Luke 10
1 After these things, the Lord appointed also seventy others, and sent them two and two before him into every city and place where he himself was about to come.
E depois d'isto designou o Senhor ainda outros setenta, e mandou-os adiante da sua face, de dois em dois, a todas as cidades e logares onde elle havia de ir.
2 And he said to them, The harvest is great, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers for his harvest.
E dizia-lhes; Grande é, em verdade, a seára, mas os obreiros são poucos; rogae pois ao Senhor da seára que envie obreiros para a sua seára.
3 Go forth; lo! I send you as lambs into the midst of wolves.
Ide: eis que vos mando como cordeiros para o meio de lobos.
4 Carry no purse, no bag, no sandals; salute no one by the way.
Não leveis bolsa, nem alforge, nem alparcas; e a ninguem saudeis pelo caminho.
5 And into whatever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.
E, em qualquer casa aonde entrardes, dizei primeiro: Paz seja n'esta casa.
6 And if a son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it; if not, it shall return to you.
E, se ali houver algum filho de paz, repousará sobre elle a vossa paz; e, se não, voltará para vós.
7 And abide in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give; for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house.
E ficae na mesma casa, comendo e bebendo do que elles tiverem, pois digno é o obreiro do seu salario. Não andeis de casa em casa.
8 And into whatever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat what is set before you,
E, em qualquer cidade em que entrardes, e vos receberem, comei do que vos pozerem adiante.
9 and heal the sick that are therein, and say to them, The kingdom of God hath come near to you.
E curae os enfermos que n'ella houver, e dizei-lhes: É chegado a vós o reino de Deus.
10 But into whatever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go out into its streets and say,
Mas em qualquer cidade, em que entrardes e vos não receberem, saindo por suas ruas, dizei:
11 Even the dust of your city that cleaveth to our feet we wipe off to you; but know this, that the kingdom of God hath come near.
Até o pó, que da vossa cidade se nos pegou, sacudimos sobre vós. Sabei, todavia, isto, que já o reino de Deus é chegado a vós.
12 And I tell you, that it will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.
E digo-vos que mais tolerancia haverá n'aquelle dia para Sodoma do que para aquella cidade.
13 Woe to thee, Chorazin! woe to thee, Bethsaida! for if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
Ai de ti, Chorazin, ai de ti, Bethsaida! que, se em Tyro e em Sidon se fizessem as maravilhas que em vós foram feitas, já ha muito, assentadas em sacco e cinza, se teriam arrependido.
14 But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment, than for you.
Portanto, para Tyro e Sidon será mais toleravel no juizo, do que para vós.
15 And thou, Capernaum! shalt thou be exalted to heaven? thou shalt be brought down to the underworld. (Hadēs g86)
E tu, Capernaum, que estás levantada até ao céu, até ao inferno serás abatida. (Hadēs g86)
16 He that hearkeneth to you, hearkeneth to me; and he that rejecteth you, rejecteth me; but he that rejecteth me, rejecteth him that sent me.
Quem vos ouve a vós, a mim me ouve; e, quem vos rejeita a vós, a mim me rejeita; e, quem a mim me rejeita, rejeita aquelle que me enviou.
17 And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us in thy name.
E voltaram os setenta com alegria, dizendo: Senhor, em teu nome, até os demonios se nos sujeitam.
18 And he said to them, I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning.
E disse-lhes: Eu via Satanaz, como raio, cair do céu.
19 Lo! I have given you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the might of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Eis que vos dou poder para pizar as serpentes e escorpiões, e toda a força do inimigo, e nada vos fará damno algum.
20 Yet rejoice not in this, that the spirits are subject to you; but rejoice that your names have been written in heaven.
Mas não vos alegreis por isso, que se vos sujeitem os espiritos; alegrae-vos antes por estarem os vossos nomes escriptos nos céus.
21 In that hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that, though thou didst hide these things from the wise and discerning, thou didst reveal them to babes. Yea, Father, for so it seemed good in thy sight. And turning to the disciples he said,
N'aquella mesma hora se alegrou Jesus em espirito, e disse: Graças te dou, ó Pae, Senhor do céu e da terra, que escondeste estas coisas aos sabios e intelligentes, e as revelaste ás creancinhas; assim é, ó Pae, porque assim te aprouve.
22 All things were delivered to me by my Father; and no one knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom it is the will of the Son to reveal him.
