John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
၁ကမ္ဘာလောကကိုဖန်ဆင်းတော်မမူမီကပင် နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်ရှိတော်မူ၏။ နှုတ်ကပတ်တော် သည်ဘုရားသခင်နှင့်အတူရှိတော်မူ၏။ နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်သည်လည်းဘုရားဖြစ်တော်မူ၏။-
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
၂နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်သည်အစအဦး၌ ဘုရားသခင်နှင့်အတူရှိတော်မူ၏။-
3 All things were made through him; and without him was nothing made that hath been made.
၃ဘုရားသခင်သည်နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်အားဖြင့် ခပ်သိမ်းသောအရာတို့ကိုဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူ၏။ ဖန်ဆင်းခြင်းနှင့်ကင်း၍ပေါ်လာသောအရာ တစ်စုံတစ်ခုမျှမရှိ။-
4 In him is life; and the life was the light of men.
၄ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူသမျှသောအရာတို့သည် နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်အားဖြင့် အသက်ကိုရရှိကြ၏။ ထိုအသက်သည်လူသားတို့ အတွက်အလင်းဖြစ်၏။-
5 And the light hath been shining in the darkness; and the darkness received it not.
၅ထိုအလင်းသည်အမှောင်တွင်ထွန်းလင်း၍အမှောင်သည် ထိုအလင်းကိုအဘယ်အခါမျှမဖုံးလွှမ်းနိုင်။
6 There was a man, sent from God, whose name was John.
၆ဘုရားသခင်သည်ယောဟန်ဆိုသူအားမိမိ ၏စေတမန်အဖြစ်ဖြင့်စေလွှတ်တော်မူ၏။-
7 He came as a witness, to bear witness of the light, that through him all might believe.
၇တရားတော်ကိုလူအပေါင်းတို့ကြား၍ ယုံကြည်လာစိမ့်သောငှာ ထိုသူသည်အလင်း တော်အကြောင်းကိုသက်သေခံရန်လာ၏။-
8 He was not the light, but came to bear witness of the light.
၈သူသည်အလင်းတော်မဟုတ်။ အလင်းတော် အကြောင်းကိုသက်သေခံရန်လာသူဖြစ်၏။-
9 The true light, which enlighteneth every man, was coming into the world.
၉ထိုအလင်းတော်သည်လောကသို့ကြွလာ၍ လူသားအပေါင်းတို့အပေါ်တွင် ထွန်းလင်း တောက်ပသည့်စစ်မှန်သောအလင်းဖြစ်ပေ သည်။
10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world knew him not.
၁၀နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်သည်လောက၌ရှိတော်မူ၏။ လောကကိုနှုတ်ကပတ်တော်အားဖြင့်ဖန်ဆင်း တော်မူသော်လည်း လောကသည်ကိုယ်တော်ကို မသိ။-
11 He came to his own, and his own received him not.
၁၁ကိုယ်တော်သည်မိမိနေရင်းပြည်သို့ကြွတော်မူ သော်လည်း မိမိ၏ပြည်သားများကလက်မခံ ကြ။-
12 But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become children of God, —to those who believed in his name;
၁၂သို့ရာတွင်လူအချို့တို့သည်ကိုယ်တော်ကို ယုံကြည်လက်ခံသဖြင့် ဘုရားသခင်၏သား သမီးများဖြစ်ခွင့်ကိုရကြ၏။-
13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
၁၃ထိုသူတို့သည်လူသားဖခင်မှပေါက်ဖွားလာ သောသားသမီးများမဟုတ်။ ဘုရားသခင် ပေါက်ဖွားစေတော်မူသောသူများဖြစ်ကြ၏။
14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; and we beheld his glory, a glory as of an only begotten of a father.
၁၄နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်သည်လူဇာတိကိုခံယူ၍ ကျေးဇူးတော်၊ သစ္စာတော်နှင့်ပြည့်စုံလျက် ငါတို့ထံတွင်စံနေတော်မူ၏။ ငါတို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်၏ဘုန်းအသရေတော်ကိုဖူးမြင် ရကြ၏။ ထိုဘုန်းအသရေတော်ကားခမည်း တော်၏တစ်ပါးတည်းသောသားတော်အဖြစ် ဖြင့်ခံယူရရှိသောဘုန်းအသရေတော်ပင် ဖြစ်သတည်း။
15 John beareth witness of him, and crieth, saying, This was he of whom I said, He that cometh after me hath gone before me; for he was before me.
