Luke 7
1 When he had ended all his discourse in the hearing of the people, he entered Capernaum.
Bhakabheleketeje gubhapinjile bhandu bhapilikananje gala, a Yeshu gubhapite kushilambo sha ku Kapalanaumu.
2 And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear to him, was sick, and about to die.

3 And having heard about Jesus, he sent to him elders of the Jews, and besought him to come and save his servant.

4 And they came to Jesus, and besought him earnestly, saying, He is worthy that thou shouldst do this for him;

5 for he loveth our nation, and himself built the synagogue for us.

6 And Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying, Lord, trouble not thyself; for I am not worthy that thou shouldst come under my roof;

7 on which account I did not think myself worthy to come to thee; but command with a word, and let my servant be healed.
Na shiumilo niibhone nangali shanga sha kwiya kunngwenu mmwe. Ikabheje mmelekete lilobhepe na ntumwa jwangu shaalame.
8 For even I am a man set under authority, having soldiers under me; and I say to this one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
Pabha nkali nne puni pai ja ukulungwa, pai jangu bhapalinji ashimanjola. Na nimmalanjiga linjola jumo, ‘Jenda’ alikwenda, nimmalanjilaga juna, ‘Jiya’ anakwiya, na nimmalanjilaga ntumwa jwangu, ‘Tenda ashi,’ najwalakwe alitenda.”
9 And Jesus hearing this, wondered at him; and turning round said to the multitude that followed him, I say to you, Not even in Israel have I found such faith.

10 And they who were sent, returning to the house, found the servant well.

11 And it came to pass the day after, that he was going to a city called Nain; and many of his disciples were with him, and a great multitude.

