< Luke 19 >
1 And he entered and was passing through Jericho.
A Yeshu gubhajinjile nshilambo sha ku Yeliko, nipita pakatipakati ja shene shilambosho.
2 And lo! a man named Zacchaeus; and he was a chief publican, and he was rich.
Bhashinkupagwa bhandu bhamo pashilambopo bhashemwaga a Shakayo, bhakulungwa bha bhaakamula bhaaliji tajili.
3 And he sought to see Jesus, what sort of man he was; and he could not on account of the multitude; because he was small of stature.
Bhatendaga pinga bhaabhone a Yeshu shibhali, ikabheje kwa ligongo lya lugwinjili lwa bhandu na pabha bhashinkubha bhabhaupi, bhangakombola kwaabhona.
4 And he ran on before, and climbed up a sycamore-tree to see him; for he was to pass that way.
Kwa nneyo, kwa lubhilo, gubhalongolele, gubhakwelile munkongo gwankulungwa nkupinga bhaabhone a Yeshu, pabha shibhapite mpanda gogo.
5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and said to him, Zacchaeas, make haste and come down; for today I must abide at thy house.
Bhai a Yeshu bhakaisheje penepo, gubhalolile kunani gubhashite, “A Shakayo, ntulushe shangu, pabha lelo shindame kunngwenu.”
6 And he made haste and came down, and received him joyfully.
A Shakayo shangupe gubhatulwishe, gubhaaposhele kunngwabho akuno bhalikwinonyela kaje.
7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, He hath gone in to be the guest of a sinner.
Bhandu bhowe bhakagabhonanjeje genego, gubhatandubhenje kuinginika bhalinkutinji, “Bhashikwenda tama kuka mundu akwete yambi.”
8 And Zacchaeus stood up, and said to the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken anything from any one by false representation, I restore him four-fold.
Ikabheje a Shakayo gubhajimi mmujo, gubhaabhalanjile a Yeshu, “Mmakulungwa nnole! Nne shing'abhanye mali gangu pakatipakati naapanganje bhaalaga, na ibhaga nintolele mundu shindu shoshowe kwa unami, shinimmujishiye pasheshe.”
9 And Jesus said to him, This day hath salvation come to this house, inasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham;
A Yeshu gubhaabhalanjile, “Lelo ntapulo ujinjile nnyumba muno, pabha jweneju nneila peila ni jwa shipinga sha a Bhulaimu.
10 for the Son of man came to seek and to save that which was lost.
Pabha Mwana juka Mundu kwaishe kuloleya na tapula bhaobhilenje.”
11 And while they were hearing these things, he proceeded and spoke a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem, and they thought that the kingdom of God would immediately appear.
Bhandu bhatendaga kwaapilikanishiyanga a Yeshu, kwa nneyo gubhaatanjilenje lutango luna, bhashinkutenda nneyo pabha bhatendaga bhandishila ku Yelushalemu na bhandunji pubhaganishiyangaga kuti Upalume gwa a Nnungu unakwiya malanga gogo.
12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
Gubhaalugulilenje, “Bhashinkupagwa bhandu bhamo bha shipinga sha upalume, bhashinkwenda kushilambo sha talika nkupinga bhakapegwe ukulungwa bhabhe a mpalume na bhabhuje.
13 And he called his ten servants, and gave them ten pounds, and said to them, Trade with these, till I come.
Bhai, bhakanabhe jabhula bhashinkwaashemanga bhatumishi bhabho kumi, nikwapanganga kila mundu lipungu lya ela, bhalinkuti, ‘Ntendelanje upindi mpaka pushimuje.’
14 But his citizens hated him, and sent an embassy after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
Ikabheje bhashilambo ajabhonji bhatendaga kwaapatanga, gubhaatumilenje mitume bhakagulanje, bhakalugulanje kuti, ‘Tukakwaapinga abha bhatutagwale.’”
15 And it came to pass, when he had returned, having received the kingdom, that he commanded these servants to whom he had given the money to be called to him, that he might know what each had gained by trading.
