Luke 1
1 Inasmuch as many have undertaken to arrange a narrative of those things which are fully believed among us,
| از آنجهت که بسیاری دست خود را درازکردند به سوی تالیف حکایت آن اموری که نزد ما به اتمام رسید، | ۱ |
2 even as they were delivered to us by those who were eye-witnesses from the beginning and became ministers of the word,
| چنانچه آنانی که از ابتدانظارگان و خادمان کلام بودند به ما رسانیدند، | ۲ |
3 it seemed good to me also, having accurately traced up all things from the first, to write to thee a connected account, most excellent Theophilus,
| من نیز مصلحت چنان دیدم که همه را من البدایه به تدقیق در‌پی رفته، به ترتیب به تو بنویسم‌ای تیوفلس عزیز، | ۳ |
4 that thou mightst know the exact truth with regard to those things in which thou wast instructed.
| تا صحت آن کلامی که در آن تعلیم یافته‌ای دریابی. | ۴ |
5 There was in the days of Herod, king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zachariah, of the course of Abijah; and he had a wife of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.
| در ایام هیرودیس پادشاه یهودیه، کاهنی زکریا نام از فرقه ابیا بود که زن او از دختران هارون بود و الیصابات نام داشت. | ۵ |
6 And they were both righteous in the sight of God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
| و هر دو در حضورخدا صالح و به جمیع احکام و فرایض خداوند، بی‌عیب سالک بودند. | ۶ |
7 And they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both far advanced in years.
| و ایشان را فرزندی نبودزیرا که الیصابات نازاد بود و هر دو دیرینه سال بودند. | ۷ |
8 And it came to pass, that, while he was serving as priest before God in the order of his course,
| و واقع شد که چون به نوبت فرقه خود درحضور خدا کهانت می‌کرد، | ۸ |
9 according to the custom of the priesthood the lot fell to him to go into the temple of the Lord and burn the incense.
| حسب عادت کهانت، نوبت او شد که به قدس خداوند درآمده، بخور بسوزاند. | ۹ |
10 And the whole multitude of the people was praying without at the time of the incense.
| و در وقت بخور، تمام جماعت قوم بیرون عبادت می‌کردند. | ۱۰ |
11 And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord, standing on the right of the altar of incense.
| ناگاه فرشته خداوند به طرف راست مذبح بخور ایستاده، بر وی ظاهر گشت. | ۱۱ |
12 And Zachariah was troubled at the sight, and fear fell upon him.
| چون زکریااو را دید، در حیرت افتاده، ترس بر او مستولی شد. | ۱۲ |
13 But the angel said to him, Fear not, Zachariah; for thy prayer was heard, and thy wife Elizabeth shall bear thee a son; and thou shalt call his name John.
| فرشته بدو گفت: «ای زکریا ترسان مباش، زیرا که دعای تو مستجاب گردیده است وزوجه ات الیصابات برای تو پسری خواهد زاییدو او را یحیی خواهی نامید. | ۱۳ |
14 And thou wilt have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice for his birth.
| و تو را خوشی وشادی رخ خواهد نمود و بسیاری از ولادت اومسرور خواهند شد. | ۱۴ |
15 For he will be great in the sight of the Lord; and will drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit from his very birth.
| زیرا که در حضورخداوند بزرگ خواهد بود و شراب و مسکری نخواهد نوشید و از شکم مادر خود، پر ازروح‌القدس خواهد بود. | ۱۵ |
16 And many of the sons of Israel will he turn to the Lord their God.
| و بسیاری ازبنی‌اسرائیل را، به سوی خداوند خدای ایشان خواهد برگردانید. | ۱۶ |
17 And he will go before his face in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of fathers to children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous, to make ready for the Lord a prepared people.
| و او به روح و قوت الیاس پیش روی وی خواهد خرامید، تا دلهای پدران رابه طرف پسران و نافرمانان را به حکمت عادلان بگرداند تا قومی مستعد برای خدا مهیا سازد.» | ۱۷ |
18 And Zachariah said to the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife is far advanced in years.
| زکریا به فرشته گفت: «این را چگونه بدانم وحال آنکه من پیر هستم و زوجه‌ام دیرینه سال است؟» | ۱۸ |
19 And the angel answering said to him, I am Gabriel, who stand in the presence of God; and I was sent to speak to thee, and to tell thee these glad tidings.
