Luke 4
1 And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and was led in the Spirit in the wilderness
ଯୀଶୁ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୋଇ ଯର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ନଦୀରୁ ଫେରି ଆସିଲେ ଏବଂ ଚାଳିଶ ଦିନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ଚାଳିତ ହୋଇ ଶୟତାନ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପରୀକ୍ଷିତ ହେଉଥିଲେ।
2 forty days, tempted by the Devil. And he ate nothing in those days; and when they were ended, he was hungry.
ସେହି ସମସ୍ତ ଦିନ ସେ କିଛି ଖାଇଲେ ନାହିଁ, ଆଉ ସେହିସବୁ ଦିନ ଶେଷ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ, ସେ କ୍ଷୁଧିତ ହେଲେ।
3 And the Devil said to him, If thou art the Son of God, command this stone that it become a loaf of bread.
ସେଥିରେ ଶୟତାନ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେବେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର, ତେବେ ଏହି ପଥରକୁ ରୁଟି ହେବା ପାଇଁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦିଅ।
4 And Jesus answered him, It is written, “Not on bread alone shall man live.”
ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାକୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ପବିତ୍ର ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରରେ ଲେଖାଅଛି, ‘ମନୁଷ୍ୟ କେବଳ ରୁଟିରେ ବଞ୍ଚିବ ନାହିଁ।’”
5 And taking him up, he showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
ଆଉ ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଉପରକୁ ନେଇଯାଇ ଏକ ମୁହୂର୍ତ୍ତ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପୃଥିବୀର ସମସ୍ତ ରାଜ୍ୟ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖାଇଲା।
6 And the Devil said to him, All this power will I give thee, and their glory; because to me it hath been delivered, and I give it to whomever I will.
ପୁଣି, ଶୟତାନ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଏସମସ୍ତ ଅଧିକାର ଓ ଏସବୁର ଐଶ୍ୱର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଦେବା, କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ତାହା ସମର୍ପିତ ହୋଇଅଛି, ଆଉ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯାହାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା, ତାହାକୁ ତାହା ଦେଉ।
7 If thou then wilt worship me, it shall all be thine.
ଅତଏବ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେବେ ଆମ୍ଭ ଛାମୁରେ ପ୍ରଣାମ କରିବ, ତେବେ ସମସ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭର ହେବ।
8 And Jesus answering said to him, It is written, “Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”
ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାକୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ପବିତ୍ର ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରରେ ଲେଖାଅଛି, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଣାମ କରିବ, ଆଉ କେବଳ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଉପାସନା କରିବ।’”
9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, If thou art the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence;
ପୁଣି, ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରକୁ ନେଇଯାଇ ମନ୍ଦିରର ଛାତ ଉପରେ ଠିଆ କରାଇ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯଦି ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର, ତେବେ ଏଠାରୁ ତଳକୁ ଡେଇଁପଡ଼;
10 for it is written, “He will give his angels charge concerning thee, to guard thee;
କାରଣ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରରେ ଲେଖାଅଛି, “‘ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେ ଆପଣା ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିଷୟରେ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେବେ;
11 and in their hands they will bear thee up, that thou mayst not dash thy foot against a stone.”
ଆଉ ଲେଖାଅଛି, କାଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଦ ପଥରରେ ବାଜିବ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ହସ୍ତରେ ତୋଳି ଧରିବେ।’”
12 And Jesus answering said to him, It hath been said, “Thou shalt not make trial of the Lord thy God.”
ପୁଣି, ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାକୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରରେ ଏହା ମଧ୍ୟ ଲେଖାଅଛି, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କର ନାହିଁ।’”
13 And when he had brought every temptation to an end, the Devil departed from him for a season.
ଶୟତାନ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରକାର ପରୀକ୍ଷା ଶେଷ କଲା ପରେ କିଛି କାଳ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ି ଚାଲିଗଲା।
14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee; and there went out a report concerning him through all the surrounding country
ଏହାପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ଶକ୍ତିରେ ଗାଲିଲୀକୁ ଫେରିଗଲେ, ଆଉ ଚାରିଆଡ଼େ ସମସ୍ତ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଖ୍ୟାତି ବ୍ୟାପିଗଲା।
15 And he taught in their synagogues, honored by all.
ପୁଣି, ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ସମାଜଗୃହ ସମୂହରେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଇ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଗୌରବ ପାଇବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
16 And he came to Nazara, where he had been brought up, and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath-day; and stood up to read.
