John 7
1 After these things Jesus walked in Galilee; for he would not walk in Judaea, because the Jews sought to kill him.
১তাৰ পাছত যীচুৱে গালীল প্রদেশৰ ভিন ভিন ঠাইত ঘূৰি ফুৰিলে। ইহুদী সকলে তেওঁক বধ কৰিবলৈ সুযোগ বিচাৰি থকা বাবে যীচুৱে যিহুদীয়া প্রদেশলৈ যাবলৈ ইচ্ছা নকৰিলে।
2 Now the feast of the Jews, the feast of tabernacles, was at hand.
২তেতিয়া ইহুদী সকলৰ পঁজা-পৰ্বৰ সময় প্রায় ওচৰ চাপিছিল।
3 His brothers therefore said to him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see thy works which thou art doing.
৩সেই কাৰণতে যীচুৰ ভায়েকহঁতে তেওঁক ক’লে, “তুমি যি যি কাম কৰিছা, সেইবোৰ তোমাৰ শিষ্য সকলে দেখা পাবৰ বাবে তুমিও এই ঠাই এৰি যিহুদীয়ালৈ যোৱা৷
4 For no one doeth anything in secret, and yet himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou doest these things, manifest thyself to the world.
৪যদি কোনোবাই নিজে জনাজাত হ’ব বিচাৰে, তেনেহলে তেওঁ গোপনে একো নকৰে। তুমি যেতিয়া এইবোৰ কামকে কৰা, তেনেহলে জগতৰ সন্মুখত নিজকে দেখুউৱা।”
5 For even his brothers did not believe in him.
৫কিয়নো তেওঁৰ ভায়েক সকলে তেওঁত বিশ্বাস কৰা নাছিল।
6 Jesus saith to them, My time is not yet come; but your time is always ready.
৬সেয়ে যীচুৱে তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “মোৰ নিৰূপিত সময় এতিয়াও অহা নাই, কিন্তু তোমালোকৰ সময় সদায় আছে।
7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that its works are evil.
৭জগতে তোমালোকক ঘৃণা কৰিব নোৱাৰে; মোকহে ঘৃণা কৰে; কিয়নো মই জগতৰ বিষয়ে এই সাক্ষ্য দিওঁ যে, জগতৰ সকলো কাম মন্দ।
8 Go ye up to the feast; I go not up to this feast; for my time is not yet fully come.
৮তোমালোকে পৰ্বলৈ যোৱা; মোৰ সময় এতিয়াও পূর্ণ হোৱা নাই, সেয়ে মই এতিয়া পর্বলৈ নাযাওঁ।”
9 Having said these things, he remained in Galilee.
৯তেওঁলোকক এইবোৰ কথা কোৱাৰ পাছত যীচু গালীল প্ৰদেশতে থাকি গ’ল।
10 But when his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not openly, but as it were in secret.
১০তেওঁৰ ভায়েক সকল পর্বলৈ গ’ল আৰু পাছত তেৱোঁ তালৈ গ’ল। কিন্তু তেওঁ মুকলিকৈ যোৱা নাছিল, গোপনে গ’ল।
11 The Jews therefore sought him at the feast, and said, Where is that man?
১১পৰ্বৰ সময়ত ইহুদী সকলে যীচুক বিচাৰি সোধা-সুধি কৰিলে, “সেই মানুহ জন ক’ত আছে?”
12 And there was much debating among the multitude concerning him. Some said, He is a good man; others said, Nay, but he deceiveth the multitude.
১২লোক সকলৰ মাজত যীচুৰ বিষয়ে নানা ধৰণৰ আলোচনা হবলৈ ধৰিলে। কোনো কোনোৱে ক’লে, “তেওঁ এজন ভাল মানুহ।” আন কিছুমানে আকৌ ক’লে, “নহয়, নহয়, তেওঁ লোক সকলক ভুল পথত লৈ গৈছে।”
13 No one, however, spoke openly of him, for fear of the Jews.
১৩কিন্তু ইহুদী সকলৰ ভয়ত তেওঁৰ বিষয়ে কোনেও মুকলিকৈ একো কথা নক’লে।
14 But when it was now the midst of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple and taught.
১৪যেতিয়া পৰ্বৰ আধা সময় পাৰ হ’ল, তেতিয়া যীচুৱে মন্দিৰলৈ গৈ উপদেশ দিবলৈ আৰম্ভ কৰিলে।
15 The Jews therefore marveled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?
১৫তাতে ইহুদী সকলে অতিশয় আচৰিত হৈ ক’লে, “এই লোক জনে কেতিয়াও কোনো শিক্ষা নোলোৱাকৈ ইমানবোৰ ধর্ম কথা কেনেকৈ জানিলে?”