Todas as coisas me foram entregues por meu Pae; e ninguem conhece quem é o Filho senão o Pae, nem quem é o Pae senão o Filho, e aquelle a quem o Filho o quizer revelar.
23 And turning to the disciples, he said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye are seeing.
E, voltando-se para os seus discipulos, disse-lhes em particular: Bemaventurados os olhos que vêem o que vós vêdes;
24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see the things which ye are seeing, and saw them not; and to hear the things which ye are hearing, and heard them not.
Porque vos digo que muitos prophetas e reis desejaram vêr o que vós vêdes, e não o viram; e ouvir o que ouvis, e não o ouviram.
25 And lo! a certain lawyer stood up to try him, saying, Teacher, what shall I do to inherit everlasting life? (aiōnios g166)
E eis que se levantou um certo doutor da lei, tentando-o, e dizendo: Mestre, que farei para herdar a vida eterna? (aiōnios g166)
26 And he said to him, What is written in the Law? How readest thou?
E elle lhe disse: Que está escripto na lei? Como lês?
27 And he answering said “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.”
E, respondendo elle, disse: Amarás ao Senhor teu Deus de todo o teu coração, e de toda a tua alma, e de todas as tuas forças, e de todo o teu entendimento; e ao teu proximo como a ti mesmo.
28 And he said to him, Thou hast answered rightly; do this, and thou shalt live.
E disse-lhe: Respondeste bem; faze isso, e viverás.
29 But he, wishing to justify himself, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbor?
Elle, porém, querendo justificar-se a si mesmo, disse a Jesus: E quem é o meu proximo?
30 Jesus answering said, A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers; who after stripping him of his raiment, and wounding him, departed, leaving him half dead.
E, respondendo Jesus, disse: Descia um homem de Jerusalem para Jericó, e caiu nas mãos dos salteadores, os quaes o despojaram, e, espancando-o, se retiraram, deixando-o meio morto.
31 And by chance a certain priest was going down on that road; and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
E, por acaso, descia pelo mesmo caminho um certo sacerdote; e, vendo-o, passou de largo.
32 And in like manner also a Levite, having arrived at the place, came and saw, and passed by on the other side.
E d'egual modo tambem um levita, chegando-se ao logar, e vendo-o, passou de largo.
33 But a certain Samaritan, as he was journeying, came where he was, and when he saw him, had compassion,
Porém um certo samaritano, que ia de viagem, chegou ao pé d'elle, e, vendo-o, moveu-se de intima compaixão;
34 and went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine, and setting him on his own beast, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
E, approximando-se, atou-lhe as feridas, deitando-lhe azeite e vinho; e, pondo-o sobre a sua cavalgadura, levou-o para uma estalagem, e cuidou d'elle;
35 And the next day, he took out two denaries and gave them to the host, and said, Take care of him; and whatever thou spendest more, I, when I come back, will repay thee.
E, partindo ao outro dia, tirou dois dinheiros, e deu-os ao hospedeiro, e disse-lhe: Cuida d'elle; e tudo o que de mais gastares, eu t'o pagarei quando voltar.
36 Which of these three, dost thou think, was neighbor to him that fell among the robbers?
Qual, pois, d'estes tres te parece que foi o proximo d'aquelle que caiu nas mãos dos salteadores?
37 And he said, He that took pity on him. Then said Jesus to him, Go, and do thou likewise.
E elle disse: O que usou de misericordia para com elle. Disse, pois, Jesus: Vae, e faze da mesma maneira.
38 And it came to pass, as they journeyed, that he entered into a certain village; and a certain woman, named Martha, received him into her house.
E aconteceu que, indo elles de caminho, entrou n'uma aldeia; e uma certa mulher, por nome Martha, o recebeu em sua casa;
39 And she had a sister called Mary, who sat down at the feet of the Lord, and listened to his word.
E tinha esta uma irmã chamada Maria, a qual, assentando-se tambem aos pés de Jesus, ouvia a sua palavra.
40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving; and she came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? Tell her therefore to help me.
Porém Martha andava distrahida em muitos serviços, e, chegando, disse: Senhor, não se te dá de que minha irmã me deixe servir só? Dize-lhe pois que me ajude
41 But the Lord answering said to her, Martha, Martha, thou art anxious and troubled about many things.
E, respondendo Jesus, disse-lhe: Martha, Martha, andas cuidadosa e afadigada com muitas coisas,
42 But one thing is needful. For Mary hath chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
Mas uma só é necessaria; e Maria escolheu a boa parte, a qual não lhe será tirada.
