Luke 22
1 Now the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the passover, was drawing near;
අපරඤ්ච කිණ්වශූන්‍යපූපෝත්සවස්‍ය කාල උපස්ථිතේ
2 and the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they might kill him; for they feared the people.
ප්‍රධානයාජකා අධ්‍යායකාශ්ච යථා තං හන්තුං ශක්නුවන්ති තථෝපායාම් අචේෂ්ටන්ත කින්තු ලෝකේභ්‍යෝ බිභ්‍යුඃ|
3 And Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve.
ඒතස්තින් සමයේ ද්වාදශශිෂ්‍යේෂු ගණිත ඊෂ්කරියෝතීයරූඪිමාන් යෝ යිහූදාස්තස්‍යාන්තඃකරණං ශෛතානාශ්‍රිතත්වාත්
4 And he went away, and consulted with the chief priests and captains, how he might deliver him up to them.
ස ගත්වා යථා යීශුං තේෂාං කරේෂු සමර්පයිතුං ශක්නෝති තථා මන්ත්‍රණාං ප්‍රධානයාජකෛඃ සේනාපතිභිශ්ච සහ චකාර|
5 And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.
තේන තේ තුෂ්ටාස්තස්මෛ මුද්‍රාං දාතුං පණං චක්‍රුඃ|
6 And he agreed with them, and sought a good opportunity to deliver him up to them in the absence of the multitude.
තතඃ සෝඞ්ගීකෘත්‍ය යථා ලෝකානාමගෝචරේ තං පරකරේෂු සමර්පයිතුං ශක්නෝති තථාවකාශං චේෂ්ටිතුමාරේභේ|
7 Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed;
අථ කිණ්වශූන්‍යපූපෝත්මවදිනේ, අර්ථාත් යස්මින් දිනේ නිස්තාරෝත්සවස්‍ය මේෂෝ හන්තව්‍යස්තස්මින් දිනේ
8 and he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and make ready for us the passover, that we may eat it.
යීශුඃ පිතරං යෝහනඤ්චාහූය ජගාද, යුවාං ගත්වාස්මාකං භෝජනාර්ථං නිස්තාරෝත්සවස්‍ය ද්‍රව්‍යාණ්‍යාසාදයතං|
9 And they said to him, Where wilt thou that we make it ready?
තදා තෞ පප්‍රච්ඡතුඃ කුචාසාදයාවෝ භවතඃ කේච්ඡා?
10 And he said to them, Lo! when ye have entered the city, there will meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he goeth in;
තදා සෝවාදීත්, නගරේ ප්‍රවිෂ්ටේ කශ්චිජ්ජලකුම්භමාදාය යුවාං සාක්‍ෂාත් කරිෂ්‍යති ස යන්නිවේශනං ප්‍රවිශති යුවාමපි තන්නිවේශනං තත්පශ්චාදිත්වා නිවේශනපතිම් ඉති වාක්‍යං වදතං,
11 and ye shall say to the master of the house, The Teacher saith to thee, Where is the guest-chamber, where I may eat the passover with my disciples?
යත්‍රාහං නිස්තාරෝත්සවස්‍ය භෝජ්‍යං ශිෂ්‍යෛඃ සාර්ද්ධං භෝක්තුං ශක්නෝමි සාතිථිශාලා කුත්‍ර? කථාමිමාං ප්‍රභුස්ත්වාං පෘච්ඡති|
12 And he will show you a large upper room furnished; there make ready.
තතඃ ස ජනෝ ද්විතීයප්‍රකෝෂ්ඨීයම් ඒකං ශස්තං කෝෂ්ඨං දර්ශයිෂ්‍යති තත්‍ර භෝජ්‍යමාසාදයතං|
