Jude 1
1 Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to the called, loved in God the Father and kept by Jesus Christ:
Juda, služabnik Jezusa Kristusa in Jakobov brat, tem, ki so posvečeni po Bogu Očetu in ohranjeni v Jezusu Kristusu in poklicani:
2 Mercy and peace and love be multiplied to you.

3 Beloved, while giving all diligence to write to you, I found it necessary to write to you concerning the common salvation, exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once delivered to the saints.
Ljubljeni, ko sem posvetíl vso marljivost, da vam pišem o skupni rešitvi duš, je bilo zame nujno, da vam pišem in vas spodbujam, da se resno borite za vero, ki je bila enkrat [za vselej] izročena svetim.
4 For there have stealthily crept in certain men who were of old appointed beforehand for this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into wantonness, and denying the only Sovereign, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Kajti ne-sluteč so se prikradli določeni ljudje, ki so bili že od davno odrejeni za to obsodbo, brezbožni ljudje, ki milost našega Boga sprevračajo v opolzkost in zanikajo edinega Gospoda Boga in našega Gospoda Jezusa Kristusa.
5 But I wish to remind you as once knowing it all, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who believed not;
Hočem vas torej spomniti, čeprav ste nekoč to vedeli, da je Gospod, ki je ljudi rešil iz egiptovske dežele, potem uničil te, ki niso verovali.
6 and the angels which kept not their principality, but left their own dwelling-place, he hath kept in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day; (aïdios g126)

7 even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them, in like manner with them giving themselves over to fornication, and going away after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of everlasting fire. (aiōnios g166)

8 Yet in like manner these dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and rail at dignities.
Podobno tudi ti umazani sanjači omadežujejo meso, prezirajo gospostvo in hudobno govorijo o dostojanstvih.
9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the Devil he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a railing accusation, but said: The Lord rebuke thee.
Vendarle si nadangel Mihael, ko se je pričkal s hudičem in prerekal glede Mojzesovega telesa, ni drznil zoper njega udrihati obtožbe, temveč je rekel: »Gospod te ošteje.«
10 But these rail at the things which they know not; but what things they understand naturally, as brute beasts, in these they corrupt themselves.
Toda ti govorijo hudobno o teh stvareh, ki jih ne poznajo; toda kar naravno vedo kot brezčutne živali, v teh stvareh sami sebe kvarijo.
11 Woe to them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and rushed on in the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Korah.
Gorje jim! Kajti odšli so na Kajnovo pot in lakomno tekli za Bileámovo zmoto po nagrado in propadli v Korahovem uporu.
12 These are the rocks in your feasts of love, feasting together without fear, feeding only themselves; clouds without water, carried away by winds; trees in late autumn, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
Ti so madeži na vaših dobrodelnih pojedinah, ko se zabavajo z vami in se hranijo brez strahu. Oblaki so brez vode, ki jih vetrovi nosijo okoli; drevesa, katerih sad vene, brez sadu, dvakrat mrtva, izruvana s koreninami;
13 raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. (aiōn g165)

14 Yea, and against these Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord cometh in the midst of his holy myriads,
In tudi Henoh, sedmi od Adama, je prerokoval o njih, rekoč: ›Glej, Gospod prihaja z deset tisoči svojih svetih,
15 to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly among them of all the deeds of their ungodliness which they committed; and of all the hard things which ungodly sinners spoke against him.”
da izvrši sodbo nad vsemi in da prepriča vse, ki so med njimi brezbožni, o vseh njihovih brezbožnih dejanjih, ki so jih brezbožno zagrešili in o vseh njihovih trdih govorih, ki so jih brezbožni grešniki govorili zoper njega.‹
16 These are murmurers, complaining of their lot, walking according to their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words; admiring men's persons, for the sake of profit.
To so godrnjači, pritoževalci, ki hodijo za svojimi lastnimi poželenji; in njihova usta govorijo velike napihnjene besede, ker zaradi koristi občudujejo človeško zunanjost.
17 But do ye, beloved, remember the words which were before spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Toda ljubljeni, spominjajte se besed, ki so vam jih prej govorili apostoli našega Gospoda Jezusa Kristusa,
18 that they told you that at the last time there would be scoffers, walking according to their own ungodly lusts.
kako so vam povedali, da bodo v poslednjem času zasmehovalci, ki naj bi hodili za svojimi lastnimi brezbožnimi poželenji.
19 These are they that separate themselves, sensual, not having the Spirit.
Ti so tisti, ki se oddvojijo, čutni, ki nimajo Duha.
20 But do ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
Toda vi, ljubljeni, se izgrajujte v svoji najsvetejši veri, moleč v Svetem Duhu,
21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
ohranite se v Božji ljubezni, pričakujte usmiljenje našega Gospoda Jezusa Kristusa, za večno življenje. (aiōnios g166)
22 And some rebuke when they contend; and others save, snatching them out of the fire; and on others have compassion
In do nekaterih imejte sočutje, s tem da delate razliko;
23 with fear, hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
druge pa rešite s strahom in jih potegnite iz ognja; in sovražite celó obleko, omadeževano z mesom.
24 But to him that is able to keep them from falling, and to present them faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
Torej njemu, ki vas je zmožen varovati pred padcem in vas s silno radostjo predstaviti brezhibne pred prisotnost svoje slave,
