< John 4 >

1 When therefore Jesus knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,
O Yesu na wamanya aje aMafalisayo bhomwezye aje amemile na bhozye ashile oYohana,
2 (though Jesus himself did not baptize, but his disciples, )
(japokuwa oYesu yoyo ali sahwonzya ila awanafunzi bhakwe),
3 he left Judaea, and went again to Galilee.
afumile hu Yudea na bhale hu Galilaya.
4 And he must necessarily pass through Samaria.
Esho hwali muhimu ashilile hu Samaria.
5 He cometh therefore to a city of Samaria, called Sychar, near the piece of land which Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
Na afishile hunsi ye Samalia, yehwetwagasi Sikari, karibu no sehemu ela o Yakobo yapiye mwanawakwe oYusufu.
6 And Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with the journey, was sitting thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.
Eshi sima sha Yakobo shali epo. O Yesu ali alitile alengane ne safari na akhala karibu ne shi sima. Gwali muda wa gwa pasanya.
7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water. Jesus saith to her, Give me to drink.
Oshe oSamalia ahenzele atape menze, no Yesu abhozye, “Mpele amenze emwele.”
8 For his disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.
Afuatanaje abhanafunzi bhakwe abhafunzi bhali bhabhalile hujini akale esholye.
9 The Samaritan woman saith to him, How is it that thou, who art a Jew, askest drink of me, who am a Samaritan woman? For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.
Ola oshe abhozya, “Shibha bhole awe wo Myahudi, kuniomba mimi mwanamke Msamaria, andabhe amenze ga mwele?” Afuatanaje Ayahudi sebhasangana na Samaria.
10 Jesus answered and said to her, If thou hadst known the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink, thou wouldst have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
O Yesu wayanga, “Ogamenye ashipawa sha Ngolobhe, nola wahubhozya aje, 'Mpele menze, 'handawalabhile, handapiye amenze ge womi.”
11 The woman saith to him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Whence hast thou the living water?
Oshe ayanga, “'Gosi sagoli nidebe lya tapile, na eshisima shitali. Obhawapate hwi Amenze ge womi?
12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his sons, and his cattle?
Aje awe oli gosi, ashile odaada wetu oYakobo, ola watipiye eshi sima eshi, na yeye mwenyewe na watoto wake pamoja na mifugo yake wakanywa maji ya kisima hiki?”
13 Jesus answered and said to her, Every one that drinketh of this water, will thirst again;
O Yesu wayanga, “Wawonti amwelile amenze obhapate eshomelwa nantele,
14 but whoever drinketh of the water that I will give him, will never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become within him a well of water springing up to everlasting life. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
ila omwene wenzahupele amenze ega sagaibha neshomelwa nantele. Baadaye menze gembahupele ganzabhe chemichemi yebubujiha wila wila.” (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
15 The woman saith to him, Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come hither to draw.
Ola oshe wabhozya, “Ogosi, engalabha amenze ego nkengaje olole eshomelwa, na enganje alabhe ahenze epa atape menze.”
16 He saith to her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.
O Yesu wabhozya, “bhala kwizye olume waho, nantele uyenzaje.”
17 The woman answered, I have no husband. Jesus saith to her, Thou saidst well, that thou hast no husband.
Oshe wabhozya wage, “Sendi nolume.” O Yesu wayanga, “Aje oyajile sawa, 'Aje sendi nolume;'
18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband; in this thou hast spoken truly.
afuatanaje oli nalumo wa sanu, mo wope wolinawo esalaze se lume waho. Hweli oyanjile lyoli!”
19 The woman saith to him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
Oshe wabhozya, “Ogosi aje elole ajewe oli kuwa.
20 Our fathers worshipped on this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
Yise bhetu bhaputile pigamba amwe mwiga aje Yerusalemu ndiyo sehemu ambayo awantu bhahwanzia waapute.”
21 Jesus saith to her, Believe me, woman, the hour is coming, when ye shall neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father.
O Yesu ajile, “Weshe, niteshele, ensiku zihwenza nasemwaihuputa Daada huigamba eli au hu Yelusalemu.
22 Ye worship that which ye know not; we worship that which we know; for salvation is from the Jews.
Amwe mubhantu muputa hasemuhamanye, afuatanaje ofyilwe ufuma hwa Yaudi.”
23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for such worshippers the Father seeketh.
Hata sheshi, ensiku zihwenza, neshi zihweli epa, nabhaihuputa Daada hu shiroho ne lyoli, afuatanaje oDaada abhanza abhantu bhabhali esho aje abhantu bhakwe bhabhahuputa.
24 God is a spirit; and they who worship must worship in spirit and in truth.
Ongolobhe weshi Roho, bhabhahuta bhahwanziwa bhaputaje hushiroho ne lyoli, afuatanaje odaada abhanza abhantu ebho bhabhahupata.”
25 The woman saith to him, I know that Messiah cometh (who is called Christ); when he hath come, he will tell us all things.
Oshe ola abhozya, “Emenye aje Yesu ohwenza, (wohwetwa Kilisiti). Ono nayenza aitibhozya gonti.”
26 Jesus saith to her, I who speak to thee am he.
O Yesu abhozya, “Ane woyanga nane nene.”
27 And upon this his disciples came, and marveled that he was talking with a woman. Yet no one said, What dost thou seek? or, Why dost thou talk with her?
Insiku ezyo abhanafunzi bhakwe bhawela. Bhope bhaswigaga yenu ali ayanga noshe, ila nomo walenjele ahubhozye, “Ohwanza yenu?” au “Yenu ayanga nawo?”
