John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
১আদিতে বাক্য আছিল; বাক্য ঈশ্বৰৰ সৈতে আছিল আৰু সেই বাক্যই স্বয়ং ঈশ্বৰ।
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
২এই বাক্য আদিতে ঈশ্বৰে সৈতে আছিল।
3 All things were made through him; and without him was nothing made that hath been made.
৩তেওঁৰ দ্বাৰাই সকলো সৃষ্টি হ’ল আৰু যি সকলো হ’ল, সেইবোৰৰ এটাও তেওঁৰ অবিহনে নহ’ল।
4 In him is life; and the life was the light of men.
৪জীৱন বাক্যতেই আৰু সেই জীৱনেই সকলো মানুহৰ বাবে পোহৰ।
5 And the light hath been shining in the darkness; and the darkness received it not.
৫সেই পোহৰ আন্ধাৰত উজ্বলি উঠিল আৰু আন্ধাৰে তাক পৰাভূত নকৰিলে।
6 There was a man, sent from God, whose name was John.
৬ঈশ্বৰে যোহন নামেৰে এজন মানুহক পঠিয়াইছিল।
7 He came as a witness, to bear witness of the light, that through him all might believe.
৭তেওঁ সেই পোহৰৰ বিষয়ে সাক্ষ্য দিবলৈ এজন সাক্ষীৰূপে আহিছিল যাতে তেওঁৰ দ্বাৰাই সকলোৱে বিশ্বাস কৰে।
8 He was not the light, but came to bear witness of the light.
৮যোহন নিজে সেই পোহৰ নাছিল; তেওঁ সেই পোহৰৰ বিষয়ে সাক্ষ্য দিবলৈহে আহিছিল।
9 The true light, which enlighteneth every man, was coming into the world.
৯সেই পোহৰ জগতলৈ আহিছিল আৰু সকলো মানুহকে পোহৰ দিয়া, সেই সত্য পোহৰ আছিল।
10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world knew him not.
১০তেওঁ জগততে আছিল; জগত তেওঁৰ দ্বাৰাই সৃষ্টি হৈছিল, কিন্তু জগতে তেওঁক নাজানিলে।
11 He came to his own, and his own received him not.
১১যি জগত তেওঁৰ নিজৰেই, তেওঁ সেই ঠাইলৈ আহিল, কিন্তু তেওঁৰ নিজৰ লোকেই তেওঁক গ্ৰহণ নকৰিলে।
12 But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become children of God, —to those who believed in his name;
১২কিন্তু যিমান মানুহে তেওঁক গ্ৰহণ কৰিলে আৰু তেওঁৰ নামত বিশ্বাস কৰিলে, সেই লোক সকলক ঈশ্বৰৰ সন্তান হ’বলৈ তেওঁ ক্ষমতা দিলে।
13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
১৩তেওঁলোকৰ জন্ম তেজৰ পৰা বা মাংসিক অভিলাষৰ পৰা বা মানুহৰ ইচ্ছাৰ পৰা হ’ল, এনে নহয়, কিন্তু ঈশ্বৰৰ ইচ্ছাৰ পৰাহে হৈছে।
14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; and we beheld his glory, a glory as of an only begotten of a father.
১৪সেই বাক্যই মাংস হ’ল; অনুগ্ৰহ আৰু সত্যতাৰে পৰিপূৰ্ণ হৈ আমাৰ মাজত বসতি কৰিলে; তাতে পিতৃৰ একমাত্ৰ পুত্ৰ হিচাপে তেওঁৰ যি মহিমা, সেই মহিমা আমি দেখিলোঁ।
15 John beareth witness of him, and crieth, saying, This was he of whom I said, He that cometh after me hath gone before me; for he was before me.
১৫যোহনে তেওঁৰ বিষয়ে সাক্ষ্য দি চিঞৰি ক’লে, “যি জনৰ বিষয়ে মই কৈছিলোঁ, এৱেঁই সেই জন। যি জন মোৰ পাছত আহিছে, তেওঁ মোতকৈ আগ হ’ল, কাৰণ তেওঁ মোৰ পূৰ্বেও আছিল।”
16 For out of his fullness have we all received, and grace upon grace.
১৬আমি সকলোৱে তেওঁৰ সেই পূৰ্ণতাৰ পৰা অনুগ্রহৰ ওপৰিও বিনামূলীয়া অনুগ্রহ পালোঁ।
17 For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
১৭কাৰণ মোচিৰ দ্বাৰা বিধান দিয়া হৈছিল; কিন্তু অনুগ্ৰহ আৰু সত্যতা যীচু খ্ৰীষ্টৰ দ্বাৰাহে আহিল।
18 No one hath ever seen God; the only begotten God, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath made him known.
