Luke 3
1 Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene,
तिबिरियुस रोम को राज्य को पन्द्रावों साल म जब पुन्तियुस पिलातुस यहूदिया को शासक होतो, अऊर गलील म हेरोदेस, इतूरैया अऊर त्रखोनीतिस म ओको भाऊ फिलिप्पुस, अऊर अबिलेने म लिसानियास, चौथाई को राजा होतो,
2 when Annas and Caiaphas were high-priests, the word of God came to John, the son of Zachariah, in the wilderness.
अऊर जब हन्ना अऊर कैफा महायाजक होतो, ऊ समय परमेश्वर को वचन सुनसान जागा म जकर्याह को बेटा यूहन्ना बपतिस्मा देन वालो को जवर पहुंच्यो।
3 And he came into all the country about the Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;
ऊ यरदन को आजु बाजू को पूरो प्रदेश म जाय क, अपनो पापों की माफी लायी मन फिराव को बपतिस्मा को प्रचार करन लग्यो।
4 as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths!
जसो यशायाह भविष्यवक्ता को कह्यो हुयो वचनों की किताब म लिख्यो हय: “जंगल म एक पुकारन वालो को आवाज आय रह्यो हय कि, ‘प्रभु को रस्ता तैयार करो, ओकी सड़के सीधी बनावो।
5 Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked places shall be made straight, and the rough ways smooth;
हर एक घाटी भर दी जायेंन, अऊर हर एक पहाड़ी अऊर टेकरा सवान कर दियो जायेंन; अऊर जो तेड़ो हय सीधो कर दियो जायेंन, अऊर जो उबड़ खाबड़ हय सवान कर दियो जायेंन, अऊर ऊ रस्ता चौड़ो बनेंन।
6 and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.”
अऊर हर प्रानी परमेश्वर को उद्धार ख देखेंन।’”
7 He said therefore to the multitudes that came forth to be baptized by him, Brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?
जो भीड़ की भीड़ ओको सी बपतिस्मा लेन ख निकल क आवत होती, उन्को सी यूहन्ना कहत होतो, “हे सांप को पिल्ला, तुम्ख कौन जताय दियो कि आवन वालो गुस्सा सी भगो।
8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance; and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham for our father; for I say to you, that God is able out of these stones to raise up children to Abraham.
असी बाते करो जो अपनो पश्चाताप ख दर्शावय, अऊर अपनो अपनो मन म यो मत सोचो कि हमरो बाप अब्राहम आय; कहालीकि मय तुम सी सच कहू हय कि परमेश्वर इन गोटा सी अब्राहम लायी सन्तान पैदा कर सकय हय।
9 And already also is the axe lying at the root of the trees; every tree therefore that beareth not good fruit is to be cut down, and cast into the fire.
अब टंग्या झाड़ों की जड़ी पर रख्यो हुयो हय, येकोलायी जो जो झाड़ अच्छो फर नहीं लावय, ऊ काट्यो अऊर आगी म झोक्यो जावय हय।”
10 And the multitudes asked him, saying, What then must we do?
तब लोगों न ओको सी पुच्छ्यो, “त हम का करबो?”
11 He answered and said to them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath food, let him do likewise.
ओन उन्ख उत्तर दियो, “जिन्को जवर दोय कुरता होना, ऊ ओको संग जिन्को जवर नहाय ऊ बाट लेवो अऊर जिन्को जवर भोजन होना, ऊ भी असोच करे।”
12 And there came also publicans to be baptized, and said to him, Teacher, what must we do?
कर लेनवालो भी बपतिस्मा लेन आयो, अऊर ओको सी पुच्छ्यो, “हे गुरु, हम का करबो?”
13 And he said to them, Exact no more than hath been ordered you.
ओन ओको सी कह्यो, “जो तुम्हरो लायी ठहरायो गयो हय, ओको सी जादा मत लेवो।”
14 And soldiers also asked him, saying, And what must we do? And he said to them, Do violence to no one, accuse no one falsely, and be content with your wages.