12 And as he came near the gate of the city, lo! there was carried out dead an only son of his mother, and she was a widow; and a great multitude from the city was with her.
Bhai, bhali tome na nnango gwa lugwani gwa jinjilila nshilambo mula, gubhakoposhelenje bhandunji bhajigelenje maiti gaka nngwendo jumo mwana jwa jikape jwa bhakongwe bha shitenga. Bhandunji bhabhagwinji bha shene shilambo shila pubhalinginji pamo na bhakongwe bha shitenga bhala.
13 And when the Lord saw her, he was moved with compassion for her, and said to her, Weep not.
Bhakulungwa a Yeshu bhakaabhoneje bhakongwe bhala gubhaabhonele shiya, gubhaalugulile, “Nnagute.”
14 And he came up, and touched the bier; and they who bore it stood still; and he said, Young man, I say to thee, Rise.
Kungai gubhapite kushikwaya shinanda shibhajigalilenje maiti shila, na bhajigelenje bhala gubhajimingene. Nigubhashite, “Nngwendo! Ngunakuubhalanjila, jinuka!”
15 And he that was dead sat up and began to speak; and he gave him to his mother.
Nngwendo awile jula, gwajinwishe gwatemi, gwatandwibhe kubheleketa. A Yeshu gubhankamwiye kwa akwabhe.
16 And fear seized on all, and they gave glory to God, saying, A great prophet hath risen up among us; and, God hath visited his people.
Bhandu bhowe gubhajogopenje, gubhaainiyenje a Nnungu bhalinkutinji, “Ankulondola bhakulungwa bha a Nnungu bhakoposhele munkumbi gwetu. A Nnungu bhashikwiya kukwaajangutilanga bhandu bhabho.”
17 And this report about him went forth in all Judaea, and in all the neighboring country.
Jene nganijo jikushumaga ku Yudea kowe na ilambo ya tome.
18 And the disciples of John told him all these things.
Bhaajiganywa bha a Yowana gubhaalugulilenje a Yowana yowe yatendekaga ila. Nabhalabho a Yowana gubhaashemilenje bhaajiganywa bhabho bhabhili,
19 And calling to him two of his disciples, John sent them to the Lord, saying, Art thou he that is to come, or are we to look for another?
gubhaatumilenje ku Bhakulungwa a Yeshu bhakaabhuyanje. “Bhuli, mmwe Bhaatapula bhakwiya bhala eu twaalindilile bhana?”
20 And the men came to him and said, John the Baptist hath sent us to thee, saying, Art thou he that is to come, or are we to look for another?
Bhaajiganywa bhala bhakaaimananjeje a Yeshu gubhaabhalanjilenje, Tushitumwa na a Yowana Bhaabhatisha tummuye kuti, “Bhuli, mmwe Bhaatapula bhakwiya bhala eu twaalindilile bhana?”
21 In that hour he cured many of diseases, and plagues, and evil spirits, and to many who were blind he gave sight.
Popo pepo a Yeshu bhatendaga kwaalamyanga bhandu bhabhagwinji bhalagangaga na ilwele na bhashikilwanga maoka na kwaapanganga kulola ashinangalole bhabhagwinji.
22 And he answered and said to them, Go and tell John what ye have seen and heard; that the blind receive sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor good tidings are brought;
Bhai, a Yeshu gubhaajangwilenje. “Nnjendangane nkaabhalanjilanje a Yowana yowe impilikenenje na kwiilolela mmashayenenji, ashinangalole bhanalolanga, ashinangwabha bhanakwendangana, bhamangundula bhanalama, ashinangapilikane bhanapilikana, bhawilenje bhanayuywanga, na bhaalaga bhanalungushiywanga Ngani ja Mmbone.
23 and blessed is he, whoever shall find no occasion of stumbling in me.
Mbaya jwene mundu ikakunshima kwa ligongo lyangu nne.”
24 And when the messengers of John had departed, he began to say to the multitudes concerning John, What have ye gone out into the wilderness to see? the reeds shaken by the wind?
Bhaajiganywa bha a Yowana bhakajabhulanganeje penepo, a Yeshu gubhatandwibhe kwaalugulilanga bhandu bhagumbelenje bhala nnganya ja a Yowana. “Pumwapitengenenje mukonde kukushibhona nndi? Mwaganishiyanga kukulibhona litete litikinywa na mbungo?
25 But what have ye gone out to see? a man clothed in soft raiment? Lo! they who wear gorgeous apparel, and live luxuriously, are in kings' palaces.
Ikabhe nneyo, kumwapitengenenje kulola nndi? Kumwapitengenenje kukunnola mundu awalile nngubho ya bhei jikulungwa? Bhaawalanga nngubho ya bhei jikulungwa nitama ndamo ya poka mwaakutamangana mmajumba ga shipalume!
26 But what have ye gone out to see? A prophet? Yea, I say to you, and more than a prophet.
Bhai, mmalanjilanje, mwapitengenenje kulola nndi? Mwapitengenenje kunnola nkulondola? Elo, numbe ngunakummalanjilanga, kupunda nkulondola.
27 This is he of whom it is written, “Lo! I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee.”
Bhenebha ni a Yowana bhalugwilwe Mmajandiko ga Ukonjelo. ‘Ngunakuntuma muntenga jwangu, Anng'alashiye mpanda gwenu.’”
28 I say to you, Among those born of women there is no greater prophet than John; but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
“Ngunakummalanjilanga, munkumbi gwa bhabhelekwenje jwakwapi ali jwankulungwa kwaapunda a Yowana Bhabhatisha. Ikabheje, jwene ali jwa nshoko kaje mu Upalume gwa a Nnungu, ni ali jwa nkulungwa kupunda bhenebho.”
29 And all the people when they heard him, and the publicans, acknowledged God as righteous by being baptized with the baptism of John.
Bhandu bhowe bhapilikenenje genego na nkali bhaakamula koli nigubhakundilenje kuti a Nnungu ni bha aki na bhanguja pabha bhashinkubhatishwanga na a Yowana.
30 But the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected the purpose of God toward themselves, not being baptized by him.
Ikabheje mapalishayo na bhaajiganya bha shalia, bhashinkukananga yatumbililwe na a Nnungu, kwa nneyo nigibhakanilenje kubhatishwa na a Yowana.
31 To what then shall I compare the men of this generation, and what are they like?
