Jude 1
1 Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to the called, loved in God the Father and kept by Jesus Christ:
Juda, služebník Ježíše Krista, bratr Jakubův, píše těm, které Bůh povolal, miluje a pro Ježíše Krista chrání.
2 Mercy and peace and love be multiplied to you.
Přeji vám, abyste zakoušeli stále více milosti, pokoje a lásky!
3 Beloved, while giving all diligence to write to you, I found it necessary to write to you concerning the common salvation, exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once delivered to the saints.
Moji drazí, tolik jsem si přál napsat vám o našem společném spasení, ale cítím, že je potřebnější, abych vás povzbudil v zápase o víru, která byla jednou provždy darována Božímu lidu.
4 For there have stealthily crept in certain men who were of old appointed beforehand for this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into wantonness, and denying the only Sovereign, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Mezi vás se totiž vloudili lidé, kteří nemají žádnou úctu před Bohem a jeho milost využívají jako příležitost k nevázanému životu. O takových lidech bylo už dávno psáno, že jsou odsouzeni, protože se obrátili proti našemu jedinému Vládci a Pánu – Ježíši Kristu.
5 But I wish to remind you as once knowing it all, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who believed not;
Připomínám vám to, co už znáte: ačkoliv Bůh zachránil Izraelce vyvedením z Egypta, přece potom zahubil ty z nich, kteří mu nedůvěřovali a neposlouchali ho.
6 and the angels which kept not their principality, but left their own dwelling-place, he hath kept in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day; (aïdios g126)
Také anděly, kteří zklamali ve svém vysokém postavení, Bůh navždy vyhostil ze své blízkosti a střeží je pro den soudu. (aïdios g126)
7 even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them, in like manner with them giving themselves over to fornication, and going away after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of everlasting fire. (aiōnios g166)
Podobně obyvatelé Sodomy a Gomory i okolních měst, kteří šli cestou nemravnosti a sexuální zvrácenosti, jsou stále výstražným příkladem hrozného konce ve věčném ohni. (aiōnios g166)
8 Yet in like manner these dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and rail at dignities.
Přesto se tito falešní křesťané chovají podobně. Zapadli hluboko do hříchu, zneužívají svá těla, pohrdají jakoukoliv autoritou a rouhají se nadpozemským mocnostem.
9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the Devil he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a railing accusation, but said: The Lord rebuke thee.
A přece ani sám archanděl Michael se neodvážil odsoudit satana. Když se s ním přel o Mojžíšovo tělo, řekl pouze: „Pán tě potrestej!“
10 But these rail at the things which they know not; but what things they understand naturally, as brute beasts, in these they corrupt themselves.
Tito zbloudilci si však klidně tropí žerty z toho, co nechápou. Co svými pudy jako nerozumná zvířata znají, tomu propadají, a to je vede ke zkáze.
11 Woe to them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and rushed on in the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Korah.
Běda jim! Dali se cestou Kainovou, který nedbal na Boží příkazy a stal se nakonec vrahem svého bratra. Stejně jako Bileám jsou schopni zradit Boží pravdu pro peníze. Odsoudili se k záhubě vzpourou proti Bohu, podobně jako Kórach, který toužil dosáhnout vysokého postavení.
12 These are the rocks in your feasts of love, feasting together without fear, feeding only themselves; clouds without water, carried away by winds; trees in late autumn, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
Při vašem bratrském stolování se tito lidé beze studu přecpávají, protože myslí jen na sebe, a tak se stávají poskvrnou vašeho společenství. Jsou jako mraky bez deště hnané větrem sem a tam, jako neplodné stromy na podzim, mrtvé a vykořeněné.
13 raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. (aiōn g165)
Jsou jako divoké mořské vlny vyplavující vlastní špínu, jako zbloudilé hvězdy, které se ztratily v temnotě vesmíru. (aiōn g165)
14 Yea, and against these Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord cometh in the midst of his holy myriads,
O takových lidech prorokoval Henoch, příslušník šesté generace od Adama: „Pán přijde s mnoha tisíci anděly,
15 to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly among them of all the deeds of their ungodliness which they committed; and of all the hard things which ungodly sinners spoke against him.”
aby všechny soudil a bezbožné hříšníky trestal za jejich nevěru, špatné jednání a tvrdá slova proti Bohu.“Těmto lidem není nic vhod a dělají všechno zlé, co se jim zachce.
16 These are murmurers, complaining of their lot, walking according to their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words; admiring men's persons, for the sake of profit.
Mluví nadutě a lichotí lidem, přináší-li jim to prospěch.
17 But do ye, beloved, remember the words which were before spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Ale vy, moji milovaní, pamatujte na slova Ježíšových apoštolů,
18 that they told you that at the last time there would be scoffers, walking according to their own ungodly lusts.
kteří nám předpověděli, že se v posledním čase objeví lidé zlehčující Boží pravdu. Jejich jediným cílem je „užívat života“, jak se dá.
19 These are they that separate themselves, sensual, not having the Spirit.
Působí roztržky. Jsou to lidé ovládaní svými pudy, a ne Božím Duchem.
20 But do ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
Ale vy, moji přátelé, budujte dále na základech dokonalé víry, modlete se v Duchu svatém a zůstávejte v Boží lásce.
21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
Trpělivě čekejte na věčný život daný z milosti našeho Pána Ježíše Krista. (aiōnios g166)
22 And some rebuke when they contend; and others save, snatching them out of the fire; and on others have compassion
Soucitně pomáhejte těm, kteří kolísají ve víře.
23 with fear, hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
Zachráníte je tak od záhuby. Mějte slitování i nad těmi, kteří hrubě zhřešili. Přistupujte k nim však s velkou opatrností, abyste sami zůstali čistí.
24 But to him that is able to keep them from falling, and to present them faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
Bůh má moc uchránit vás před pádem a přivést vás čisté a dokonalé do slávy ve věčně trvající radosti.
