Luke 10
1 After these things, the Lord appointed also seventy others, and sent them two and two before him into every city and place where he himself was about to come.
ⲁ̅ⲙⲛ̅ⲛⲥⲁ(ⲛⲁ)ⲓ̈ ⲁⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲥⲉⲧⲡ̅ⲕⲉϣϥⲉⲥⲛⲟⲟⲩⲥ ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲩⲥⲉ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ϩⲁⲧⲉϥϩⲏ ⲉⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲙⲙⲁ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧϥ̅ⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ.
2 And he said to them, The harvest is great, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers for his harvest.
ⲃ̅ⲛⲉϥϫⲱ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲡⲱϩⲥ̅ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲛⲁϣⲱϥ ⲛⲉⲣⲅⲁⲧⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲥⲃⲕ̅ⲏⲡⲉ. ⲥⲉⲡⲥ̅ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲱϩⲥ̅ ϫⲉ ⲉϥⲉⲛⲉϫⲉⲣⲅⲁⲧⲏⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲱϩⲥ̅.
3 Go forth; lo! I send you as lambs into the midst of wolves.
ⲅ̅ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲓⲥϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϯϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲙⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲛ̅ⲑⲉ ⲛϩⲉⲛϩⲓⲉⲓⲃ ⲛ̅ⲧⲙⲏⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ϩⲉⲛⲟⲩⲱⲛϣ̅.
4 Carry no purse, no bag, no sandals; salute no one by the way.
ⲇ̅ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ϥⲓⲧⲱⲱⲙⲉ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲡⲏⲣⲁ. ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲧⲟⲟⲩⲉ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲁⲥⲡⲁⲍⲉ ⲗ̅ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ϩⲓⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ.
5 And into whatever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.
ⲉ̅ⲡⲏⲓ̈ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲟϥ. ⲁϫⲓⲥ ⲛ̅ϣⲟⲣⲡ̅ ϫⲉ ϯⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲓ̈ⲏⲓ̈
6 And if a son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it; if not, it shall return to you.
ⲋ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛ̅ⲓ̈ⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ. ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲓ̈ⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲙ̅ⲧⲟⲛ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉϫⲱϥ. ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲛ. ⲉⲥⲉⲕⲟⲧⲥ̅ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅.
7 And abide in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give; for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house.
ⲍ̅ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉϭⲱ ⲇⲉ ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲏⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲱⲧʾ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ. ⲡⲉⲣⲅⲁⲧⲏⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙ̅ⲡϣⲁ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉϥⲃⲉⲕⲉ. ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲡⲱⲱⲛⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲏⲓ̈ ⲉⲩⲏⲓ̈.
8 And into whatever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat what is set before you,
ⲏ̅ⲧⲡⲟⲗⲉⲓⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲛ̅ⲥⲉϣⲉⲡⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲛⲁⲕⲁⲁⲩ ϩⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅
9 and heal the sick that are therein, and say to them, The kingdom of God hath come near to you.
ⲑ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲧⲁⲗϭⲉⲛⲉⲧϣⲱⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧⲥ̅. ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲧⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲟ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϩⲱⲛ ⲉϫⲱⲧⲛ̅.
10 But into whatever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go out into its streets and say,
ⲓ̅ⲧⲡⲟⲗⲉⲓⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲛ̅ⲥⲉⲧⲙ̅ϣⲉⲡⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ. ⲁⲙⲏⲓ̈ⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲛⲉⲥⲡⲗⲁⲧⲓⲁ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϫⲟⲟⲥ
11 Even the dust of your city that cleaveth to our feet we wipe off to you; but know this, that the kingdom of God hath come near.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ϫⲉ ⲡⲕⲉϣⲟⲓ̈ϣ ⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲱϭⲉ ⲉⲛⲉⲛⲟⲩⲉⲣⲏⲧⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲡⲟⲗⲉⲓⲥ. ⲧⲛ̅ϥⲱⲧⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅. ⲡⲗⲏⲛ ⲉ͡ⲓⲙⲉ ⲉⲡⲁⲓ̈ ϫⲉ ⲁⲧⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲟ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϩⲱⲛ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅.
12 And I tell you, that it will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ϯϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁϩⲣⲟϣ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧʾ ⲉϫⲛⲥⲟⲇⲟⲙⲁ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲉⲧⲡⲟⲗⲉⲓⲥ ⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ.