১৮ঈশ্বৰক কোনেও কেতিয়াও দেখা নাই; পিতৃৰ কোলাত থকা একমাত্ৰ পুত্ৰই তেওঁক প্ৰকাশ কৰিলে।
19 And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem, to ask him, Who art thou?
১৯যোহনে এই সাক্ষ্য দিলে: ইহুদী সকলে যিৰূচালেমৰ পৰা কেইজনমান পুৰোহিত আৰু লেবীক যোহনৰ ওচৰলৈ পঠালে। তেওঁলোকে আহি যোহনক সুধিলে, “আপুনি কোন?”
20 And he declared, and did not deny; and he declared, I am not the Christ.
২০যোহনে অস্বীকাৰ নকৰি মুকলিকৈ উত্তৰ দিলে, “মই খ্ৰীষ্ট নহয়।”
21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elijah? And he said, I am not. Art thou the prophet? And he answered, No.
২১তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে তেওঁক সুধিলে, “তেনেহলে কোন? আপুনি এলিয়া নেকি?” তেওঁ ক’লে, “নহয়, মই নহওঁ;” তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, “তেনেহলে আপুনি সেই ভাৱবাদী নেকি?” তেওঁ উত্তৰ দিলে, “নহওঁ।”
22 They said therefore to him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to those who sent us; what sayest thou of thyself?
২২তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে তেওঁক ক’লে, “তেনেহলে আপুনি কোন হয়? আমাক কওক যাতে যি সকলে আমাক পঠাইছে, তেওঁলোকক আমি উত্তৰ দিব পাৰোঁ। আপোনাৰ নিজৰ বিষয়ে আপুনি কি কয়?”
23 He said, I am “a voice of one crying aloud in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord,” as said Isaiah the prophet.
২৩তেওঁ ক’লে, “যিচয়া ভাববাদীয়ে যি দৰে কৈছিল, ‘ময়েই সেই মাত, যি জনে মৰুপ্রান্তত ৰিঙিয়াই কয়, প্ৰভুৰ পথ পোন কৰা’।”
24 And they were sent from the Pharisees;
২৪যোহনৰ ওচৰলৈ যি সকলক পঠোৱা হৈছিল, তেওঁলোক ফৰীচী সম্প্রদায়ৰ আছিল। তেওঁলোকে যোহনক সুধিলে,
25 and they asked him and said to him, Why then dost thou baptize, if thou art not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the prophet?
২৫“আপুনি যদি খ্ৰীষ্টও নহয়, এলিয়াও নহয় বা ভাৱবাদীও নহয়, তেনেহলে কিয় বাপ্তিস্ম দিছে?”
26 John answered them, saying, I baptize in water. There standeth one among you whom ye know not,
২৬যোহনে তেওঁলোকক উত্তৰ দি ক’লে, “মই হ’লে পানীতহে বাপ্তিস্ম দিছোঁ, কিন্তু আপোনালোকৰ মাজত এনে এজন থিয় হৈ আছে, যি জনক আপোনালোকে চিনি নাপায়।
27 he who cometh after me, the latchet of whose sandal I am not worthy to loose.
২৭তেৱেঁই সেই লোক যি জন মোৰ পাছত আহিছে। মই তেওঁৰ ভৰিৰ পাদুকাৰ ফিটাৰ বান্ধ খুলিবৰো যোগ্য নহওঁ।”
28 These things took place in Bethany beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
২৮যৰ্দ্দন নদীৰ সিপাৰে বৈৎথনিয়া গাৱঁত, য’ত যোহনে বাপ্তিস্ম দি আছিল, তাতে এই সকলো ঘটিল।
29 The next day he seeth Jesus coming to him, and saith, Behold, the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sin of the world!
