John 2
1 And on the third day there was a marriage-feast in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there.
Kwathi ngosuku lwesithathu kwaba khona umtshado eKana yeGalili; lonina kaJesu wayekhona lapho;
2 And both Jesus and his disciples were invited to the feast.
njalo uJesu laye wayenxusiwe labafundi bakhe emtshadweni.
3 And they had no wine, because the wine of the feast had failed. Then the mother of Jesus saith to him, There is no wine.
Kwathi iwayini selisweleka, unina kaJesu wathi kuye: Kabalalo iwayini.
4 Jesus saith to her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? My hour is not yet come.
UJesu wathi kuye: Mama, ngilani lawe? Ihola lami kalikafiki.
5 His mother saith to the servants, Whatever he saith to you, do it.
Unina wathi kuzinceku: Yenzani loba yikuphi azalitshela khona.
6 Now there were set there six water-pots of stone, in conformity with the Jews' custom of purifying, containing two or three firkins apiece.
Kwakukhona lapho imbiza zamanzi ezamatshe zimiswe njengokokuhlambulula kwamaJuda, inye ingena amaphoco amabili kumbe amathathu.
7 Jesus saith to them, Fill the water-pots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
UJesu wathi kuzo: Gcwalisani imbiza zamanzi ngamanzi. Zasezizigcwalisa zathi kliki.
8 And he saith to them, Draw out now, and bear it to the master of the feast. And they bore it.
Wasesithi kuzo: Khanini khathesi, lise kumphathi wokudla. Zasezikusa.
9 But when the master of the feast tasted the water that had been made wine, not knowing whence it was, but the servants who drew the water knew, he called the bridegroom
Umphathi wokudla esizwa amanzi asebe liwayini, engazi ukuthi livela ngaphi (kodwa inceku ezaziwakhile amanzi zazisazi), umphathi wokudla wabiza umyeni,
10 and said to him, Every man setteth on the good wine first, and when men have drunk freely, that which is worse. Thou hast kept the good wine until now.

11 This beginning of the signs Jesus made in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed in him.
Lokho kuyikuqala kwezibonakaliso uJesu akwenza eKana yeGalili wabonakalisa inkazimulo yakhe; labafundi bakhe bakholwa kuye.
12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he and his mother, and his brothers, and his disciples; and they abode there not many days.
Emva kwalokho wehlela eKapenawume, yena, lonina, labafowabo, labafundi bakhe; njalo bahlala khona kungeyisikho okwensuku ezinengi.
13 And the passover of the Jews was near; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
Iphasika lamaJuda laselisondele, uJesu wasesenyukela eJerusalema.
14 And he found in the temple those who sold oxen, and sheep, and doves, and the money-changers sitting.
Wafica ethempelini labo abathengisa inkabi lezimvu lamajuba, labantshintshi bemali behlezi.
15 And having made a scourge of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and poured out the money of the exchangers, and overthrew the tables;
Esenze isiswepu sezintambo wabaxotsha bonke ethempelini, izimvu kanye lenkabi; wachitha imali yabantshintshisayo, wagenqula amatafula;
16 and said to those who sold the doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house a house of merchandise.
wasesithi kwabathengisa amajuba: Susani lezizinto lapha; lingenzi indlu kaBaba indlu yokuthengisela.
17 His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for thy house will consume me.”
Abafundi bakhe basebekhumbula ukuthi kulotshiwe ukuthi: Ukutshisekela indlu yakho kungidlile.
18 The Jews therefore answered and said to him, What sign dost thou show us, seeing thou doest these things?
Ngakho amaJuda aphendula athi kuye: Usitshengisa isibonakaliso bani, sokuthi wenze lezizinto?
19 Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
UJesu waphendula wathi kuwo: Dilizani lelithempeli, njalo ngensuku ezintathu ngizalivusa.
20 Then said the Jews, Forty-six years was this temple in building; and wilt thou raise it up in three days?
AmaJuda asesithi: Okweminyaka engamatshumi amane lesithupha lelithempeli lakhiwa, wena-ke uzalivusa ngensuku ezintathu yini?
21 But he spoke of the temple of his body.
Kodwa yena wayekhuluma ngethempeli lomzimba wakhe.
22 When therefore he had risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this; and they believed the Scripture, and the word which Jesus had spoken.
Ngakho, kwathi esevukile kwabafileyo, abafundi bakhe bakhumbula ukuthi wayekutshilo lokhu kubo; bakholwa umbhalo, lelizwi ayelitshilo uJesu.
23 And when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, at the feast, many believed in his name, when they saw his signs which he wrought.
Njalo kwathi eseJerusalema ngephasika, emkhosini, abanengi bakholwa ebizweni lakhe, bebona izibonakaliso zakhe azenzayo;
24 But Jesus did not trust himself to them, because he knew all men;
kodwa uJesu ngokwakhe kazinikelanga yena kubo, ngoba yena wayebazi bonke,
25 and had no need that any one should testify concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.
langenxa yokuthi wayengasweli ukuthi loba ngubani afakaze ngomuntu; ngoba yena wayekwazi okusemuntwini.
