Luke 21
1 And he looked up and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.
Y MIRANDO, vió los ricos que echaban sus ofrendas en el gazofilacio.
2 And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
Y vió tambien una viuda pobrecilla que echaba allí dos blancas.
3 And he said, In truth I say to you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all.
Y dijo: De verdad os digo, que esta pobre viuda echó mas que todos.
4 For all these out of their abundance cast in to the offerings; but she out of her penury cast in all the living that she had.
Porque todos estos, de lo que les sobra echaron para las ofrendas de Dios mas ésta de su pobreza echó todo el sustento que tenia.
5 And as some were saying of the temple, that it was adorned with goodly stones, and sacred gifts, he said,
Y á unos que decian del templo, que estaba adornado de hermosas piedras y dones, dijo:
6 As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in which there will not be left here one stone upon another, that will not be throw down.
Estas cosas que veis, dias vendrán que no quedará piedra sobre piedra que no sea destruida.
7 And they asked him, saying, Teacher, when then will these things be? and what will be the sign when these things are about to come to pass?
Y le preguntaron, diciendo: Maestro, ¿cuándo será esto? ¿Y qué señal [habrá] cuando estas cosas hayan de comenzar á ser hechas?
8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived. For many will come in my name, saying, I am He, and the time is at hand. Go not after them.
El entónces dijo: Mirad, no seais engañados; porque vendrán muchos en mi nombre, diciendo: Yo soy, y el tiempo está cerca: por tanto no vayais en pos de ellos.
9 And when ye hear of wars and tumults, be not terrified; for these things must first come to pass; but not immediately is the end.
Empero cuando oyereis guerras y sediciones no os espanteis; porque es necesario que estas cosas acontezcan primero: mas no luego [será] el fin.
10 Then he said to them, Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom;
Entónces les dijo: Se levantará gente contra gente, y reino contra reino:
11 and there will be great earthquakes, and in divers places famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.
Y habrá grandes terremotos en [varios] lugares, y hambres, y pestilencias; y habrá espantos, y grandes señales del cielo.
12 But before all these things they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to synagogues, and into prisons, and bringing you before kings and governors on account of my name.
Mas ántes de todas estas cosas os echarán mano, y perseguirán entregándo[os] á las sinagogas, y á las cárceles, siendo llevados á los reyes y á los gobernadores por causa de mi nombre.
13 It will turn out to you an opportunity for bearing testimony.
Y os será [esto] para testimonio.
14 Settle it therefore in your hearts not to meditate l beforehand what ye shall answer.
Poned pues en vuestros corazones no pensar ántes como habeis de responder.
15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries will not be able to withstand or gainsay.
Porque yo os daré boca y sabiduría á la cual no podrán resistir ni contradecir todos los que se os opondrán.
16 And ye will be delivered up both by parents and brothers and kinsmen and friends; and some of you will they put to death.
Mas seréis entregados aun de vuestros padres, y hermanos, y parientes, y amigos: y matarán [á algunos] de vosotros.
17 And ye will be hated by all on account of my name.
Y seréis aborrecidos de todos por causa de mi nombre.
18 But not a hair of your head will be lost.
Mas un pelo de vuestra cabeza no perecerá.
19 By your constancy secure your lives.
En vuestra paciencia poseeréis vuestras almas.
20 But when ye see Jerusalem encompassed by armies, then know that her desolation is at hand.
Y cuando viereis á Jerusalem cercada de ejércitos, sabed entónces que su destruccion ha llegado.
21 Then let those who are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let those who are within the city go out of it, and let not those in the open country enter it.
Entónces los que estuvieren en Judéa, huyan á los montes; y los que en medio de ella, váyanse, y los que [estén] en los campos, no entren en ella.
22 For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
Porque estos son dias de venganza; para que se cumplan todas las cosas que están escritas.
23 But woe to the women with child, and to those having children at the breast, in those days! For there will be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people;
Mas ¡ay de las preñadas y de las que crian en aquellos dias! porque habrá apuro grande sobre [esta] tierra, é ira en este pueblo.
24 and they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led away captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trodden down by the gentiles, until the times of the gentiles are fulfilled.
Y caerán á filo de espada, y serán llevados cautivos á todas las naciones: y Jerusalem será hollada de las gentes, hasta que los tiempos de las gentes sean cumplidos.
25 And there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars; and on the earth distress of nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and waves;
Entónces habrá señales en el sol y en la luna, y en las estrellas; y en la tierra angustia de gentes por la confusion del sonido de la mar y de las ondas:
26 men's hearts failing them from fear, and from looking for those things which are coming on the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Secándose los hombres á causa del temor y espectacion de las cosas que sobrevendrán á la redondez de la tierra: porque las virtudes de los cielos serán conmovidas.
27 And then will they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
Y entónces verán al Hijo del hombre, que vendrá en una nube con potestad y majestad grande
28 And when these things begin to come to pass, look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
Y cuando estas cosas comenzaren á hacerse, mirad, y levantad vuestras cabezas, porque vuestra redencion está cerca.
29 And he spoke to them a parable: Behold the fig-tree and all the trees;
Y díjoles una parábola: Mirad la higuera y todos los árboles:
30 when they have already shot forth, ye see it, and know of yourselves that summer is now nigh at hand.
Cuando ya brotan, viéndolo de vosotros mismos entendeis que el verano está ya cerca.
31 So also, when ye see these things coming to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
Así tambien vosotros, cuando viereis hacerse estas cosas, entended que está cerca el reino de Dios.
32 Truly do I say to you, that this generation will not pass away, till all shall have taken place.
De cierto os digo que no pasará esta generacion, hasta que todo sea hecho.
33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
El cielo y la tierra pasarán, mas mis palabras no pasarán.
34 But take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be weighed down with surfeiting and drunkenness and worldly cares, and that day come upon you unawares.
Y mirad por vosotros, que vuestros corazones no sean cargados de glotonería y embriaguez, y de los cuidados de esta vida; y venga de repente sobre vosotros aquel dia.
35 For as a snare will it come on all that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Porque como un lazo vendrá sobre todos los que habitan sobre la faz de toda la tierra.
36 But watch at all times, and pray that ye may be able to escape all the things that are about to come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Velad pues orando en todo tiempo, que seais tenidos por dignos de evitar todas estas cosas que han de venir y de estar en pié delante del Hijo del hombre.
37 And during the daytime he was teaching in the temple; but at night he went out, and lodged in the mount called the Mount of Olives.
Y enseñaba de dia en el templo; y de noche saliendo, estábase en el monte que se llama de las Olivas.
38 And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, to hear him.
Y todo el pueblo venia á el por la mañana, para oirle en el templo.
