< John 6 >

1 After these things Jesus went away across the lake of Galilee, that of Tiberias.
Gakapiteje genego, a Yeshu gubhajombweshe litanda lya Galilaya eu guna lishemwa litanda lya Tibheliya.
2 And a great multitude followed him, because they saw the signs which he wrought on the diseased.
Lugwinjili lwa bhandu gulwaakagwile, pabha bhashikwiibhonanga ilangulo ibhatendaga ya kwaalamyanga bhalwelenji.
3 And Jesus went up into the mountain, and sat there with his disciples.
A Yeshu gubhakwelile pa shitumbi, gubhatemi na bhaajiganywa bhabho.
4 And the passover, the feast of the Jews, was near.
Na shikukuu sha Bhayaudi shishemwa Pashaka shashinkubhandishila.
5 Jesus then lifting up his eyes, and seeing that a great crowd was coming to him, saith to Philip, Whence are we to buy bread, that these may eat?
Bhai, a Yeshu bhakaloleje nikulubhona lugwinjili lwa bhandu lulikwajiila, gubhaalugulile a Pilipi, “Tukaume kwei mikate bhandunjibha bhalyanganje?”
6 But this he said to try him; for he himself knew what he was going to do.
Bhashinkubheleketa genego nkwaalinga a Pilipi, pabha bhayene bhashimanyi shishibhatende.
7 Philip answered him, Two hundred denaries' worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that each one may take a tittle.
A Pilipi gubhaajangwile, “Nkali mikate ja mmbiya yaigwinji, nngajenela kwa bhandunjibha nkali kila mundu apate shipande shishokope!”
8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith to him,
Jumo munkumbi gwa bhaajiganywa bhabho ashemwaga a Ndeleya, mpwabho a Shimoni guna pubhashemwaga a Petili, akwaalugulilaga,
9 There is a lad here, who hath five barley-loaves, and two small fishes; but what are they among so many?
“Apano apali mwana jumo akwete mikate nng'ano ja mbungalai na yamaki ibhili, ikabheje yenei shiipwae nndi na lugwinjili lwa bhandunjilu?”
10 Jesus said, Make the men lie down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men lay down, in number about five thousand.
A Yeshu gubhashite, “Mwaatendanje bhandunji bhatamangane pai.” Pashinkupagwa manyai gamagwinji penepo. Bhai, bhandu gubhatemingenenje. Bhanabhalume jika pubhalinginji elupu nng'ano.
11 Jesus then took the loaves, and having given thanks, distributed to those that were lying down; in like manner also of the fishes, as much as they desired.
A Yeshu gubhatolile mikate jila, gubhatendile eja kwa a Nnungu, gujigebhenywe ku bhandunji bhatemingenenje bhala, nneyo peyo gubhatendile kwa yamaki ila, kila mundu gwapatile mwapinjile.
12 And when they were filled, he saith to his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain over, that nothing may be lost.
Bhandu bhakajukutanjeje, a Yeshu gubhaalugulilenje bhaajiganywa bhabho, “Nkundikanyanje makombo galepeshe gala ganaobhe.”
13 So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley-loaves, which remained over and above to those that had eaten.
Bhai, gubhakundikenyenje ipande ya mikate ibhalepelenje bhandu bhalyangangaga bhala, gubhagumbeyenje ikapu likumi limo na ibhili.
14 The men therefore seeing the sign which he wrought, said, This is truly the prophet that was to come into the world.
Bhandu bhakashibhonanjeje shene shilangulo shibhatendile a Yeshu, gubhashitenje, “Kweli bhenebha ankulondola bha a Nnungu bhakwiya kushilambolyo.”
15 Jesus therefore, knowing that they were about to come and take him by force to make him a king, withdrew again to the mountain alone.
A Yeshu gubhamumanyi kuti bhandunji bhanapinganga kwaakamula nkupinga bhaatendanje a mpalume bhabhonji, gubhajabhwile kabhili, gubhapite jikape kushitumbi.
16 But when evening came, his disciples went down to the lake,
Likaisheje ligulo bhaajiganywa bhabho gubhaelelenje mpaka kulitanda,
17 and having gone on board a boat, were going over the lake to Capernaum. And darkness had overtaken them, and Jesus had not yet come to them.
gubhakwelilenje mmashua, nigubhatandubhenje kujomboka kwenda ku Kapalanaumu. Gene malangago kuli lubhindu, na a Yeshu bhaliji bhakanabhe ika kulitanda.
18 And as a strong wind was blowing, the waves ran high.
Kwa ligongo lya mbungo japugaga, mabhimbili gugatandwibhe nnitanda.