၁၅ကိုယ်တော်၏အကြောင်းကိုယောဟန်ဟောပြော၏။ ယောဟန်က ``ငါ၏နောက်ကြွလာသူသည်ငါ မမွေးမီကပင်ရှိနေနှင့်သဖြင့်ငါ့ထက်ကြီး မြတ်သူဖြစ်သည်ဟုငါသက်သေခံခဲ့သူကား ဤအရှင်ပင်တည်း'' ဟုကြွေးကြော်လေသည်။
16 For out of his fullness have we all received, and grace upon grace.
၁၆ကိုယ်တော်သည်ကျေးဇူးတော်ပြည့်စုံကြွယ်ဝတော် မူသည်နှင့်အညီ ငါတို့အားကောင်းချီးမင်္ဂလာ တစ်ပါးပြီးတစ်ပါးချပေးတော်မူ၏။-
17 For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
၁၇ဘုရားသခင်သည်ပညတ်တရားကိုမောရှေ အားဖြင့်ပေးအပ်တော်မူ၏။ သို့ရာတွင်ကျေးဇူး တရားနှင့် သစ္စာတရားတို့ကိုမူကားယေရှုခရစ် အားဖြင့်ပေးအပ်တော်မူ၏။-
18 No one hath ever seen God; the only begotten God, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath made him known.
၁၈လူတစ်စုံတစ်ယောက်မျှဘုရားသခင်ကိုမမြင် စဖူးသော်လည်း ခမည်းတော်၏ရင်ခွင်၌ရှိတော် မူသော၊ ဘုရားဖြစ်တော်မူသော၊ တစ်ပါးတည်း သောသားတော်သည် ဘုရားသခင်ကိုထင်ရှား စေတော်မူပြီ။
19 And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem, to ask him, Who art thou?
၁၉ယေရုရှလင်မြို့ရှိယုဒအမျိုးသားတို့သည် ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်နှင့် လေဝိအနွယ်ဝင်အချို့ တို့ကိုယောဟန်ထံသို့စေလွှတ်၍ ``သင်သည် အဘယ်သူနည်း'' ဟုမေးမြန်းစေကြ၏။
20 And he declared, and did not deny; and he declared, I am not the Christ.
၂၀ထိုအခါယောဟန်က ``ငါသည်မေရှိယ မဟုတ်'' ဟုထိန်ဝှက်ခြင်းမရှိဘဲအတိ အလင်းပြောဆို၏။
21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elijah? And he said, I am not. Art thou the prophet? And he answered, No.
၂၁ထိုသူတို့က ``သင်သည်မေရှိယမဟုတ်လျှင် အဘယ်သူနည်း။ ဧလိယပေလော'' ဟုတစ်ဖန် မေးပြန်ကြ၏။ ယောဟန်က ``ငါသည်ဧလိယမဟုတ်'' ဟုဆို၏။ သူတို့က ``ပရောဖက်ပေလော'' ဟုမေးကြလျှင်၊ ``ငါသည်ပရောဖက်လည်းမဟုတ်'' ဟုဆိုပြန်၏။
22 They said therefore to him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to those who sent us; what sayest thou of thyself?
၂၂ထိုသူတို့က ``သင်သည်အဘယ်သူနည်း။ ငါ တို့ကိုစေလွှတ်လိုက်သူများအားပြန်၍ ပြောရပါမည်။ သင်ကိုယ်တိုင်ကမည်သို့ ဆိုပါသနည်း'' ဟုမေးမြန်းကြ၏။
23 He said, I am “a voice of one crying aloud in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord,” as said Isaiah the prophet.