13 And they went and found as he had said to them; and they made ready the passover.
තතස්තෞ ගත්වා තද්වාක්‍යානුසාරේණ සර්ව්වං දෘෂ්ද්වා තත්‍ර නිස්තාරෝත්සවීයං භෝජ්‍යමාසාදයාමාසතුඃ|
14 And when the hour had come, he placed himself at table, and the apostles with him.
අථ කාල උපස්ථිතේ යීශු ර්ද්වාදශභිඃ ප්‍රේරිතෛඃ සහ භෝක්තුමුපවිශ්‍ය කථිතවාන්
15 And he said to them, Earnestly have I desired to eat this passover with you, before I suffer.
මම දුඃඛභෝගාත් පූර්ව්වං යුභාභිඃ සහ නිස්තාරෝත්සවස්‍යෛතස්‍ය භෝජ්‍යං භෝක්තුං මයාතිවාඤ්ඡා කෘතා|
16 For I say to you, that I shall eat it no more, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
යුෂ්මාන් වදාමි, යාවත්කාලම් ඊශ්වරරාජ්‍යේ භෝජනං න කරිෂ්‍යේ තාවත්කාලම් ඉදං න භෝක්‍ෂ්‍යේ|
17 And he took a cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves.
තදා ස පානපාත්‍රමාදාය ඊශ්වරස්‍ය ගුණාන් කීර්ත්තයිත්වා තේභ්‍යෝ දත්වාවදත්, ඉදං ගෘහ්ලීත යූයං විභජ්‍ය පිවත|
18 For I say to you, that I shall not drink henceforth of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall have come.
යුෂ්මාන් වදාමි යාවත්කාලම් ඊශ්වරරාජත්වස්‍ය සංස්ථාපනං න භවති තාවද් ද්‍රාක්‍ෂාඵලරසං න පාස්‍යාමි|
19 And he took a loaf, and gave thanks, and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, This is my body, which is given for you; this do in remembrance of me.
තතඃ පූපං ගෘහීත්වා ඊශ්වරගුණාන් කීර්ත්තයිත්වා භඞ්ක්තා තේභ්‍යෝ දත්වාවදත්, යුෂ්මදර්ථං සමර්පිතං යන්මම වපුස්තදිදං, ඒතත් කර්ම්ම මම ස්මරණාර්ථං කුරුධ්වං|
20 And in like manner he took the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is about to be shed for you.
අථ භෝජනාන්තේ තාදෘශං පාත්‍රං ගෘහීත්වාවදත්, යුෂ්මත්කෘතේ පාතිතං යන්මම රක්තං තේන නිර්ණීතනවනියමරූපං පානපාත්‍රමිදං|
21 But lo! the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.
පශ්‍යත යෝ මාං පරකරේෂු සමර්පයිෂ්‍යති ස මයා සහ භෝජනාසන උපවිශති|
22 For the Son of man indeed goeth away, as it hath been determined; but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed.
යථා නිරූපිතමාස්තේ තදනුසාරේණා මනුෂ්‍යපුත්‍රස්‍ය ගති ර්භවිෂ්‍යති කින්තු යස්තං පරකරේෂු සමර්පයිෂ්‍යති තස්‍ය සන්තාපෝ භවිෂ්‍යති|
23 And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it was that was about to do this.
තදා තේෂාං කෝ ජන ඒතත් කර්ම්ම කරිෂ්‍යති තත් තේ පරස්පරං ප්‍රෂ්ටුමාරේභිරේ|
24 And there arose also a contention among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.
අපරං තේෂාං කෝ ජනඃ ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨත්වේන ගණයිෂ්‍යතේ, අත්‍රාර්ථේ තේෂාං විවාදෝභවත්|
25 And he said to them, The kings of the nations rule as lords over them, and they who exercise authority over them are called benefactors.
අස්මාත් කාරණාත් සෝවදත්, අන්‍යදේශීයානාං රාජානඃ ප්‍රජානාමුපරි ප්‍රභුත්වං කුර්ව්වන්ති දාරුණශාසනං කෘත්වාපි තේ භූපතිත්වේන විඛ්‍යාතා භවන්ති ච|
26 But it is not to be so with you; but let the greatest among you be as the youngest; and he that is chief, as he that serveth.
