John 17
1 When Jesus had thus spoken, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father! the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the Son may glorify thee;
Estas cosas habló Jesús, y levantados los ojos al cielo, dijo: Padre, la hora ha venido, glorifica a tu Hijo, para que también tu Hijo te glorifique a ti:
2 according as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that he should give everlasting life to all whom thou hast given him. (aiōnios g166)
Como le has dado poder sobre toda carne, para que a todos los que le diste, les dé vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
3 And this is the everlasting life, to know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou didst send. (aiōnios g166)
Y esta es la vida eterna, que te conozcan a ti, solo Dios verdadero, y a Jesu Cristo a quien tú enviaste. (aiōnios g166)
4 I have glorified thee on the earth, having finished the work which thou gavest me to do;
Yo te he glorificado en la tierra, he acabado la obra que me diste que hiciese.
5 and now, Father! do thou glorify me with thyself, with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
Ahora pues, Padre, glorifícame tú en ti mismo con aquella gloria que tuve contigo antes que el mundo fuese.
6 I manifested thy name to the men whom thou gavest me out of the world. Thine they were, and thou gavest them to me; and they have kept thy word.
He manifestado tu nombre a los hombres que del mundo me diste: tuyos eran, y me los diste a mí, y guardaron tu palabra.
7 Now they know that all things whatever thou hast given me are from thee;
Ahora han ya conocido que todas las cosas que me diste, son de ti.
8 for I have given to them the words which thou hast given me; and they received them, and knew surely that I came forth from thee, and believed that thou didst send me.
Porque las palabras que me diste, les he dado; y ellos las recibieron, y han conocido verdaderamente que salí de ti, y han creído que tú me enviaste.
9 I pray for them; I pray not for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine;
Yo ruego por ellos: no ruego por el mundo, sino por los que me diste, porque tuyos son.
10 and all things that are mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
Y todas mis cosas son tus cosas, y tus cosas son mis cosas; y he sido glorificado en ellas.
11 And I am no longer in the world; and they are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father! keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we are.
Y ya no estoy en el mundo; mas estos están en el mundo, que yo a ti vengo. Padre santo, guárdalos por tu nombre; a los cuales me has dado, para que sean uno, así como nosotros lo somos.
12 While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast given me, and guarded them; and no one of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture may be fulfilled.
Cuando yo estaba con ellos en el mundo, yo los guardaba por tu nombre, a los cuales me diste: yo los guardé, y ninguno de ellos se perdió sino el hijo de perdición, para que la Escritura se cumpliese.
13 But now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy made full in them.
Mas ahora vengo a ti, y hablo estas cosas en el mundo, para que ellos tengan mi gozo cumplido en sí mismos.
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Yo les di tu palabra, y el mundo los ha aborrecido; porque ellos no son del mundo, como tampoco yo soy del mundo.
15 I do not pray thee to take them out of the world, but to keep them from evil.
No ruego que los quites del mundo, sino que los guardes del malo.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Ellos no son del mundo, como tampoco yo soy del mundo.
17 Sanctify them in thy truth; thy word is truth.
Santifícalos por tu verdad: tu palabra es la verdad.
18 As thou didst send me into the world, I also sent them into the world.
Como tú me enviaste al mundo, también yo los he enviado al mundo.
19 And in their behalf I sanctify myself, that they also may be sanctified in the truth.
Y por ellos yo me santifico a mí mismo; para que también ellos sean santificados por la verdad.
20 Yet not for these alone do I pray, but also for those who believe in me through their word;
Mas no ruego solamente por ellos; sino también por los que han de creer en mí por la palabra de ellos.
21 that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me and I in thee, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that thou didst send me.
Para que todos ellos sean uno: así como tú, oh Padre, eres en mí, y yo en ti; que también ellos en nosotros sean uno; para que el mundo crea que tú me enviaste.
22 And the glory which thou hast given me, I have given them, that they may be one, even as we are one;
Y yo la gloria que me diste, les he dado a ellos; para que sean uno, como también nosotros somos uno.
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one, that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
Yo en ellos, y tú en mí, para que sean consumados en uno, y para que el mundo conozca que tú me enviaste, y que los has amado a ellos, como también a mí me has amado.
24 Father! as to that which thou hast given me, I desire that they also be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me; for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
Padre, aquellos que me has dado, quiero que donde yo estoy, ellos estén también conmigo; para que vean mi gloria que me has dado, porque me has amado desde antes de la constitución del mundo.
25 Righteous Father! and yet the world knew thee not! but I knew thee, and these knew that thou didst send me.
Padre justo, el mundo no te ha conocido; mas yo te he conocido; y estos han conocido que tú me enviaste.
26 And I made known to them thy name, and will make it known; that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
Y yo les hice conocer tu nombre, y lo haré conocer; para que el amor, con que me has amado, esté en ellos, y yo en ellos.