“Bhakapateje upalume gubhabhujile kumui, na shangupe gubhalajile bhatumishi bhala bhashemwanje, nkupinga bhamumanye kila mundu shapatile.
16 And the first came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
Ntumishi jwa ntai gwaishe nigwashite, ‘Mmakulungwa ela imwambele ila, ipatikene pwaida likumi limo.’
17 And he said to him, Well done, good servant! because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.
Na bhalabho gubhammalanjile, ‘Utendile ukoto, ugwe ntumishi nnguja. Pabha ushikulupalika pa shindu shishoko, shinikupe ukulungwa gwa ilambo kumi!’
18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
Ntumishi jwa bhili gwaishe, nigwashite, ‘Mmakulungwa ela imwambele ila, mbatile pwaida paano.’
19 And he said also to this servant, And be thou over five cities.
Bhakulungwa gubhammalanjile, ‘Numbe ugwe shubhe nkulungwa jwa ilambo nng'ano.’
20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin.
“Ntumishi juna gwaishe, nigwashite, ‘Mmakulungwa ajino ela jenu, nashinkuiya ukoto nshigubho,
21 For I feared thee, because thou art a harsh man; thou takest up what thou didst not lay down, and reapest what thou didst not sow.
pabha nashinkunnjogopa mmwe mmandu mmanonopa ntima. Mmwe nnatola yangali yenu, nnaneng'ena munkapandileje.’
22 He saith to him, Out of thy mouth will I judge thee, wicked servant! thou knewest that I was a harsh man, taking up what I laid not down, and reaping what I did not sow;
Na bhalabho gubhammalanjile, ‘Ngunakuukumula kwa ligongo lya malobhe gako, ugwe ntumishi ujwangali gwa mmbone! Ibhaga gwamumanyi kuti nne namundu jwa nonopa ntima, ngunatola yangali yanngu na ngunaneng'ena mungapandileje.
23 why then didst thou not put my money into a bank? Then I at my coming might have received it back with interest.
Bhai kwa nndi unabhishe ela jangu kubhenki, na nne ngatolile na pwaida nkubhuja mwanja gwangu?’”
24 And he said to them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath the ten pounds.
Penepo gubhaalugulilenje bhalinginji pepala bhala, “Mumpokonyolanje elajo, nkampanganje apatile pwaida ja likumi limo jula.”
25 (And they said to him, He hath ten pounds, Lord.)
Na bhalabhonji gubhaalugulilenje, “Mmakulungwa, pakubha tayali apatile likumi limo!”
26 I say to you, that to every one who hath, will be given; but from him that hath not, even what he hath will be taken away.
Na bhalabho gubhaajangwilenje, “Jojowe akwete shindu shaajenjeshewe. Ikabheje jwangali shindu jula, nkali shakwete shila shaapokonyolwe.
27 But as for those enemies of mine, who would not that I should reign over them, bring them here, and slay them before me.
‘Nnaino, ga ashaamagongo ajangu bhakaapinganga nne kubha mpalume jwabhonji, mwajiyenabhonji apano, mwaabhulaganje pa meyo gangu.’”
28 And when he had thus spoken, he went forward, going up to Jerusalem.
A Yeshu bhakabheleketeje genego, gubhalongolele mmujo kuloya ku Yelushalemu.
29 And it came to pass, as he drew near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,
Bhakabhandishileje ku Bhetipage na ku Bhetania, tome na shitumbi sha Misheituni, gubhaatumilenje bhabhili munkumbi gwa bhaajiganywa bhabho,
30 saying, Go to the village over against us; on entering which ye will find a colt tied, whereon no man ever sat; and loose, and bring it.
gubhaabhalanjilenje, “Nnjendangane kushijiji shili mmujo jenunji. Pushinnjinjilangane, shimunng'imananje mwana jwa mbunda akanabhe jigala mundu, atabhilwe. Munngopolanje munnjiyenajonji apano.