13 Woe to thee, Chorazin! woe to thee, Bethsaida! for if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲓ̈ ⲛⲉ ⲭⲟⲣⲁⲍⲉⲓⲛ. ⲟⲩⲟⲓ̈ ⲛⲉ ⲃⲏⲇⲥⲁⲓ̈ⲇⲁ. ϫⲉ ⲉⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁⲛϭⲟⲙ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧʾⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲩⲣⲟⲥ ⲛⲙⲥⲓⲇⲱⲛ ⲉϣϫⲡⲉ ⲁⲩϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩϭⲟⲟⲩⲛⲉ ⲛⲙ̅ⲟⲩⲕⲣ̅ⲙⲉⲥ ⲉⲩⲙⲉⲧⲁⲛⲟⲓ̈.
14 But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment, than for you.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲡⲗⲏⲛ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲁⲛⲉⲭⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲩⲣⲟⲥ ⲛⲙ̅ⲥⲓⲇⲱⲛ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲕⲣⲓⲥⲓⲥ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅.
15 And thou, Capernaum! shalt thou be exalted to heaven? thou shalt be brought down to the underworld. (Hadēs g86)
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲟ ϩⲱⲱⲧⲉ ⲕⲁⲫⲁⲣⲛⲁⲟⲩⲙ ⲙⲏ ⲧⲉⲛⲁϫⲓⲥⲉ ϣⲁϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲧⲡⲉ. ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲛ̅ⲧⲉ ϣⲁⲁⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲉ. (Hadēs g86)
16 He that hearkeneth to you, hearkeneth to me; and he that rejecteth you, rejecteth me; but he that rejecteth me, rejecteth him that sent me.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲉϥⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ̈ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲧⲁⲑⲉⲧⲓ ⲙ̅ⲙⲱⲧⲛ̅. ⲉϥⲁⲑⲉⲧⲓ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲓ̈. ⲡⲉⲧⲁⲑⲉⲧⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲓ̈ ⲉϥⲁⲑⲉⲧⲓ ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲟⲟⲩⲧʾ·
17 And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us in thy name.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲁⲩⲕⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲡⲉϣϥⲉⲥⲛⲟⲟⲩⲥ ϩⲛⲟⲩⲣⲁϣⲉ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲛ̅ⲕⲉⲩⲇⲁⲓⲙⲟⲛⲓⲟⲛ ⲥⲉϩⲩⲡⲟⲧⲁⲥⲥⲉ ⲛⲁⲛ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲕⲣⲁⲛ.
18 And he said to them, I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲓ̈ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲡⲥⲁⲧⲁⲛⲁⲥ ⲉϥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧʾ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲡⲉ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲃⲣⲏϭⲉ.
19 Lo! I have given you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the might of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲉⲓⲥϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ⲁⲓ̈ϯ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲝⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲉϩⲱⲙ ⲉϫⲛ̅ⲛ̅ϩⲟϥ ⲛⲙ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲟϩⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϫⲛ̅ⲧϭⲟⲙ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ̅ ⲙ̅ⲡϫⲁϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ϫⲓⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲛϭⲟⲛⲥ̅.
20 Yet rejoice not in this, that the spirits are subject to you; but rejoice that your names have been written in heaven.
ⲕ̅ⲡⲗⲏⲛ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲣⲁϣⲉ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲡⲛ̅ⲁ ϩⲩⲡⲟⲧⲁⲥⲥⲉ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅. ⲣⲁϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲣⲁⲛ ⲥⲏϩ ϩⲛ̅ⲙⲡⲏⲩⲉ.
21 In that hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that, though thou didst hide these things from the wise and discerning, thou didst reveal them to babes. Yea, Father, for so it seemed good in thy sight. And turning to the disciples he said,
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲁϥⲧⲉⲗⲏⲗ ϩⲙⲡⲉⲡⲛ̅ⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ. ϯⲉⲝⲟⲙⲟⲗⲟⲅⲓ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ⲱⲧʾ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲛ̅ⲧⲡⲉ ⲛⲙ̅ⲡⲕⲁϩ. ϫⲉ ⲁⲕϩⲉⲡⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲛⲥⲟⲫⲟⲥ ⲛⲙ̅ⲛ̅ⲥⲁⲃⲉ ⲁⲕϭⲟⲗⲡⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉϩⲉⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ϣⲏⲙ. ⲁϩⲉ ⲡⲁⲓⲱⲧʾ ϫⲉ ⲧⲁⲓ̈ ⲧⲉ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲥⲣ̅ⲁⲛⲁⲕ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲕⲙ̅ⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
22 All things were delivered to me by my Father; and no one knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom it is the will of the Son to reveal him.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲁⲩϯ ⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲓ̈ⲱⲧʾ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲛ̅ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲥⲁⲡⲓⲱⲧʾ ⲏ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲱⲧʾ ⲛⲥⲁⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲣⲉⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲁⲟⲩⲁϣϥ̅ ϣⲁϥϭⲱⲗⲡ̅ ⲛⲁϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