කින්තු යුෂ්මාකං තථා න භවිෂ්‍යති, යෝ යුෂ්මාකං ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨෝ භවිෂ්‍යති ස කනිෂ්ඨවද් භවතු, යශ්ච මුඛ්‍යෝ භවිෂ්‍යති ස සේවකවද්භවතු|
27 For which is greater? he who reclineth at the table, or he who serveth? Is not he that reclineth at the table? But I am in the midst of you as he who serveth.
භෝජනෝපවිෂ්ටපරිචාරකයෝඃ කඃ ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨඃ? යෝ භෝජනායෝපවිශති ස කිං ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨෝ න භවති? කින්තු යුෂ්මාකං මධ්‍යේ(අ)හං පරිචාරකඉවාස්මි|
28 Ye however are they who have continued steadfastly with me in my trials.
අපරඤ්ච යුයං මම පරීක්‍ෂාකාලේ ප්‍රථමමාරභ්‍ය මයා සහ ස්ථිතා
29 And I appoint to you a kingdom, as my Father appointed to me;
ඒතත්කාරණාත් පිත්‍රා යථා මදර්ථං රාජ්‍යමේකං නිරූපිතං තථාහමපි යුෂ්මදර්ථං රාජ්‍යං නිරූපයාමි|
30 that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom; and ye shall sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
තස්මාන් මම රාජ්‍යේ භෝජනාසනේ ච භෝජනපානේ කරිෂ්‍යධ්වේ සිංහාසනේෂූපවිශ්‍ය චේස්‍රායේලීයානාං ද්වාදශවංශානාං විචාරං කරිෂ්‍යධ්වේ|
31 Simon, Simon, lo! Satan hath asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.
අපරං ප්‍රභුරුවාච, හේ ශිමෝන් පශ්‍ය තිතඋනා ධාන්‍යානීව යුෂ්මාන් ශෛතාන් චාලයිතුම් ඓච්ඡත්,
32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not. And do thou, when thou hast returned to me, strengthen thy brethren.
කින්තු තව විශ්වාසස්‍ය ලෝපෝ යථා න භවති ඒතත් ත්වදර්ථං ප්‍රාර්ථිතං මයා, ත්වන්මනසි පරිවර්ත්තිතේ ච භ්‍රාතෘණාං මනාංසි ස්ථිරීකුරු|
33 And he said to him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee both to prison and to death.
තදා සෝවදත්, හේ ප්‍රභෝහං ත්වයා සාර්ද්ධං කාරාං මෘතිඤ්ච යාතුං මජ්ජිතෝස්මි|
34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, a cock will not crow this day, till thou hast thrice denied that thou knowest me.
තතඃ ස උවාච, හේ පිතර ත්වාං වදාමි, අද්‍ය කුක්කුටරවාත් පූර්ව්වං ත්වං මත්පරිචයං වාරත්‍රයම් අපහ්වෝෂ්‍යසේ|
35 And he said to them, When I sent you without purse, or bag, or sandals, were ye in need of anything? And they said, Of nothing. Then he said to them,
අපරං ස පප්‍රච්ඡ, යදා මුද්‍රාසම්පුටං ඛාද්‍යපාත්‍රං පාදුකාඤ්ච විනා යුෂ්මාන් ප්‍රාහිණවං තදා යුෂ්මාකං කස්‍යාපි න්‍යූනතාසීත්? තේ ප්‍රෝචුඃ කස්‍යාපි න|
36 But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise a bag; and he that hath not, let him sell his garment, and buy a sword.