16 Jesus therefore answered them, and said, My teaching is not mine, but his that sent me.
১৬যীচুৱে তেওঁলোকক উত্তৰ দি ক’লে, “এই উপদেশ মোৰ নিজৰ নহয়, মোক পঠোৱা জনৰহে।”
17 If any one is desirous to do his will, he will know concerning the teaching, whether it is from God, or whether I speak from myself.
১৭যদি কোনোৱে তেওঁৰ ইচ্ছা পালন কৰিবলৈ বিচাৰে, তেনেহলে তেওঁ জানিব যে এই শিক্ষা ঈশ্বৰৰ পৰা আহিছে নে মই নিজৰ পৰা কৈছোঁ।
18 He that speaketh from himself seeketh his own glory; but he that seeketh the glory of him that sent him, he is true, and in him is no unrighteousness.
১৮যি জনে নিজৰ পৰা কথা কয়, তেওঁ নিজৰ মৰ্যদা বিচাৰে; কিন্তু কোনো জনে যদি পঠোৱা জনৰ গৌৰৱ বিচাৰে, তেনেহলে তেওঁ সত্য, আৰু তেওঁৰ ভিতৰত একো অসাধুতা নাই।
19 Hath not Moses given you the Law? and none of you keepeth the Law! Why do ye seek to kill me?
১৯মোচিয়ে জানো আপোনালোকক বিধান দিয়া নাই? কিন্তু আপোনালোকৰ কোনেও যে সেই বিধান পালন নকৰে। আপোনালোকে মোক কিয় বধ কৰিবলৈ বিচাৰিছে?
20 The multitude answered, Thou hast a demon! Who seeketh to kill thee?
২০লোক সকলে উত্তৰ দিলে, “তোমাক ভূতে পাইছে; তোমাক কোনে বধ কৰিবলৈ বিচাৰিছে?”
21 Jesus answered and said to them, I have done one good work, and ye are all wondering.
২১যীচুৱে উত্তৰত তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “মই এটা কাম কৰিলোঁ, তাতে আপোনালোক সকলোৱে বিস্ময় মানিছে।
22 Moses hath given you circumcision, (not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers; ) and ye on the sabbath circumcise a man.
২২মোচিয়ে আপোনালোকক চুন্নৎ কৰাৰ ৰীতি দিলে আৰু আপোনালোকে বিশ্রামবাৰেও শিশু সকলৰ চুন্নৎ কৰে। (মূলত: এই বিধান মোচিৰ পৰা নহয়, কিন্তু পিতৃপুৰুষ সকলৰ পৰাহে আহিছে);
23 If a man receive circumcision on the sabbath, that the law of Moses may not be broken, are ye angry at me, because I have restored soundness to the whole body of a man on the sabbath?
২৩মোচিৰ বিধান যেন উলঙ্ঘন কৰা নহয়, এই যুক্তিতে যদি বিশ্ৰাম বাৰেও মানুহৰ চুন্নৎ কৰা হয়, তেনেহলে মই বিশ্ৰামবাৰে এজন মানুহক সম্পূর্ণভাৱে সুস্থ কৰিলোঁ কাৰণে আপোনালোকৰ মোৰ ওপৰত কিয় খং উঠিছে?
24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
২৪উপৰুৱাকৈ চাই বিচাৰ নকৰিব, বৰং ন্যায়-বিচাৰ কৰক।”
25 Then some of the men of Jerusalem said, Is not this he whom they seek to kill?
২৫তেতিয়া যিৰূচালেমৰ কেইজনমান লোকে ক’লে, “যি জনক তেওঁলোকে বধ কৰিবলৈ বিচাৰিছে, এৱেঁই জানো সেই জন নহয়?
26 and see! he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing to him. Have the rulers discovered certainly that this man is the Christ?
২৬কিন্তু চোৱা, এওঁতো মুকলিকৈ কথা কৈ আছে, তথাপি তেওঁলোকে এওঁক একো কোৱা নাই। তেনেহলে, এনে হব পাৰে নেকি, শাসনকর্তা সকলে সঁচাই জানিব পাৰিছে যে এই লোক জনেই খ্ৰীষ্ট?