| فرشته در جواب وی گفت: «من جبرائیل هستم که در حضور خدا می‌ایستم وفرستاده شدم تا به تو سخن گویم و از این امور تورا مژده دهم. | ۱۹ |
20 And lo! thou shalt be silent, and not able to speak, until the day when these things shall come to pass, because thou didst not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their season.
| و الحال تا این امور واقع نگردد، گنگ شده یارای حرف زدن نخواهی داشت، زیراسخن های مرا که در وقت خود به وقوع خواهدپیوست، باور نکردی.» | ۲۰ |
21 And the people were looking for Zachariah, and wondering that he remained so long in the temple.
| و جماعت منتظر زکریامی بودند و از طول توقف او در قدس متعجب شدند. | ۲۱ |
22 And on coming out, he was not able to speak to them; and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple; and he was beckoning to them, and remained speechless.
| اما چون بیرون آمده نتوانست با ایشان حرف زند، پس فهمیدند که در قدس رویایی دیده است، پس به سوی ایشان اشاره می‌کرد و ساکت ماند. | ۲۲ |
23 And it came to pass, when the days of his ministration were completed, that he returned to his house.
| و چون ایام خدمت او به اتمام رسید، به خانه خود رفت. | ۲۳ |
24 And after those days his wife Elizabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying,
| و بعد از آن روزها، زن او الیصابات حامله شده، مدت پنج ماه خود را پنهان نمود و گفت: | ۲۴ |
25 Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me to take away my reproach among men.
| «به اینطور خداوند به من عمل نمود درروزهایی که مرا منظور داشت، تا ننگ مرا از نظرمردم بردارد.» | ۲۵ |
26 And in her sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee, called Nazareth,
| و در ماه ششم جبرائیل فرشته از جانب خدا به بلدی از جلیل که ناصره نام داشت، فرستاده شد. | ۲۶ |
27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
| نزد باکره‌ای نامزد مردی مسمی به یوسف از خاندان داود و نام آن باکره مریم بود. | ۲۷ |
28 And the angel came in to her and said, Hail, thou that art highly favored! the Lord is with thee.
| پس فرشته نزد او داخل شده، گفت: «سلام برتو‌ای نعمت رسیده، خداوند با توست و تو درمیان زنان مبارک هستی.» | ۲۸ |
29 And she was troubled at the words, and was considering what this salutation could mean.
| چون او را دید، ازسخن او مضطرب شده، متفکر شد که این چه نوع تحیت است. | ۲۹ |
30 And the angel said to her, Fear not, Mary; for thou hast found favor with God.
| فرشته بدو گفت: «ای مریم ترسان مباش زیرا که نزد خدا نعمت یافته‌ای. | ۳۰ |
31 And lo! thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and hear a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.
| واینک حامله شده، پسری خواهی زایید و او راعیسی خواهی نامید. | ۳۱ |
32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to him the throne of David his father;
| او بزرگ خواهد بود و به پسر حضرت اعلی، مسمی شود، و خداوند خداتخت پدرش داود را بدو عطا خواهد فرمود. | ۳۲ |
33 and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. (aiōn g165)
| واو بر خاندان یعقوب تا به ابد پادشاهی خواهد کردو سلطنت او را نهایت نخواهد بود.» (aiōn g165) | ۳۳ |
34 Then said Mary to the angel, How shall this be, since I know not a man?
| مریم به فرشته گفت: «این چگونه می‌شود وحال آنکه مردی را نشناخته‌ام؟» | ۳۴ |
35 And the angel answering said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon thee, and the power of the Most High will overshadow thee; wherefore the holy one that is to be born will be called the Son of God.
| فرشته درجواب وی گفت: «روح‌القدس بر تو خواهد آمد وقوت حضرت اعلی بر تو سایه خواهد افکند، از آنجهت آن مولود مقدس، پسر خدا خوانده خواهد شد. | ۳۵ |
36 And lo! Elizabeth, thy kinswoman, she also hath conceived a son in her old age; and this is the sixth month with her who is called barren.