၂၃ယောဟန်က ``ငါသည်ပရောဖက်ဟေရှာယ ဖော်ပြခဲ့သည်အတိုင်း၊ `ထာဝရဘုရားသခင်၏လမ်းခရီးတော်ကို ဖြောင့်တန်းအောင်ပြုကြလော့' ဟု တောကန္တာရ၌ကြွေးကြော်နေသောအသံဖြစ်၏'' ဟုဆို၏။
24 And they were sent from the Pharisees;
၂၄ယောဟန်ထံသို့ရောက်လာကြသောစေတမန် များတွင်ဖာရိရှဲအချို့ပါ၏။-
25 and they asked him and said to him, Why then dost thou baptize, if thou art not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the prophet?
၂၅ထိုသူတို့က ``သင်သည်မေရှိယမဟုတ်၊ ဧလိယ လည်းမဟုတ်၊ ပရောဖက်လည်းမဟုတ်ပါမူအဘယ် ကြောင့်ဗတ္တိဇံမင်္ဂလာကိုပေးပါသနည်း'' ဟု မေးကြ၏။
26 John answered them, saying, I baptize in water. There standeth one among you whom ye know not,
၂၆ယောဟန်က ``ငါသည်ရေဖြင့်ဗတ္တိဇံမင်္ဂလာ ကိုပေး၏။ သင်တို့တွင်သင်တို့မသိသော အရှင်ရှိ၏။-
27 he who cometh after me, the latchet of whose sandal I am not worthy to loose.
၂၇ထိုအရှင်သည်ငါ့နောက်ကြွလာသော်လည်း ငါ သည်သူ၏ဖိနပ်ကြိုးကိုမျှမဖြည်ထိုက်'' ဟု ဆို၏။
28 These things took place in Bethany beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
၂၈ယောဟန်ဗတ္တိဇံမင်္ဂလာပေးရာယော်ဒန်မြစ် အရှေ့ဘက်ကမ်းရှိဗေသနိရွာတွင်ဤအမှု အရာဖြစ်ပျက်သတည်း။
29 The next day he seeth Jesus coming to him, and saith, Behold, the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sin of the world!
၂၉နောက်တစ်နေ့၌မိမိ၏ထံသို့သခင်ယေရှု ကြွလာသည်ကိုမြင်လျှင် ယောဟန်က ``လောက သားတို့၏အပြစ်ကိုယူဆောင်သွားတော်မူ သောဘုရားသခင်၏သိုးသူငယ်တော်ကို ကြည့်ကြလော့။-
30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man, who hath gone before me; for he was before me.
၃၀`ငါမမွေးမီကပင်ရှိနေနှင့်သဖြင့် ငါ့ထက် ကြီးမြတ်သောသူသည်ငါ၏နောက်တွင်ကြွ လာလိမ့်မည်' ဟုယခင်အခါကငါဖော်ပြ ခဲ့သူကားထိုသူပင်တည်း။-
31 And I knew him not; but that he might be made manifest to Israel, therefore I came baptizing in water.
၃၁ကိုယ်တော်သည်မည်သူဖြစ်သည်ကိုယခင် အခါကငါမသိ။ သို့ရာတွင်ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားတို့သူ့ကိုသိရှိနိုင်ကြစေရန် ငါ သည်ရေဖြင့်ဗတ္တိဇံမင်္ဂလာကိုပေးခြင်းဖြစ်၏'' ဟုဆို၏။
32 And John bore witness, saying, I have seen the Spirit descending as a dove from heaven, and it abode upon him.
၃၂ထိုနောက်ယောဟန်က ``ဝိညာဉ်တော်သည် ကောင်းကင်မှချိုးငှက်အသွင်ဖြင့်ဆင်းသက်၍ ကိုယ်တော်၏အပေါ်မှာနားသည်ကိုငါမြင် ရ၏။-
33 And I knew him not; but he who sent me to baptize in water, the same said to me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending and abiding on him, he it is that baptizeth in the Holy Spirit.