২৯পাছদিনা যোহনে যীচুক তেওঁৰ ওচৰলৈ অহা দেখি ক’লে, “সৌৱা চোৱা, ঈশ্বৰৰ মেৰ-পোৱালি, জগতৰ পাপ বহন কৰি নিওঁতা জন!
30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man, who hath gone before me; for he was before me.
৩০এৱেঁই সেই লোক যি জনৰ বিষয়ে মই কৈছিলোঁ যে, ‘যি জন মোৰ পাছত আহিছে, তেওঁ মোতকৈ আগ হ’ল, কাৰণ তেওঁ মোৰ বহু আগেয়ে আছিল’।
31 And I knew him not; but that he might be made manifest to Israel, therefore I came baptizing in water.
৩১মই তেওঁক চিনি পোৱা নাছিলো; কিন্তু তেওঁ যেন ইস্ৰায়েলবাসীৰ আগত প্রকাশিত হব পাৰে, সেই বাবে মই আহি পানীত বাপ্তিস্ম দিছোঁ।”
32 And John bore witness, saying, I have seen the Spirit descending as a dove from heaven, and it abode upon him.
৩২তাৰ পাছত যোহনে সাক্ষ্য দি ক’লে, “মই স্বৰ্গৰ পৰা আত্মাক কপৌৰ নিচিনাকৈ নামি অহা, আৰু তেওঁৰ ওপৰত থকা দেখিলোঁ।
33 And I knew him not; but he who sent me to baptize in water, the same said to me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending and abiding on him, he it is that baptizeth in the Holy Spirit.
৩৩মই তেওঁক চিনি নাপালোঁ। কিন্তু যি জনে পানীত বাপ্তিস্ম দিবলৈ মোক পঠালে, তেৱেঁ মোক কৈছিল, ‘তুমি যি জনৰ ওপৰত আত্মাক নামি অহা দেখিবা, তেৱেঁ সেই জন, সেই জনে পবিত্ৰ আত্মাত বাপ্তিস্ম দিব।’
34 And I have seen and have borne witness, that this is the Son of God.
৩৪মই সেয়া দেখিলোঁ আৰু সাক্ষ্যও দিওঁ যে, এওঁ ঈশ্বৰৰ পুত্র।”
35 On the morrow John was again standing, and two of his disciples;
৩৫পাছদিনা যোহন, তেওঁৰ দুজন শিষ্যৰে সৈতে থিয় হৈ আছিল।
36 and looking upon Jesus as he was walking, he saith, Behold, the Lamb of God!
৩৬সেই সময়তে তেওঁলোকে যীচুক খোজকাঢ়ি যোৱা দেখি যোহনে ক’লে, “সৌৱা, ঈশ্বৰৰ মেৰ-পোৱালিক চোৱা!”
37 The two disciples heard him speaking, and they followed Jesus.
৩৭সেই দুজন শিষ্যই যোহনৰ কথা শুনি যীচুক অনুসৰণ কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
38 Jesus turning and seeing them following, saith to them, What seek ye? And they said to him, Rabbi, (that is to say, when interpreted, Teacher, ) where dost thou dwell?
৩৮যীচুৱে মুখ ঘূৰাই তেওঁলোকক পাছে পাছে অহা দেখি ক’লে, “তোমালোকক কি লাগে?” তেওঁলোকে যীচুক ক’লে, “ৰব্বি, অৰ্থাৎ গুৰু, আপুনি ক’ত থাকে?”
39 He saith to them, Come, and ye shall see. They came therefore and saw where he dwelt; and they abode with him that day. It was about the tenth hour.
৩৯যীচুৱে তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “আহা, চোৱাহি।” তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে গৈ তেওঁৰ থকা ঠাই চালে আৰু সেইদিনা তেওঁৰ লগতে থাকিল, কাৰণ তেতিয়া প্ৰায় সন্ধিয়া হবলৈ হৈছিল।
40 One of the two who heard what John said, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.
৪০যি দুজনে যোহনৰ কথা শুনি, তেওঁৰ পাছে পাছে গৈছিল তেওঁলোকৰ মাজৰ এজন হৈছে চিমোন পিতৰৰ ভায়েক আন্দ্ৰিয়।
41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith to him, We have found the Messiah; (which is, when interpreted, the Christ.)