ସେ ଯେଉଁ ନାଜରିତରେ ପ୍ରତିପାଳିତ ହୋଇଥିଲେ, ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଇତିମଧ୍ୟରେ ଗଲେ ଓ ଆପଣା ରୀତି ଅନୁସାରେ ବିଶ୍ରାମବାର ଦିନରେ ସମାଜଗୃହରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କଲେ, ଆଉ ପାଠ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଠିଆ ହେଲେ।
17 And there was delivered to him the book of the prophet Isaiah; and unrolling the book, he found the place where it was written,
ସେଥିରେ ଯିଶାଇୟ ଭାବବାଦୀଙ୍କ ପୁସ୍ତକ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦିଆଗଲା, ଆଉ ସେ ତାହା ଫିଟାଇ, ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଏହି ବାକ୍ୟ ଲିଖିତ ଅଛି, ତାହା ପାଇଲେ,
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he anointed me to preach glad tidings to the poor; he hath sent me to proclaim deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty the oppressed,
“ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆତ୍ମା ମୋʼଠାରେ ଅଧିଷ୍ଠିତ, ଯେଣୁ ଦୀନହୀନମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ସୁସମାଚାର ପ୍ରଚାର କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେ ମୋତେ ଅଭିଷିକ୍ତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ବନ୍ଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ମୁକ୍ତି ଓ ଅନ୍ଧମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିଲାଭର ବିଷୟ ଘୋଷଣା କରିବାକୁ ପୁଣି, ଅତ୍ୟାଚାର ପାଉଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିବାକୁ,
19 to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
ଆଉ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ବର୍ଷ ଘୋଷଣା କରିବାକୁ ସେ ମୋତେ ପଠାଇଅଛନ୍ତି।”
20 And rolling up the book, he gave it back to the attendant, and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed upon him.
ପରେ ସେ ପୁସ୍ତକ ବନ୍ଦ କରି, ପରିଚାରକଙ୍କୁ ତାହା ଫେରାଇଦେଇ ବସିଲେ। ଆଉ ସମାଜଗୃହରେ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ତାହାଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ସ୍ଥିର ହୋଇ ରହିଲା।
21 And he began to say to them, To-day hath this scripture been fulfilled in your ears.
ପୁଣି, ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, “ଆଜି ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ରର ଏହି ବାକ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଶୁଣିବା ଅନୁସାରେ ସଫଳ ହେଲା।”
22 And they all spoke in his praise, and wondered at the words of grace which proceeded from his mouth; and they said, Is not this Joseph's son?
ଆଉ, ସମସ୍ତେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦେବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ମୁଖ ନିର୍ଗତ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହର ବାକ୍ୟରେ ଚମତ୍କୃତ ହେଲେ; ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ଏ କଅଣ ଯୋଷେଫର ପୁତ୍ର ନୁହେଁ?
23 And he said to them, Ye will doubtless say to me this proverb, “Physician, heal thyself;” whatever things we have heard of as having been done in Capernaum, do here too in thy own country.
