన్తి కిన్తు న జానన్తి, శృణ్వన్తః శృణ్వన్తి కిన్తు న బుధ్యన్తే, చేత్తై ర్మనఃసు కదాపి పరివర్త్తితేషు తేషాం పాపాన్యమోచయిష్యన్త," అతోహేతోస్తాన్ ప్రతి దృష్టాన్తైరేవ తాని మయా కథితాని|
13 And he saith to them, Know ye not this parable? and how will ye know all the parables?
అథ స కథితవాన్ యూయం కిమేతద్ దృష్టాన్తవాక్యం న బుధ్యధ్వే? తర్హి కథం సర్వ్వాన్ దృష్టాన్తాన భోత్స్యధ్వే?
14 The sower soweth the word.
బీజవప్తా వాక్యరూపాణి బీజాని వపతి;
15 And these are they by the wayside, those where the word is sown, and when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in them.
తత్ర యే యే లోకా వాక్యం శృణ్వన్తి, కిన్తు శ్రుతమాత్రాత్ శైతాన్ శీఘ్రమాగత్య తేషాం మనఃసూప్తాని తాని వాక్యరూపాణి బీజాన్యపనయతి తఏవ ఉప్తబీజమార్గపార్శ్వేస్వరూపాః|
16 And these in like manner are they that are sown on the rocky places, those, who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with joy,
యే జనా వాక్యం శ్రుత్వా సహసా పరమానన్దేన గృహ్లన్తి, కిన్తు హృది స్థైర్య్యాభావాత్ కిఞ్చిత్ కాలమాత్రం తిష్ఠన్తి తత్పశ్చాత్ తద్వాక్యహేతోః
17 and have no root in themselves, but endure only for a time; then, when affliction or persecution ariseth on account of the word, they immediately fall away.
కుత్రచిత్ క్లేశే ఉపద్రవే వా సముపస్థితే తదైవ విఘ్నం ప్రాప్నువన్తి తఏవ ఉప్తబీజపాషాణభూమిస్వరూపాః|
18 And others are they that are sown among the thorns; these are they who hear the word,
యే జనాః కథాం శృణ్వన్తి కిన్తు సాంసారికీ చిన్తా ధనభ్రాన్తి ర్విషయలోభశ్చ ఏతే సర్వ్వే ఉపస్థాయ తాం కథాం గ్రసన్తి తతః మా విఫలా భవతి (aiōn g165)
19 but the cares of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
తఏవ ఉప్తబీజసకణ్టకభూమిస్వరూపాః|
20 And these are they who are sown on the good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it; and bear fruit, thirty, sixty, and a hundred fold.
యే జనా వాక్యం శ్రుత్వా గృహ్లన్తి తేషాం కస్య వా త్రింశద్గుణాని కస్య వా షష్టిగుణాని కస్య వా శతగుణాని ఫలాని భవన్తి తఏవ ఉప్తబీజోర్వ్వరభూమిస్వరూపాః|
21 And he said to them, Is a lamp brought to be put under the bushel, or under the bed, and not to be set on the lamp-stand?
తదా సోఽపరమపి కథితవాన్ కోపి జనో దీపాధారం పరిత్యజ్య ద్రోణస్యాధః ఖట్వాయా అధే వా స్థాపయితుం దీపమానయతి కిం?
22 For there is nothing secret, unless to be made known; nor was any thing hidden, but that it should come to light.
అతోహేతో ర్యన్న ప్రకాశయిష్యతే తాదృగ్ లుక్కాయితం కిమపి వస్తు నాస్తి; యద్ వ్యక్తం న భవిష్యతి తాదృశం గుప్తం కిమపి వస్తు నాస్తి|
23 If any one hath ears to hear, let him hear.
యస్య శ్రోతుం కర్ణౌ స్తః స శృణోతు|
24 And he said to them, Take heed what ye hear. With what measure ye mete, it will be measured to you, and more will be added to you.
అపరమపి కథితవాన్ యూయం యద్ యద్ వాక్యం శృణుథ తత్ర సావధానా భవత, యతో యూయం యేన పరిమాణేన పరిమాథ తేనైవ పరిమాణేన యుష్మదర్థమపి పరిమాస్యతే; శ్రోతారో యూయం యుష్మభ్యమధికం దాస్యతే|
25 For he that hath, to him will be given; and he that hath not, from him will be taken away even what he hath.
యస్యాశ్రయే వర్ద్ధతే తస్మై అపరమపి దాస్యతే, కిన్తు యస్యాశ్రయే న వర్ద్ధతే తస్య యత్ కిఞ్చిదస్తి తదపి తస్మాన్ నేష్యతే|
26 And he said, Thus is the kingdom of God, as when a man has cast seed upon the ground,
అనన్తరం స కథితవాన్ ఏకో లోకః క్షేత్రే బీజాన్యుప్త్వా
27 and sleeps and rises night and day, and the seed springs and grows up, he knows not how.
