John 2
1 And on the third day there was a marriage-feast in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there.
ତୃତୀୟ ଦିବସରେ ଗାଲିଲୀର କାନ୍ନାରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ବିବାହ ହେଲା, ଆଉ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ମାତା ସେଠାରେ ଥିଲେ;
2 And both Jesus and his disciples were invited to the feast.
ଯୀଶୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣା ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସେହି ବିବାହକୁ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରିତ ହେଲେ।
3 And they had no wine, because the wine of the feast had failed. Then the mother of Jesus saith to him, There is no wine.
ପରେ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ସରିଯିବାରୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ମାତା ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ନାହିଁ।
4 Jesus saith to her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? My hour is not yet come.
ସେଥିରେ ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଗୋ ନାରୀ, ମୋତେ କାହିଁକି ଏଥିରେ ଜଡ଼ିତ କରୁଅଛ? ମୋହର ସମୟ ଏପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୋଇ ନାହିଁ।”
5 His mother saith to the servants, Whatever he saith to you, do it.
ତାହାଙ୍କ ମାତା ପରିଚାରକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯାହା କିଛି କହନ୍ତି, ତାହା କର।
6 Now there were set there six water-pots of stone, in conformity with the Jews' custom of purifying, containing two or three firkins apiece.
ଆଉ, ସେଠାରେ ଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ଶୁଚିକରଣ ରୀତି ଅନୁସାରେ ଦୁଇ ବା ତିନି ମହଣିଆ ଛଅଗୋଟା ପଥର ଜାହାଲା ରଖାଯାଇଥିଲା।
7 Jesus saith to them, Fill the water-pots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଜାହାଲାଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ପାଣି ଭର୍ତ୍ତି କର।” ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ସେହିସବୁ ଫନ୍ଦ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଭର୍ତ୍ତି କଲେ।
8 And he saith to them, Draw out now, and bear it to the master of the feast. And they bore it.
ଆଉ, ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଏବେ କାଢ଼ିନେଇ ଭୋଜର ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଘେନିଯାଅ।” ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ଘେନିଗଲେ।
9 But when the master of the feast tasted the water that had been made wine, not knowing whence it was, but the servants who drew the water knew, he called the bridegroom
ଭୋଜର ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସରେ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ ହୋଇଥିବା ସେହି ପାଣିକୁ ଚାଖି ତାହା କେଉଁଠାରୁ ଆସିଲା, ଏହା ଜାଣି ନ ଥିବାରୁ (କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେଉଁ ପରିଚାରକମାନେ ପାଣି କାଢ଼ିଥିଲେ, ସେମାନେ ଜାଣିଥିଲେ) ବରଙ୍କୁ ଡାକି କହିଲେ,
10 and said to him, Every man setteth on the good wine first, and when men have drunk freely, that which is worse. Thou hast kept the good wine until now.
ସମସ୍ତେ ପ୍ରଥମରେ ଭଲ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ଦେଇଥାଆନ୍ତି, ଆଉ ଲୋକେ ମାତାଲ ହେଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ମନ୍ଦ ଦିଅନ୍ତି; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଭଲ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ରଖିଅଛ।
11 This beginning of the signs Jesus made in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed in him.
ଯୀଶୁ ଏହି ପ୍ରକାରେ ଗାଲିଲୀର କାନ୍ନାରେ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟକର୍ମ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି ଆପଣା ମହିମା ପ୍ରକାଶ କଲେ, ଆଉ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କଲେ।
12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he and his mother, and his brothers, and his disciples; and they abode there not many days.