තදා සෝවදත් කින්ත්විදානීං මුද්‍රාසම්පුටං ඛාද්‍යපාත්‍රං වා යස්‍යාස්ති තේන තද්ග්‍රහීතව්‍යං, යස්‍ය ච කෘපාණෝ නාස්ති තේන ස්වවස්ත්‍රං වික්‍රීය ස ක්‍රේතව්‍යඃ|
37 For I say to you, that this which is written must be accomplished in me: “And he was reckoned among transgressors.” For that which concerneth me also hath an end.
යතෝ යුෂ්මානහං වදාමි, අපරාධිජනෛඃ සාර්ද්ධං ගණිතඃ ස භවිෂ්‍යති| ඉදං යච්ඡාස්ත්‍රීයං වචනං ලිඛිතමස්ති තන්මයි ඵලිෂ්‍යති යතෝ මම සම්බන්ධීයං සර්ව්වං සේත්ස්‍යති|
38 And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said to him, It is enough!
තදා තේ ප්‍රෝචුඃ ප්‍රභෝ පශ්‍ය ඉමෞ කෘපාණෞ| තතඃ සෝවදද් ඒතෞ යථේෂ්ටෞ|
39 And going out, he went, as he was wont, to the Mount of Olives; and the disciples followed him.
අථ ස තස්මාද්වහි ර්ගත්වා ස්වාචාරානුසාරේණ ජෛතුනනාමාද්‍රිං ජගාම ශිෂ්‍යාශ්ච තත්පශ්චාද් යයුඃ|
40 And when he was at the place, he said to them, Pray that ye may not enter into temptation.
තත්‍රෝපස්ථාය ස තානුවාච, යථා පරීක්‍ෂායාං න පතථ තදර්ථං ප්‍රාර්ථයධ්වං|
41 And he withdrew from them about a stone's throw; and kneeling down he prayed,
පශ්චාත් ස තස්මාද් ඒකශරක්‍ෂේපාද් බහි ර්ගත්වා ජානුනී පාතයිත්වා ඒතත් ප්‍රාර්ථයාඤ්චක්‍රේ,
42 saying, Father, if thou art willing to remove this cup from me—yet not my will, but thine be done!
හේ පිත ර‍්‍යදි භවාන් සම්මන්‍යතේ තර්හි කංසමේනං මමාන්තිකාද් දූරය කින්තු මදිච්ඡානුරූපං න ත්වදිච්ඡානුරූපං භවතු|
43 And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him.
තදා තස්මෛ ශක්තිං දාතුං ස්වර්ගීයදූතෝ දර්ශනං දදෞ|
44 And being in an agony, he prayed more earnestly. And his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling to the ground.
පශ්චාත් සෝත්‍යන්තං යාතනයා ව්‍යාකුලෝ භූත්වා පුනර්දෘඪං ප්‍රාර්ථයාඤ්චක්‍රේ, තස්මාද් බෘහච්ඡෝණිතබින්දව ඉව තස්‍ය ස්වේදබින්දවඃ පෘථිව්‍යාං පතිතුමාරේභිරේ|
45 And rising up from prayer, he came to the disciples, and found them sleeping for sorrow,
අථ ප්‍රාර්ථනාත උත්ථාය ශිෂ්‍යාණාං සමීපමේත්‍ය තාන් මනෝදුඃඛිනෝ නිද්‍රිතාන් දෘෂ්ට්වාවදත්
46 and said to them, Why sleep ye? Rise, and pray that ye may not enter into temptation.
කුතෝ නිද්‍රාථ? පරීක්‍ෂායාම් අපතනාර්ථං ප්‍රර්ථයධ්වං|
47 While he was yet speaking, lo! a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, was at the head of them; and he drew near to Jesus to kiss him.
ඒතත්කථායාඃ කථනකාලේ ද්වාදශශිෂ්‍යාණාං මධ්‍යේ ගණිතෝ යිහූදානාමා ජනතාසහිතස්තේෂාම් අග්‍රේ චලිත්වා යීශෝශ්චුම්බනාර්ථං තදන්තිකම් ආයයෞ|
48 But Jesus said to him, Judas, dost thou betray the Son of man with a kiss?
තදා යීශුරුවාච, හේ යිහූදා කිං චුම්බනේන මනුෂ්‍යපුත්‍රං පරකරේෂු සමර්පයසි?