| و اینک الیصابات از خویشان تونیز در‌پیری به پسری حامله شده و این ماه ششم است، مر او را که نازاد می‌خواندند. | ۳۶ |
37 For nothing will be impossible with God.
| زیرا نزدخدا هیچ امری محال نیست.» | ۳۷ |
38 And Mary said, Lo, the handmaid of the Lord! May it be to me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.
| مریم گفت: «اینک کنیز خداوندم. مرا برحسب سخن تو واقع شود.» پس فرشته از نزد او رفت. | ۳۸ |
39 And Mary arose and went in those days into the hill-country with haste, into a city of Judah.
| در آن روزها، مریم برخاست و به بلدی ازکوهستان یهودیه بشتاب رفت. | ۳۹ |
40 And she entered the house of Zachariah, and saluted Elizabeth.
| و به خانه زکریادرآمده، به الیصابات سلام کرد. | ۴۰ |
41 And it came to pass, when Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit,
| و چون الیصابات سلام مریم را شنید، بچه در رحم او به حرکت آمد و الیصابات به روح‌القدس پر شده، | ۴۱ |
42 and cried out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women; and blessed is the fruit of thy womb!
| به آواز بلند صدا زده گفت: «تو در میان زنان مبارک هستی و مبارک است ثمره رحم تو. | ۴۲ |
43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
| و ازکجا این به من رسید که مادر خداوند من، به نزد من آید؟ | ۴۳ |
44 For lo! as soon as the voice of thy salutation came to my ears, the babe leaped in my womb in exultation.
| زیرا اینک چون آواز سلام تو گوش زدمن شد، بچه از خوشی در رحم من به حرکت آمد. | ۴۴ |
45 And blessed is she who hath believed that there will be an accomplishment of those things which were told her from the Lord.
| و خوشابحال او که ایمان آورد، زیرا که آنچه از جانب خداوند به وی گفته شد، به انجام خواهدرسید.» | ۴۵ |
46 And Mary said, My soul magnifieth the Lord,
| پس مریم گفت: «جان من خداوند راتمجید می‌کند، | ۴۶ |
47 and my spirit hath exulted in God my Saviour;
| و روح من به رهاننده من خدابوجد آمد، | ۴۷ |
48 for he hath looked upon the low estate of his handmaiden. For lo! from this time all generations will call me blessed;
| زیرا بر‌حقارت کنیز خود نظرافکند. زیرا هان از کنون تمامی طبقات مراخوشحال خواهند خواند، | ۴۸ |
49 for the Mighty One hath done great things for me; and holy is his name;
| زیرا آن قادر، به من کارهای عظیم کرده و نام او قدوس است، | ۴۹ |
50 and his mercy is from generation to generation on them that fear him.
| ورحمت او نسلا بعد نسل است. بر آنانی که از او می ترسند. | ۵۰ |
51 He hath wrought mightily with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the device of their heart.
| به بازوی خود، قدرت را ظاهرفرمود و متکبران را به خیال دل ایشان پراکنده ساخت. | ۵۱ |
52 He hath cast down princes from thrones, and exalted men of low degree.
| جباران را از تختها به زیر افکند. وفروتنان را سرافراز گردانید. | ۵۲ |
53 The hungry he hath filled with good things, and the rich he hath sent away empty.
| گرسنگان را به چیزهای نیکو سیر فرمود و دولتمندان راتهیدست رد نمود. | ۵۳ |
54 He hath given help to Israel his servant, in remembrance of his mercy
| بنده خود اسرائیل را یاری کرد، به یادگاری رحمانیت خویش، | ۵۴ |
| چنانکه به اجداد ما گفته بود، به ابراهیم و به ذریت او تاابدالاباد.» (aiōn g165) | ۵۵ |
56 And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house.
| و مریم قریب به سه ماه نزد وی ماند. پس به خانه خود مراجعت کرد. | ۵۶ |
57 Now Elizabeth's full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son.
| اما چون الیصابات را وقت وضع حمل رسید، پسری بزاد. | ۵۷ |
58 And her neighbors and her kinsfolk heard that the Lord had showed great mercy toward her; and they rejoiced with her.
| و همسایگان و خویشان اوچون شنیدند که خداوند رحمت عظیمی بر وی کرده، با او شادی کردند. | ۵۸ |
59 And it came to pass that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they were about to call him Zachariah, after the name of his father.