27 Still, as to this man, we know whence he is; but when the Christ cometh, no one knoweth whence he is.
২৭এওঁ ক’ৰ পৰা আহিছে, তাক আমি জানো; কিন্তু খ্ৰীষ্ট আহিলে, কোনেও নাজানিব, তেওঁ ক’ৰ পৰা আহিছে।”
28 Jesus therefore cried aloud, teaching in the temple and saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am; and I have not come of myself, but there is in truth one who sent me, whom ye know not.
২৮তেতিয়া যীচুৱে মন্দিৰত শিক্ষা দিলে আৰু উচ্চস্বৰে ক’লে, “আপোনালোকে মোক জানে আৰু মই ক’ৰ পৰা আহিছোঁ, সেই বিষয়েও জানে৷ মই নিজ ইচ্ছাৰে অহা নাই, কিন্তু যি জনে মোক পঠালে, তেওঁ সত্য; তেওঁক আপোনালোকে নাজানে।
29 I know him, because I am from him, and he hath sent me.
২৯মই হ’লে তেওঁক জানো; কিয়নো মই তেওঁৰ পৰা আহিছোঁ আৰু তেৱেঁই মোক পঠিয়ালে।”
30 Therefore they sought to take him; but no one laid hands on him, because his hour had not yet come.
৩০তাতে সেই লোক সকলে তেওঁক ধৰিবলৈ উপায় বিচাৰিলে; তথাপি কোনেও তেওঁৰ গাত হাত নিদিলে; কিয়নো তেতিয়া তেওঁৰ সময় হোৱা নাছিল।
31 But of the multitude many believed in him, and said, When the Christ cometh, will he do more signs than these which this man doeth?
৩১কিন্তু লোক সকলৰ অনেকে তেওঁত বিশ্বাস কৰিলে। তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, “এই লোক জনে অনেক আচৰিত কাম কৰিছে। কিন্তু খ্ৰীষ্ট যেতিয়া আহিব, তেতিয়া তেওঁ এওঁতকৈ অধিক আচৰিত চিনৰ কার্য কৰিব নেকি?”
32 The Pharisees heard the multitude thus debating concerning him; and the chief priest and the Pharisees sent officers to seize him.
৩২লোক সকলে যে যীচুৰ বিষয়ে এনেবোৰ কথা কোৱা-কুই কৰি আছে, সেই বিষয়ে ফৰীচী সকলে শুনিবলৈ পালে। তেতিয়া প্ৰধান পুৰোহিত আৰু ফৰীচী সকলে তেওঁক বন্দী কৰিবলৈ বিষয়া সকলক পঠিয়াই দিলে।
33 Jesus therefore said, Yet a little while I am with you, and then I go to him that sent me.
৩৩যীচুৱে ক’লে, “মই অলপ কালহে আপোনালোকৰ লগত আছোঁ। তাৰ পাছত যি জনে মোক পঠিয়াইছে, মই তেওঁৰ ওচৰলৈ যাম।
34 Ye will seek me and not find me; and where I am, ye cannot come.
৩৪আপোনালোকে মোক বিচাৰিব, কিন্তু নাপাব; আৰু মই যি ঠাইলৈ যাম, আপোনালোক তালৈ যাব নোৱাৰিব।”
35 The Jews therefore said among themselves, Whither will this man go, that we shall not find him? Will he go to the dispersed among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?
৩৫ইহুদী সকলে তেতিয়া পৰস্পৰে কথা পাতিলে, “আমি যে তেওঁক বিচাৰি নাপাম, এনেকৈ তেওঁনো ক’লৈ যাব? গ্ৰীক সকলৰ মাজত যি সকল ইহুদী বাস কৰিছে, তালৈ গৈ তেওঁলোকক শিক্ষা দিব নেকি?
36 What meaneth this which he said, Ye will seek me, and not find me; and where I am, ye cannot come?
৩৬তেওঁ যে কৈছে, ‘মোক বিচাৰিবা, কিন্তু নাপাবা, আৰু মই যি ঠাইত থাকিম, তালৈ যাব নোৱাৰিবা’, এইটোনো কি কথা?”
37 On the last day, which is the great day, of the feast, Jesus stood and cried aloud, saying, If any one thirst, let him come to me, and drink.