49 And they who were about him, seeing what would follow, said, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
තදා යද්‍යද් ඝටිෂ්‍යතේ තදනුමාය සඞ්ගිභිරුක්තං, හේ ප්‍රභෝ වයං කි ඛඞ්ගේන ඝාතයිෂ්‍යාමඃ?
50 And one of them smote the servant of the high-priest, and cut off his right ear.
තත ඒකඃ කරවාලේනාහත්‍ය ප්‍රධානයාජකස්‍ය දාසස්‍ය දක්‍ෂිණං කර්ණං චිච්ඡේද|
51 But Jesus answering said, Permit thus far; and touched his ear, and healed him.
අධූනා නිවර්ත්තස්ව ඉත්‍යුක්ත්වා යීශුස්තස්‍ය ශ්‍රුතිං ස්පෘෂ්ට්වා ස්වස්‍යං චකාර|
52 Then Jesus said to the chief priests and captains of the temple and elders who had come to him, Ye have come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs;
පශ්චාද් යීශුඃ සමීපස්ථාන් ප්‍රධානයාජකාන් මන්දිරස්‍ය සේනාපතීන් ප්‍රාචීනාංශ්ච ජගාද, යූයං කෘපාණාන් යෂ්ටීංශ්ච ගෘහීත්වා මාං කිං චෝරං ධර්ත්තුමායාතාඃ?
53 when I was daily with you in the temple, ye did not put forth your hands against me; but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
යදාහං යුෂ්මාභිඃ සහ ප්‍රතිදිනං මන්දිරේ(අ)තිෂ්ඨං තදා මාං ධර්ත්තං න ප්‍රවෘත්තාඃ, කින්ත්විදානීං යුෂ්මාකං සමයෝන්ධකාරස්‍ය චාධිපත්‍යමස්ති|
54 And they seized him, and led him away, and brought him into the house of the high-priest. And Peter followed afar off.
අථ තේ තං ධෘත්වා මහායාජකස්‍ය නිවේශනං නින්‍යුඃ| තතඃ පිතරෝ දූරේ දූරේ පශ්චාදිත්වා
55 And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the court, and had sat down together, Peter sat down among them.
බෘහත්කෝෂ්ඨස්‍ය මධ්‍යේ යත්‍රාග්නිං ජ්වාලයිත්වා ලෝකාඃ සමේත්‍යෝපවිෂ්ටාස්තත්‍ර තෛඃ සාර්ද්ධම් උපවිවේශ|
56 But a certain maid-servant saw him sitting at the fire, and steadily looking at him said, This man also was with him.
අථ වහ්නිසන්නිධෞ සමුපවේශකාලේ කාචිද්දාසී මනෝ නිවිශ්‍ය තං නිරීක්‍ෂ්‍යාවදත් පුමානයං තස්‍ය සඞ්ගේ(අ)ස්ථාත්|
57 And he denied him, saying, Woman, I do not know him.
කින්තු ස තද් අපහ්නුත්‍යාවාදීත් හේ නාරි තමහං න පරිචිනෝමි|
58 And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou also art one of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not.
ක්‍ෂණාන්තරේ(අ)න්‍යජනස්තං දෘෂ්ට්වාබ්‍රවීත් ත්වමපි තේෂාං නිකරස්‍යෛකජනෝසි| පිතරඃ ප්‍රත්‍යුවාච හේ නර නාහමස්මි|
59 And in about one hour's time, another confidently affirmed, saying, In truth this man also was with him; for he is a Galilaean.
