John 17
1 When Jesus had thus spoken, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father! the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the Son may glorify thee;
Jesús habló estas cosas. Levantó su mirada al cielo y dijo: Padre, llegó la hora. Glorifica a tu Hijo para que Él te glorifique,
2 according as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that he should give everlasting life to all whom thou hast given him. (aiōnios g166)
por cuanto le concediste autoridad sobre toda persona, para que otorgue vida eterna a todos los que le diste. (aiōnios g166)
3 And this is the everlasting life, to know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou didst send. (aiōnios g166)
Ésta es la vida eterna: que te conozcan como [el] único Dios verdadero, y a Jesucristo, a Quien enviaste. (aiōnios g166)
4 I have glorified thee on the earth, having finished the work which thou gavest me to do;
Te glorifiqué al acabar la obra que me encomendaste para que hiciera en la tierra.
5 and now, Father! do thou glorify me with thyself, with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
Ahora, Padre, glorifícame Tú junto a Ti con la gloria que tenía contigo antes que existiera el mundo.
6 I manifested thy name to the men whom thou gavest me out of the world. Thine they were, and thou gavest them to me; and they have kept thy word.
Manifesté tu Nombre a los hombres que me diste del mundo. Tuyos eran y me los diste. Y han guardado tu Palabra.
7 Now they know that all things whatever thou hast given me are from thee;
Ahora han sabido que todas las cosas que me diste proceden de Ti,
8 for I have given to them the words which thou hast given me; and they received them, and knew surely that I came forth from thee, and believed that thou didst send me.
porque les he hablado las Palabras que me diste. Ellos [las] recibieron, entendieron que verdaderamente salí de Ti y creyeron que Tú me enviaste.
9 I pray for them; I pray not for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine;
Yo ruego por ellos. No ruego por el mundo, sino por los que me diste, pues son tuyos.
10 and all things that are mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
Todo lo mío es tuyo, y lo tuyo, mío. He sido glorificado en ellos.
11 And I am no longer in the world; and they are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father! keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we are.
Ya no estoy en el mundo, pero ellos están en el mundo, y Yo voy a Ti. Padre Santo, guárdalos en tu Nombre, el cual me diste, para que sean uno como Nosotros.
12 While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast given me, and guarded them; and no one of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture may be fulfilled.
Mientras estaba con ellos, Yo los guardaba en tu Nombre que me diste, y los cuidé. Ninguno de ellos se perdió sino el hijo de perdición, para que se cumpliera la Escritura.
13 But now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy made full in them.
Pero ahora voy a Ti, y hablo estas cosas en el mundo para que tengan mi gozo completo en ellos mismos.
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Yo les he dado tu Palabra. El mundo los aborreció, porque no son del mundo como Yo no soy del mundo.
15 I do not pray thee to take them out of the world, but to keep them from evil.
No ruego que los saques del mundo, sino que los guardes del maligno.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
No son del mundo, como Yo no soy del mundo.
17 Sanctify them in thy truth; thy word is truth.
Santifícalos en la verdad. Tu Palabra es verdad.
18 As thou didst send me into the world, I also sent them into the world.
Como me enviaste al mundo, también Yo los envié al mundo.
19 And in their behalf I sanctify myself, that they also may be sanctified in the truth.
Por ellos Yo me santifico, para que también ellos sean santificados en verdad.
20 Yet not for these alone do I pray, but also for those who believe in me through their word;
Pero no ruego solo por éstos, sino también por los que crean en Mí por la palabra de ellos,
21 that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me and I in thee, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that thou didst send me.
para que todos sean uno. Como Tú, Padre, en Mí, y Yo en Ti, que también ellos estén en Nosotros, para que el mundo crea que Tú me enviaste.
22 And the glory which thou hast given me, I have given them, that they may be one, even as we are one;
Yo les he dado la gloria que me has dado para que sean uno, como Nosotros somos Uno.
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one, that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
Yo en ellos y Tú en Mí, para que sean perfeccionados en uno, para que el mundo sepa que Tú me enviaste, y los amaste como me amaste [a Mí].
24 Father! as to that which thou hast given me, I desire that they also be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me; for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
Padre, quiero que los que me diste estén donde Yo estoy, para que contemplen la gloria que me diste, porque me amaste antes de [la] fundación del mundo.
25 Righteous Father! and yet the world knew thee not! but I knew thee, and these knew that thou didst send me.
Padre justo, el mundo no te conoció, pero Yo te conocí. Y éstos entendieron que Tú me enviaste.
26 And I made known to them thy name, and will make it known; that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
Les di a conocer y les daré a conocer tu Nombre, para que el amor con el cual Tú me amaste esté en ellos, y Yo en ellos.
