John 2
1 And on the third day there was a marriage-feast in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there.
౧మూడవ రోజున గలిలయ ప్రాంతంలో కానా అనే ఊరిలో ఒక పెళ్ళి జరిగింది. యేసు తల్లి అక్కడే ఉంది.
2 And both Jesus and his disciples were invited to the feast.
౨ఆ పెళ్ళికి యేసునూ ఆయన శిష్యులనూ కూడా పిలిచారు.
3 And they had no wine, because the wine of the feast had failed. Then the mother of Jesus saith to him, There is no wine.
౩విందులో ద్రాక్షారసం అయిపోయింది. అప్పుడు యేసు తల్లి ఆయనతో, “వీళ్ళ దగ్గర ద్రాక్షరసం అయిపోయింది” అని చెప్పింది.
4 Jesus saith to her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? My hour is not yet come.
౪యేసు ఆమెతో, “అయితే నాకేంటమ్మా? నా సమయం ఇంకా రాలేదు” అన్నాడు.
5 His mother saith to the servants, Whatever he saith to you, do it.
౫ఆయన తల్లి పనివారితో, “ఆయన మీకు ఏం చెబుతాడో అది చేయండి” అంది.
6 Now there were set there six water-pots of stone, in conformity with the Jews' custom of purifying, containing two or three firkins apiece.
౬యూదుల సంప్రదాయం ప్రకారం శుద్ధి చేసుకోడానికి సుమారు నూరు లీటర్ల నీళ్ళు పట్టే ఆరు రాతి బానలు అక్కడ ఉన్నాయి.
7 Jesus saith to them, Fill the water-pots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
౭యేసు, “ఆ బానలను నీళ్లతో నింపండి” అన్నాడు. వారు అలాగే వాటిని నిండుగా నింపారు.
8 And he saith to them, Draw out now, and bear it to the master of the feast. And they bore it.
౮అప్పుడు ఆయన, “ఇప్పుడు బానలో నుంచి కొంచెం రసం విందు ప్రధాన పర్యవేక్షకుడి దగ్గరికి తీసుకువెళ్ళండి” అన్నాడు. వారు అలాగే తీసుకువెళ్ళారు.
9 But when the master of the feast tasted the water that had been made wine, not knowing whence it was, but the servants who drew the water knew, he called the bridegroom
౯ద్రాక్షరసంగా మారిన ఆ నీటిని విందు ప్రధాన పర్యవేక్షకుడు రుచి చూశాడు. ఆ ద్రాక్షరసం ఎక్కడి నుండి వచ్చిందో అతనికి తెలియలేదు (కానీ దాన్ని తీసుకుని వచ్చిన పనివాళ్ళకు మాత్రం తెలుసు). అప్పుడు అతడు పెళ్ళి కొడుకుని పిలిపించి అతనితో,
10 and said to him, Every man setteth on the good wine first, and when men have drunk freely, that which is worse. Thou hast kept the good wine until now.
౧౦“అందరూ ముందు నాణ్యమైన ద్రాక్షరసం ఇస్తారు. అందరూ తాగి మత్తుగా ఉన్నప్పుడు చౌకబారు రసం పోస్తారు. అయితే నువ్వు చివరి వరకూ నాణ్యమైన రసాన్ని ఉంచావు” అన్నాడు.
11 This beginning of the signs Jesus made in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed in him.
౧౧యేసు చేసిన అద్భుతాల్లో ఈ మొదటి దాన్ని ఆయన గలిలయకు చెందిన కానాలో చేసి, తన మహిమను ప్రకటించాడు. దీని వలన ఆయన శిష్యులు ఆయనలో విశ్వాసముంచారు.
12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he and his mother, and his brothers, and his disciples; and they abode there not many days.
౧౨ఇదయ్యాక ఆయన తన తల్లీ, సోదరులూ, శిష్యులతో కలిసి కపెర్నహూముకు వెళ్ళాడు. అక్కడ వారు కొన్ని రోజులు ఉన్నారు.
