< John 5 >

1 After these things there was the feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
Gakapiteje genego shashinkupagwa shikukuu sha Bhayaudi, na bhalabho a Yeshu gubhapite ku Yelushalemu.
2 Now there is at Jerusalem, by the sheep-gate, a pool, which is called in Hebrew Bethzatha, having five porches.
Kwene ku Yelushalemu, tome na nnango gushemwa, Nnango gwa Ngondolo, lyashinkupagwa litanda lya mashi liishemwa Bhetishata kwa Shiebhulania, na lyashinkukola mmbuto nng'ano.
3 In these were lying a multitude of diseased persons, blind, lame, withered.
Nnyenje mmatimbwimo bhashinkupagwanga bhalwelenji bhabhagwinji bhatemingenenje, ashinangalole na ashinangwabha na bhapolokanga ibhalo, bhalinginji nkulindilila mashi gakologanywe.
4
Pabha malaika jwa kunnungu atendaga tuluka nitimbulikanya mashi. Nnwele jojowe shalongolele tumbushila mmashi mula, shalame shilwele shoshowe shakwete.
5 And a certain man was there, who had had his infirmity thirty-eight years.
Bhai, penepo ashinkupagwa nnwele jumo alwalile yaka makumi gatatu na yaka nane.
6 Jesus saw this man lying there, and knowing that he had been for a long time diseased, saith to him, Dost thou wish to be made well?
Numbe a Yeshu bhakammoneje jwenejo ali agonile penepo, gubhang'amwile kuti jwenejo patemi penepo mobha gamagwinji, gubhammushiye, “Bhuli ulipinga kulama?”
7 The diseased man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool; but while I am coming, another goeth down before me.
Na jwalakwe gwajangwile, “Mmakulungwa, nne nangali mundu jwandumbushiya mmashimu pugatimbulikanywa. Kila pungulinga tumbushila, mundu juna anakoposhela nimbitila.”
8 Jesus saith to him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
A Yeshu gubhammalanjile, “Jinuka utole likai lyako ujende.”
9 And immediately the man was made well, and took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the sabbath.
Shangupe mundu jula gwalamile, gwatolile likai lyakwe, gwajabhwile. Lyeneli pulyatendeshe Lyubha lya Pumulila.
10 The Jews therefore said to him that was cured, It is the sabbath; and it is not lawful for thee to take up the bed.
Kwa nneyo Bhayaudi bhananji gubhannugulilenje mundu alamiywe jula, “Lelo Lyubha lya Pumulila, ikaapinjikwa kujigala likai.”
11 He answered them, He that made me well, the same said to me, Take up thy bed, and walk. T
Ikabheje jwenejo gwabhabhalanjilenje, “Bhene bhandu bhanamiyebho nibhanugulile, ‘Jigala likai lyako, ujende.’”
12 hey asked him, Who is the man that said to thee, Take up, and walk?
Bhalabhonji gubhaammushiyenje, “Jwene mundu akulugulile, ‘Jigala likai lyako, ujendejo,’ gani?”
13 But the diseased man knew not who it was; for Jesus had withdrawn himself, there being a crowd in the place.
Ikabheje jwenejo jwangammanya annamiye, pabha a Yeshu bhajabhwile penepo, numbe pashinkugumbala lugwinjili lwa bhandu.
14 Afterwards Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, Behold, thou art made well; sin no more, lest something worse befall thee.
Bhai kungai a Yeshu gubhaimene naka mundu jubhannamiye jula ku Likanisha, gubhannugulile, “Nnaino ulamile, unatende yambi kabhili, linakuukoposhela lya punda jogoya.”
15 The man went away, and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.
Bhene bhandubho gubhapite gubhaalugulilenje bhakulungwa bha Bhayaudi kuti, bhanamiye bhala a Yeshu.
16 And on this account the Jews persecuted Jesus, because he did these things on the sabbath.
Pabha a Yeshu bhashinkutenda genego Lyubha lya Pumulila, Bhayaudi gubhatandwibhenje kwaashima.
