Luke 8
1 And it came to pass afterward, that he journeyed through cities and villages, preaching and publishing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God; and the twelve were with him,
Und es geschah darnach, daß er umherzog durch Stadt und Dorf, indem er predigte, und die frohe Botschaft von der Gottesherrschaft verkündigte. Und die Zwölfe waren mit ihm,
2 and certain women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons,
Und etliche Weiber, die von bösen Geistern und Krankheiten geheilt worden waren: Maria, genannt die Magdalenerin, von welcher sieben Dämonen ausgegangen waren,
3 and Joanna, the wife of Chuzas, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, who afforded them aid from their substance.
Und Johanna, das Weib Chusa, des Verwalters Herodis, und Susanna, und viele andere, welche ihnen dienten von ihrer Habe.
4 And a great multitude collecting together, and people from the cities going out to him, he spoke by a parable:
Da nun viel Volk zusammengekommen war und aus den Städten zu ihm zogen, sprach er durch ein Gleichnis:
5 A sower went forth to sow his seed; and as he sowed, some seeds fell by the way-side; and they were trodden down, and the birds of the air devoured them.
Der Säemann ging aus, zu säen seinen Samen. Und indem er säete, fiel etliches an den Weg, und ward zertreten, und die Vögel des Himmels fraßen es auf.
6 And others fell upon rocky ground; and when they had sprung up they withered away, because they had no moisture.
Und anderes fiel auf den Felsen, und da es aufgegangen war, verdorrte es weil es keine Feuchtigkeit hatte.
7 And others fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up with them, and choked them.
Und anderes fiel mitten unter die Dornen, und da die Dornen mit aufgingen, erstickten sie es.
8 And others fell upon good ground, and sprung up, and bore fruit, a hundred-fold. While saying these things, he cried aloud, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Und anderes fiel auf die gute Erde; und da es aufgegangen war, brachte es hundertfältige Frucht. Als er dieses sagte, rief er: Wer Ohren hat zu hören, der höre!
9 And his disciples asked him what this parable meant.
Es fragten ihn aber seine Jünger, und sprachen, was dieses Gleichnis wäre?
10 And he said, To you it hath been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God; but to others [[these things are spoken]] in parables; that while seeing they may not see, and while hearing they may not understand.
Er aber sprach: Euch ist es gegeben, zu wissen die Geheimnisse der Gottesherrschaft, den übrigen aber in Gleichnissen damit sie sehend nicht sehen, und hörend nicht verstehen.
11 Now the meaning of the parable is this. The seed is the word of God.
Dies ist aber das Gleichnis: Der Same ist das Wort Gottes.
12 Those by the way-side are they that hear; then cometh the Devil and taketh away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved.
Die aber am Wege sind die, so es hören; darnach kommt der Teufel, und nimmt das Wort von ihren Herzen weg, damit sie nicht glauben und errettet werden.
13 Those on the rocky ground are they who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root; and for a while they believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
Die aber auf dem Felsen sind die, welche, wenn sie es gehört haben, das Wort mit Freuden aufnahmen; aber sie haben keine Wurzeln; sie glauben eine Zeitlang, und zur Zeit der Versuchung fallen sie ab.
14 And those seeds which fell among the thorns, these are they who, when they have heard, go away and are choked with the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
Das unter die Dornen Gefallene sind die, so es hören, und unter Sorgen und Reichtum und Lüsten des Lebens hingehen und erstickt werden, und bringen es nicht zu Ende.
15 But the seeds on the good ground, these are they who in an honest and good heart, when they have heard the word, hold it fast, and bear fruit with constancy.
Die aber in der guten Erde sind die, welche in einem guten und feinen Herzen das Wort, das sie gehört haben, bewahren, und Frucht bringen, in Beharrlichkeit.
16 And no one having lighted a lamp, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light.
Niemand aber zündet eine Leuchte an, und verdeckt sie mit einem Gefäß, oder stellt sie unter ein Bett, sondern auf einen Leuchter setzt er sie, damit die hineingehen das Licht sehen.
17 For nothing is secret, that will not be made manifest; nor hidden, that will not be known, and come to light.
Denn nichts ist verborgen, was nicht offenbar werde; noch ist etwas geheim, das nicht gekannt werde, und an den Tag komme.
18 Take heed therefore how ye hear; for whoever hath, to him will be given; and whoever hath not, from him will be taken even what he seemeth to have.
So seht den zu, wie ihr höret; denn wer da hat, dem wird gegeben werden, und wer nicht hat, von dem wird auch, was er zu haben meint, genommen werden.
19 And his mother and his brothers came where he was, and could not get to him on account of the crowd.
Es kamen aber zu ihm seine Mutter und seine Brüder, und konnten nicht an ihn hingelangen, wegen des Volkshaufens.
