< John 4 >

1 When therefore Jesus knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,
Fa: lisi dunu ilia da nabi amo Yesu da fa: no bobogesu dunu hiougi amola amo hanoga fane salasi, amola ilia idi da Yonema hamoi ilia idi baligi dagoi.
2 (though Jesus himself did not baptize, but his disciples, )
(Be Yesu Hi da dunu hanoga hame fane sanasi. Ea ado ba: su dunu ilia fawane hamosu).
3 he left Judaea, and went again to Galilee.
4 And he must necessarily pass through Samaria.
5 He cometh therefore to a city of Samaria, called Sychar, near the piece of land which Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
Samelia soge ganodini ahoana, e da Saiga moilaiga doaga: i. Musa: , Ya: igobe ea bugili nasu sogebi amo moilai gadenene amo egefe Yousefema i dagoi.
6 And Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with the journey, was sitting thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.
7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water. Jesus saith to her, Give me to drink.
8 For his disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.
(Yesu Ea ado ba: su dunu da ha: i manu bidi lamusa: , moilaiga asi dagoi ba: i.)
9 The Samaritan woman saith to him, How is it that thou, who art a Jew, askest drink of me, who am a Samaritan woman? For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.
10 Jesus answered and said to her, If thou hadst known the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink, thou wouldst have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
Yesu E bu adole i, “Defea!
11 The woman saith to him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Whence hast thou the living water?
12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his sons, and his cattle?
Ninia aowalali eda Ya: igobe da amo hano nasu uli dogoi ninima i.
13 Jesus answered and said to her, Every one that drinketh of this water, will thirst again;
14 but whoever drinketh of the water that I will give him, will never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become within him a well of water springing up to everlasting life.
15 The woman saith to him, Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come hither to draw.
16 He saith to her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.
Yesu E amane sia: i, “Digua guiguda: misa: ne sia: musa: masa. Amalu bu misa!”
17 The woman answered, I have no husband. Jesus saith to her, Thou saidst well, that thou hast no husband.
18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband; in this thou hast spoken truly.
19 The woman saith to him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
Uda da fofogadigili sia: i, “Hina! Na da wali ba: sa! Di da balofede dunu!
20 Our fathers worshipped on this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
21 Jesus saith to her, Believe me, woman, the hour is coming, when ye shall neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 Ye worship that which ye know not; we worship that which we know; for salvation is from the Jews.
23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for such worshippers the Father seeketh.
24 God is a spirit; and they who worship must worship in spirit and in truth.
25 The woman saith to him, I know that Messiah cometh (who is called Christ); when he hath come, he will tell us all things.
26 Jesus saith to her, I who speak to thee am he.
27 And upon this his disciples came, and marveled that he was talking with a woman. Yet no one said, What dost thou seek? or, Why dost thou talk with her?
28 The woman then left her water-pot, and went away into the city, and saith to the men,
Amalalu, amo uda da ea hano disu gaga yolesili, moilaiga buhagili, Saiga dunuma amane olelei,
29 Come, see a man who told me all things which I have done. Is this the Christ?
“Hadiga! Ebeda! E da Mesaiala: ?”
30 They went out of the city, and came to him.
Amalalu, dunu huluane moilai yolesili, Yesuma doaga: musa: asi.
31 In the mean while the disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, eat.
Be amoha Yesu Ea ado ba: su dunu da Yesuma sia: amane adolalebe ba: i, “Olelesu! Ha: i manu moma!”
32 But he said to them, I have food to eat that ye know not of.
Be Yesu bu adole i, “Na da ha: i manu dilia hame dawa: liligi amo diala.”
33 The disciples therefore said to one another, Hath any one brought him anything to eat?
34 Jesus saith to them, My food is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
35 Do ye not say, There are yet four months, and the harvest cometh? Lo! I say to you, lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest.
36 Already is the reaper receiving wages, and gathering fruit unto everlasting life; that both the sower and the reaper may rejoice together.
37 And herein is fulfilled the true saying, One soweth, and another reapeth.
38 I have sent you to reap that whereon ye have not labored. Others have labored, and ye have entered into their labor.
Na da dilia ifabi amo ganodini dilia hame hamosu amoga ha: i manu faimusa: , asunasi. Amo ifabi ganodini, eno dunu ilia hawa: hamoi dagoiba: le, dilia da ilia hawa: hamosu ea bidi lamu.”
39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in him because of the words of the woman, who testified, He told me all things which I have done.
40 When therefore the Samaritans came to him, they besought him to remain with them; and he remained there two days.
41 And many more believed on account of his word;
42 and said to the woman, No longer do we believe on account of what thou hast told us; for we have ourselves heard him, and know that this is in truth the Saviour of the world.
Ilia da Samelia udama amane sia: i, “Dia sia: beba: le hame, be Ea sia: ninia gega nababeba: le, wali dafawaneyale dawa: be. Dafawane! E da osobo bagade fifi asi gala dunu ilima Gaga: sudafa misi.”
43 And after the two days he went from that place into Galilee.
Yesu da eso aduna aligili, amo soge yolesili, Ga: lili sogega asi.
44 For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honor in his own country.
45 When therefore he came into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all that he did in Jerusalem at the feast; for they also went to the feast.
46 So he came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick, at Capernaum.
Amalalu, Ga: ina moilai Ga: lili sogega (amo moilaiga Yesu da hano afadenene bu waini hano hamoi) amoga Yesu da buhagi. Amo moilaiga Gamane ouligisu dunu esalu. Egefe da Gabena: iame moilaiga oloi dialu.
47 He, having heard that Jesus had come out of Judaea into Galilee, went to him, and asked him to go down and heal his son; for he was at the point of death.
48 Then Jesus said to him, Unless ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.
49 The nobleman saith to him, Sir, come down before my child die.
Gamane ouligisu da bu adole i, “Hina!
50 Jesus saith to him, Go; thy son liveth. The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and went away.
51 And as he was now going down, the servants met him, and brought word that his child was living.
Ea diasuga doaga: musa: logoga ahoanoba, ea hawa: hamosu dunu ema doaga: le, amane sia: i, “Diagofe da hame bogoi uhini esala.”
52 Then he inquired of them the hour when he began to mend. And they said to him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.
Amalalu egefe ea bu uhisu eso ilegei amo e da ilima adole ba: i. Ilia bu adole i, “Aya baloga eso bega: be galu, ea asugi fisi.”
53 So the father knew that it was in the same hour in which Jesus said to him, Thy son is living. And he himself believed, and his whole house.
54 This again, a second sign, Jesus wrought, when he had come out of Judaea into Galilee.
Yesu da Yudia soge yolesili, Ga: lili amoga doaga: le, amo hamoi da musa: hame ba: su dawa: digima: ne olelesu hou ageyaduyale gala Yesu E hamoi galu.