23 And turning to the disciples, he said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye are seeing.
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲁϥⲕⲟⲧϥ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲙⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛ̅ⲥⲁⲟⲩⲥⲁ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ. ⲛⲁⲓ̈ⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ⲃⲃⲁⲗ ⲉⲧⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲛⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ
24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see the things which ye are seeing, and saw them not; and to hear the things which ye are hearing, and heard them not.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ϯϫⲱ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ϫⲉ ⲁϩⲁϩ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϩⲓⲣ̅ⲣⲟ, ⲟⲩⲉϣ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲛⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡⲟⲩⲛⲁⲩ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ̈ ⲉⲛⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅·
25 And lo! a certain lawyer stood up to try him, saying, Teacher, what shall I do to inherit everlasting life? (aiōnios g166)
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲉⲓⲥⲟⲩⲛⲟⲙⲓⲕⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲉϥⲡⲓⲣⲁⲍⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲥⲁϩ ⲉⲓ̈ⲛⲁⲣⲟⲩ ⲧⲁⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲛⲟⲙⲓ ⲙ̅ⲡⲱⲛϩ̅ ϣⲁⲉⲛⲉϩ. (aiōnios g166)
26 And he said to him, What is written in the Law? How readest thou?
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲥⲏϩ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲉⲕⲱϣ ⲛ̅ⲁϣ ⲛ̅ϩⲉ.
27 And he answering said “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.”
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ. ⲉⲕⲉⲙⲉⲣⲉⲡϫⲟⲓ̈ⲥ ⲡⲉⲕⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲕϩⲏⲧʾ ⲧⲏⲣϥ̅ ⲛⲙ̅ⲧⲉⲕⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ̅. ⲛⲙ̅ⲧⲉⲕϭⲟⲙ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ̅. ⲛⲙ̅ⲛⲉⲕⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲧϩⲓⲧⲟⲩⲱⲕ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲕϩⲉ.
28 And he said to him, Thou hast answered rightly; do this, and thou shalt live.
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ. ⲁⲕⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ̅ ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲥⲟⲟⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲁⲣⲓⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲕⲛⲁⲱⲛϩ̅.
29 But he, wishing to justify himself, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbor?
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲉϣⲧⲙⲁⲓ̈ⲟϥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛ̅ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲧϩⲓⲧⲟⲩⲱⲓ̈.
30 Jesus answering said, A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers; who after stripping him of his raiment, and wounding him, departed, leaving him half dead.
ⲗ̅ⲁⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ. ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲉ͡ⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲑⲓⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥⲁⲗⲏⲙ ⲉⲓ̈ⲉⲣⲓⲭⲱ. ⲁϥⲉ͡ⲓ ⲉⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ϩⲉⲛⲙⲁ ⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲛⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲕⲁⲁϥ ⲕⲁϩⲏⲟⲩ ⲁⲩϫϥ̅ϩⲉⲛⲥⲁϣ ⲁⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲁⲩⲕⲁⲁϥ ⲉϥⲟ̅ ⲙ̅ⲡϣⲙⲟⲩ.
31 And by chance a certain priest was going down on that road; and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩϣⲥ̅ⲛⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲏⲏⲃ ⲉ͡ⲓ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧʾ ϩⲓⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁϥⲥⲁⲁⲧϥ̅.
32 And in like manner also a Levite, having arrived at the place, came and saw, and passed by on the other side.
ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ϩⲟⲙⲟⲓⲱⲥ ⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲗⲉⲩⲉⲧⲏⲥ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲉ͡ⲓ ⲉϫⲙ̅ⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁϥⲥⲁⲁⲧϥ̅.
33 But a certain Samaritan, as he was journeying, came where he was, and when he saw him, had compassion,
ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ⲁⲩⲥⲁⲙⲁⲣⲓⲧⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲉ͡ⲓ ⲉϫⲱϥ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁϥϣⲛ̅ϩⲧⲏϥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉϫⲱϥ.
