Luke 10
1 After these things, the Lord appointed also seventy others, and sent them two and two before him into every city and place where he himself was about to come.
Ahora bien, después de estas cosas, el Señor hizo una selección de otros setenta y los envió delante de él, de dos en dos, a cada pueblo y lugar adonde él mismo estaba a punto de llegar.
2 And he said to them, The harvest is great, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers for his harvest.
Y él les dijo: La cosecha a la verdad es mucha, pero no hay suficientes obreros: así que hagan oración al Señor de la cosecha, que envíe obreros a su cosecha.
3 Go forth; lo! I send you as lambs into the midst of wolves.
Vayan: mira, Yo los envío como corderos en medio de lobos.
4 Carry no purse, no bag, no sandals; salute no one by the way.
No lleven bolsa, ni monedero o comida, ni zapatos; no saluden a nadie en el camino.
5 And into whatever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.
Y cada vez que entren a una casa, primero digan: Paz a esta casa.
6 And if a son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it; if not, it shall return to you.
Y si hay un hijo de paz allí, tu paz estará con él; pero si no, volverá a ustedes.
7 And abide in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give; for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house.
Y quédense en la misma casa, tomando el alimento y la bebida que les dan; porque el obrero tiene derecho a su recompensa. No vayan de casa en casa.
8 And into whatever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat what is set before you,
Y a cualquier pueblo que vayan, si les reciben, toma cualquier alimento que se les dé;
9 and heal the sick that are therein, and say to them, The kingdom of God hath come near to you.
Y sana a los enfermos que en ella haya y diles: el reino de Dios está cerca de ustedes.
10 But into whatever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go out into its streets and say,
Pero si van a un pueblo donde no los reciben, sal a las calles y di:
11 Even the dust of your city that cleaveth to our feet we wipe off to you; but know this, that the kingdom of God hath come near.
Hasta el polvo de su pueblo, que está sobre sus pies, lo sacudimos en contra de ustedes; pero estén seguros de esto, que el reino de Dios está cerca de ustedes.
12 And I tell you, that it will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.
Les digo que será mejor en ese día para Sodoma que para esa ciudad.
13 Woe to thee, Chorazin! woe to thee, Bethsaida! for if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
¡ Ay de ti, Corazín! ¡Ay ti, Betsaida! Porque si tales milagros se hubieran realizado en Tiro y Sidón como se ha hecho en ustedes, en el pasado se habrían apartado de sus pecados, y lo habrían demostrando poniéndose ropas ásperas sentándose en cenizas.
14 But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment, than for you.
Pero será mejor para Tiro y Sidón, en el día de juicio, que para ustedes.
15 And thou, Capernaum! shalt thou be exalted to heaven? thou shalt be brought down to the underworld. (Hadēs g86)
Y tú, Capernaum, ¿no fuiste levantada al cielo? irás al infierno abatida. (Hadēs g86)
16 He that hearkeneth to you, hearkeneth to me; and he that rejecteth you, rejecteth me; but he that rejecteth me, rejecteth him that sent me.
El que a ustedes escucha, me escucha a mí; y el que lo rechaza a ustedes, me rechaza a mí; y el que me rechaza a mí, rechaza al que me envió.
17 And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us in thy name.
Y los setenta volvieron con alegría, diciendo: Señor, hasta los demonios se nos sujetan en tu nombre.
18 And he said to them, I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning.
Y les dijo: Yo veía a Satanás, cayendo del cielo como una estrella.
19 Lo! I have given you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the might of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Mira, te he dado poder para poner pie sobre serpientes y escorpiones, y sobre toda la fuerza del enemigo; y nada les hará daño.
20 Yet rejoice not in this, that the spirits are subject to you; but rejoice that your names have been written in heaven.
No se alegren, sin embargo, porque tienen poder sobre los espíritus, sino porque sus nombres están registrados en el cielo.
21 In that hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that, though thou didst hide these things from the wise and discerning, thou didst reveal them to babes. Yea, Father, for so it seemed good in thy sight. And turning to the disciples he said,
En aquella misma hora se llenó de gozo en el Espíritu Santo, y dijo: Te alabo, oh Padre, Señor del cielo y de la tierra, porque has ocultado estas cosas a los sabios y los entendidos, y las has revelado a los niños: porque así, oh Padre, porque así te agrado.
22 All things were delivered to me by my Father; and no one knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom it is the will of the Son to reveal him.