17 But he answered them, My Father is working up to this time, and I work.
Bhai a Yeshu gubhaalugulilenje, “Atati bhanakamula maengo mobha gowe, nkali nne ngunakamula maengo nneyo peyo.”
18 On this account the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only broke the sabbath, but also said that God was his own Father, making himself equal with God.
Kwa gene malobhego, bhakulungwanji bha Bhayaudi gubhapundilenje kuloleya shanabhuli shibhaabhulaganje a Yeshu, nngabha ga nngakunda shalia ja Lyubha lya Pumulilape, ikabhe ga bheleketa kuti a Nnungu Ainabhabho, kwa nneyo bhanakwiilinganya na a Nnungu.
19 Then answered Jesus and said to them, Truly, truly do I say to you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father doing; for whatever He doeth, these things the Son also doeth in like manner;
A Yeshu gubhaalugulilenje, “Kweli kweli ngunakunnugulilanga, Nne namwana gwabho ngakombola tenda shindu sha jikape, ngunatenda shingushibhona Atati bhalitenda. Pabha shibhaatenda Atati, Nne shindende shosho pesho
20 for the Father loveth the Son, and showeth him all things which he himself doeth; and greater works than these will he show him, so that ye will wonder.
Pabha Atati bhanakumpinga mwana gwabho na bhanakunnanguya kila shindu shibhatenda bhayene na kabhili shibhannanguye indu yaikulungwa kupunda yenei na mmanganya shinkanganigwanje.
21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and giveth them life, so the Son also giveth life to whom he will.
Malinga Atati shibhakwayuyanga bhawilenje nikwapanganga gumi, nneyo peyo na Nne Mwana gwabho ngunakwapanganga gumi bhungupinga kwaapanganga.
22 For neither doth the Father judge any one, but hath committed all judgment to the Son;
Atati bhakakunng'ukumula mundu jojowe, liengo lyowe lya ukumula bhambele Nne namwanagwabho,
23 that all may honor the Son, as they honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son, honoreth not the Father, who sent him.
nkupinga bhandu bhowe bhang'isimiyanje malinga shibhakwaisimiyanga Atati. Bhakang'ishimyanga Nne bhakakwaishimiyanga Atati bhandumile.
24 Truly, truly do I say to you, He that heareth my word, and believeth him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and cometh not into condemnation, but hath passed out of death into life. (aiōnios g166)
“Kweli ngunakummalanjilanga, apilikana lilobhe lyangu na kwakulupalila bhandumile bhala, akwete gumi gwa pitipiti. Ngu akaukumulwa, ikabhe atapwilwe kushiwo na apegwilwe gumi. (aiōnios g166)
25 Truly, truly do I say to you, The hour is coming and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and they that hear will live.
Kweli ngunakunnugulilanga, mobha ganakwiya, numbe gaishe, bhawilenje shibhapilikananje lilobhe lyangu, na shibhapilikananjebho, shibhalamanje.
26 For as the Father hath life in himself, so did he give to the Son also to have life in himself.
Malinga Atati shibhali shiumilo sha gumi, nneyo peyo bhandendile nne Namwana gwabho kubha shiumilo sha gumi.
27 And he gave him authority to execute judgment, because he is a son of man.
Kabhili bhashimba mashili ga ukumula pabha nne Mwana juka Mundu.
28 Marvel not at this; for the hour is coming, in which all that are in the tombs will hear his voice,
Nnakanganigwanje kwa lyeneli, pabha mobha ganakwiya bhowe bhalinginji mmakabhuli shibhapilikananje lilobhe lyangu.
29 and will come forth, they that have done good, to a resurrection of life; they that have done evil, to a resurrection of condemnation.
Na bhalabhonji shibhayukanje, bhatendilenje ya uguja shibhayukanje na lama na bhatendilenje yangali ya mmbone shibhayukanje na ukumulwa.”
