John 3
1 And there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
പരീശന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ ഒരു പ്രമാണിയായി നിക്കൊദേമൊസ് എന്നു പേരുള്ളോരു മനുഷ്യൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
2 This man came to him by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that thou hast come as a teacher from God; for no one can do these signs which thou doest, unless God be with him.
അവൻ രാത്രിയിൽ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു അവനോടു: റബ്ബീ, നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നിന്നു ഉപദേഷ്ടാവായി വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു; ദൈവം തന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇല്ലെങ്കിൽ നീ ചെയ്യുന്ന ഈ അടയാളങ്ങളെ ചെയ്‌വാൻ ആൎക്കും കഴികയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
3 Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly do I say to thee, Unless a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
യേശു അവനോടു: ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു; പുതുതായി ജനിച്ചില്ല എങ്കിൽ ദൈവരാജ്യം കാണ്മാൻ ആൎക്കും കഴിയകയില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
4 Nicodemus saith to him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter his mother's womb a second time, and be born?
നിക്കൊദേമൊസ് അവനോടു: മനുഷ്യൻ വൃദ്ധനായശേഷം ജനിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ? രണ്ടാമതും അമ്മയുടെ ഉദരത്തിൽ കടന്നു ജനിക്കാമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
5 Jesus answered, Truly, truly do I say to thee, Unless a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.
അതിന്നു യേശു: ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു: വെള്ളത്താലും ആത്മാവിനാലും ജനിച്ചില്ല എങ്കിൽ ദൈവരാജ്യത്തിൽ കടപ്പാൻ ആൎക്കും കഴികയില്ല.
6 That which is born of the flesh, is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit, is spirit.
ജഡത്താൽ ജനിച്ചതു ജഡം ആകുന്നു; ആത്മാവിനാൽ ജനിച്ചതു ആത്മാവു ആകുന്നു.
7 Marvel not that I said to thee, Ye must be born again.
നിങ്ങൾ പുതുതായി ജനിക്കേണം എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറകയാൽ ആശ്ചൎയ്യപ്പെടരുതു.
8 The wind bloweth where it will; and thou hearest the sound thereof, but knowest not whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
കാറ്റു ഇഷ്ടമുള്ളേടത്തു ഊതുന്നു; അതിന്റെ ശബ്ദം നീ കേൾക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അതു എവിടെനിന്നു വരുന്നു എന്നും എവിടേക്കു പോകുന്നു എന്നും അറിയുന്നില്ല; ആത്മാവിനാൽ ജനിച്ചവൻ എല്ലാം അതുപോലെ ആകുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
9 Nicodemus answered and said to him, How can these things be?
നിക്കൊദേമൊസ് അവനോടു: ഇതു എങ്ങനെ സംഭവിക്കും എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
10 Jesus answered and said to him, Art thou the teacher of Israel, and understandest not these things?
യേശു അവനോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: നീ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ഉപദേഷ്ടാവായിരുന്നിട്ടും ഇതു അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ?
11 Truly, truly do I say to thee, We speak that which we know, and testify that which we have seen; and ye receive not our testimony.
ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു: ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നതു പ്രസ്താവിക്കയും കണ്ടതു സാക്ഷീകരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഞങ്ങളുടെ സാക്ഷ്യം നിങ്ങൾ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നില്ലതാനും.
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how will ye believe if I tell you heavenly things?
ഭൂമിയിലുള്ളതു നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിലുള്ളതു നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞാൽ എങ്ങനെ വിശ്വസിക്കും?
13 And no one hath ascended into heaven, but he who came down from heaven, even the Son of man.
സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവന്ന[വനായി സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നവനായ] മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ അല്ലാതെ ആരും സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽ കയറീട്ടില്ല.
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up
മോശെ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ സൎപ്പത്തെ ഉയൎത്തിയതുപോലെ മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെയും ഉയൎത്തേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.
അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും നിത്യജീവൻ പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ. (aiōnios g166)
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave the only begotten Son, that every one who believeth in him may not perish, but may have everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
തന്റെ ഏകജാതനായ പുത്രനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും നശിച്ചുപോകാതെ നിത്യജീവൻ പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ദൈവം അവനെ നല്കുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ലോകത്തെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു. (aiōnios g166)
17 For God sent not the Son into the world to condemn the world, but that through him the world might be saved.
ദൈവം തന്റെ പുത്രനെ ലോകത്തിൽ അയച്ചതു ലോകത്തെ വിധിപ്പാനല്ല ലോകം അവനാൽ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുവാനത്രേ.
18 He that believeth in him is not condemned; he that believeth not hath already been condemned, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നു ന്യായവിധി ഇല്ല; വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവന്നു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഏകജാതാനായ പുത്രന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കായ്കയാൽ ന്യായവിധി വന്നുകഴിഞ്ഞു.
19 And this is the condemnation, that the light hath come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their deeds were evil.