कुछ सिपाहियों न भी ओको सी यो पुच्छ्यो, “हम का करबो?” ओन उन्को सी कह्यो, “कोयी सी जबरदस्ती पैसा नहीं लेनो अऊर नहीं झूठो दोष लगावनो, अऊर अपनो रोजी पर सन्तुष्ट रहनो।”
15 And while the people were in expectation, and all were considering in their hearts concerning John, whether he were the Christ,
जब लोग आस लगायो हुयो होतो, अऊर सब अपनो अपनो मन म यूहन्ना को बारे म बिचार कर रह्यो होतो कि का योच मसीह त नोहोय,
16 John answered and said to them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but he who is mightier than I is coming, the latchet of whose sandals I am not worthy to loose; he will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire.
त यूहन्ना न उन सब सी कह्यो, “मय त तुम्ख पानी सी बपतिस्मा देऊ हय, पर ऊ आवन वालो हय जो मोरो सी शक्तिमान हय; मय त यो लायक भी नहाय कि ओको चप्पल को बन्ध निकाल सकू। ऊ तुम्ख पवित्र आत्मा अऊर आगी सी बपतिस्मा देयेंन।
17 His winnowing-shovel is in his hand to thoroughly cleanse his threshing-floor, and gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn up with unquenchable fire.
ओको सूपा, ओको हाथ म हय; अऊर ऊ अपनो खरियान अच्छो तरह सी साफ करेंन; अऊर गहूं ख अपनो ढोला म जमा करेंन; पर भूसी ख वा आगी म जो बुझन कि नहीं जलाय देयेंन।”
18 And giving many other exhortations he published the glad tidings to the people.
येकोलायी यूहन्ना बहुत सी चेतावनी दे क लोगों ख सुसमाचार सुनावत होतो कि अपनो रस्ता ख बदले।
19 But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him on account of Herodias the wife of his brother, and on account of all the evil deeds which Herod had done,
पर जब यूहन्ना न चौथाई देश को राजा हेरोदेस ख ओको भाऊ फिलिप्पुस कि पत्नी हेरोदियास को बारे म अऊर सब अपराधो को बारे म जो ओन करयो होतो, फटकार लगायी,
20 added this also to them all, that he shut up John in prison.
त हेरोदेस न उन सब सी बड़ क यो अपराध भी करयो कि यूहन्ना ख जेलखाना म डाल दियो।
21 And it came to pass, when all the people had been baptized, and Jesus also had been baptized, and was praying, that the heaven was opened,
जब सब लोगों न बपतिस्मा लियो अऊर यीशु भी बपतिस्मा ले क प्रार्थना कर रह्यो होतो, त आसमान खुल गयो,
22 and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in a bodily shape as a dove; and a voice came from heaven: “Thou art my beloved Son; with thee I am well pleased.”
अऊर पवित्र आत्मा शारीरिक रूप म कबूत्तर को जसो ओको पर उतरयो, अऊर स्वर्ग सी या आकाशवानी भयी: “तय मोरो प्रिय बेटा आय, मय तोरो सी खुश हय।”
23 And Jesus himself was, when he began, about thirty years of age, being, as was supposed, the son of Joseph, who was the son of Heli,
जब यीशु खुद उपदेश करन लग्यो, त लगभग तीस साल की उमर को होतो अऊर जसो समझ्यो जात होतो यूसुफ को बेटा होतो; अऊर ऊ एली को,
24 who was the son of Matthath, who was the son of Levi, who was the son of Melchi, who was the son of Jannai, who was the son of Joseph,
अऊर ऊ मत्तात को टुरा, अऊर ऊ लेवी को टुरा, अऊर ऊ मलकी को टुरा, अऊर ऊ यन्ना को टुरा, अऊर ऊ यूसुफ को टुरा,
25 who was the son of Mattathias, who was the son of Amos, who was the son of Nahum, who was the son of Esli, who was the son of Naggai,
अऊर ऊ मत्तित्याह को टुरा, अऊर ऊ आमोस को टुरा, अऊर ऊ नहूम को टुरा, अऊर ऊ असल्याह को टुरा, अऊर ऊ नोगह को टुरा,