තතඃ සාර්ද්ධදණ්ඩද්වයාත් පරං පුනරන්‍යෝ ජනෝ නිශ්චිත්‍ය බභාෂේ, ඒෂ තස්‍ය සඞ්ගීති සත්‍යං යතෝයං ගාලීලීයෝ ලෝකඃ|
60 And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he was yet speaking, a cock crew.
තදා පිතර උවාච හේ නර ත්වං යද් වදමි තදහං බෝද්ධුං න ශක්නෝමි, ඉති වාක්‍යේ කථිතමාත්‍රේ කුක්කුටෝ රුරාව|
61 And the Lord turned and looked upon Peter; and Peter remembered the word of the Lord, that he had said to him, Before a cock crows this day, thou wilt thrice deny me.
තදා ප්‍රභුණා ව්‍යාධුට්‍ය පිතරේ නිරීක්‍ෂිතේ කෘකවාකුරවාත් පූර්ව්වං මාං ත්‍රිරපහ්නෝෂ්‍යසේ ඉති පූර්ව්වෝක්තං තස්‍ය වාක්‍යං පිතරඃ ස්මෘත්වා
62 And he went out, and wept bitterly.
බහිර්ගත්වා මහාඛේදේන චක්‍රන්ද|
63 And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and beat him;
තදා යෛ ර‍්‍යීශුර්ධෘතස්තේ තමුපහස්‍ය ප්‍රහර්ත්තුමාරේභිරේ|
64 and having blindfolded him, they asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that struck thee?
වස්ත්‍රේණ තස්‍ය දෘශෞ බද්ධ්වා කපෝලේ චපේටාඝාතං කෘත්වා පප්‍රච්ඡුඃ, කස්තේ කපෝලේ චපේටාඝාතං කෘතවාන? ගණයිත්වා තද් වද|
65 And many other things did they scoffingly say against him.
තදන්‍යත් තද්විරුද්ධං බහුනින්දාවාක්‍යං වක්තුමාරේභිරේ|
66 And when it was day, the elders of the people, both chief priests and scribes, came together, and brought him before their council, saying,
අථ ප්‍රභාතේ සති ලෝකප්‍රාඤ්චඃ ප්‍රධානයාජකා අධ්‍යාපකාශ්ච සභාං කෘත්වා මධ්‍යේසභං යීශුමානීය පප්‍රච්ඡුඃ, ත්වම් අභිෂිකතෝසි න වාස්මාන් වද|
67 If thou art the Christ, tell us. And he said to them, If I tell you, ye will not believe;
ස ප්‍රත්‍යුවාච, මයා තස්මින්නුක්තේ(අ)පි යූයං න විශ්වසිෂ්‍යථ|
68 and if I ask, ye will not answer.
කස්මිංශ්චිද්වාක්‍යේ යුෂ්මාන් පෘෂ්ටේ(අ)පි මාං න තදුත්තරං වක්‍ෂ්‍යථ න මාං ත්‍යක්‍ෂ්‍යථ ච|
69 But from this time the Son of man will sit on the right hand of the power of God.
කින්ත්විතඃ පරං මනුජසුතඃ සර්ව්වශක්තිමත ඊශ්වරස්‍ය දක්‍ෂිණේ පාර්ශ්වේ සමුපවේක්‍ෂ්‍යති|
70 Then they all said, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said to them, Ye say what is true; for I am.
තතස්තේ පප්‍රච්ඡුඃ, ර්තිහ ත්වමීශ්වරස්‍ය පුත්‍රඃ? ස කථයාමාස, යූයං යථාර්ථං වදථ ස ඒවාහං|
71 And they said, What further need have we of testimony? For we have ourselves heard from his own mouth.
තදා තේ සර්ව්වේ කථයාමාසුඃ, ර්තිහ සාක්‍ෂ්‍යේ(අ)න්සස්මින් අස්මාකං කිං ප්‍රයෝජනං? අස්‍ය ස්වමුඛාදේව සාක්‍ෂ්‍යං ප්‍රාප්තම්|