Todas las cosas me han sido dadas por mi Padre; y nadie conoce quién es el Hijo, sino el Padre; ni quién es él Padre, sino el Hijo, y aquel a quien el Hijo lo quiera revelar.
23 And turning to the disciples, he said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye are seeing.
Y volviéndose a los discípulos, dijo en privado: Bienaventurados los ojos que ven lo que ustedes ven;
24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see the things which ye are seeing, and saw them not; and to hear the things which ye are hearing, and heard them not.
Porque les digo que muchos profetas y reyes han deseado ver lo que ustedes ven, y no lo vieron; y oír lo que oyen, y no lo oyeron.
25 And lo! a certain lawyer stood up to try him, saying, Teacher, what shall I do to inherit everlasting life? (aiōnios g166)
Y un cierto maestro de la ley se levantó y lo puso a prueba, diciendo: Maestro, ¿qué tengo que hacer para tener la vida eterna? (aiōnios g166)
26 And he said to him, What is written in the Law? How readest thou?
Y él le dijo: ¿Qué dice la ley? Cómo lees?
27 And he answering said “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.”
Y él, respondiendo, dijo ama al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón, y con toda tu alma, y con todas tus fuerzas, y con toda tu mente; y ama a tu prójimo como ti mismo.
28 And he said to him, Thou hast answered rightly; do this, and thou shalt live.
Y él dijo: Has dado la respuesta correcta: haz esto y tendrás vida.
29 But he, wishing to justify himself, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbor?
Pero él, deseando justificarse a sí mismo, dijo a Jesús: ¿Y quién es mi prójimo?
30 Jesus answering said, A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers; who after stripping him of his raiment, and wounding him, departed, leaving him half dead.
Y respondiendo Jesús, le dijo: Cierto hombre bajaba de Jerusalén a Jericó, y llegó a manos de ladrones, que le tomaron sus ropas e hiriendolo, y cuando se fueron, estaba medio muerto.
31 And by chance a certain priest was going down on that road; and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
Y por casualidad cierto sacerdote descendía por ese camino; y cuando lo vio, pasó por el otro lado.
32 And in like manner also a Levite, having arrived at the place, came and saw, and passed by on the other side.
Y de la misma manera, un levita, cuando llegó al lugar y lo vio, pasó por el otro lado.
33 But a certain Samaritan, as he was journeying, came where he was, and when he saw him, had compassion,
Pero un hombre de Samaria, yendo por el camino, vino donde estaba, y cuando lo vio, se compadeció de él,
34 and went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine, and setting him on his own beast, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
Y vino a él y le vendo sus heridas, con aceite y vino; y lo puso en su propia cabalgadura, lo llevó a un mesón y lo cuidó.
35 And the next day, he took out two denaries and gave them to the host, and said, Take care of him; and whatever thou spendest more, I, when I come back, will repay thee.
Otro día al partir sacó dos denarios, y se los dio al mesonero, y dijo: Cuídalo; y si este dinero no es suficiente, yo te lo pagaré cuando regrese.
36 Which of these three, dost thou think, was neighbor to him that fell among the robbers?
¿Cuál de estos tres hombres, en su opinión, era vecino del hombre que cayó en manos de los ladrones?
37 And he said, He that took pity on him. Then said Jesus to him, Go, and do thou likewise.
Y dijo: El que tuvo misericordia de él. Y Jesús dijo: Ve y haz lo mismo.
38 And it came to pass, as they journeyed, that he entered into a certain village; and a certain woman, named Martha, received him into her house.
Ahora, mientras estaban en camino, él llegó a una aldea; y una mujer llamada Marta le recibió en su casa.
39 And she had a sister called Mary, who sat down at the feet of the Lord, and listened to his word.
Y tenía una hermana, llamada María, que se sentó a los pies del Señor y prestó atención a sus palabras.
40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving; and she came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? Tell her therefore to help me.
Pero Marta tenía las manos ocupadas en el trabajo de la casa, y ella se acercó a él y le dijo: Señor, ¿no es nada para ti que mi hermana me haya dejado hacer todo el trabajo? Dile que ella me debe ayudar.
41 But the Lord answering said to her, Martha, Martha, thou art anxious and troubled about many things.
Pero el Señor, respondiendo, le dijo: Marta, Marta, estás llena de preocupaciones y turbada estás con muchas cosas:
42 But one thing is needful. For Mary hath chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
Pero solo una cosa es necesaria, y María tomó la buena parte, la cual no le será quitada.
