Mark 1
1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ;
Commencement de l'évangile de Jésus-Christ fils de Dieu:
2 as it is written in Isaiah the prophet: “Lo! I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way;”
Selon qu'il est écrit dans le prophète: « Voici, J'envoie devant toi Mon messager, lequel frayera ton chemin,
3 “The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths!”
Voix d'un crieur dans le désert: Préparez le chemin du Seigneur, redressez Ses sentiers,
4 John the Baptizer appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
Jean le baptiseur apparut dans le désert, prêchant un baptême de repentance pour la rémission des péchés.
5 And there went out to him all the country of Judaea, and all they of Jerusalem and were baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.
Et tout le pays de Judée et tous les Hiérosolymitains se portaient vers lui, et ils se faisaient baptiser par lui dans le fleuve du Jourdain.
6 And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a leathern girdle about his loins, and he ate locusts and wild honey.
Et Jean était vêtu de poils de chameau, et d'une ceinture de cuir autour des reins, et il se nourrissait de sauterelles et de miel sauvage.
7 And he preached, saying, There cometh after me one mightier than I, the latchet of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and loose.
Et il prêchait en disant: « Il vient après moi, celui qui est plus puissant que moi, et je ne suis pas digne de délier en me baissant la courroie de ses sandales;
8 I have baptized you with water; but he will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.
pour moi je vous ai baptisés d'eau, mais lui vous baptisera d'esprit saint. »
9 And it came to pass that in those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
Il advint en ce temps-là que Jésus vint de Nazaret de Galilée, et se fit baptiser dans le Jourdain par Jean.
10 And immediately on coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens parted, and the Spirit descending as a dove upon him.
Et au moment où il sortait de l'eau il vit les cieux s'entr'ouvrir et l'esprit comme une colombe descendre vers lui;
11 And there was a voice from the heavens, “Thou art my beloved Son; with thee I am well pleased.”
et une voix vint des cieux: « Tu es Mon fils bien-aimé, en toi J'ai pris plaisir. »
12 And immediately the Spirit driveth him forth into the wilderness.
Et aussitôt l'esprit le pousse au désert.
13 And he was in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to him.
Et il était dans le désert pendant quarante jours tenté par Satan, et il était avec les bêtes, et les anges le servaient.
14 But after John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the glad tidings of God,
Et après que Jean eut été livré, Jésus vint en Galilée, prêchant l'évangile de Dieu,
15 [[saying, ]] The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe the glad tidings.
et disant: « Le temps est accompli, et le royaume de Dieu s'approche; repentez-vous et croyez à l'évangile. »
16 And as he was passing along by the lake of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon dragging a net in the lake; for they were fishers.
Et en passant le long de la mer de Galilée il vit Simon, et André le frère de Simon, qui pêchaient au filet dans la mer, car ils étaient pêcheurs;
17 And Jesus said to them, Come after me, and I will cause you to become fishers of men.
et Jésus leur dit: « Marchez après moi, et je vous ferai devenir des pêcheurs d'hommes. »
18 And immediately they left their nets, and followed him.
Et ayant aussitôt quitté leurs filets, ils le suivaient.
19 And going on a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending the nets;
Et ayant un peu continué sa route, il vit Jacques le fils de Zébédée et Jean son frère, qui, eux aussi arrangeaient, leurs filets dans leur barque.
20 and immediately he called them. And leaving their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men, they went after him.
Et aussitôt il les appela; et ayant laissé leur père Zébédée dans la barque avec les mercenaires, ils s'en allèrent après, lui.
21 And they enter Capernaum; and immediately on the sabbath he was teaching in the synagogue.
Et il entrait à Capharnaoum, et étant aussitôt entré le jour du sabbat dans la synagogue; il enseignait;
22 And they were astonished at his teaching; for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes.
et ils étaient stupéfaits de son enseignement, car il les enseignait comme ayant autorité, et non pas comme les scribes.
23 And immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,
Et il se trouvait aussitôt dans leur synagogue un homme possédé d'un esprit impur, et il s'écria:
24 saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus of Nazareth? Thou hast come to destroy us; we know who thou art, the Holy One of God.
