John 17
1 When Jesus had thus spoken, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father! the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the Son may glorify thee;
Yesuus wantoota kanneen dubbatee gara samii ol ilaalee akkana jedhe: “Yaa Abbaa, saʼaatiin sun gaʼeera. Akka Ilmi kees ulfina siif kennuuf, ati Ilma keetiif ulfina kenni.
2 according as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that he should give everlasting life to all whom thou hast given him. (aiōnios g166)
Akka inni warra ati isaaf kennite hundaaf jireenya bara baraa kennuuf, nama hunda irratti taayitaa isaaf kenniteertaatii. (aiōnios g166)
3 And this is the everlasting life, to know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou didst send. (aiōnios g166)
Jireenyi bara baraas kana: innis akka isaan siʼi Waaqa dhugaa tokkichaa fi Yesuus Kiristoos isa ati ergite sana beekaniif. (aiōnios g166)
4 I have glorified thee on the earth, having finished the work which thou gavest me to do;
Ani hojii ati akka ani hojjedhuuf natti kennite sana raawwachuudhaan lafa irratti ulfina siif kenneera.
5 and now, Father! do thou glorify me with thyself, with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
Yaa Abbaa, amma immoo ati ulfina ani utuu addunyaan hin uumaminiin dura si biratti qabaadhe sanaan of biratti na ulfeessi.
6 I manifested thy name to the men whom thou gavest me out of the world. Thine they were, and thou gavest them to me; and they have kept thy word.
“Ani namoota ati addunyaa keessaa naa kennitetti maqaa kee beeksiseera. Isaan kan kee turan; ati isaan naa kennite; isaanis dubbii kee eeganiiru.
7 Now they know that all things whatever thou hast given me are from thee;
Isaan akka wanni ati anaaf kennite hundumtuu si biraa dhufe amma beekaniiru.
8 for I have given to them the words which thou hast given me; and they received them, and knew surely that I came forth from thee, and believed that thou didst send me.
Ani dubbii ati anaaf kennite isaaniif kenneeraatii; isaanis fudhataniiru. Akka ani si biraa baʼes dhugumaan beekaniiru; akka ati na ergites amananiiru.
9 I pray for them; I pray not for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine;
Ani isaaniif nan kadhadha. Warri ati naa kennite waan kan kee taʼaniif isaaniifin kadhadha malee addunyaaf hin kadhadhu.
10 and all things that are mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
Wanni ani qabu hundinuu kan kee ti; wanni ati qabdu hundinuus kan koo ti. Anis kanaan ulfina nan argadha.
11 And I am no longer in the world; and they are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father! keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we are.
Ani siʼachi addunyaa keessa hin turu; isaan garuu amma iyyuu addunyaa keessa jiru; ani gara kee nan dhufa. Yaa Abbaa Qulqulluu, akkuma nu tokko taane sana isaanis tokko akka taʼaniif maqaa kee kan naa kennite sanaan isaan eegi.
12 While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast given me, and guarded them; and no one of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture may be fulfilled.
Ani yeroo isaan wajjin turetti, maqaa kee kan ati naa kennite sanaan isaan nan eege; isaan eegeeras. Akka Katabbiin Qulqulluun raawwatamuufis ilma badii sana malee isaan keessaa namni tokko iyyuu hin badne.
13 But now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy made full in them.
“Amma garuu ani gara kee nan dhufa; gammachuun koos akka isaan keessatti guutuu taʼuuf, ani amma iyyuu utuman addunyaa keessa jiruu wantoota kanneen nan dubbadha.
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Ani dubbii kee isaaniif kenneera; akkuma ani kan addunyaa hin taʼin, isaanis waan kan addunyaa hin taʼiniif, addunyaan isaan jibbeera.
15 I do not pray thee to take them out of the world, but to keep them from evil.
Ani akka ati isa hamaa sana isaan irraa eegduuf malee akka ati addunyaa keessaa isaan baaftuuf si hin kadhadhu.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Akkuma ani kan addunyaa hin taʼin isaanis akkasuma kan addunyaa miti.
17 Sanctify them in thy truth; thy word is truth.
Dhugaadhaan isaan qulqulleessi; dubbiin kee dhugaa dha.
18 As thou didst send me into the world, I also sent them into the world.
Akkuma ati gara addunyaatti na ergite sana anis gara addunyaatti isaan ergeera.
19 And in their behalf I sanctify myself, that they also may be sanctified in the truth.
Akka isaanis dhugumaan qulqullaaʼaniif, ani isaaniif jedhee of nan qulqulleessa.
20 Yet not for these alone do I pray, but also for those who believe in me through their word;
“Ani warra dubbii isaaniitiin natti amananiifis malee isaan kana qofaaf hin kadhadhu;
21 that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me and I in thee, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that thou didst send me.
kunis yaa Abbaa, akkuma ati na keessa jirtu, anis si keessa jiru sana, akka hundi isaanii tokko taʼaniif. Akka ati na ergite addunyaan akka amanuuf isaanis nu keessa haa jiraatan.
22 And the glory which thou hast given me, I have given them, that they may be one, even as we are one;
Akkuma nu tokko taane isaanis tokko akka taʼaniif, ulfina ati naaf kennite sana anis isaaniif kenneera;
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one, that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
kunis akka isaan guutummaatti tokko taʼaniif ani isaan keessa nan jiraadha; ati immoo na keessa jiraatta. Yoos akka ati na ergitee fi akkuma na jaallattetti akka isaanis jaallatte addunyaan ni beeka.
24 Father! as to that which thou hast given me, I desire that they also be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me; for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
“Yaa Abbaa, akka warri ati naa kennite kunneen iddoo ani jiru na wajjin jiraatanii fi akka isaan ulfina koo kan ati utuu addunyaan hin uumaminiin dura waan na jaallatteef naa kennite sana arganis nan barbaada.
25 Righteous Father! and yet the world knew thee not! but I knew thee, and these knew that thou didst send me.
“Yaa Abbaa Qajeelticha, addunyaan si hin beeku; ani garuu sin beeka; isaan kunis akka ati na ergite ni beeku.
26 And I made known to them thy name, and will make it known; that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
Akkan jaalalli ati ittiin na jaallatte sun isaan keessa jiraatuuf, anis akka isaan keessa jiraadhuuf ani akka maqaan kee isaan biratti beekamu godheera; akka beekamus nan godha.”