34 and went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine, and setting him on his own beast, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ⲁϥϯⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲟⲓ̈ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁϥⲙⲟⲩⲣ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉϥⲥⲁϣ ⲁϥⲡⲱϩⲧ̅ʾ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲛⲉϩ ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲙ̅ⲟⲩⲏⲣⲡ̅ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲗⲟϥ ⲉϫⲛ̅ⲡⲉϥⲧⲃ̅ⲛⲏ ⲙ̅ⲙⲓⲛ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲁϥⲛ̅ⲧϥ̅ ⲉⲩⲡⲁⲛⲧⲟⲭⲓⲟⲛ ⲁϥϥⲓⲡⲉϥⲣⲟⲟⲩϣ.
35 And the next day, he took out two denaries and gave them to the host, and said, Take care of him; and whatever thou spendest more, I, when I come back, will repay thee.
ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ⲙ̅ⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲥⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁϥϯϥⲕⲏⲧⲉ ⲙⲡ̅ʾⲡⲁⲛⲧⲟⲭⲉⲩⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ. ϥⲓⲡⲉϥⲣⲟⲟⲩϣ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲧⲕ̅ⲛⲁϫⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲣⲟϥ. ⲉⲓ̈ϣⲁⲛⲕⲧⲟⲓ̈ ϯⲛⲁⲧⲁⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲕ.
36 Which of these three, dost thou think, was neighbor to him that fell among the robbers?
ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ⲛⲓⲙ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲓ̈ϣⲟⲙⲛ̅ⲧ ⲛ̅ⲛⲁϩⲣⲁⲕ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲣ̅ⲡⲉⲧϩⲓⲧⲟⲩⲱϥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲉ͡ⲓ ⲉⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲛⲉ.
37 And he said, He that took pity on him. Then said Jesus to him, Go, and do thou likewise.
ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲣ̅ⲡⲛⲁ ⲛⲙ̅ⲙⲁϥ ⲡⲉ. ⲡⲉϫⲉⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲃⲱⲕ ϩⲱⲱⲕ ⲛⲅ̅ⲉⲓⲣⲉ ϩⲓⲛⲁⲓ̈·
38 And it came to pass, as they journeyed, that he entered into a certain village; and a certain woman, named Martha, received him into her house.
ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲧⲣⲉⲩⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲩϯⲙⲉ ⲁⲩⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲣⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲙⲁⲣⲑⲁ ϣⲟⲡϥ̅ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ.
39 And she had a sister called Mary, who sat down at the feet of the Lord, and listened to his word.
ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ⲛⲉⲟⲩⲛⲧⲥ̅ⲟⲩⲥⲱⲛⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲉϣⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ. ⲧⲁⲓ̈ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲥϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ϩⲁⲧⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲉⲣⲏⲧⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁⲥⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲉⲡⲉϥϣⲁϫⲉ.
40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving; and she came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? Tell her therefore to help me.
ⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲣⲑⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲥⲡⲉⲣⲓⲥⲡⲁ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛ̅ⲇⲓⲁⲕⲟⲛⲓⲁ. ⲁⲥⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧⲥ̅ ⲉϫⲱϥ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲕⲣⲟⲟⲩϣ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉ ⲁⲧⲁⲥⲱⲛⲉ ⲕⲁⲁⲧʾ ⲙⲁⲩⲁⲁⲧʾ ⲉⲓ̈ⲇⲓⲁⲕⲟⲛⲓ. ⲁϫⲓⲥ ϭⲉ ⲛⲁⲥ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲥⲉⲡⲱϣⲛ̅ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ̈.
41 But the Lord answering said to her, Martha, Martha, thou art anxious and troubled about many things.
ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ⲁⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ̅ ⲛⲁⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ. ⲙⲁⲣⲑⲁ ⲙⲁⲣⲑⲁ ⲧⲉϥⲓⲣⲟⲟⲩϣ ϩⲁϩⲁϩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲉϣⲧⲣ̅ⲧⲱⲣ.
42 But one thing is needful. For Mary hath chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
ⲙ̅ⲃ̅ⲟⲩⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣ̅ⲭⲣⲓⲁ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ. ⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲥⲥⲉⲧⲡ̅ʾⲧ̅ʾⲧⲟ ⲛⲁⲥ ⲉⲧⲛⲁⲛⲟⲩⲥ ⲧⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲛⲥⲉⲛⲁϥⲓⲧⲥ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲟⲧⲥ̅ ⲁⲛ·