జాగరణనిద్రాభ్యాం దివానిశం గమయతి, పరన్తు తద్వీజం తస్యాజ్ఞాతరూపేణాఙ్కురయతి వర్ద్ధతే చ;
28 For the earth brings forth fruit of itself, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.
యతోహేతోః ప్రథమతః పత్రాణి తతః పరం కణిశాని తత్పశ్చాత్ కణిశపూర్ణాని శస్యాని భూమిః స్వయముత్పాదయతి;
29 But when the fruit puts itself forth, immediately he sends out the sickle, because the harvest is come.
కిన్తు ఫలేషు పక్కేషు శస్యచ్ఛేదనకాలం జ్ఞాత్వా స తత్క్షణం శస్యాని ఛినత్తి, అనేన తుల్యమీశ్వరరాజ్యం|
30 And he said, To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? or under what comparison shall we set it forth?
పునః సోఽకథయద్ ఈశ్వరరాజ్యం కేన సమం? కేన వస్తునా సహ వా తదుపమాస్యామి?
31 It is like a grain of mustard, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that are in the earth;
తత్ సర్షపైకేన తుల్యం యతో మృది వపనకాలే సర్షపబీజం సర్వ్వపృథివీస్థబీజాత్ క్షుద్రం
32 and when it is sown, it grows up, and becomes greater than all the herbs, and puts forth great branches, so that the birds of the air can lodge under its shade.
కిన్తు వపనాత్ పరమ్ అఙ్కురయిత్వా సర్వ్వశాకాద్ బృహద్ భవతి, తస్య బృహత్యః శాఖాశ్చ జాయన్తే తతస్తచ్ఛాయాం పక్షిణ ఆశ్రయన్తే|
33 And with many such parables he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear.
ఇత్థం తేషాం బోధానురూపం సోఽనేకదృష్టాన్తైస్తానుపదిష్టవాన్,
34 But without a parable he did not speak to them; but in private he explained all things to his own disciples.
దృష్టాన్తం వినా కామపి కథాం తేభ్యో న కథితవాన్ పశ్చాన్ నిర్జనే స శిష్యాన్ సర్వ్వదృష్టాన్తార్థం బోధితవాన్|
35 And on the same day, when the evening was come, he saith to them, Let us pass over to the other side.
తద్దినస్య సన్ధ్యాయాం స తేభ్యోఽకథయద్ ఆగచ్ఛత వయం పారం యామ|
36 And leaving the multitude, they take him with them, as he was, in the boat; and there were also other boats with him.
తదా తే లోకాన్ విసృజ్య తమవిలమ్బం గృహీత్వా నౌకయా ప్రతస్థిరే; అపరా అపి నావస్తయా సహ స్థితాః|
37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves heat into the boat, so that it was already filling.
తతః పరం మహాఝఞ్భ్శగమాత్ నౌ ర్దోలాయమానా తరఙ్గేణ జలైః పూర్ణాభవచ్చ|
38 And he was in the stern, asleep on the pillow; and they awake him, and say to him, Teacher, carest thou not that we are perishing?
తదా స నౌకాచశ్చాద్భాగే ఉపధానే శిరో నిధాయ నిద్రిత ఆసీత్ తతస్తే తం జాగరయిత్వా జగదుః, హే ప్రభో, అస్మాకం ప్రాణా యాన్తి కిమత్ర భవతశ్చిన్తా నాస్తి?
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said to the waves, Peace! be still! And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
తదా స ఉత్థాయ వాయుం తర్జితవాన్ సముద్రఞ్చోక్తవాన్ శాన్తః సుస్థిరశ్చ భవ; తతో వాయౌ నివృత్తేఽబ్ధిర్నిస్తరఙ్గోభూత్|
40 And he said to them, Why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have not faith?
తదా స తానువాచ యూయం కుత ఏతాదృక్శఙ్కాకులా భవత? కిం వో విశ్వాసో నాస్తి?
41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, Who then is this, that even the wind and the waves obey him?
తస్మాత్తేఽతీవభీతాః పరస్పరం వక్తుమారేభిరే, అహో వాయుః సిన్ధుశ్చాస్య నిదేశగ్రాహిణౌ కీదృగయం మనుజః|