၃၃ကိုယ်တော်သည်မည်သူဖြစ်သည်ကို ယခင်က ငါမသိ။ သို့သော်ရေဖြင့်ဗတ္တိဇံမင်္ဂလာပေးရန် ငါ့ကိုစေလွှတ်တော်မူသောဘုရားသခင် က `ဝိညာဉ်တော်သည်ဆင်းသက်၍တစ်စုံ တစ်ယောက်သောသူ၏အပေါ်မှာနားတော်မူ သည်ကိုသင်မြင်ရလိမ့်မည်' ဟုငါ့အား မိန့်တော်မူခဲ့၏။-
34 And I have seen and have borne witness, that this is the Son of God.
၃၄ဤသို့မိန့်တော်မူသည်အတိုင်းငါတွေ့မြင်ရပြီ ဖြစ်၍ ဤသူသည်ဘုရားသခင်၏သားတော် ဖြစ်ကြောင်းကိုငါသက်သေခံ၏'' ဟုဆို၏။
35 On the morrow John was again standing, and two of his disciples;
၃၅နောက်တစ်နေ့၌ယောဟန်သည် တပည့် နှစ်ယောက်နှင့်အတူရပ်လျက်နေစဉ်၊-
36 and looking upon Jesus as he was walking, he saith, Behold, the Lamb of God!
၃၆သခင်ယေရှုကြွတော်မူသည်ကိုမြင် သဖြင့် ``ဘုရားသခင်၏သိုးသူငယ်တော်ကို ကြည့်လော့'' ဟုဆို၏။
37 The two disciples heard him speaking, and they followed Jesus.
၃၇သူ၏တပည့်နှစ်ယောက်တို့သည်ထိုစကားကို ကြားလျှင် သခင်ယေရှု၏နောက်တော်သို့ လိုက်သွားကြ၏။-
38 Jesus turning and seeing them following, saith to them, What seek ye? And they said to him, Rabbi, (that is to say, when interpreted, Teacher, ) where dost thou dwell?
၃၈သခင်ယေရှုသည်နောက်သို့လှည့်၍ကြည့်တော် မူရာ ထိုသူတို့လိုက်လာသည်ကိုမြင်တော်မူ လျှင် ``သင်တို့အဘယ်အရာကိုအလိုရှိကြ သနည်း'' ဟုမေးတော်မူ၏။ ထိုသူတို့က ``ရဗ္ဗိ၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည်အဘယ်မှာ နေတော်မူပါသနည်း'' ဟုမေးလျှောက်ကြ၏။ (ရဗ္ဗိ၏အနက်ကားအရှင်ဘုရားဟုဆိုလို၏)
39 He saith to them, Come, and ye shall see. They came therefore and saw where he dwelt; and they abode with him that day. It was about the tenth hour.
၃၉ကိုယ်တော်က ``လာ၍ကြည့်ကြလော့'' ဟုမိန့်တော် မူ၏။ ထိုအချိန်သည်ညနေလေးနာရီအချိန် ဖြစ်သည်။ သူတို့သည်လိုက်၍ကိုယ်တော်နေတော် မူရာအရပ်ကိုမြင်ပြီးလျှင် ကိုယ်တော်နှင့်အတူ မိုးချုပ်သည်တိုင်အောင်နေကြ၏။
40 One of the two who heard what John said, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.
၄၀ယောဟန်၏စကားကိုကြား၍ ကိုယ်တော်၏ နောက်တော်သို့လိုက်သွားသူနှစ်ယောက်အနက် တစ်ယောက်မှာရှိမုန်ပေတရု၏ညီအန္ဒြေ ဖြစ်၏။-
41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith to him, We have found the Messiah; (which is, when interpreted, the Christ.)
၄၁သူသည်အစ်ကိုဖြစ်သူရှိမုန်ကိုချက်ချင်းရှာ ၍ ``မေရှိယအရှင်ကိုငါတို့တွေ့ပြီ'' ဟုဆို၏။ (မေရှိယအနက်မှာ ခရစ်တော်ဖြစ်သတည်း။)-
42 He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looking upon him said, Thou art Simon, the son of John; thou shalt be called Cephas; (which signifieth Peter, that is, Rock.)
၄၂ထိုနောက်သူသည်ရှိမုန်အားသခင်ယေရှု ထံတော်သို့ခေါ်ဆောင်သွားလေသည်။ သခင်ယေရှုသည်ရှိမုန်ကိုကြည့်၍ ``သင်သည် ယောဟန်၏သားရှိမုန်ဖြစ်၏။ ကေဖနာမည် သစ်ကိုရလိမ့်မည်'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။ (ကေဖ ကားပေတရုဟူသောအမည်နှင့်ထပ်တူ ဖြစ်၍ ကျောက်ဟုအနက်ရှိ၏။)
43 On the morrow he determined to go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip. And Jesus saith to him, Follow me.