31 And if any one ask you, Why are ye loosing it? ye shall say thus, The Lord hath need of it.
Ibhaga mundu shammuyanje, nkunngopolelanga nndi, mummalanjilanje, ‘Bhakulungwa bhanakumpinga.’”
32 And they who were sent went and found just as he told them.
Bhai, gubhapitengene, niimana malinga shibhabhalanjilwenje.
33 And as they were loosing the colt, its owners said to them, Why are ye loosing the colt?
Bhalikunngopolanga mwana jwa mbunda jula, bhayene gubhaabhushiyenje, “Nkunngopolelanga nndi mwana jwa mbundajo?”
34 And they said, The Lord hath need of it.
Na bhalabhonji gubhajangwilenje, “Bhakulungwa bhanakumpinga.”
35 And they brought it to Jesus; and having thrown their garments on the colt, they set Jesus thereon.
Bhai gubhaapeleshelenje Yeshu mwana jwa mbunda jula. Gubhatandikenje nngubho yabhonji panngongo gwakwe, gubhaakweshiyenje a Yeshu panani jakwe.
36 And as he went on, they spread their garments in the road.
A Yeshu pubhapitaga mumpanda, bhandunji gubhatandikenje nngubho yabhonji.
37 And as he was drawing near, just at the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the miracles which they had seen;
38 saying, Blessed be the King in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest heavens!
bhalinkutinji, “Bhakwete mboka A mpalume bhakwiya kwa lina lya Bhakulungwa. Ulele kunnungu na Ukonjelo kunani kajeko!”
39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said to him, Teacher, rebuke thy disciples.
Penepo Ashimapalishayo bhana bhalinginji nnikundi mula gubhaabhalanjilenje a Yeshu, “Mmajiganya, mwalimbiyanje bhaajiganywa bhenu!”
40 And he answering said, I tell you, that if these are silent, the stones will cry out.
A Yeshu gubhaajangwilenje, “Ngunakummalanjilanga, bhanganyabha bhapumulangaga, maganga shigajobhele.”
41 And when he came near, as he beheld the city, he wept over it,
A Yeshu bhakabhandishileje na kushibhona shilambo sha Yelushalemu shila, gubhashigutile
42 saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, and that in this thy day, the things that concern thy peace! but now they are hidden from thine eyes.
bhalinkuti, “Kaliji ukaimanyi ata ugwe lelo ipeleshela ulele! Ikabheje nnaino ishiiywa unaibhone.
43 For the days will come upon thee, when thine enemies will cast up a mound about thee, and compass thee round, and shut thee in on every side,
Pabha ganakwiya mobha bhamagongo ajako, shibhakutimbililanje nikuibhilila mmbali yowe.
44 and will level thee with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they will not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
Shibhakukandaganye ugwe na ashibhanago nkati pemo. Na bhakalekanga nkali liganga limo lijimi pa liganga lina, pabha gwangagamanya malanga ga ntapulo gwako.”
45 And entering the temple, he began to cast out those who sold,
Kungai a Yeshu gubhapite ku Liekalu, gubhatandwibhe kwaabhinganjilanga palanga bhatendangaga upindi
46 saying to them, It is written, “And my house shall be a house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of robbers.”
bhalinkuti, “Ishijandikwa, ‘Nyumba jangu shijibhe nyumba ja kwaajujila a Nnungu,’ ikabheje mmanganya nshitendanga lishembo lya bhaapokonyola.”
47 And he was teaching daily in the temple; but the chief priests, and the scribes, and the leading men of the people sought to destroy him.
Mobha gowe a Yeshu bhatendaga jiganya Nniekalu. Ikabheje ashikalongolele bha ashinkulondola, na bhaajiganya bha shalia na ashikalongolele bha bhandunji bhatendaga loleyanga namuna ja kwaabhulaga.
48 And they could not find an opportunity of doing any thing; for all the people hung upon him, listening.
Ikabheje bhakamumanyangaga muutendelo, pabha bhandu bhowe bhatendaga kwaakagulilanga na kwaapilikanishiya.