19 When therefore they had rowed about twenty-five or thirty furlongs, they saw Jesus walking on the lake, and drawing near the boat; and they were afraid.
Bhaajiganywa bhala bhali bhapitengenenje kwaataliya mbuti maili gatatu eu nsheshe, gubhaabhweninji a Yeshu bhali bhabhandishile mashua bhaliowa pantundu mashi, gubhajogwepenje kwa kaje.
20 But he saith to them, It is I, be not afraid.
A Yeshu gubhaalugulilenje, “Nnajogopanje, ni nne!”
21 Then they were willing to receive him into the boat; and immediately the boat was at the land whither they were going.
Bhai gubhakundilenje kwaajigala mmashua mula, kashokope gubhaikengenenje kung'ambu kubhajendanganaga kula.
22 The day following, the multitude which stood on the other side of the lake having seen that there was no other boat there but one, and that Jesus did not go with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples went away alone,
Pa lyamba lyakwe lugwinjili lwa bhandu bhalepekenje kung'ambo jina ja litanda, gubhang'amwilenje kuti gupali ntumbwi gumope pepala na a Yeshu bhangajinjila muntumbwi pamo na bhaajiganywa bhabho, ikabhe bhaajiganywa bhala pubhapitengenenje jikape.
23 (but there came other boats from Tiberias near the place where they ate the bread, when the Lord had given thanks; )
Mitumbwi jina gujiishe kukopoka ku Tibheliya kubhalilenje bhandu mikate jila, a Yeshu bhakatendeje eja kwa Bhakuungwa a Nnungu.
24 when therefore the multitude saw that Jesus was not there nor his disciples, they went on board the boats, and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus.
Bhai, bhandunji bhala bhakang'amulanjeje kuti a Yeshu na bhaajiganywa bhabho bhakwapinji pepala, gubhakwelilenje muntumbwi gubhapitengenenje ku Kapalanaumu kukwaaloleya.
25 And having found him on the other side of the lake, they said to him, Rabbi, when didst thou come hither?
Bhandunji bhala bhakaaimananjeje a Yeshu kung'ambo jabhili ja litanda gubhaabhushiyenje, “Mmaajiganya, nng'ishe shakani kwekuno?”
26 Jesus answered them and said, Truly, truly do I say to you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw signs, but because ye ate of the loaves, and were filled.
A Yeshu gubhaajangwilenje, “Kweli ngunakummalanjilanga, nnanoleyanga nngabha kwa ligongo lya kugamanya malombolelo ga ilangulo, ikabhe pabha mwashinkulyanganga mikate nijukuta.
27 Labor not for the food that perisheth, but for the food that endureth to everlasting life, which the Son of man giveth to you; for on him hath the Father set his seal, even God. (aiōnios g166)
Nnaabhushilanje shalya shiangabhanika, nng'abhushilanje shalya shikaangabhanika shilonjeya nipeleshela gumi gwa pitipiti. Nne Mwana juka Mundu jubhankong'ondele Atati, shampanganje shene shalyasho.” (aiōnios g166)
28 Then they said to him, What are we to do, that we may work the works of God?
Bhalabhonji gubhaabhushiyenje, “Tutende bhuli nkupinga tukombole kutenda maengo ga a Nnungu?”
29 Jesus answered and said to them, This is the work of God, that ye believe in him whom he sent.
A Yeshu gubhaajangwilenje, “Liengo libhaapinga a Nnungu ntendanje ni kuti, munkulupalilanje jubhantumile jula.”
30 They said therefore to him, What sign doest thou, that we may see, and believe thee? What dost thou work?
Penepo gubhabhaalanjilenje, “Shintende shilangulo shashi tushibhone nkupinga tunkulupalile? Shintende shindu shashi?
31 Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, as it is written, “He gave them bread from heaven to eat.”
Bhanangulungwa bhetu bhalilenje mana nng'anga mula, malinga shigaalugula Majandiko ga Ukonjelo, ‘Bhashinkwaaliyanga shalya sha kopoka kunnungu.’”
32 Jesus therefore said to them, Truly, truly do I say to you, Moses hath not given you the bread from heaven; but my Father is giving you the true bread from heaven.
A Yeshu gubhaalugulilenje, “Kweli ngunakunnugulilanga, a Musha bhangampanganga shalya kopoka kunnungu, ikabheje Atati nibhakumpanganga shalya sha kweli kopoka kunnungu.
33 For the bread of God is that which is coming down from heaven, and giving life to the world.
Pabha shalya sha a Nnungu ni jwene atuluka kopoka kwa a Nnungu nikwapanganga gumi bhandu pashilambolyo.”