20 And word was brought to him, Thy mother and thy brothers stand without, desiring to see thee.
Und es ward ihm angezeigt, indem man sprach: Deine Mutter und deine Brüder stehen draußen, und wollen dich sehen.
21 And he answering said to them, My mother and my brothers are these, who hear the word of God, and do it.
Er aber antwortete, und sprach zu ihnen: Meine Mutter und meine Brüder sind die, welche das Wort Gottes hören und tun.
22 Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a boat with his disciples, and said to them, Let us go over to the other side of the lake; and they put off.
Es geschah aber an einem der Tage, daß er in ein Boot einstieg, und seine Jünger; und er sprach zu ihnen: Lasset uns hinüberfahren ans jenseitige Ufer des Sees, uns sie stießen ab.
23 But as they were sailing, he fell asleep. And there came down a storm of wind on the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in jeopardy.
Als sie aber schifften, schlief er ein. Und es stieg ein Sturmwind auf den See hernieder, und das Boot füllte sich, und sie liefen Gefahr.
24 And they came and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we are perishing! And he rose, and rebuked the wind, and the surging of the water; and they ceased, and there was a calm.
Da traten sie hinzu, weckten ihn auf, und sprachen: Meister, Meister! Wir kommen um. Er aber stund auf, bedrohte den Wind und das Wogen des Wassers, und sie legten sich, und es ward eine Windstille.
25 And he said to them, Where is your faith? And they were afraid, and wondered, saying one to another, Who then is this, that he commandeth even the winds and the water, and they obey him?
Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Wo ist euer Glaube? Sie aber fürchteten und verwunderten sich, und sprachen zu einander: Wer ist doch dieser? daß er auch den Winden gebietet und dem Wasser, und sie ihm gehorchen?
26 And they sailed to the country of the Gergesenes, which is over against Galilee.
Und sie fuhren an in der Gegend der Gergesener, welches Galiläa gegenüber liegt.
27 And when he had landed, there met him a certain man out of the city who had demons, and for a long time had worn no clothes, and abode not in a house, but in the tombs.
Als er aber ans Land gestiegen war, begegnete ihm ein Mann aus der Stadt, der hatte Dämonen von lange her, und bekleidete sich nicht mit einem Gewand und blieb nicht in einem Hause, sondern in den Gräbern.
28 And seeing Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and said with a loud voice, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I beseech thee, do not torment me.
Da er aber Jesus sah, schrie er auf, und fiel vor ihm nieder, und sprach mit lauter Stimme: Was machst du dir mit mir zu schaffen, Jesus, Sohn Gottes, des Höchsten? Ich bitte dich, daß du mich nicht quälst!
29 For he was about to command the unclean spirit to come out of the man; for it had possessed him for a long time, and he had been kept bound and secured with chains and fetters; and bursting the bands, he had been driven by the demon into the wilderness.
Denn er hatte den unsaubern Geist geboten, daß er von dem Menschen ausfahre. Denn er hatte ihn seit langer Zeit ergriffen, und er ward gebunden mit Ketten und Fußfesseln, und bewacht, und zerbrach die Bande, und ward vom Dämon in die Wüste getrieben.
30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion; because many demons had entered into him.
Jesus aber frug ihn, und sprach: Was ist dein Name? Er aber sprach: Legion; denn viele Dämonen waren in ihn gefahren.
Und er bat ihn, daß er ihnen nicht geböte in den Abgrund zu fahren. (Abyssos g12)
32 Now there was there a herd of many swine feeding on the mountain; and they besought him to permit them to go into them. And he permitted them.
Es war aber daselbst eine große Herde Schweine, die weidete auf dem Berge. Und sie baten ihn, daß er ihnen erlaube, in dieselbigen zu fahren; und er erlaubte es ihnen.
33 And the demons coming out of the man went into the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep into the lake, and were drowned.
Als aber die Dämonen von dem Menschen ausfuhren, fuhren sie in die Schweine; und die Herde stürzte den Abhang hinunter und ertrank.
34 And the herdsmen, seeing what was done, fled, and told the news in the city and in the country.
Da aber die Hirten sahen, was geschehen war, flohen sie, und verkündigten es in der Stadt und in dem Gefilde.
35 And they went out to see what had been done. And they came to Jesus and found the man from whom the demons had gone out sitting, clothed, and in his right mind, at the feet of Jesus; and they were afraid.
Und sie kamen heraus, um zu sehen, was geschehen war; und sie kamen zu Jesus, und fanden den Menschen, von welchem die Dämonen ausgefahren waren, bekleidet und vernünftig sitzend zu den Füßen Jesu, und fürchteten sich.
36 And they who had seen it told them how he that was possessed by demons was made well.
Es verkündigten ihn aber auch die, so es gesehen hatten, wie dem Besessenen geholfen worden war.