« Que nous veux-tu, toi aussi, Jésus Nazarénien? Es-tu venu pour nous faire périr? Je sais qui tu es: le saint de Dieu. »
25 And Jesus rebuked him, [[saying, ]] Be silent, and come out of him.
Et Jésus le réprimanda, en-disant: « Tais-toi, et sors de lui. »
26 And the unclean spirit convulsing him, and crying out with a loud voice, came out of him.
Et l'impur, après l'avoir jeté en de violentes convulsions et avoir poussé de grands cris, sortit de lui.
27 And they were all amazed, so that they questioned each other, saying, What is this? New teaching with authority; even the unclean spirits doth he command, and they obey him!
Et ils étaient tous dans l'épouvante, en sorte qu'ils discutaient en disant: « Qu'est-ce que ceci? Enseignement étrange! Il commande avec autorité même aux esprits impurs, et ils lui obéissent! »
28 And immediately his fame spread abroad everywhere through the whole surrounding country of Galilee.
Et sa renommée se répandit aussitôt de tous côtés, dans toute la contrée voisine de la Galilée.
29 And having come out of the synagogue, they immediately entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
Et aussitôt étant sorti de la synagogue, il entra dans la maison de Simon et d'André avec Jacques et Jean.
30 And Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever; and they immediately speak to him about her.
Or la belle-mère de Simon était couchée ayant la fièvre; et aussitôt ils lui parlent d'elle;
31 And he went to her, and took her by the hand, and raised her up; and the fever left her, and she waited on them.
et s'étant approché il la fit lever en la prenant par la main; et la fièvre la quitta, et elle les servait.
32 And in the evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all that were sick, and those who were possessed by demons;
Or, quand le soir fut venu, lorsque le soleil fut couché, on lui apportait tous les malades et les démoniaques;
33 and the whole city was assembled at the door.
et la ville entière était rassemblée devant la porte.
34 And he healed many that were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and he suffered not the demons to speak, because they knew him.
Et il guérit plusieurs malades atteints de diverses maladies, et il chassa plusieurs démons, et il ne permettait pas aux démons de parler, parce qu'ils savaient qu'il était le Christ.
35 And rising early, long before day, he went out, and withdrew into a desert place, and there prayed.
Et sur le matin, pendant qu'il faisait très sombre, il sortit, après s'être levé, pour se rendre dans un lieu désert, et là il priait.
36 And Simon and those with him went in search of him,
Et Simon et ceux qui étaient avec lui se mirent à sa poursuite,
37 and found him. And they say to him, All people are in search of thee.
et ils le trouvèrent, et ils lui disent: « Tous te cherchent. »
38 And he saith to them, Let us go elsewhere into the neighboring towns, that I may preach there also; for, for this I came forth.
Et il leur dit: « Allons ailleurs dans les bourgades suivantes, afin que j'y prêche aussi, car c'est pour cela que je suis sorti. »
39 And he went, preaching in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and casting out the demons.
Et il parcourut toute la Galilée, prêchant dans leurs synagogues, et expulsant les démons.
40 And there cometh a leper to him beseeching him, and kneeling down, saying to him, If thou wilt, thou canst cleanse me.
Et un lépreux vient à lui, qui le sollicitait en lui disant: « Seigneur!… car, si tu le veux, tu peux me guérir. »
41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith, I will; be thou cleansed.
Et étant ému de compassion, il le toucha en étendant la main, et il lui dit: « Je le veux, soit guéri. »
42 And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.
Et aussitôt la lèpre le quitta et il fut guéri.
43 And sternly charging him, he immediately sent him away,
Et l'ayant vertement tancé, il le renvoya immédiatement,
44 saying to him, See that thou say nothing to any one; but go, show thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing what Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.
et il lui dit: « Garde-toi d'en rien dire à personne; mais va, montre-toi au prêtre et présente pour ta purification ce qu'a prescrit Moïse pour leur servir d'attestation. »
45 But he went away, and began to publish it constantly, and to spread the matter abroad, so that Jesus could no more enter a city openly, but was without in desert places; and they came to him from every quarter.
Mais, quand l'autre fut sorti, il se mit à beaucoup parler et à divulguer l'affaire, en sorte qu'il ne pouvait plus entrer publiquement dans aucune ville, mais il se tenait au dehors dans des lieux déserts, et on venait à lui de partout.