| و واقع شد در روزهشتم چون برای ختنه طفل آمدند، که نام پدرش زکریا را بر او می‌نهادند. | ۵۹ |
60 And his mother answering said, Not so; but he shall be called John.
| اما مادرش ملتفت شده، گفت: «نی بلکه به یحیی نامیده می‌شود.» | ۶۰ |
61 And they said to her, There is no one of thy kindred that is called by this name.
| به وی گفتند: «از قبیله تو هیچ‌کس این اسم راندارد.» | ۶۱ |
62 And they made signs to his father, how he would have him named.
| پس به پدرش اشاره کردند که «او را چه نام خواهی نهاد؟» | ۶۲ |
63 And he asked for a writing-tablet, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they all marveled.
| او تخته‌ای خواسته بنوشت که «نام او یحیی است» و همه متعجب شدند. | ۶۳ |
64 And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue was loosed; and he spoke, blessing God.
| در ساعت، دهان و زبان او باز گشته، به حمدخدا متکلم شد. | ۶۴ |
65 And fear came on all that dwelt around them; and all these things were talked of throughout the whole of the hill-country of Judaea.
| پس بر تمامی همسایگان ایشان، خوف مستولی گشت و جمیع این وقایع در همه کوهستان یهودیه شهرت یافت. | ۶۵ |
66 And all that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What then will this child be? For the hand of the Lord was with him.
| و هرکه شنید، در خاطر خود تفکر نموده، گفت: «این چه نوع طفل خواهد بود؟» و دست خداوند با وی می بود. | ۶۶ |
67 And Zachariah his father was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying,
| و پدرش زکریا از روح‌القدس پر شده نبوت نموده، گفت: | ۶۷ |
68 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel! for he hath visited and redeemed his people,
| «خداوند خدای اسرائیل متبارک باد، زیرا از قوم خود تفقد نموده، برای ایشان فدایی قرار داد. | ۶۸ |
69 and hath raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of David his servant, —
| و شاخ نجاتی برای مابرافراشت، در خانه بنده خود داود. | ۶۹ |
| چنانچه به زبان مقدسین گفت که از بدو عالم انبیای اومی بودند، (aiōn g165) | ۷۰ |
71 salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us,
| رهایی از دشمنان ما و از دست آنانی که از ما نفرت دارند، | ۷۱ |
72 to accomplish his mercy toward our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant,
| تا رحمت را برپدران ما به‌جا آرد و عهد مقدس خود را تذکرفرماید. | ۷۲ |
73 the oath which he swore to Abraham our father,
| سوگندی که برای پدر ما ابراهیم یادکرد، | ۷۳ |
74 to grant to us, that being delivered from the hand of our enemies, we might worship him without fear,
| که ما را فیض عطا فرماید، تا از دست دشمنان خود رهایی یافته، او را بی‌خوف عبادت کنیم. | ۷۴ |
75 in holiness and righteousness before him, all our days.
| در حضور او به قدوسیت و عدالت، درتمامی روزهای عمر خود. | ۷۵ |
76 And thou, child, shalt be called a prophet of the Most High; for thou shalt go in advance before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways,
| و تو‌ای طفل نبی حضرت اعلی خوانده خواهی شد، زیرا پیش روی خداوند خواهی خرامید، تا طرق او را مهیاسازی، | ۷۶ |
77 to give knowledge of salvation to his people in the remission of their sins
| تا قوم او را معرفت نجات دهی، درآمرزش گناهان ایشان. | ۷۷ |
78 through the tender mercy of our God, whereby the day-spring from on high hath visited us,
| به احشای رحمت خدای ما که به آن سپیده از عالم اعلی از ما تفقدنمود، | ۷۸ |
79 to give light to those sitting in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
| تا ساکنان در ظلمت و ظل موت را نوردهد. و پایهای ما را به طریق سلامتی هدایت نماید.» | ۷۹ |
80 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit; and was in the deserts till the day of his manifestation to Israel.
| پس طفل نمو کرده، در روح قوی می‌گشت. و تا روز ظهور خود برای اسرائیل، دربیابان بسر می‌برد. | ۸۰ |