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେ ଆପଣା ମାତା, ଭାଇବୃନ୍ଦ ଓ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ କଫର୍ନାହୂମକୁ ଗଲେ; ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ସେଠାରେ ଅଧିକ ଦିନ ରହିଲେ ନାହିଁ।
13 And the passover of the Jews was near; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
ସେତେବେଳେ ଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କର ନିସ୍ତାର ପର୍ବ ସନ୍ନିକଟ ହୋଇଥିଲା, ଆଉ ଯୀଶୁ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରକୁ ଗଲେ।
14 And he found in the temple those who sold oxen, and sheep, and doves, and the money-changers sitting.
ପୁଣି, ସେ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ଗୋରୁ, ମେଣ୍ଢା ଓ କାପ୍ତା-ବ୍ୟବସାୟୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଉ ମୁଦ୍ରା-ବ୍ୟବସାୟୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ବସିଥିବା ଦେଖି ଦଉଡ଼ିରେ ଗୋଟିଏ କୋରଡ଼ା ବନାଇ ମେଣ୍ଢା ଓ ଗୋରୁ ସହିତ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ମନ୍ଦିରରୁ ବାହାର କରିଦେଲେ;
15 And having made a scourge of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and poured out the money of the exchangers, and overthrew the tables;
ପୁଣି, ମୁଦ୍ରା-ବ୍ୟବସାୟୀମାନଙ୍କର ମୁଦ୍ରାସବୁ ବିଞ୍ଚିଦେଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମେଜଗୁଡ଼ାକ ଓଲଟାଇ ପକାଇଲେ;
16 and said to those who sold the doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house a house of merchandise.
ଆଉ, ସେ କାପ୍ତା-ବ୍ୟବସାୟୀମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଏଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଏଠାରୁ ଘେନିଯାଅ, ମୋହର ସ୍ୱର୍ଗସ୍ଥ ପିତା ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଗୃହକୁ ବାଣିଜ୍ୟର ଗୃହ କର ନାହିଁ।”
17 His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for thy house will consume me.”
ତୁମ୍ଭ ଗୃହ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଉଦ୍ଯୋଗ ମୋତେ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିବ, ଏହା ଲେଖାଅଛି ବୋଲି ତାହାଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କର ମନରେ ପଡ଼ିଲା।
18 The Jews therefore answered and said to him, What sign dost thou show us, seeing thou doest these things?
ସେଥିରେ କେତେକ ଯିହୁଦୀ ନେତାମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ଏସମସ୍ତ କରିବାକୁ ଅଧିକାର ପାଇଅଛ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସେଥିର କି ଚିହ୍ନ ଦେଖାଉଅଛ?
19 Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏହି ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ବିନାଶ କର, ଆଉ ତିନି ଦିନ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ମୁଁ ତାହା ତୋଳି ଦେବି।”
20 Then said the Jews, Forty-six years was this temple in building; and wilt thou raise it up in three days?
ସେଥିରେ ଯିହୁଦୀମାନେ କହିଲେ, ଏହି ମନ୍ଦିର ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଛୟାଳିଶ ବର୍ଷ ଲାଗିଅଛି; ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କଅଣ ତାହାକୁ ତିନି ଦିନରେ ତୋଳି ଦେବ?
21 But he spoke of the temple of his body.
କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ଆପଣା ଶରୀରରୂପ ମନ୍ଦିର ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ କହୁଥିଲେ।
22 When therefore he had risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this; and they believed the Scripture, and the word which Jesus had spoken.
ଏଣୁ ସେ ମୃତମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଉତ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ସେ ଏହା କହିଥିଲେ ବୋଲି ସ୍ମରଣ କଲେ; ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ର ଓ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ କଥିତ ବାକ୍ୟ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କଲେ।
23 And when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, at the feast, many believed in his name, when they saw his signs which he wrought.
ନିସ୍ତାର ପର୍ବର ଉତ୍ସବ ସମୟରେ ସେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରରେ ଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଅନେକେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସାଧିତ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟକର୍ମଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଦେଖି ତାହାଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କଲେ,
24 But Jesus did not trust himself to them, because he knew all men;
କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ନ କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆପଣାକୁ ପୃଥକ ରଖିଲେ, କାରଣ ସେ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣିଥିଲେ,
25 and had no need that any one should testify concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.
ପୁଣି, କେହି ଯେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ବିଷୟରେ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦେବ, ଏହା ତାହାଙ୍କର ପ୍ରୟୋଜନ ନ ଥିଲା, ଯେଣୁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଅନ୍ତରରେ କଅଣ ଅଛି, ତାହା ସେ ଆପେ ଜାଣିଥିଲେ।