A Yeshu nigubhaabhushiyenje, “Bhai bhandu bha lwene lubhelekolu naalandanyanje na nndi? Paakulandananga na shindu shashi?
32 They are like children sitting in the market-place, and calling one to another, saying, We piped to you, and ye did not dance; we sung a dirge, and ye did not weep.
Bhashilandananga na bhana bhatemingene pa lubhala lwa ushiya indu, bhalishemananga ashayenenji. Twashinkunngombelenga imbeta, ikabheje mwangainanga! Twashinkunnjimbilanga nyimbo ya ililo ikabheje mmanganya mwangagutanga!
33 For John the Baptist hath come not eating bread, nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a demon.
Pabha a Yowana bhashinkwiya, bhatendaga tabha na bhakang'waga divai, mmanganya gunshitenje. ‘Bhakwete lioka!’
34 The Son of man hath come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold, a glutton and a wine-bibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!
Najwalakwe Mwana juka Mundu ashiika, analya na kung'wa, mmanganya gunshitenje. ‘Munnolanje, jwa doka na kolelwaju, mmbwiga nnjabhonji bhakamula koli na bhakwetenje yambi!’
35 But wisdom is acknowledged by all her children.
Nkali nneyo, lunda lwa a Nnungu lumanyishe kuti lwa mmbone na lwa aki kubhandu bhowe bhakundilenje.”
36 And one of the Pharisees asked him to eat with him; and he went into the Pharisee's house, and reclined at the table.
Bhapalishayo bhamo bhashinkwaashemela shalya a Yeshu kunngwabho. Nigubhajinjile nnyumba ja a bhapalishayo bhala gubhatemi kulya shalya.
37 And lo! a woman who was in the city, a sinner, learning that he was at table in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster-bottle of ointment,
Bhai, pene pa shilambo pala, bhashinkupagwa bhakongwe bhamo bhakwete yambi. Bhakapilikaneje kuti a Yeshu mubhali nnyumba ja a Palishayo bhala, gubhatolile shupa sha mauta ga nunjila shieleywe kwa liganga lya alabhashita.
38 and standing behind at his feet, weeping, began to wet his feet with tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
Nigubhajimi tome na makongono ga a Yeshu bhaliguta, na minyoi jabho jilikwaandolishila a Yeshu mmakongono. Bhakongwe bhala gubhaponwele makongono ga a Yeshu kwa umbo yabho. Kungai gubhagalambile makongono gala na gubhaapekeye mauta ga nunjila gala.
39 And the Pharisee who had invited him, when he saw this, said within himself, This man, if he were a prophet, would know who, and what sort of woman, this is that toucheth him; for she is a sinner.
Bhapalishayo bhaashemile a Yeshu bhala, bhakagabhoneje genego, gubhaganishiye muntima gwabho, “Abha bhandubha kweli bhaakaliji ankulondola bha a Nnungu, ikaaliji bhamumanyi shibhali abha bhakongwe bhakwaakwayabha kuti bhakwete yambi.”
40 And Jesus answering said to him, Simon, I have somewhat to say to thee. And he saith, Teacher, say on.
A Yeshu gubhaabhalanjile bhapalishayo bhala, “a Shimoni, shipali shindu shingupinga kummalanjila.” Nabhalabho a Shimoni bhakwaalugulilaga, “Elo, mmelekete Mmajiganya.”
41 A certain money-lender had two debtors; one owed five hundred denaries, and the other fifty.
A Yeshu gubhashite, “Bhandu bhabhili bhashinkupolekanga ela kubhandu bhamo, bhamo libhalongwaga ligambo lya nshaala gwa shaka shimo na nushu, bhana ligambo lya nshaala gwa mwei gumo na nushu.
42 When they had nothing to pay, he freely remitted the debt of both. Which of them, now, will love him the most?
Bhakalepelanjeje kulipa magambo gabhonji, bhandu bhala gubhaaleshelelenje bhanaabhili. Lelo penepo munkumbi gwa bhene bhabhilibho, bhei shibhapunde kwaapinga bhaaleshelela magambo bhala?”
43 Simon answering said, He, I suppose, to whom he remitted the most. And he said to him, Thou hast judged rightly.
A Shimoni gubhajangwile, “Penepo imanyishe kuti, bhaleshelelwe ligambo likulungwa shibhapunde kwaapinjiya.” A Yeshu gubhaabhalanjile, “Elo penepo nnjangwile ukoto.”
44 And turning to the woman, he said to Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered thy house, no water didst thou give me for my feet; but she wet my feet with tears, and wiped them with her hair.
Penepo gubhaatendebhushile bhakongwe bhala, nikwaalugulila a Shimoni, “Nnikwaabhona abha bhakongwebha? Nne punyinjile munngwenu muno mwangamba mashi ga nabha mmakongono gangu, ikabheje abha bhakongwebha bhashinyobhya makongono gangu na minyoi jabho nimbonola na umbo yabho.
45 No kiss didst thou give me; but she, from the time I came in, did not cease to kiss my feet.
Mmwe mwanganyambata, ikabheje abha bhakongwebha shijinjilile nne apano bhatendaga nyambata makongono gangu.
46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint; but she anointed my feet with costly ointment.
Mmwe mwangambakaya mauta muntwe, ikabheje abha bhakongwebha bhashimbakaya mauta mmakongono gangu.
47 Wherefore, I say to thee, her many sins have been forgiven; for she loved much; but he to whom little is forgiven loveth little.
Kwa nneyo ngunakummalanjila kupinjiya kwabho kwapunda kunalanguya kuleshelelwa kwa ilebho yabho yaigwinji. Aleshelelwe ilebho ishoko, kupinga kwakwe kushokope.”
48 And he said to her, Thy sins have been forgiven.
Bhai a Yeshu gubhaabhalanjile bhakongwebhala, “Nneshelelwele yambi yenu.”
49 And those who were at table with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that even forgiveth sins?
Penepo bhatemingenenabho pashalya bhala gwaabhuyenenje, “Bhenebha bhandu bhashi, bhaakombola nkali kuleshelela yambi?”
50 But he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.
Nabhalabho a Yeshu gubhaabhalanjile bhakongwe bhala, “Ngulupai jenu jintapwile, nnjende kwa ulele.”
