Mark 3
1 And he entered again into a synagogue; and there was a man there having a withered hand;
Una vez más Jesús fue a la sinagoga. Allí estaba un hombre que tenía una mano lisiada.
2 and they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath, that they might accuse him.
Algunos de los que estaban allí estaban observando si Jesús lo sanaría en sábado, pues estaban buscando un motivo para acusarlo de quebrantar la ley.
3 And he saith to the man having the withered hand, Stand up in the midst.
Jesús le dijo al hombre con la mano lisiada: “Ven y párate aquí frente a todos”.
4 And he saith to them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they were silent.
“¿Es lícito hacer el bien en sábado, o hacer el mal? ¿Debemos salvar vidas o matar?” les preguntó. Pero ellos no dijeron ni una palabra.
5 And looking round on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith to the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth; and his hand was restored.
Jesús los miró con enojo, muy molesto por la dureza de sus corazones. Entonces le dijo al hombre: “Extiende tu mano”. Y el hombre extendió su mano, y le fue sanada.
6 And the Pharisees went forth, and immediately had a consultation with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
Los fariseos salieron, e inmediatamente comenzaron a conspirar con los aliados de Herodes sobre cómo podían matar a Jesús.
7 And Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake; and a great multitude from Galilee, and from Judaea followed;
Mientras tanto, Jesús regresó al Mar, y una gran multitud lo seguía. Había gente de Galilea,
8 and from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond the Jordan, and the people about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they heard what great things he was doing, came to him.
de Judea, de Idumea, de Transjordania, y de las regiones de Tiro y Sidón. Muchas personas venían a verlo porque habían escuchado todo lo que él hacía.
9 And he gave direction to his disciples, that a boat should be in readiness for him because of the multitude, that they might not throng him.
Jesús les dijo a sus discípulos que tuvieran una embarcación pequeña en caso de que la multitud comenzara a aglomerarse sobre él,
10 For he had healed many, so that as many as had plagues pressed upon him to touch him.
porque había sanado a tantas personas que todos los enfermos seguían tratando de amontonarse y empujarse para poder tocarlo.
11 And the unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried out, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
Cada vez que los espíritus malos lo veian, caían frente a él y comenzaban a gritar: “¡Tú eres el Hijo de Dios!”
12 And he strictly charged them that they should not make him known.
Pero Jesús les ordenaba que no revelasen quién era él.
13 And he goeth up into the mountain, and calleth to him whom he would; and they came to him.
Entonces Jesús se fue al monte. Llamó a los que quería que lo acompañaran, y ellos fueron con él.
14 And he appointed twelve to be with him, and whom he might send forth to preach,
Eligió a doce para que estuvieran con él, y los llamó apóstoles. Ellos estarían con él, y él los enviaría a anunciar la buena noticia,
15 and to have authority to cast out demons. And he appointed the twelve,
dándoles autoridad para expulsar demonios.
16 and Simon he surnamed Peter;
Estos son los doce que él escogió: Simón (a quien llamó Pedro),
17 and James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, that is, Sons of thunder;
Santiago, hijo de Zebedeo y su hermano Juan (a quienes llamó Boanerges, que quiere decir “hijos del trueno”),
18 and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon of Cana,
Andrés, Felipe, Bartolomé, Mateo, Tomás, Santiago hijo de Alfeo, Tadeo, Simón el revolucionario,
19 and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him. And he cometh into the house.
y Judas Iscariote (quien lo entregó).
20 And again a multitude cometh together, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
Jesús se fue a casa, pero la gran multitud se volvió a reunir y él y sus discípulos ni siquiera tenían tiempo para comer.
21 And his relations hearing of it went out to lay hold of him; for they said, He is beside himself.
Cuando la familia de Jesús escuchó acerca de esto, fueron a buscarlo para llevárselo, porque decían: “¡se ha vuelto loco!”
22 And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebul; and, He casteth out the demons through the prince of the demons.
Pero los líderes religiosos de Jerusalén, decían: “¡Él está poseído por Belcebú! ¡Es en nombre del príncipe de los demonios que los expulsa!”
23 And calling them to him, he said to them in parables: How can Satan cast out Satan?
Pero Jesús los llamó para que se acercaran a él. Y a través de ilustraciones les preguntó: “¿Cómo puede Satanás expulsar a Satanás?
24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand;
Un reino que pelea contra sí mismo no puede mantenerse.
25 and if a house be divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand;
Una casa dividida está destinada a la destrucción.
26 and if Satan rise up against himself, he is divided, and cannot stand, but hath an end.
Si Satanás está dividido y pelea contra sí mismo, no durará y pronto llegará a su fin.
27 Moreover, no one can enter into a strong man's house, and plunder his goods, unless he first bind the strong man; and then he will plunder his house.
Sin duda, si alguien entra a robar a la casa de un hombre fuerte y trata de llevarse sus pertenencias, no lo logrará a menos que ate al hombre fuerte primero”.
28 Truly do I say to you, All sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and the blasphemies wherewith they shall blaspheme;
“Les digo la verdad: los pecados y las blasfemias pueden ser perdonados,
30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
(Jesús dijo esto porque ellos decían: “Él tiene un espíritu maligno”).
31 And his mother and his brothers came; and, standing without, sent to him, to call him.
Entonces la madre de Jesús y sus hermanos llegaron. Lo esperaron afuera y mandaron a alguien para que le pidiera que saliera.
32 And a multitude was sitting about him; and they say to him, Lo! thy mother and thy brothers and thy sisters are without, seeking for thee.
La multitud que estaba sentada afuera le dijo: “Tu madre y tus hermanos están allá afuera preguntando por ti”.
33 And he answering saith to them, Who is my mother, and my brothers?
“¿Quién es mi madre? ¿Quiénes son mis hermanos?” respondió él.
34 And looking round on those who sat about him, he saith, Behold my mother and my brothers.
Y mirando alrededor a todos los que estaban sentados, les dijo: “¡Aquí está mi madre! ¡Aquí están mis hermanos!
35 Whoever shall do the will of God, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.
Todo aquél que hace la voluntad de Dios, ese es mi hermano, mi hermana y mi madre”.