ന്യായവിധി എന്നതോ, വെളിച്ചം ലോകത്തിൽ വന്നിട്ടും മനുഷ്യരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തി ദോഷമുള്ളതു ആകയാൽ അവർ വെളിച്ചത്തെക്കാൾ ഇരുളിനെ സ്നേഹിച്ചതു തന്നേ.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, and cometh not to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
തിന്മ പ്രവൎത്തിക്കുന്നവൻ എല്ലാം വെളിച്ചത്തെ പകെക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു ആക്ഷേപം വരാതിരിപ്പാൻ വെളിച്ചത്തിങ്കലേക്കു വരുന്നതുമില്ല.
21 But he that doeth the truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
സത്യം പ്രവൎത്തിക്കുന്നവനോ, തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി ദൈവത്തിൽ ചെയ്തിരിക്കയാൽ അതു വെളിപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു വെളിച്ചത്തിങ്കലേക്കു വരുന്നു.
22 After these things Jesus and his disciples came into the land of Judaea; and there he remained with them, and baptized.
അതിന്റെശേഷം യേശു ശിഷ്യന്മാരുമായി യെഹൂദ്യദേശത്തു വന്നു അവരോടുകൂടെ സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
23 And John also was baptizing in AEnon, near Salim, because there was much water there; and they came, and were baptized.
യോഹന്നാനും ശലേമിന്നു അരികത്തു ഐനോനിൽ സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; അവിടെ വളരെ വെള്ളം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ആളുകൾ വന്നു സ്നാനം ഏറ്റു.
24 For John was not yet thrown into prison.
അന്നു യോഹന്നാനെ തടവിൽ ആക്കിയിരുന്നില്ല.
25 Then there arose a question on the part of John's disciples with a Jew about purifying.
യോഹന്നാന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ ചിലൎക്കു ഒരു യെഹൂദനുമായി ശുദ്ധീകരണത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ഒരു വാദം ഉണ്ടായി;
26 And they came to John, and said to him, Rabbi, he who was with thee beyond the Jordan, to whom thou hast borne witness, behold, he baptizeth, and all men are going to him.
അവർ യോഹന്നാന്റെ അടുക്കൽവന്നു അവനോടു: റബ്ബീ, യോൎദ്ദാന്നക്കരെ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നവൻ, നീ സാക്ഷീകരിച്ചുട്ടുള്ളവൻ തന്നേ, ഇതാ, സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; എല്ലാവരും അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെല്ലുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, unless it be given him from heaven.
അതിന്നു യോഹന്നാൻ: സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നിന്നു കൊടുത്തിട്ടല്ലാതെ മനുഷ്യന്നു ഒന്നും ലഭിപ്പാൻ കഴികയില്ല.
28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I was sent before that man.
ഞാൻ ക്രിസ്തു അല്ല, അവന്നു മുമ്പായി അയക്കപ്പെട്ടവനത്രേ എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു നിങ്ങൾ തന്നേ എനിക്കു സാക്ഷികൾ ആകുന്നു.
29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. This my joy then hath become full.
മണവാട്ടി ഉള്ളവൻ മണവാളൻ ആകുന്നു; മണവാളന്റെ സ്നേഹിതനോ നിന്നു മണവാളന്റെ സ്വരം കേട്ടിട്ടു അത്യന്തം സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു; ഈ എന്റെ സന്തോഷം പൂൎത്തിയായിരിക്കുന്നു.
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
അവൻ വളരേണം, ഞാനോ കുറയേണം എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
31 He that cometh from above is above all. He that is from the earth is earthly, and speaketh earthly things; he that cometh from heaven
മേലിൽനിന്നു വരുന്നവൻ എല്ലാവൎക്കും മീതെയുള്ളവൻ; ഭൂമിയിൽ നിന്നുള്ളവൻ ഭൌമികൻ ആകുന്നു; ഭൌമികമായതു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു വരുന്നവൻ എല്ലാവൎക്കും മീതെയുള്ളവനായി താൻ കാണ്കയും കേൾക്കയും ചെയ്തതു സാക്ഷീകരിക്കുന്നു;
32 testifieth what he hath seen and heard; and no one receiveth his testimony.
അവന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യം ആരും കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നില്ല.
33 He that hath received his testimony hath set his seal that God is true.
അവന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യം കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവൻ ദൈവം സത്യവാൻ എന്നുള്ളതിന്നു മുദ്രയിടുന്നു.
34 For he whom God sent speaketh the words of God; for he giveth not the Spirit by measure.
ദൈവം അയച്ചവൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വചനം പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ ആത്മാവിനെ അളവുകൂടാതെയല്ലോ കൊടുക്കുന്നതു.
35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
പിതാവു പുത്രനെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു; സകലവും അവന്റെ കയ്യിൽ കൊടുത്തുമിരിക്കുന്നു.
36 He that believeth in the Son hath everlasting life; and he that disobeyeth the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him. (aiōnios g166)
പുത്രനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നു നിത്യജീവൻ ഉണ്ടു; പുത്രനെ അനുസരിക്കാത്തവനോ ജീവനെ കാണുകയില്ല; ദൈവക്രോധം അവന്റെമേൽ വസിക്കുന്നതേയുള്ള. (aiōnios g166)