37 And the whole multitude in the surrounding country of the Gergesenes besought him to depart from them; for they were seized with great fear. And he went on board a boat and returned.
Und die ganze Menge der Umgegend der Gergesener baten ihn, daß er von ihnen weggehe, denn sie waren von einer großen Furcht ergriffen. Er aber stieg ins Boot, und kehrte zurück.
38 And the man out of whom the demons had gone besought him that he might be with him. But he sent him away, saying,
Es bat ihn aber der Mann, von dem die Dämonen ausgefahren waren, daß er bei ihm bleiben dürfe. Jesus aber entließ ihn, und sprach:
39 Return to thy house, and tell what great things God hath done for thee. And he went and published through the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.
Kehre zurück in dein Haus, und erzähle, wie viel Gott dir getan hat. Und er ging hin und verkündigte durch die ganze Stadt, wie viel Jesus an ihm getan.
40 And it came to pass when Jesus returned, that the multitude welcomed him; for they were all waiting for him.
Es geschah aber, als Jesus zurückkehrte, empfing ihn der Volkshaufe, denn sie warteten alle auf ihn.
41 And lo! there came a man, named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue; and falling at the feet of Jesus, he besought him to come into his house;
Und siehe, es kam ein Mann, mit Namen Jairus, der ein Vorsteher der Synagoge war, und fiel zu den Füßen Jesu, und bat ihn, daß er in sein Haus käme,
42 for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. And as he went, the multitudes thronged him.
Denn er hatte eine eingeborene Tochter von zwölf Jahren, die lag am Sterben. Da er aber hinging, drängten ihn die Volkshaufen.
43 And a woman who had had an issue of blood twelve years, and had spent all her living upon physicians, and could not be cured by any one,
Und ein Weib, seit zwölf Jahren mit einem Blutfluß behaftet, welche noch dazu ihr ganzes Vermögen an Ärzte gewandt hatte, und doch von keinem geheilt werden konnte,
44 came up behind and touched the fringe of his garment; and immediately her issue of blood ceased.
Trat von hinten herzu, und berührte die Quaste seines Kleides; uns sogleich stand der Fluß ihres Blutes.
45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? And when all denied it, Peter and those with him said, Master, the multitudes are thronging thee, and pressing against thee.
Und Jesus sprach: Wer hat mich angerührt? Da sie aber alle leugneten, sprach Petrus und die mit ihm waren: Meister, die Volkshaufen drängen dich, und drücken, und du sagst: Wer hat mich angerührt?
46 But Jesus said, Some one touched me; for I perceived that power went out from me.
Jesus aber sprach: Es hat mich jemand angerührt, denn ich habe gefühlt eine Kraft von mir ausgehen.
47 And the woman, seeing that she was discovered, came trembling, and falling down before him declared before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was cured immediately.
Als aber das Weib sah, daß sie nicht verborgen war, kam sie zitternd, und fiel vor ihm nieder, und verkündigte vor allem Volk, um welcher Ursache willen sie ihn angerührt hatte, und wie sie sogleich geheilt worden sei.
48 And he said to her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee well; go in peace.
Er aber sprach zu ihr: Tochter, dein Glaube hat dir geholfen; gehe hin in Frieden!
49 While he was yet speaking, there cometh one from the house of the ruler of the synagogue, saying, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Teacher any further.
Als er noch redet, kommt jemand vom Synagogenvorsteher, und sagt ihm: Deine Tochter ist gestorben; bemühe den Lehrer nicht.
50 But Jesus hearing this, answered him, Fear not; only believe, and she will be made well.
Jesus aber, als er das hörte, antwortete, und sprach zu ihm: Fürchte dich nicht! Glaube nur, und sie wird hergestellt werden.
51 And going into the house, he suffered no one to go in with him but Peter and John and James, and the father of the maiden, and the mother.
Da er aber in das Haus kam, ließ er niemanden hineingehen, außer Petrus, und Johannes und Jakobus und den Vater des Mädchens und die Mutter.
52 And all were weeping, and lamenting for her. But he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleeping.
Sie weinten aber alle, und beklagten sie. Er aber sprach: Weinet nicht! sie ist nicht gestorben, sondern sie schläft.
53 And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.
Und sie verlachten ihn, denn sie wußten, daß sie gestorben war.
54 But he took hold of her hand, and called aloud, saying, Maiden, arise!
Er aber ergriff ihre Hand, rief und sprach: Mägdelein, stehe auf!
55 And her spirit returned, and she immediately arose. And he ordered food to be given to her.
Und ihr Geist kehrte zurück, und sie stand sogleich auf; und er befahl, ihr zu essen zu geben.
56 And her parents were amazed. But he charged them to tell no one what had been done.
Und ihre Eltern kamen außer sich; er aber gebot ihnen, niemanden zu sagen, was geschehen war.