৪১তেওঁ প্ৰথমতে তেওঁৰ ককায়েক চিমোনক লগ পাই ক’লে, “আমি মচীহক অৰ্থাৎ খ্ৰীষ্টক দেখা পালোঁ।”
42 He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looking upon him said, Thou art Simon, the son of John; thou shalt be called Cephas; (which signifieth Peter, that is, Rock.)
৪২আন্দ্রিয়ই চিমোনক যীচুৰ ওচৰলৈ লৈ আহিল। যীচুৱে তেওঁলৈ চাই ক’লে, “তুমি যোহনৰ পুতেক চিমোন, তোমাক কৈফা বুলি মতা হব।” “কৈফা” নামৰ অৰ্থ ‘পিতৰ’ অৰ্থাৎ শিল।
43 On the morrow he determined to go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip. And Jesus saith to him, Follow me.
৪৩পাছদিনা যীচুৱে যেতিয়া গালীল প্ৰদেশলৈ যাবৰ বাবে ইচ্ছা কৰিলে, তেতিয়া যীচুৱে ফিলিপক দেখা পাই ক’লে, “মোৰ পাছে পাছে আহা।”
44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
৪৪ফিলিপ বৈৎ-চৈদা গাৱঁৰ লোক আছিল। আন্দ্রিয় আৰু পিতৰো সেই একে গাৱঁৰে লোক আছিল।
45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith to him, We have found him of whom Moses in the Law, and the Prophets wrote, Jesus, the son of Joseph, who is of Nazareth.
৪৫ফিলিপে পাছত নথনেলক দেখা পাই ক’লে, “মোচিয়ে বিধান-শাস্ত্রত যি জনৰ বিষয়ে লিখিছিল আৰু ভাৱবাদী সকলেও যি জনৰ বিষয়ে লিখিছে, আমি তেওঁক দেখা পালোঁ; তেওঁ নাচৰত নিবাসী যোচেফৰ পুতেক যীচু।”
46 And Nathanael said to him, Can any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith to him, Come and see.
৪৬নথনেলে ফিলিপক ক’লে, “নাচৰতৰ পৰা কোনো উত্তম বস্তু জানো ওলাব পাৰে?” ফিলিপে তেওঁক ক’লে, “আহি চোৱাহি।”
47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile.
৪৭যীচুৱে নথনেলক নিজৰ ফালে আহি থকা দেখি, তেওঁৰ বিষয়ে ক’লে, “এওঁক চোৱা, এজন প্রকৃত ইস্ৰায়েলী লোক। তেওঁৰ ভিতৰত একো ছলনা নাই!”
48 Nathanael saith to him, Whence dost thou know me? Jesus answered and said to him, Before Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig-tree, I saw thee.
৪৮নথনেলে যীচুক সুধিলে, “আপুনি মোক কেনেকৈ চিনি পালে?” যীচুৱে উত্তৰ দি তেওঁক ক’লে, “ফিলিপে তোমাক মতাৰ আগেয়ে যেতিয়া তুমি ডিমৰু গছৰ তলত আছিলা, মই তেতিয়াই তোমাক দেখিছিলোঁ।”
49 Nathanael answered him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God, thou art the king of Israel.
৪৯নথনেলে তেওঁক উত্তৰ দিলে, “ৰব্বি, আপুনিয়েই ঈশ্বৰৰ পুত্ৰ! আপুনিয়েই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজা!”
50 Jesus answered and said to him, Because I said to thee, I saw thee under the fig-tree, dost thou believe? Thou shalt see greater things than these.
৫০যীচুৱে উত্তৰ দি তেওঁক ক’লে, “তোমাক ডিমৰু গছৰ তলত দেখিছিলোঁ, এই কথা কোৱাৰ কাৰণেই বিশ্বাস কৰিছা নেকি? ইয়াতকৈয়ো অনেক মহৎ বিষয় তুমি দেখিবলৈ পাবা।”
51 And he saith to him, Truly, truly do I say to you, Ye will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
৫১যীচুৱে ক’লে, “মই তোমালোকক সঁচাকৈয়ে কওঁ, তোমালোকে স্বৰ্গৰ দুৱাৰ মুকলি হোৱা দেখিবা আৰু ঈশ্বৰৰ দূত সকলে মানুহৰ পুত্ৰৰ ওপৰেদি উঠি যোৱা আৰু নামি অহা দেখিবা।”