ସେଥିରେ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ମୋତେ ଏହି ପ୍ରବାଦବାକ୍ୟ କହିବ, ‘ହେ ବୈଦ୍ୟ, ନିଜେ ନିଜକୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କର; କଫର୍ନାହୂମରେ ଯାହା ଯାହା ଘଟିଅଛି ବୋଲି ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶୁଣିଅଛୁ, ସେହିସବୁ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ନିଜ ପିତାଙ୍କ ନଗରରେ ମଧ୍ୟ କର।’”
24 And he said, Truly do I say to you, No prophet is acceptable in his own country.
ପୁଣି, ସେ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, କୌଣସି ଭାବବାଦୀ ନିଜ ପିତାଙ୍କ ନଗରରେ ଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ ହୁଅନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
25 But I tell you in truth, that there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, and there was a great famine throughout all the land;
କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, ଏଲୀୟଙ୍କ ସମୟରେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ତିନି ବର୍ଷ ଛଅ ମାସ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆକାଶ ବନ୍ଦ ହେବାରୁ ସମସ୍ତ ଦେଶରେ ମହାଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷ ପଡ଼ିଥିଲା, ସେତେବେଳେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଅନେକ ବିଧବା ଥିଲେ;
26 and yet to none of them was Elijah sent, but to Sarepta in Sidonia, to a woman that was a widow.
ତଥାପି ଏଲୀୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କର କାହାରି ନିକଟକୁ ପ୍ରେରିତ ନ ହୋଇ କେବଳ ସୀଦୋନ ଦେଶର ସାରିଫତକୁ ଜଣେ ବିଧବା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ନିକଟକୁ ପଠାଗଲେ।
27 And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and not one of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian.
ପୁଣି, ଭାବବାଦୀ ଇଲୀଶାୟଙ୍କ ସମୟରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଅନେକ କୁଷ୍ଠରୋଗୀମାନେ ଥିଲେ; ତଥାପି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେହି ଶୁଚି କରାଯାଇ ନ ଥିଲେ, କେବଳ ସିରିୟା ଦେଶୀୟ ନାମାନ ଶୁଚି କରାଯାଇଥିଲେ।”
28 And all in the synagogue, when they heard this, were filled with wrath.
ସମାଜଗୃହରେ ଏହିସବୁ କଥା ଶୁଣୁ ଶୁଣୁ ସମସ୍ତେ କ୍ରୋଧରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହେଲେ,
29 And they rose up, and forced him out of the city and took him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, to cast him down headlong;
ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ଉଠି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ନଗରରୁ ବାହାର କରିଦେଲେ ଏବଂ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ନଗର ଯେଉଁ ପର୍ବତ ଉପରେ ସ୍ଥାପିତ ଥିଲା, ସେହି ପର୍ବତ ଉପରୁ ତଳକୁ ପକାଇଦେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାହାକୁ ସେଠାକୁ ନେଇଗଲେ;
30 but he, passing through the midst of them, went away.
କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟ ଦେଇ ଗମନ କରି ଚାଲିଗଲେ।
31 And he came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the sabbath.
ଯୀଶୁ କଫର୍ନାହୂମ ନାମକ ଗାଲିଲୀର ଗୋଟିଏ ନଗରକୁ ଆସିଲେ, ପୁଣି, ବିଶ୍ରାମବାରମାନଙ୍କରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ,
32 And they were astonished at his teaching; for his word was with authority.
ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଶିକ୍ଷାରେ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟାନ୍ୱିତ ହେଲେ, କାରଣ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ ଅଧିକାରଯୁକ୍ତ ଥିଲା।
33 And in the synagogue there was a man having a spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice,
ଦିନେ ସମାଜଗୃହରେ ଜଣେ ଅଶୁଚି ଭୂତାତ୍ମାବିଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକ ଥିଲା; ସେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱରରେ ଚିତ୍କାର କଲା,
34 Ha! what have we to do with thee, Jesus of Nazareth? Thou hast come to destroy us. I know who thou art, the Holy One of God.
ଆଃ, ନାଜରିତୀୟ ଯୀଶୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର କଅଣ ଅଛି? ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନାଶ କରିବାକୁ ଆସିଲ? ତୁମ୍ଭେ କିଏ ତାହା ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ସେହି ପବିତ୍ର ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି।
35 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be silent, and come out of him. And the demon threw him down in the midst, and came out of him, having done him no hurt.
ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାକୁ ଧମକ ଦେଇ କହିଲେ “ଚୁପ୍ କର୍, ଏହାଠାରୁ ବାହାରିଯା।” ସେଥିରେ ସେହି ଭୂତ ତାହାକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ପକାଇଦେଇ ତାହାର କୌଣସି କ୍ଷତି ନ କରି ତାହାଠାରୁ ବାହାରିଗଲା।
36 And all were amazed; and they spoke with one another, saying, What kind of word is this, that with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out?
ଏଥିରେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ ହୋଇ ପରସ୍ପର କୁହାକୋହି ହେଲେ, ଏ କି କଥା? ସେ ଅଶୁଚି ଆତ୍ମାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଧିକାର ଓ ଶକ୍ତି ସହିତ ଆଦେଶ ଦିଅନ୍ତି, ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ବାହାରିଯାଆନ୍ତି।
37 And there went out a report concerning him into every place of the surrounding country.
ସେଥିରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ସମାଚାର ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗସ୍ଥ ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ସବୁଆଡ଼େ ବ୍ୟାପିଗଲା।
38 And he arose and went from the synagogue into the house of Simon. And Simon's wife's mother was seized with a great fever; and they besought him for her.
ପରେ ସେ ସମାଜଗୃହରୁ ଉଠି ଶିମୋନଙ୍କ ଘରକୁ ଗଲେ। ଶିମୋନଙ୍କ ଶାଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଭୟଙ୍କର ଜ୍ୱର ହୋଇଥିଲା, ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁରୋଧ କଲେ।
39 And standing over her, he rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and waited on them.
ସେଥିରେ ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ଜ୍ୱରକୁ ଧମକ ଦେଲେ, ଆଉ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଜ୍ୱର ଛାଡ଼ିଗଲା, ପୁଣି, ସେ ସେହିକ୍ଷଣି ଉଠି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସେବା କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
40 And when the sun was setting, all who had any sick with divers diseases brought them to him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.
ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଅସ୍ତ ହେବା ସମୟରେ, ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ନାନା ପ୍ରକାର ରୋଗରେ ପୀଡ଼ିତ ଲୋକମାନେ ଥିଲେ, ସେ ସମସ୍ତେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିଲେ ଏବଂ ସେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଜଣ ଉପରେ ହାତ ଥୋଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କଲେ।
41 And demons also came out from many, crying out, and saying, Thou art the Son of God. And he rebuked them, and did not suffer them to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.
ପୁଣି, ଭୂତମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଚିତ୍କାର କରୁ କରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ବୋଲି କହି ଅନେକଙ୍କଠାରୁ ବାହାରିଗଲେ। ଆଉ, ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧମକ ଦେଇ କଥା କହିବାକୁ ଦେଲେ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ସେ ଯେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ, ଏହା ସେମାନେ ଜାଣିଥିଲେ।
42 And when it was day, he went out, and betook himself to a desert place; and the multitudes went in search of him; and they came to him, and would have prevented him from leaving them.
ସକାଳ ହେବାରୁ, ସେ ବାହାରି ଏକ ନିର୍ଜନ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଗଲେ; ଆଉ, ଲୋକସମୂହ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଖୋଜି ଖୋଜି ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲେ, ପୁଣି, ସେ ଯେପରି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖରୁ ଚାଲି ନ ଯାଆନ୍ତି, ସେଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଅଟକାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କଲେ।
43 But he said to them, I must publish the good tidings of the kingdom of God to the other cities also; because for this I was sent forth.
କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ନଗରରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ମୋତେ ଅବଶ୍ୟ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟର ସୁସମାଚାର ପ୍ରଚାର କରିବାକୁ ହେବ, କାରଣ ସେଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ ପଠାଯାଇଅଛି।”
44 And he continued to preach in the synagogues of Galilee.
ପୁଣି, ସେ ଯିହୂଦିୟା ପ୍ରଦେଶର ସମାଜଗୃହମାନଙ୍କରେ ପ୍ରଚାର କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