30 I can of myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will, but the will of him that sent me.
“Nne ngaatenda shindu kwa mashili gangu namwene. Nne ngunaukumula malinga shingupilikana kopoka kwa Atati, nne ukumu jangu ja aki. Nne ngaapinga tenda shingupinga namwene, ikabhe shibhaapinga bhandumile bhala.
31 If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.
“Niikong'ondelaga namwene, ukong'ondelogo jwakwa shakunde kuti gwa kweli.
32 There is another who beareth witness of me; and ye know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.
Ikabheje bhapalinji bhananji bhaakong'ondelanga gangu nne, munkumbi gwabhonjimo bhapali a Yowana. Na nne nimumanyi kuti yowe ibhakong'ondele gangu nne, ni ya kweli.
33 Ye have sent to John, and he hath borne witness to the truth.
Mmanganyanji nshikwaatumanga bhantenga kwa a Yowana, na bhalabho gubhakong'ondele ga kweli.
34 But the testimony which I receive is not from man; but these things I say, that ye may be saved.
Nne ngalolela kukong'ondelwa na bhandunji, ikabheje ngunabheleketa genega nkupinga ntapulwanje.
35 He was the burning and shining lamp: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.
A Yowana pubhaliji malinga shenje shikolela nilangaya, na mmanganya mwainonyelenje shilangayasho kwa mobha gashoko.”
36 But the testimony which I have, is greater than that of John; for the works which the Father hath given me to perform, the works themselves which I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.
“Ikabheje nne ngwete ukong'ondelo gwangu namwene numbe gwankulungwa kupunda gwa a Yowana. Pabha maengo gungutenda, ni gubhambele Atati nigatende. Numbe genego ganangong'ondela kuti njitumwa na Atati.
37 And the Father who sent me, he hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his form.
Nabhalabho Atati bhandumile bhanangong'ondela. Mmanganya nkanabhe pilikananga lilobhe lyabho, wala kwaabhona kumeyo,
38 And ye have not his word abiding in you; for whom he sent, him ye believe not.
na ntenga gwabho gukatama mmitima jenunji, pabha mwangankulupalilanga jubhantumile jula.
39 Ye search the Scriptures, because ye yourselves think that in them ye have everlasting life; and it is they which testify of me; (aiōnios g166)
Mmanganya nnaatonelanga Majandiko ga Ukonjelo nniganishiyanga kuti mwenemo, shimpatanje gumi gwa pitipiti, mbena Majandiko gogo ganangong'ondela nne! (aiōnios g166)
40 and ye are not willing to come to me, that ye may have life.
Nkali nneyo, mmanganya nkapinganga kunyiila nne nkupinga mpatanje gumi.
41 I receive not honor from men;
“Nne ngaloleya kuiniywa na bhandunji.
42 but I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.
Ikabheje nimumanyi kuti mmanganyanji, kwaapinga a Nnungu kwakwa mmitima jenunji.
43 I have come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not; if another come in his own name, him ye will receive.
Nne pung'ishe kwa mashili ga Atati, ikabheje nkamboshelanga. Ikabhe mundu juna aikaga kwa mashili gakwe nyene, shimumposhelanje.
44 How can ye believe while ye receive honor from one another, and seek not the honor that is from him who alone is God?
Mmanganyanji nnapinganga kulumbililwa na bhandu ajenunji, na nkaapinganga kulumbililwa na Bhenebho bhali jikape a Nnungu, igala shinkulupalilanje bhuli?
45 Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye have placed your hope.
Nnaganishiyanje kuti nne shininnugulanje kwa Atati. A Musha bhunkwaakulupalilangabho shibhannugulanje.
46 For if ye believed Moses, ye would believe me; for he wrote of me.
Monaga kweli mwaakulupalilenje a Musha, nkangulupalilenje na nne. Pabha a Musha bhashinkujandika gangu nne.
47 But if ye do not believe his writings, how will ye believe my words?
Ikabheje nkakulupalilanje gubhajandishe gala, shinkulupalilanje bhuli, malobhe gungubheleketa nne?”