13 And the passover of the Jews was near; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
౧౩యూదుల పండగ పస్కా దగ్గర పడినప్పుడు యేసు యెరూషలేముకు వెళ్ళాడు.
14 And he found in the temple those who sold oxen, and sheep, and doves, and the money-changers sitting.
౧౪అక్కడ దేవాలయంలో ఎద్దులనూ, గొర్రెలనూ, పావురాలనూ అమ్ముతున్న వారిని చూశాడు. అక్కడే కూర్చుని డబ్బు మారకం చేసే వారిని కూడా చూశాడు.
15 And having made a scourge of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and poured out the money of the exchangers, and overthrew the tables;
౧౫ఆయన పేనిన తాళ్ళను ఒక కొరడాగా చేసి దానితో వారందర్నీ దేవాలయం నుండి వెళ్ళగొట్టాడు. గొర్రెలనూ ఎద్దులనూ కూడా అక్కడి నుంచి తోలివేశాడు. డబ్బును మారకం చేసే వారి బల్లలను పడదోశాడు. వారి డబ్బును చెల్లాచెదరు చేశాడు.
16 and said to those who sold the doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house a house of merchandise.
౧౬పావురాలు అమ్మేవారితో ఆయన, “వీటిని ఇక్కడ్నించి తీసివేయండి. నా తండ్రి ఇంటిని వ్యాపార స్థలంగా చేయడం మానండి” అన్నాడు.
17 His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for thy house will consume me.”
౧౭ఆయన శిష్యులు, “నీ ఇంటిని గురించిన ఆసక్తి నన్ను తినివేస్తూ ఉంది” అని రాసి ఉన్న మాటను జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకున్నారు.
18 The Jews therefore answered and said to him, What sign dost thou show us, seeing thou doest these things?
౧౮అప్పుడు అక్కడి యూదు అధికారులు ఆయనతో, “నీవు ఈ పనులు చేస్తున్నావే. ఇవి చేయటానికి నీకు అధికారముందని చూపటానికి ఏ సూచన చూపుతావు?” అన్నారు.
19 Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
౧౯దానికి యేసు, “ఈ దేవాలయాన్ని కూల్చండి. మూడు రోజుల్లో దీన్ని లేపుతాను” అన్నాడు.
20 Then said the Jews, Forty-six years was this temple in building; and wilt thou raise it up in three days?
౨౦అప్పుడు యూదు అధికారులు, “ఈ దేవాలయాన్ని నిర్మించడానికి నలభై ఆరు సంవత్సరాలు పట్టింది. దీన్ని మూడు రోజుల్లోనే లేపుతావా?” అన్నారు.
21 But he spoke of the temple of his body.
౨౧అయితే ఆయన చెప్పింది తన శరీరం అనే దేవాలయం గురించి.
22 When therefore he had risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this; and they believed the Scripture, and the word which Jesus had spoken.
౨౨ఆయన చనిపోయి లేచిన తరువాత ఆయన శిష్యులు ఆయన పలికిన ఈ మాటను జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకున్నారు. ఆయన మాటను, లేఖనాలను వారు నమ్మారు.
23 And when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, at the feast, many believed in his name, when they saw his signs which he wrought.
౨౩ఆయన పస్కా పండగ రోజుల్లో యెరూషలేములో ఉన్నప్పుడు చాలామంది ఆయన చేసిన అద్భుతాలను చూసి ఆయన నామంలో విశ్వాసం ఉంచారు.
24 But Jesus did not trust himself to them, because he knew all men;
౨౪అయితే యేసుకు అందరూ తెలుసు. కాబట్టి ఆయన వారిని సంపూర్ణంగా నమ్మలేదు.
25 and had no need that any one should testify concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.
౨౫ఆయనకు మనుషుల అంతరంగం బాగా తెలుసు. ఎవరూ మనుషుల గురించి ఆయనకు చెప్పాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు.