26 who was the son of Maath, who was the son of Mattathias, who was the son of Shimei, who was the son of Josech, who was the son of Joda,
अऊर ऊ मात को टुरा, अऊर ऊ मत्तित्याह को टुरा, अऊर ऊ शिमी को टुरा, अऊर ऊ योसेख को टुरा, अऊर ऊ योदाह को टुरा,
27 who was the son of Joanan, who was the son of Rhesa, who was the son of Zerubbabel, who was the son of Shealtiel, who was the son of Neri,
अऊर ऊ यूहन्ना को टुरा, अऊर ऊ रेसा को टुरा, अऊर ऊ जरुब्बाबिल को टुरा, अऊर ऊ शालतिएल को टुरा, अऊर ऊ नेरी को टुरा,
28 who was the son of Melchi, who was the son of Addi, who was the son of Kosam, who was the son of Elmadam, who was the son of Er,
अऊर ऊ मलकी को टुरा, अऊर ऊ अद्दी को टुरा, अऊर ऊ कोसाम को टुरा, अऊर ऊ इलमोदाम को टुरा, अऊर ऊ एर को टुरा,
29 who was the son of Jesus, who was the son of Eliezer, who was the son of Jorim, who was the son of Matthath, who was the son of Levi,
अऊर ऊ यहोशू को टुरा, अऊर ऊ इलाजार को टुरा, अऊर ऊ योरीम को टुरा, अऊर ऊ मत्तात को टुरा, अऊर ऊ लेवी को टुरा,
30 who was the son of Simeon, who was the son of Judah, who was the son of Joseph, who was the son of Jonam, who was the son of Eliakim,
अऊर ऊ शिमोन को टुरा, अऊर ऊ यहूदा को टुरा, अऊर ऊ यूसुफ को टुरा, अऊर ऊ योनान को टुरा, अऊर ऊ इलियाकीम को टुरा,
31 who was the son of Melea, who was the son of Menna, who was the son of Mattatha, who was the son of Nathan, who was the son of David,
अऊर ऊ मलेआह को टुरा, अऊर ऊ मिन्नाह को टुरा, अऊर ऊ मत्तता को टुरा, अऊर ऊ नातान को टुरा, अऊर ऊ दाऊद को टुरा,
32 who was the son of Jesse, who was the son of Obed, who was the son of Boaz, who was the son of Salma, who was the son of Nahshon,
अऊर ऊ यिशै को टुरा, अऊर ऊ ओबेद को टुरा, अऊर ऊ बोअज को टुरा, अऊर ऊ सलमोन को टुरा, अऊर ऊ नहशोन को टुरा,
33 who was the son of Amminadab, who was the son of Admin, who was the son of Arni, who was the son of Hezron, who was the son of Pharez, who was the son of Judah,
अऊर ऊ अम्मीनादाब को टुरा, अऊर ऊ अरनी को टुरा, अऊर ऊ हिस्रोन को टुरा, अऊर ऊ फिरिस को टुरा, अऊर ऊ यहूदा को टुरा,
34 who was the son of Jacob, who was the son of Isaac, who was the son of Abraham, who was the son of Terah, who was the son of Nahor,
अऊर ऊ याकूब को टुरा, अऊर ऊ इसहाक को टुरा, अऊर ऊ अब्राहम को टुरा, अऊर ऊ तिरह को टुरा, अऊर ऊ नाहोर को टुरा,
35 who was the son of Serug, who was the son of Reu, who was the son of Peleg, who was the son of Eber, who was the son of Shelah,
अऊर ऊ सरूग को टुरा, अऊर ऊ रऊ को टुरा, अऊर ऊ फिलिग को टुरा, अऊर ऊ एबिर को टुरा, अऊर ऊ शिलह को टुरा,
36 who was the son of Cainan, who was the son of Arphaxad, who was the son of Shem, who was the son of Noah, who was the son of Lamech,
अऊर ऊ केनान को टुरा, अऊर ऊ अरफक्षद को टुरा, अऊर ऊ शेम को टुरा, अऊर ऊ नूह को टुरा, अऊर ऊ लिमिक को टुरा,
37 who was the son of Methuselah, who was the son of Enoch, who was the son of Jared, who was the son of Mahalaleel, who was the son of Cainan,
अऊर ऊ मथूशिलह को टुरा, अऊर ऊ हनोक को टुरा, अऊर ऊ यिरिद को टुरा, अऊर ऊ महललेल को टुरा, अऊर ऊ केनान को टुरा,
38 who was the son of Enos, who was the son of Seth, who was the son of Adam, who was the son of God.
अऊर ऊ एनोश को टुरा, अऊर ऊ शेत को टुरा, अऊर ऊ आदम को टुरा, अऊर ऊ परमेश्वर को टुरा होतो।