28 The woman then left her water-pot, and went away into the city, and saith to the men,
Esho oshe ola ayileha ensonta yakwe abhalile husokoni abhabhozye abhantu,
29 Come, see a man who told me all things which I have done. Is this the Christ?
“Enzaji mwenye omuntu wambozezye enongwa zyane zyonti zyebhomba, aje egawezehana aje agabhayo Kilisiti?”
30 They went out of the city, and came to him.
Bhafumile hu sokoni bhenza hwamwene.
31 In the mean while the disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, eat.
Pasanya abhanafunzi bhakwe bhalambile wajile, “Mwalimu alya eshalye.”
32 But he said to them, I have food to eat that ye know not of.
ila omwene abhabhozezye, “Ane endi nashalye shasemushimenye amwe.”
33 The disciples therefore said to one another, Hath any one brought him anything to eat?
Abhanafunzi bhabhozanya, nomo waleteye ahantu hahonti alye,” Aje bhaletile?”
34 Jesus saith to them, My food is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
O Yesu abhabhozya, “Eshalye shane hubhombe ensongwo zyakwe omwene wantumile nakamilisye embombo yakwe.
35 Do ye not say, There are yet four months, and the harvest cometh? Lo! I say to you, lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest.
Aje, semuyanga, 'Bado mezi gasanu emvuna ebhabhe tayari?” Embabho enyaji amagonda shagali tayari hu mvuna!
36 Already is the reaper receiving wages, and gathering fruit unto everlasting life; that both the sower and the reaper may rejoice together. (aiōnios g166)
Omwene wavuna aposhela na wonganye amatunda gewomi we wila wila, ili aje omwane watota na wope wavuna bhasongwe pandwemo. (aiōnios g166)
37 And herein is fulfilled the true saying, One soweth, and another reapeth.
Afuatanaje enjango ene ye lyoli, 'Omomo atotile awamwabho ayawila.'
38 I have sent you to reap that whereon ye have not labored. Others have labored, and ye have entered into their labor.
Nabhatumile avune hasemwambeleye, Wamo bhabhombile embombo namwe mwinjiehulishimo lwe mbombo yabho.”
39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in him because of the words of the woman, who testified, He told me all things which I have done.
Asamaria abhinji munsi ela bhamwetesheye afwatane ne taarifa ele yashe wayangaga enongwa zyonti zyanabhombile.”
40 When therefore the Samaritans came to him, they besought him to remain with them; and he remained there two days.
Shesho Asamaria bhahenzele bhahenzebhalambile aje akhale pamo na bhahale ahakhala hwa bhene ensiku kuni na mbili.
41 And many more believed on account of his word;
Abhinji bhonti bhamweteshela alengane ni izu lyakwe.
42 and said to the woman, No longer do we believe on account of what thou hast told us; for we have ourselves heard him, and know that this is in truth the Saviour of the world.
Bhabhozya ola oshe, “Tihweteshela sio aje hunongwa zyaho, afuatanaje ate tete tomvwezye, na esauti tihwelewa aje lyoli ono fyozi we nsi.”
43 And after the two days he went from that place into Galilee.
Baada ye nsiku ezyo zibhele, asogoye na bhale hu Galilaya.
44 For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honor in his own country.
Afuatanaje omwane yoyo atangazezye aje okuwaa saline heshima munsi yakwe yoyo.
45 When therefore he came into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all that he did in Jerusalem at the feast; for they also went to the feast.
Nahenzele afume hu Galilaya, Bhahu Galilaya bhakaribisizye bhali bhalolile embombo zyonti zyabhombile hu Yelusalemu hwahwali eshikulukulu, afwataneje abhene bhahuruliye hushi kulu kulu.
46 So he came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick, at Capernaum.
Ahenzele nante hu Kana ye Galilaya ohwo hwaguzenye amenze abhe divai. Pali no afisa ambaye omwana wakwe ali winu ohwo hu Kaperanaumu.
47 He, having heard that Jesus had come out of Judaea into Galilee, went to him, and asked him to go down and heal his son; for he was at the point of death.
Na homvezye aje oYesu afumile hu Yudea na abhalile hu Galilaya, abhalile hwa Yesu na hulambe aishe aponye omwana wakwe, wakati ali karibu afwe.
48 Then Jesus said to him, Unless ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.
O Yesu nkabhozya, “Amwe nkasemloli ehalama na mahajabu semuwezizye ahweteshele.
49 The nobleman saith to him, Sir, come down before my child die.
Olongozi ahayanga, “Gosi iha pansi omwana wane sali seele nafwe.”
50 Jesus saith to him, Go; thy son liveth. The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and went away.
O Yesu ahabhozya, “Bhalaga omwana waho mwomi.” Ola omuntu aheteshela izu lyayanjile oYesu wabhala wahwisogolela.
51 And as he was now going down, the servants met him, and brought word that his child was living.
Lwali ahwiha, abhomba mbombo bhakwe bhaposheye na hubhozye omwana waho ali mwomi.
52 Then he inquired of them the hour when he began to mend. And they said to him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.
Esho wabhabhozya muda nshi ou nafuu. Bhajibu, “Igamo umuda gwesa saba ehoma ehamalishe.”
53 So the father knew that it was in the same hour in which Jesus said to him, Thy son is living. And he himself believed, and his whole house.
Eshi ogosi bhakwe ahamanya aje umuda gwagula oYesu gwayanjile, “Mwana waho mwomi.” Esho omwene ne familia yakwe bhaheteshela.
54 This again, a second sign, Jesus wrought, when he had come out of Judaea into Galilee.
Ene yali halama yabhele yabhombile oYesu afumile hu Yudea abhale hu Galilaya.