၄၃နောက်တစ်နေ့၌ကိုယ်တော်သည်ဂါလိလဲပြည် သို့ကြွတော်မူရန် စိတ်ပိုင်းဖြတ်တော်မူ၏။ ဖိလိပ္ပု ကိုတွေ့လျှင် ``ငါ့နောက်သို့လိုက်လော့'' ဟုမိန့်တော် မူ၏။-
44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
၄၄(ဖိလိပ္ပုသည်ဗက်ဇဲဒမြို့သားဖြစ်၏။ ဗက်ဇဲဒ မြို့ကားအန္ဒြေနှင့်ပေတရုတို့နေထိုင်ရာမြို့ တည်း။)-
45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith to him, We have found him of whom Moses in the Law, and the Prophets wrote, Jesus, the son of Joseph, who is of Nazareth.
၄၅ဖိလိပ္ပုသည်နာသနေလကိုတွေ့သဖြင့် ``မောရှေ ၏ပညတ်ကျမ်းတွင်လည်းကောင်း၊ ပရောဖက်ကျမ်း များတွင်လည်းကောင်းရေးသားဖော်ပြထားသူ ကိုငါတို့တွေ့ပြီ။ ထိုသူသည်ယောသပ်၏သား၊ နာဇရက်မြို့သားယေရှုဖြစ်၏'' ဟုဆို၏။
46 And Nathanael said to him, Can any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith to him, Come and see.
၄၆နာသနေလက ``နာဇရက်မြို့မှကောင်းသည့် အရာတစ်စုံတစ်ခုထွက်ပေါ်နိုင်ပါသလော'' ဟုပြန်၍မေး၏။ ဖိလိပ္ပုက ``လာ၍ကြည့်ပါ'' ဟုဆို၏။
47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile.
၄၇နာသနေလလာနေသည်ကိုသခင်ယေရှုမြင် တော်မူလျှင် ``ပရိယာယ်ကင်းသူဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားစစ်ကိုကြည့်ကြလော့'' ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
48 Nathanael saith to him, Whence dost thou know me? Jesus answered and said to him, Before Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig-tree, I saw thee.
၄၈နာသနေလက ``ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်သည်အဘယ်သို့ အကျွန်ုပ်ကိုသိရှိပါသနည်း'' ဟုမေးလျှောက် ၏။ သခင်ယေရှုက ``သင့်အားဖိလိပ္ပုမခေါ်မီ သဖန်းပင်အောက်တွင်ရှိနေစဉ်အခါကပင် လျှင် သင့်ကိုငါမြင်၏'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။
49 Nathanael answered him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God, thou art the king of Israel.
၄၉ထိုအခါနာသနေလက ``အရှင်ဘုရား၊ ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်သည်ဘုရားသခင်၏သားတော် ဖြစ်ပါ၏။ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့၏ ဘုရင်ဖြစ်တော်မူပါ၏'' ဟုလျှောက်လေ၏။
50 Jesus answered and said to him, Because I said to thee, I saw thee under the fig-tree, dost thou believe? Thou shalt see greater things than these.
၅၀သခင်ယေရှုက ``သဖန်းပင်အောက်တွင်သင့် ကိုငါမြင်ကြောင်းပြောပြသည့်အတွက်သင် ယုံသလော။ ဤထက်ပို၍အံ့သြဖွယ်သော အမှုအရာတို့ကိုသင်မြင်ရလိမ့်မည်။-
51 And he saith to him, Truly, truly do I say to you, Ye will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
၅၁အမှန်အကန်သင်တို့အားငါဆိုသည်ကား ကောင်းကင်ပွင့်လျက် လူသားအပေါ်တွင်ဘုရား သခင်၏ကောင်းကင်တမန်များဆင်းလျက် တက်လျက်နေကြသည်ကိုသင်တို့မြင်ရ ကြလတ္တံ့' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။
