1 And on the third day there was a marriage-feast in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there.
Pa tsiku lachitatu munali ukwati mu Kana wa ku Galileya. Amayi ake a Yesu anali komweko,
2 And both Jesus and his disciples were invited to the feast.
ndipo Yesu ndi ophunzira ake anayitanidwanso ku ukwatiwo.
3 And they had no wine, because the wine of the feast had failed. Then the mother of Jesus saith to him, There is no wine.
Vinyo atatha, amayi a Yesu anati kwa Iye, “Wawathera vinyo.”
4 Jesus saith to her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? My hour is not yet come.
Yesu anayankha kuti, “Amayi, chifukwa chiyani mukundiwuza Ine? Nthawi yanga sinakwane.”
5 His mother saith to the servants, Whatever he saith to you, do it.
Amayi ake anati kwa antchito, “Inu muchite chilichonse chimene akuwuzeni.”
6 Now there were set there six water-pots of stone, in conformity with the Jews' custom of purifying, containing two or three firkins apiece.
Pamenepo panali mitsuko yamiyala yothiramo madzi isanu ndi umodzi, imene Ayuda amagwiritsa ntchito pa mwambo wodziyeretsa. Uliwonse unali ndi malita 100 kapena kupitirirapo.

Yesu anati kwa antchitowo, “Dzazani madzi mʼmitsukoyi,” ndipo iwo anadzaza ndendende.
8 And he saith to them, Draw out now, and bear it to the master of the feast. And they bore it.
Ndipo Iye anatinso kwa iwo, “Tsopano tungani ndipo kaperekeni kwa mkulu waphwando.” Iwo anachita momwemo.
9 But when the master of the feast tasted the water that had been made wine, not knowing whence it was, but the servants who drew the water knew, he called the bridegroom

ndipo anati, “Aliyense amatulutsa vinyo wokoma kwambiri poyambirira ndipo kenaka vinyo wosakoma pamene oyitanidwa atamwa kale wambiri; koma iwe wasunga wokoma mpaka tsopano.”
11 This beginning of the signs Jesus made in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed in him.
Ichi chinali chizindikiro chodabwitsa choyamba chimene Yesu anachita ku Kana wa ku Galileya. Potero Iye anawulula ulemerero wake, ndipo ophunzira ake anamukhulupirira Iye.
12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he and his mother, and his brothers, and his disciples; and they abode there not many days.
Zitatha izi Iye anatsikira ku Kaperenawo pamodzi ndi amayi ake, abale ake ndi ophunzira ake. Iwo anakhala kumeneko masiku owerengeka.
13 And the passover of the Jews was near; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

14 And he found in the temple those who sold oxen, and sheep, and doves, and the money-changers sitting.

Kwa amene amagulitsa nkhunda, Iye anati, “Tulutsani izi muno! Osasandutsa Nyumba ya Atate anga msika!”
17 His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for thy house will consume me.”
Ophunzira ake anakumbukira kuti zinalembedwa kuti, “Kudzipereka kwanga ku nyumba yanu kudzandiphetsa.”
18 The Jews therefore answered and said to him, What sign dost thou show us, seeing thou doest these things?
Kenaka Ayuda anamufunsa Yesu kuti, “Kodi mungationetse chizindikiro chodabwitsa chotani chotsimikizira ulamuliro wanu wochitira izi?”
19 Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
Yesu anawayankha kuti, “Gwetsani Nyumba ya Mulunguyi ndipo Ine ndidzayimanganso mʼmasiku atatu.”
20 Then said the Jews, Forty-six years was this temple in building; and wilt thou raise it up in three days?
Ayuda anayankha kuti, “Zinatenga zaka makumi anayi kumanga Nyumbayi, kodi Inu mungayimange masiku atatu?”
21 But he spoke of the temple of his body.
Koma Nyumba ya Mulungu imene amanena linali thupi lake.
22 When therefore he had risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this; and they believed the Scripture, and the word which Jesus had spoken.

24 But Jesus did not trust himself to them, because he knew all men;
Koma Yesu sanawakhulupirire iwo, pakuti amadziwa anthu onse.
25 and had no need that any one should testify concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.