34 They said therefore to him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
Bhai, gubhaalugulilenje, “Mmakulungwa, ntupe uwe shene shalyasho mobha gowe.”
35 Jesus therefore said to them, I am the bread of life; he that cometh to me will not hunger; and he that believeth in me will never thirst.
A Yeshu gubhaalugulilenje, “Nne ni shalya shipeleshela gumi. Anyiila nne wala akakola shibhanga, na angulupalila nne, wala akakola njota.
36 But I said to you, that ye have even seen, and do not believe.
Ikabheje malinga shinammalanjilenje kuti mmweninjii ikabhe mwangangulupalilanga.
37 All that the Father giveth me will come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out;
Bhowe bhungupegwa na Atati shibhang'ishilanje, jojowe shanyiile nne, wala ngamminjila palanga.
38 for I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him that sent me.
Pabha njituluka kopoka kunnungu, nngabha kuutenda ingupinga nne, ikabhe kuutenda ibhapinga bhandumile bhala.
39 And this is the will of him that sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up in the last day.
Na bhandumile bhala shibhapinga ni kuti, ngunanng'obhiye nkali jumo jwabhonji bhubhambele bhala, ikabhe naayuyanje bhowe lyubha lya mpelo.
40 For this is the will of my Father, that every one who looketh on the Son and believeth in him, shall have everlasting life; and I will raise him up in the last day. (aiōnios g166)
Pabha shibhapinga Atati ni kuti, mundu jojowe akunnola Mwana nikunkulupalila, akole gumi gwa pitipiti, numbe nne shininnyuye lyubha lya mpelo.” (aiōnios g166)
41 The Jews therefore murmured about him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven;
Bhai, Bhayaudi gubhatandwibhenje kwainginishila, pabha bhashinkubheleketa kuti, “Nne shalya shitulwishe kopoka kunnungu.”
42 and they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, one whose father and mother we know? How is it then that this man saith, I have come down from heaven?
Gubhashitenje, “Bhuli, aju nngabha Yeshu mwana gwabho a Yoshepu? Twaamanyi ainagwe na akwabhe! Bhai abheleketa bhuli kuti ashituluka kopoka kunnungu?”
43 Jesus therefore answered and said to them, Murmur not among yourselves.
A Yeshu gubhaalugulilenje, “Nnekanje kutaukangana mwaashayenenji.
44 No one can come to me, unless the Father, who sent me, draw him: and I will raise him up in the last day.
Jwakwa mundu shang'ishile nne, akashemwe na Atati bhandumile, nne shininyuye jwene mundujo lyubha lya mpelo.
45 It is written in the prophets, “And they shall all be taught of God.” Every one that hath heard the Father, and hath learnt from him, cometh to me.
Ashinkulondola bha a Nnungu bhajandikenje Mmajandiko ga Ukonjelo kuti, ‘Bhandu bhowe shibhajiganywanje na a Nnungu.’ Mundu jojowe akwaapilikana Atati nikwiijiganya ga bhenebho, ananyiila nne.
46 Not that any one hath seen the Father, but he who is from God; he hath seen the Father.
Penepo nngabha kuti apali mundu abhabhweni Atati, ikabhe jwene akoposhele kwa a Nnungu, jwenejo ni abhabhweni Atati.
47 Truly, truly do I say to you, He that believeth hath everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
Kweli, ngunakunnugulilanga, akulupalila anapata gumi gwa pitipiti. (aiōnios g166)
48 I am the bread of life.
Nne ni shalya shipeleshela gumi.
49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and died.
Bhanangulungwa bhenunji bhalilenje mana nng'anga, ikabheje bhawilenje.
50 This is the bread which is coming down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die.
Ikabheje sheshino ni shalya shituluka kopoka kunnungu, nkupinga jojowe shaalye anawe.”
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any one eat of my bread, he will live for ever. Yea, and the bread which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh. (aiōn g165)
“Nne ni shalya sha gumi shitulwishe kopoka kunnungu. Mundu jojowe alyaga shene shalyashi shalame pitipiti. Na shalya shishinimpanganje ni shiilu shangu shingushishoya ligongo lya gumi gwa bhandu pashilambolyo.” (aiōn g165)
52 The Jews therefore contended with one another, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
Penepo Bhayaudi gubhatandwibhenje kupwatanga ashaayenenji bhalinkutinji, “Bhaakombola bhuli bhenebha kutupa shiilu shabho tulye?”
53 Jesus therefore said to them, Truly, truly do I say to you, Unless ye eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
A Yeshu gubhaalugulilenje, “Kweli ngunakummalanjilanga, nkalyanganje shiilu shangu nne Mwana juka Mundu, na papila minyai jangu, nkakolanga gumi nkati jenunji.