৩৭পৰ্বৰ শেষৰ দিন - যি দিনটো পর্বৰ প্ৰধান দিন, সেইদিনা যীচুৱে অশ্ৰু টুকি থিয় হল, আৰু উচ্চস্বৰে ক’লে, “কোনো মানুহৰ যদি পিয়াহ লাগে, তেওঁ মোৰ ওচৰলৈ আহি পান কৰক।
38 He that believeth in me, from within him, as the Scripture hath said, will flow rivers of living water.
৩৮যি কোনোৱে মোত বিশ্বাস কৰে, ধৰ্মশাস্ত্ৰত কোৱাৰ দৰে, তেওঁৰ ভিতৰৰ পৰা জীৱনময় জলৰ নৈবোৰ ওলাই বৈ যাব।”
39 But this he said of the Spirit, which those that believed in him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
৩৯যীচুক বিশ্বাস কৰা সকলে যে আত্মা পাব, সেই বিষয়ে তেওঁ এই কথা ক’লে। কিয়নো তেতিয়ালৈকে আত্মা দিয়া হোৱা নাছিল, কাৰণ তেতিয়ালৈকে যীচু মহিমান্বিত হোৱা নাছিল।
40 Some of the multitude therefore, when they heard these words, said, This is in truth the prophet. Others said, This is the Christ.
৪০এই সকলো কথা শুনি, লোক সকলৰ কোনো কোনোৱে ক’লে, “এওঁ সঁচাই সেই ভাৱবাদী।” আন কিছুমানে ক’লে, “এওঁ খ্ৰীষ্ট।”
41 Others said, Doth the Christ then come from Galilee?
৪১কিন্তু কিছুমানে ক’লে, “কি? খ্ৰীষ্ট জানো গালীল প্ৰদেশৰ পৰা ওলাব?
42 Hath not the Scripture said, that the Christ cometh from the seed of David, and from Bethlehem, the town where David was?
৪২ধৰ্মশাস্ত্ৰত কোৱা নাই জানো, খ্ৰীষ্ট যে দায়ুদৰ বংশৰ পৰা হব আৰু দায়ুদ যি বৈৎলেহম নগৰত আছিল, তেওঁ তাৰ পৰাই আহিব?”
43 So there was a division among the multitude because of him.
৪৩এইদৰে যীচুৰ বিষয়ক লৈ লোক সকলৰ মাজত মতভেদ সৃষ্টি হ’ল।
44 And some of them wished to seize him; but no one laid hands on him.
৪৪তেওঁলোকৰ কোনো কোনোৱে তেওঁক ধৰিবলৈ বিচাৰিলে, তথাপি কোনেও তেওঁৰ গাত হাত নিদিলে।
45 The officers therefore came to the chief priests and Pharisees, who said to them, Why did ye not bring him?
৪৫তেতিয়া যি বিষয়া সকলক পঠোৱা হৈছিল, তেওঁলোক প্ৰধান পুৰোহিত আৰু ফৰীচী সকলৰ ওচৰলৈ ঘূৰি আহিল। তেওঁলোকে সিহঁতক সুধিলে, “তাক কিয় নানিলা?”
46 The officers answered, Never man spoke like this man.
৪৬তেতিয়া বিষয়া সকলে উত্তৰ দিলে, “সেই জনৰ দৰে কোনো মানুহে কেতিয়াও আগেয়ে কথা কোৱা নাই।”
47 The Pharisees answered them, Have ye also been deceived?
৪৭তেতিয়া ফৰীচী সকলে উত্তৰ দিলে, “তোমালোকো তেনেহলে ভোল গলা নেকি?
48 Hath any one of the rulers believed in him? or of the Pharisees?
৪৮শাসনকৰ্তা বা ফৰীচী সকলৰ মাজৰ কোনোবাই জানো তাক বিশ্বাস কৰিছে?
49 but this multitude that know not the Law are accursed.
৪৯কিন্তু এই লোক সকলে বিধানৰ একোকে নাজানে, তেওঁলোক অভিশপ্ত।”
50 Nicodemus saith to them, being one of them,
৫০তেওঁলোকৰ মাজৰ নীকদীম, যি জনে আগেয়ে যীচুৰ ওচৰলৈ গৈছিল, সেই জনে তেওঁলোকক ক’লে,
51 Doth our law judge a man, unless it first hear from him, and know what he doeth?
৫১“প্ৰথমে কোনো মানুহৰ কথা নুশুনিলে আৰু তেওঁৰ কৰ্ম নাজানিলে, আমাৰ বিধানে জানো তেওঁক দোষী কৰে?”
52 They answered and said to him, Art thou too from Galilee? Search and see that no prophet ariseth from Galilee.
৫২তাতে তেওঁলোকে তেওঁক উত্তৰ দিলে, “তুমিও গালীল প্ৰদেশৰ মানুহ নেকি? বিচাৰি চোৱা, দেখিবা যে গালীল প্ৰদেশৰ পৰা কোনো ভাৱবাদীৰ আবির্ভাৱ হোৱা নাই।”
