Mark 3
1 And he entered again into a synagogue; and there was a man there having a withered hand;
İsa yine havraya girdi. Orada eli sakat bir adam vardı.
2 and they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath, that they might accuse him.
Bazıları İsa'yı suçlamak amacıyla, Şabat Günü hastayı iyileştirecek mi diye O'nu gözlüyorlardı.
3 And he saith to the man having the withered hand, Stand up in the midst.
İsa, eli sakat adama, “Kalk, öne çık!” dedi.
4 And he saith to them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they were silent.
Sonra havradakilere, “Kutsal Yasa'ya göre Şabat Günü iyilik yapmak mı doğru, kötülük yapmak mı? Can kurtarmak mı doğru, can almak mı?” diye sordu. Onlardan ses çıkmadı.
5 And looking round on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith to the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth; and his hand was restored.
İsa, çevresindekilere öfkeyle baktı. Yüreklerinin duygusuzluğu O'nu kederlendirmişti. Adama, “Elini uzat!” dedi. Adam elini uzattı, eli yine sapasağlam oluverdi.
6 And the Pharisees went forth, and immediately had a consultation with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
Bunun üzerine Ferisiler dışarı çıktılar, İsa'yı yok etmek için Hirodes yanlılarıyla hemen görüşmeye başladılar.
7 And Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake; and a great multitude from Galilee, and from Judaea followed;
İsa, öğrencileriyle birlikte göl kıyısına çekildi. Celile'den büyük bir kalabalık O'nun ardından geldi. Ayrıca, bütün yaptıklarını duyan büyük kalabalıklar Yahudiye'den, Yeruşalim'den, İdumeya'dan, Şeria Irmağı'nın karşı yakasından, Sur ve Sayda bölgelerinden kendisine akın etti.
8 and from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond the Jordan, and the people about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they heard what great things he was doing, came to him.
9 And he gave direction to his disciples, that a boat should be in readiness for him because of the multitude, that they might not throng him.
İsa, kalabalığın arasında sıkışıp kalmamak için öğrencilerine bir kayık hazır bulundurmalarını söyledi.
10 For he had healed many, so that as many as had plagues pressed upon him to touch him.
Birçoklarını iyileştirmiş olduğundan, çeşitli hastalıklara yakalananlar O'na dokunmak için üzerine üşüşüyordu.
11 And the unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried out, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
Kötü ruhlar O'nu görünce ayaklarına kapanıyor, “Sen Tanrı'nın Oğlu'sun!” diye bağırıyorlardı.
12 And he strictly charged them that they should not make him known.
Ama İsa, kim olduğunu açıklamamaları için onları sıkı sıkıya uyardı.
13 And he goeth up into the mountain, and calleth to him whom he would; and they came to him.
İsa, dağa çıkarak istediği kişileri yanına çağırdı. Onlar da yanına gittiler.
14 And he appointed twelve to be with him, and whom he might send forth to preach,
İsa bunlardan on iki kişiyi yanında bulundurmak, Tanrı sözünü duyurmaya göndermek ve cinleri kovmaya yetkili kılmak üzere seçti. Seçtiği bu on iki kişi şunlardır: Petrus adını verdiği Simun, Beni-Regeş, yani Gökgürültüsü Oğulları adını verdiği Zebedi'nin oğulları Yakup ve Yuhanna, Andreas, Filipus, Bartalmay, Matta, Tomas, Alfay oğlu Yakup, Taday, Yurtsever Simun ve İsa'ya ihanet eden Yahuda İskariot.
15 and to have authority to cast out demons. And he appointed the twelve,
16 and Simon he surnamed Peter;
17 and James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, that is, Sons of thunder;
18 and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon of Cana,
19 and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him. And he cometh into the house.
20 And again a multitude cometh together, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
İsa bundan sonra eve gitti. Yine öyle büyük bir kalabalık toplandı ki, İsa'yla öğrencileri yemek bile yiyemediler.
21 And his relations hearing of it went out to lay hold of him; for they said, He is beside himself.
Yakınları bunu duyunca, “Aklını kaçırmış” diyerek O'nu almaya geldiler.
22 And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebul; and, He casteth out the demons through the prince of the demons.
Yeruşalim'den gelen din bilginleri ise, “Baalzevul O'nun içine girmiş” ve “Cinleri, cinlerin önderinin gücüyle kovuyor” diyorlardı.
23 And calling them to him, he said to them in parables: How can Satan cast out Satan?
Bunun üzerine İsa din bilginlerini yanına çağırıp onlara benzetmelerle seslendi. “Şeytan, Şeytan'ı nasıl kovabilir?” dedi.
24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand;
“Bir ülke kendi içinde bölünmüşse, ayakta kalamaz.
25 and if a house be divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand;
Bir ev kendi içinde bölünmüşse, ayakta kalamaz.
26 and if Satan rise up against himself, he is divided, and cannot stand, but hath an end.
Şeytan da kendine karşı gelip kendi içinde bölünmüşse, artık ayakta kalamaz; sonu gelmiş demektir.
27 Moreover, no one can enter into a strong man's house, and plunder his goods, unless he first bind the strong man; and then he will plunder his house.
Hiç kimse güçlü adamın evine girip malını çalamaz. Ancak onu bağladıktan sonra evini soyabilir.
28 Truly do I say to you, All sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and the blasphemies wherewith they shall blaspheme;
Size doğrusunu söyleyeyim, insanların işlediği her günah, ettiği her küfür bağışlanacak,
30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
İsa bu sözleri, “O'nda kötü ruh var” dedikleri için söyledi.
31 And his mother and his brothers came; and, standing without, sent to him, to call him.
Daha sonra İsa'nın annesiyle kardeşleri geldi. Dışarıda durdular, haber gönderip O'nu çağırdılar.
32 And a multitude was sitting about him; and they say to him, Lo! thy mother and thy brothers and thy sisters are without, seeking for thee.
İsa'nın çevresinde oturan kalabalıktan bazıları, “Bak” dediler, “Annenle kardeşlerin dışarıda, seni istiyorlar.”
33 And he answering saith to them, Who is my mother, and my brothers?
İsa buna karşılık onlara, “Kimdir annem ve kardeşlerim?” dedi.
34 And looking round on those who sat about him, he saith, Behold my mother and my brothers.
Sonra çevresinde oturanlara bakıp şöyle dedi: “İşte annem, işte kardeşlerim!
35 Whoever shall do the will of God, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.
Tanrı'nın isteğini kim yerine getirirse, kardeşim, kızkardeşim ve annem odur.”