54 He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood hath everlasting life; and I will raise him up in the last day. (aiōnios g166)
Alya shiilu shangu na papila minyai jangu, akwete gumi gwa pitipiti, na nne shininnyuye lyubha lya mpelo. (aiōnios g166)
55 For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.
Pabha shiilu shangu ni shalya sha kweli, na minyai jangu, ni sha papila sha kweli.
56 He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood dwelleth in me, and I in him.
Alya shiilu shangu na papila minyai jangu, analundana na nne, numbe nne ngunalundana naka jwenejo.
57 As the living Father sent me, and I live by reason of the Father; so he that eateth me, he also shall live by reason of me.
Atati bhakwete gumi bhashinkunduma, numbe nne ngunalama kwa ligongo lyabho, nneyo peyo apingalya shiilu shangu, shalame kwa ligongo lyangu.
58 This is the bread which came down from heaven; not as the fathers ate, and died; he that eateth this bread will live for ever. (aiōn g165)
Bhai, ashino ni shalya shitulwishe kopoka kunnungu, nngabha malinga mana jibhalilenje bhanangulungwa bhenunji nng'anga, ikabheje nkali nneyo bhawilenje. Ikabhe shaalye shene shalya shino, shakole gumi gwa pitipiti.” (aiōn g165)
59 These things he said in a synagogue, while teaching in Capernaum.
A Yeshu pubhabhelekete genego bhalijiganya nshinagogi, ku Kapalanaumu.
60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they heard this, said, This teaching is hard; who can listen to it?
Bhai, bhabhagwinji bha bhaajiganywa bhabho bhakapilikananjeje genego gubhashitenje, “Aga malobhe ga ukomu, gani shakombole kugapilikanishiya?”
61 Jesus therefore knew within himself that his disciples were murmuring about this, and said to them, Doth this offend you?
A Yeshu gubhamumanyi gwangali kubhalanjilwa naka mundu kuti bhaajiganywa bhabho bhanainginikanga ligongo lya gene malobhego, gubhaabhushiyenje, “Bhuli lyeneli linakumpanganga lipamba?
62 What then if ye behold the Son of man ascending where he was before?
Bhai shiibhe bhuli, pushimummonanje Mwana juka Mundu aliikwela kubhuja kwakoposhele?
63 It is the spirit which maketh alive; the flesh profiteth nothing. The words which I have spoken to you are spirit, and are life.
Mbumu jwa a Nnungu ni apeleshela gumi, shiilu jikape nngakombola shindu. Malobhe gunimmalanjilenje ni Mbumu na gumi.
64 But there are some of you who do not believe. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that did not believe, and who it was that would betray him.
Nkali nneyo, bhapalinji bhananji bhakaakulupalilanga.” A Yeshu bhashinkubheleketa nneyo pabha bhamumanyi kuumila bhukala ashigani bhakaakulupalilanga na jwene apinga kwaatendebhuka.
65 And he said, For this cause I have told you, that no one can come to me, unless it hath been given him from the Father.
Kungai gubhashite, “Kwa lyene ligongoli, nammalanjilenje kuti, jwakwapi akombola kung'ishila akajaliwe na Atati.”
66 From this time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
Ligongo lya genego, bhaakulupalila bhabho bhabhagwinji gubhaaleshilenje, ninngaakagulanga kabhili.
67 Jesus therefore said to the twelve, Do ye also wish to go away?
Bhai, a Yeshu gubhaabhushiyenje likumi limo na bhabhili bhala, “Bhuli, na mmanganyanji nkupinga jabhulangana?”
68 Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast words of everlasting life; (aiōnios g166)
A Shimoni Petili gubhaajangwile, “Mmakulungwa, tujende kukeni? Mmwe ni nkwete malobhe ga gumi gwa pitipiti. (aiōnios g166)
69 and we have believed and known, that thou art the Holy One of God.
Uwe tukulupalile na tumumanyi kuti mmwe ni Mundu jwa ukonjelo jwa a Nnungu.”
70 Jesus answered them, Did not I choose you twelve? and one of you is a devil!
A Yeshu gubhaalugulilenje, “Bhuli, nanganng'agulanga mmanganya likumi limo na bhabhili? Nkali nneyo, jumo munkumbi gwenunji ni Lishetani!”
71 He spoke of Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot; for it was he that was about to betray him, being one of the twelve.
A Yeshu bhashinkubheleketa genego kwa ligongo lya a Yuda, bhana bhabho a Shimoni Ishikaliote, pabha bhenebho bhapinga kwaatendebhuka, nkali na bhalabho bhaliji munkumbi gwa likumi limo na bhabhili bhala.
