John 2
1 And on the third day there was a marriage-feast in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there.
Y al tercero día hiciéronse unas bodas en Cana de Galilea; y estaba allí la madre de Jesús.
2 And both Jesus and his disciples were invited to the feast.
Y fue también llamado Jesús, y sus discípulos a las bodas.
3 And they had no wine, because the wine of the feast had failed. Then the mother of Jesus saith to him, There is no wine.
Y faltando el vino, la madre de Jesús le dijo: No tienen vino.
4 Jesus saith to her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? My hour is not yet come.
Y le dice Jesús: ¿Qué tengo yo que ver contigo, mujer? aun no ha venido mi hora.
5 His mother saith to the servants, Whatever he saith to you, do it.
Su madre dice a los que servían: Hacéd todo lo que él os dijere.
6 Now there were set there six water-pots of stone, in conformity with the Jews' custom of purifying, containing two or three firkins apiece.
Y estaban allí seis tinajuelas de piedra, conforme a la purificación de los Judíos, que cabía en cada una dos o tres cántaros.
7 Jesus saith to them, Fill the water-pots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
Díceles Jesús: Llenád estas tinajuelas de agua. Y las llenaron hasta arriba.
8 And he saith to them, Draw out now, and bear it to the master of the feast. And they bore it.
Y díceles: Sacád ahora, y presentád al maestresala. Y presentáronle.
9 But when the master of the feast tasted the water that had been made wine, not knowing whence it was, but the servants who drew the water knew, he called the bridegroom
Y como el maestresala gustó el agua hecha vino, y no sabía de donde era; (mas los que servían, lo sabían, que habían sacado el agua: ) el maestresala llama al esposo,
10 and said to him, Every man setteth on the good wine first, and when men have drunk freely, that which is worse. Thou hast kept the good wine until now.
Y le dice: Todo hombre pone primero el buen vino; y cuando ya están hartos, entonces lo que es peor; mas tú has guardado el buen vino hasta ahora.
11 This beginning of the signs Jesus made in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed in him.
Este principio de milagros hizo Jesús en Cana de Galilea, y manifestó su gloria; y sus discípulos creyeron en él.
12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he and his mother, and his brothers, and his disciples; and they abode there not many days.
Después de esto descendió a Capernaum, él, y su madre, y sus hermanos, y sus discípulos; y estuvieron allí no muchos días.
13 And the passover of the Jews was near; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
Y estaba cerca la pascua de los Judíos, y subió Jesús a Jerusalem.
14 And he found in the temple those who sold oxen, and sheep, and doves, and the money-changers sitting.
Y halló en el templo los que vendían bueyes, y ovejas, y palomas, y los cambiadores sentados.
15 And having made a scourge of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and poured out the money of the exchangers, and overthrew the tables;
Y hecho un azote de cuerdas, echólos a todos del templo, y las ovejas, y los bueyes, y derramó los dineros de los cambiadores, y trastornó las mesas.
16 and said to those who sold the doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house a house of merchandise.
Y a los que vendían las palomas dijo: Quitád de aquí estas cosas, y no hagáis la casa de mi Padre casa de mercadería.
17 His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for thy house will consume me.”
Entonces se acordaron sus discípulos que estaba escrito: El zelo de tu casa me comió.
18 The Jews therefore answered and said to him, What sign dost thou show us, seeing thou doest these things?
Y los Judíos respondieron, y le dijeron: ¿Qué señal nos muestras, siendo así que tú haces estas cosas?
19 Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
Respondió Jesús, y les dijo: Destruíd este templo, y en tres días yo lo levantaré.
20 Then said the Jews, Forty-six years was this temple in building; and wilt thou raise it up in three days?
Dijeron luego los Judíos: ¿En cuarenta y seis años fue este templo edificado, y tú en tres días lo levantarás?
21 But he spoke of the temple of his body.
Mas él hablaba del templo de su cuerpo.
22 When therefore he had risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this; and they believed the Scripture, and the word which Jesus had spoken.
Por tanto cuando resucitó de los muertos, sus discípulos se acordaron que les había dicho esto, y creyeron a la Escritura, y a la palabra que Jesús había dicho.
23 And when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, at the feast, many believed in his name, when they saw his signs which he wrought.
Y estando él en Jerusalem en la pascua, en el día de la fiesta, muchos creyeron en su nombre, viendo los milagros que hacía.
24 But Jesus did not trust himself to them, because he knew all men;
Mas el mismo Jesús no se confiaba a sí mismo de ellos, porque él conocía a todos,
25 and had no need that any one should testify concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.
Y no tenía necesidad que alguien le diese testimonio del hombre; porque él sabía lo que había en el hombre.
